Misha Yang I got Zenobia on Nia and I'm currently filling the affinity chart of a 4 crown blade in order to get an overdrive protocol so I can transfer Zenobia to Zeke.
Nice vid! Just didn't like the uncategorized perceval thing for tanks. Been using him on Morag alongside with Aegaeon and Brighid and he's beast. Didn't beat up the game though; still farming some gold chips and raising up the affinity with most of the blades, so I don't know if I'll have problems with tanking
I guess I haven't been all that optimised just focused on elemental spheres and burst combos. Just finished the story this last weekend.
I have been using;
Rex: pyra, story blade, nymm
Tora: tank, tank, tank
Zeke: pandoria, praxis, wind generic (gauntlets)
And then when I use them
Morag: brighid, Kora, aegeon
Nia: dromarch, Vess, adenine
Rex: 1 pyra/mythra
2 wulfric
3 gorg
I have wulfric and gorg both with a chip that boosts rex's hp by 500 so with those two i gave 1000 extra health

Morag: 1 brighid
2 kassandra
3 godfrey
The best blade, hands down, is the wind-fist blade you get on Rex in Gormott. That blade definitely can do auto-attacks, has driver arts, and can presumably do other things as well.

My brothers were horrified.
Well. When playing morag its best to continuosly use brghid, as her damage boost from dodging attacks gets reset after a blade switch
Brighid uses KOSMOS as her blade, Brighid is a Flesh Eater confirmed

I had a healer on Morag and a Tank on Nia. Gonna fix that thanks to this.

Adenine was my first rare blade, so she has a special place in my heart. That being said, she kicks ass on my dps rex, and throws potions damn near constantly.

I noticed that too, I was like, why? I cancel every time and I literally beat the game 3 days ago. Although getting good in rocs special wasn't terrible
Agate gives amazing utility when combined with the special healing blade and mythra. Being able to start all elemental combos and also topple and launch is extemely practical, plus she has good attack stats and the ability to loop her arts infinitely.

Am i the only one that feels Percival was made more for an attacker than a tank? Even if he's a chrome katana user, his skills practicly scream damage.

When my preferred tank gets a Unique Heal blade? When my preferred Heals gets a unique Attack blade? ugggghhhhhhhh.

I hate that too. At the beginning I didn't realize the blade overdrive items were rare and finite. So I basically wasted a bunch of them. Now I have two rare healer blades on Morag and I can't get them off her. Such a stupid system.

Man, this is making me wanna play this game again.
Good to see Electra's one of the best Tank blades, because I'm doing her Affinity sidequest right now and it's a major PITA.
Everyone hates Electra cause her battle skills are weak as heck.. but Kassandra is the best shield hammer without dlc, Electra will just do like 300 damage when getting hit and very very slightly draw aggro while out, but when you look at the numbers they do really suck sadly.
Kassandra having a heal on crits and increase aggro from her attacks not just passive, scale much better for keeping aggro and staying alive. Electra sure is tanky though, just almost impossible to keep aggro with her to even use it unlike poppi Alpha
I had such a good draw. Zenobia was my first rare blade, and KOS-MOS was my second.
i never really focused on "you are a good blade" "you are a bad one". my goal has more been to max every blade's tree, and only after completing that would i really start considering moving blades and getting the best setup. With that said, though, i did start to notice some blades being far more useful than others. zenobia requires fighting powerful enemies, but that just shows you in every harder fight just how useful she is as a boss(and uniquie, which i usually end up calling bosses, anyway) dps character. Herald quickly stands out for her healing powers that rival end game items with the same effects, and due to the unique nature to obtain her, you will likely have an unnoticeable bias towards using her as your ether cannon (unlike sheeba who has the opposite effect as her entire "thing" is treating certain characters badly and wanting you to go bankrupt to make her happy and complete). Finch stood out for his mythra-like cooldown powers, but you cant help but feel she has a weaker version. It becomes too easy to repeat mythra's tier 3 special by end game, which is probably due in part to how few blades can help her pull off the 3 same element blade combo, and the others that can are the rarest blades in the game.
On a different note, after learning about the secret powers of 2 of the party members, i stopped focusing on giving them blades, and overdrived most of them onto the other 2 (that can take them). Both of the secret powers are story spoilers, though, even if both are hinted at before unlocking it.
You arnt the only one who hates Roc. I also hate urusla, but that is mainly because of how annoying and time consuming she is to max out. it doesnt help that i forgot to finish her before starting new game+...

