Great video, CJ. Good overview.
Thank you Zak. It means a lot!
and thank you Zak for pointing us here, I agree, really good overview even for players such as my self that have dipped in and out TLD for years now.
This was straight to the point, so hard to find these recently for any game cuz "more minutes watched blah blah blah" algorithm
WAIT WAIT WAIT...
Bears are now afraid of fires?
LUXURY! SHEER LUXURY! When I played the game, the bear did not give a CRAP about fires.
This made me wake up my husband laughing 🤣 I feel the same way.
Great videos. Just a tip for loper "beginners" who don't want to travel to HRV for the hammer:
Currently, there is always 1 guaranteed hammer in Mystery Lake and 1 guaranteed hacksaw in Forlorn Muskeg. Head there if you want to save the trouble of climbing and navigating HRV.
Amazing job! It's really hard to take something so complicated like interloper and distilling it down to a
Thank you shabby! Yeah, i basically tried to do the opposite of my other more in-depth videos
Such as me. Making my first go of it now.
Great video man! Just started my loper run in Ash canyon, currently at the PV plane crash cave. I’ve always piled on wood with the forge and topped off the maxed out fire with 4 coal to push the temp to 160
What a terrific video. One of the best, and least fussy, summaries I’ve seen. Hope for more and that your channel grows.
fantastic video. i love how much effort you put into getting matching footage for every point!
Straight to the point, no useless info, nice! Great job, King!
Don’t forget cloth like I usually do 😂 Great video.
This video motivated me to start Interloper run. 113 days . I still enjoy stalker more, but I am surprised I managed survive for that long.
That deer shot at 6mins man haha that was special.
Really helped, starting my new world while watching this
Great condensed overview.
Amazing Video Cj ,Loved the editing and really nicely explained if someone needed some help with interloper. You may be able to figure out who I am from the profile picture lol
Thanks man! I definitely know who you are!
so, I started my first ever Interloper run after watching this video. granted, I have almost 1000 hours in TLD, but those are all Stalker and Voyager. I'm around day 12 and finally have my bow and arrows. I guess I was still stuck in Stalker mentality when it came to hunting because I intentionally aggro'd back to back wolves and ended up in 2 struggles. my god the damage done to clothing on interloper! My health stayed above half, but I was absolutely not expecting multiple items of next-to-new clothing to be ruined and around half of my outer layers to be under 50% now. I had avoided all animal encounters successfully previous to this, so now I will surely follow your suggestion of the dropped torch+bow for wolf hunting. I keep reviewing this video to see what I forgot (like the torch+bow) and am sure I would have died several times over if not for it. thank you!
You're welcome and thanks for watching! Good luck with the run!
This seems like good info But more of an advanced guide for survival mode. I just completed the first section of Wintermute - Milton. I still don't even understand what the survival mode is all about.
I don't need any tips because I know TLD pretty well, and this video has everything you need to know before jumping in.
Very straight to the point video. no BS. Good stuff. Sub earned.
Should totally do a cooking guide for all the best food recipes! A couple tips, save your pinnacle 🍑 and 🍁 syrups for when you wanna make 🥞 and cook everything that doesn't include ingredients to recipes such as birch teas coffees etc.
omg I didn’t know you could light torches via torches, always make so many camp fires…
Great video!
Good stuff! Thanks for the video man, Very helpful 👍
this really simplifies all my complicated questions
LOVED THIS VIDEO :D
Great editing. I loved the "hacksaw required" at the Summit.
Fastest way of going for Torch + Stone method on Wolves is pressing "2" button. He will drop the torch normaly + equips weapon
Nice job
Remember, cooking 30 lbs of ground beef gets you more experience cooking than 300 10oz steaks. 😉
Only if you cook the beef over 300 sessions.
I can see i'm going to be watching a lot of these video's lol
Another top guide, CJ!! Keep up the excellent, informative work mate!!! 👍
Thank you!!
Really nice video! Thank you for posting it. 😄
Excellent video, learned a lot 👍
Thanks for the nice guide!
Nice tips , bro. Is not so symply, bad is very helpful. I wish you good luick.
5:00 rip :(
what are the differences between the improvised and the normal crampons?
great video:)
Amazing video!