how did you start the mission to max out Ursula in new game+? I just got to the Torigoth fountain where the dialogue with her to start the mission should be triggered, but it doesn't activate. I don't know what to do.
@@Rubior426 it has been so long i could not tell you the exact requirements, but NG+ adds the wrench of story flags since most things can be unlocked sooner than expected. My best guess is that you rushed to the fountain on an early game visit, either too early in the chapters or before the story gives certain characters normally, preventing the trigger. Some blades also have prerequisites on their tree that must be recompleted, even if the node itself carried over. The final issue i can think of is that you had some story blades absent at the time, since NG+ lets you freely customize blade parties. Nearly every quest in the game requires rex's aegis to be active, and most extend that rule to the other party members you have to have before the quest is available. It isnt just "have tora in the party", it is "have tora and poppi in the party" as the least spoiler-y example.
Ursula also requires the merc group, which means regardless of other flags, you must have started chapter 4 far enough to have normally unlocked the feature.
I actually restarted my file like a madman since I knew I wasn't going to come back and finish it since I left off partway.
I never did any of the superbosses, but towards the end of the save file I was playing as Tora using QTπ. I had a critical heal build stacking damage and crit boost, and all of Poppi's specials had bonus damage for enemies targeting Tora. Though when I was still playing, her last skill slot was bugged, it seems that has now been fixed.
She was my angel of death.
Personally, I think Rex's "story blade" is the best blade. Once you max out the affinity chart, give Rex a Galaxy Cube and he does most of his healing through auto attacks. If someone takes a hit, she has a strong heal. If a strong attack is incoming (like Falak Fall), use her stage 4 blade art. Blocks the attack, fully heals, regens, and puts a DoT on the enemy. It's also worth noting that if you build affinity to max with both Mythra and "story blade", you get to use the only double blade art in the game.
When things are okay, switch to Mythra. As long as one of her two hits of double spinning slash crits, or rolling slash crits, you can reuse them again with no wait, meaning you can just spam them until someone takes damage.
But you loose the valuable healer on your team doe

Nah, Nia does better with Ursula and Boreas. You literally can not die with her in team.
Rex's *story blade* has one of the best healing arts in the game that isn't dependent on having a lvl 2 special in the bank, Redemption has the one of the highest healing ratios in the game which gets even better if you use the Tachyon chip which is the best auto attack chip which buffs her auto attack heals but also makes healing arts do 20% more healing. if you get a legendary overclocked bangle and use the aux core Fast blade switch V you can switch back for fast burst healing so you don't even have to wait for the heal art cooldown. Nia as a blade is infinity more valuable on the team then Nia as a driver. (and you control when healing is done so no AI bs)
I was hoping for Electra because ADORABLE and got her from a common core w/ only one booster in like... chapter 2 (bless - my second rare blade pull lmfao) but was told she was garbage. She's definitely slow and isn't uhh... necessarily super fun to use, but I'm glad she's decent, ahaha. My first rare pull on Nia was Ursula too! I've gotten MASSIVELY lucky with blades so far.
This is funny, seeing as now we know she is the single worst blade in the game.

I know this came out before DLC, but goddamn, Corvin is insane as a tank. I'm no expert, but I feel like he's one of the best tanks, besides Poppi

The DLCs are all pretty busted.
My blades are: Pyra/Mythra, Dagas and Roc for Rex; Dromarch, Vess and Ursula for Nia; Pandoria, Herald and Praxis for Zeke; Brighid, Perceval and Aegeon for Morag. Idk if this is a good setup, but I never had any big problem through the story with it.
My current party set-up is:
Rex: Pyra/Mythra, Perun, & Roc
Nia: Dromarch, Floren, & Ursula
Morag: Brighid, Perceval, & Newt
Zeke....has yet to get any Rare Blades for me, but I'm working on trying to rectify that. He currently just has 2 common blades at 3-crown quality and is currently a Jack-Of-All-Trades simply because I haven't been able to get him any good attacking Blades yet.
I would consider Dagas one of the most powerful attack blades in the game since so far he has the highest attack stat of all my blades and does double the damage one of my other attack blades do, strong smash I consider I big help, specially if you are using Rex’s anchor shot to topple and enemy and it does real damage, bull tackle is nice for the recharge and this might be just me but I love his idle animation since he just sits on his throne like he doesn’t care
Also Kaiser Zone is one of if not the best skills in the entire game.
May be a little late to the party buuuuuut....
I used Tora, Rex, and Nia for my main team. Rex with Zenobia, T-elos, and Mythra. Tora with of course all the Poppi’s (including the final form) And with Nia with Boreas, Ursula, and Dromarch
My team when I finished the game was:
Rex: Praxis, Pandoria, Mythra
Nia: Adenine, Kos-Mos, Floren
Morag: Kasandra, Theory, Bridgid
Godfrey sucks tho. Worthless field skills only required for his merc missions and two passives that cancel each other out: One passive reduces damage when your 30% HP or lower. The other passive gives you passive heal when your HP is 30% or lower which negates his damage reduction. He doesn't even get Ice Mastery which is dumb.
Any other tank does tanking better than Godfrey.
Weareonenation303 ;-; but he has probably the best design of all the blades imo plus he and Zeke have such similar personalities. That's why I use him on my team. Also his weapon looks amazing so he has tachyon chip
I will attest to that. I'm stuck with Godfrey in my Rex setup because that guy can't seem to stop getting killed without his HP boost and he is SHIT. Sure his design is cool but that's all he has, a cool design. His field skills are only for merc missions and the hammer weapon class is just not that good anyway imo. Any other tank would be better

Rex with blade Nia is in my opinion the best healer (I control him), I use him,Tora tank and Morag tank (it doesn't really matter wich blade you use, you just have to resist massive AOE hits). I don't think attackers are needed since enemies hit points are too high, and you don't get anything for killing them faster.
Jose Toro I agree, especially when Ursula is hard to get (I got her after beating the game) and even harder to unlock all her affinity chart.

Tora: Poppi(water) - PoppiQT(electric) - PoppiQTPi(ice)
Morag: Perceval - Brigid - KOS-MOS
It's relatively easy to get up to Launch for driver combos, and you can get a lot of blade combos for this.
I'm thinking of maybe replacing Kora with Herald for the postgame, since Mythra/story blade are competent enough at healing and KOS-MOS' special can also get you out of some tight spots :]
I recently started playing and I managed to get ursula, boreas, and perun from common cores which was surprising. I like using ursula on rex alot since it is easy to time attacks and honestly I lOVE how useful she is.
Wow, early on in my game (just entered the Urayan Titan) I managed to get both Ursula and Electra and seeing as how they are ranked pretty high in their respective tiers, im pretty happy.

@@thyreachek1576 at that point in the game, i used Nia instead of rex. Used rare cores, and about 3 boosters of their respective element. Beyond that, im just as knowledgable about this stuff as you are.

It can kill a super boss from near full health with 2 orbs
(Keep in mind this build has little survivability, they are all pure dps.)
I use crit mythra and kos Mos for the light orb.
And Poppi Qt and QT PI using an over locking bangle to make the bark orb themselves.
The orb making takes around a minute with the chain attack killing after the break of the second orb

I've been a subscriber for years. I want to say 2016/2017. Love all of your content. But as I'm FINALLY getting around to playing this, your video here was more than appreciated. I understood it even with my base level knowledge of the game. Your way of including a spoiler blade but not spoiling it was awesome. Thanks for this video. I got lucky I think because I have Zenobia and I just "met Lilia" in the story. I'm assuming she's a hard to get blade. So far my favorite blade is Wulfric but I feel like Kosmos will take that spot, of I ever get her.

I think a Rex healer build can be one of the best in the game because once you get ascended pyra/mythra you can just pop of an extreme burst of damage and a full self heal then you can switch back to blade Nia or Ursula

Herald, Zenobia, and Poppibuster on Zeke
Rex: Mythra, Dagas, Herald/ Roc
Nia: Dromarch, Boreas/ Vess, Nim

Also, there is quite a number of people that refer to that spoiler blade as Catalyst, as the name of the blade weapon is the catalyst scimitar

For real though since this is a single player game I wanna say you can most likely do well with all of them? I have maxed a few already and they all do just fine. However, I don't have all rare blades yet so I don't know if maybe there are some really bad ones.