Thanks for the tutorial dude. I like how you laid out the roadmap of things to do in loper to get a run going. I'm just about ready to forge and in 5 days I haven't come across any saplings. Do you know where I can find some in CH and DP? I know finding them via beach combing is possible but I haven't gotten lucky with that.
Thank you! A lot of them are tough to describe here but i believe there are online maps you can use that show all of the potential locations. I am not a fan of using them personally but thats always an option! The loot on those maps is outdated but plants and stuff remain unchanged.
@@BladesTLD Thanks for the response dude. I got lucky and bumped into both maple and birch right on the way to the stony church. They're curing now.
Good video. Well done.
Great video, have the crampons always increased climbing speed? I was under the impression that they only reduced stamina (run bar) use and weak ice time. I'll have to start actually using them because that makes it feel a lot more useful!
As far as I'm aware, they always have! They also reduce sprains on slopes by a considerable amount
Great video
Very useful tips, fast and simple for people to quickly get ready for endgame! Thanks Blades :)
Thankyou for the informative video! Any tips if you don’t have dlc?
No problem! 99% of this stuff can be done in the base game! The only thing that is different that is included in this video is the fact that Ptarmigans are not included in the base game so you won't be able to craft the upgraded bedroll or the insulation. But you can still use the regular bedroll or bearskin bedroll. The bearskins is much warmer but also much heavier. Personally I prefer to stick with the standard bedroll if Ptarmigans aren't available. As for the insulation, you could wear ear wraps instead. They're not quite as warm but they are still decent.
Great job. How do you avoid wildlife?
Hi @tasertir07 ! Mainly it comes down to 2 things - 1. Knowing where the potential spawn points are (from experience) and 2. Sticking to open spaces so that you dont end up getting surprised (you can always out-run a wolf or a bear as long as they are not within charging range)
For wolves you can use the torch trick as described in the video (Zaknafein just released a great video explaining this in detail - youtube search zaknafein the long dark)
Thanks a lot, have fun!@@BladesTLD
Once again a fabulous video! Thanks Blades!!
Agreed except for the part where you said not to use Burdock. Burdock tea is almost useless, but eating raw Burdock is great, it is basically a giant cat tail. I always get excited when I come across burdock.
Thats definitely an option! For me personally, I prefer to save it for late game recipes because its pretty limited and theres so much other food to choose from in the early game. But theres no wrong way to play - everybody has their playstyle!
@@BladesTLD Thanks for the video man, it is great. You are right, if you have the recipes DLC Im sure it is better to save it for later because like you said, it is a limited resource. If you are playing without the recipes, reishi tea and antibiotic pills pretty much cover the function of the burdock tea and thats why I prefer to eat it raw.
I've been playing this for a few days now and my biggest regret is not being able to find matches.
My longest run has only been 2 days due to bad luck
Once you find that first guaranteed match locations its such a good feeling because then you know to go immediately to that location next time you get that spawn. Good luck and keep it up!
02:28 bro which area is this place with forge ?
The Riken ship in Desolation Point
@@DNRchist thanks bro 🙋🏻♂️ love from Iran ❤🇮🇷
@@aligh999 you're welcome! Hope you're safe where you are.

Legendary
Great Video, I am sure anyone who plays TLD already knows that the game is trying to kill them, don't rely on being able to chain torches, keep a flare for wind situations, as well as
remaining aware that the weather can go against you, at the most inconvenient moments. Have an alternate plan in mind, you will need it more often than not.
Great tip! I definitely should have mentioned flares.
@@BladesTLDI suppose you could have gotten into Blackrock, and Bleak Inlet with Timberwolves too, definitely an Interloper menace, and a tactically different scenario.
Fajne porady. Dzięki. Nie pisze po angielsku ale dużo rozumiem. Dodał TM że patyk wyrzucony na podłogę wskazuje zawsze ta samą stronę świata. To przydatna informacja ułatwiająca poruszanie się po mapie.
Is it the difficulty setting or an update that makes it so you can't harvest saplings with a hatchet? Last time I played I could use a hatchet, but that was only Voyager difficulty.
You can harvest them with a hatchet but it's not worth it because then you would have to grab them AFTER forging. There are no hatchet spawns in interloper settings so you're forced to spawn one if you want one.
@@BladesTLD Oh. Okay, thanks.
Kill Rabbit with stone not arrow 😀
Nice vidèo
Thank you!
Stone or arrow, both are fine :)