@@lued123 Those are literally my first 2 rare blades
one of the blades that i used the most was Gorg with Zeke, Gorg has some pretty nifty ways to tank and he already is good with Zeke to do damage, i also gave him some cores to recover hp and they pretty much never died
I just focus on Blades with different elements, try to max out the affinity trees, and try not to die. Its especially hard trying to take on Dino Drama and Elma
I jump around a lot, since pretty much any team can be good if you distribute you items and aux cores correctly, and its fun to put myself outside my comfort zone and try new combinations, but my go to team for hard boss fights is:
Rex (Damager/Tank) = Pyra/Mythra, Praxis, Roc (pure damager), or Theory (I find it useful to have Rex as a backup tank for hard hitting bosses, and as you mentioned in the video Theory is fairly attack oriented for a tank).
Nia (Healer) = Dromarch, Vess, Ursula, (currently working on getting an Overdrive Protocol to transfer Boreas over from Rex to Nia)
Morag (Tank) = Brigid, Kassandra, Aegeon, (optional Herald if I want to give Morag some extra firepower).
Rex: Pyra/Mythra, Kanehira**, Roc
Nia: Dromarch, Adenine, Dahlia
Morag: Brighid, Aegaeon, Perceval
Zeke: Pandoria, Zenobia, Harold*
*Would switch out for KOS-MOS, but that's the only Blade I'm missing.
**3 star slim male blade. Wields axe, ice element.
With a 21% increase to Strength, Blade Arts of Crit Up and Arts Plus, passives being Challenger, Pierce, and Machine Slayer... he's a very fine substitute for Zenobia!
Currently I've been trying out and liking a non Rex team cause I feel too broken with mythra lol.

Morag: Brighid, Kassandra, Theory

Little late to the party but here's my set up (keep in mind this is in NG+, I don't have every rare blade and I'm missing two of the Torna blades)
Morag: Brighid, Theory/Aegaeon (can't decide who I like more) and Kassandra (potentially switching with Aegaeon since I like him and Theory so much)
Nia: Nim, Akhos and Obrona
Rex: Mythra/Pyra, T-elos and Roc
Tora: Poppi a, PoppiQT and QTpi
Zeke: KOS-MOS, Pandy and Agate
I use rex as a healer because nia never heals

@@outseteddy6306 Exactly my Nia went amazingly during the Final Battle, healing whenever Tora got to about half HP, using Jaguar Slash often.
Fix your Nia. Mine heals fine.
@@ivythay4259 I honestly think it has to do with the AI being less than terrific. My Nia would hear really well sometimes and utter trash other times. Tossing out heals when the party was at full hp and none (even though they were ready) when everyone needed heals. Or sometimes waiting until someone was incapacitated to heal thus wasting it. I finally got sick of the inconsistency and just did it myself even though I don't like playing healers. There was no other way to make sure it was done right

Tora - Poppi ( earth. Will get replaced by electric in the future ) Poppi QT ( wind since I don't need another fire because I can switch between mythra and pyra any time ) and Poppi QT PIE ( ice, will be dark in the future )
Hm, legitimately surprised to not see Perun up on the DPS list.
My team setup is currently this (although Rex especially is subject to change):
Rex: Mythra, Herald, Praxis
Nia: Dromarch, Ursula, Nim
Tora: All three Poppis set to tank, though not fully outfitted yet because I hate Tiger-Tiger
Morag: Brigid, Aegeon, Adenine
Zeke: Pandy, Newt, Godfrey
It's noted that I have a mismatched amount of stuff on Zeke and Morag because I never actually use them...
Edit: The only blades I have yet to obtain are KOS-MOS, Finch, Theory, Vale, and Kora
(Keep in mind that I'm halfway through chapter 6 with 51 hours of game time)

Rex - Pyra/Mythra, KOSMOS, Herald
Nia - Dromach, Vess, Percival
Morag - Brigid, Aegeon, Wulfric

So....basically you turned Rex into the walking definition of "More Dakka"? :P
Wait why would you give nia a tank blade? She has probably the worst bad defense stats and tank blades have arts which draw aggro.
Yeah, honestly, Perceval would have been better used on Morag or Zeke. Kasandra should have gone to Morag though without question. Morag is the only Driver who has a focus on being a Tank (since Brighid and Aegeon are both Tanks) who can actually use Core Crystals to get more Blades (since Tora can only use the 3 versions of Poppi). Nia should only be given Attacker and Healer Blades, but she's best utilized using only Healer Blades (for instance, until I got Vess, my Nia was using Dromarch, Floren, and Ursula). You would probably get the most benefit out of KOS-MOS and Herald if you have them out at the same time though (via having them on different Drivers). Each Driver has their own 'specialty' where they excel in that role (Rex is the exception, he's effective in any of the three Roles, but I use him as a Pure Attacker or a Combat Medic, I only use him as a Tank if I need Electra for whatever reason). Nia is best used as a Healer, Morag is best used as a Dodge-Tank, and Zeke is best used as an Attacker.
My current set-up for my Drivers is:
Rex: Pyra/Mythra, Vale, Roc
Nia: Dromarch, Vess, Ursula
Morag: Brighid, Kasandra, Aegeon
Zeke: Pandoria, Sheba, Praxis
Once I get Herald (I haven't reached Tantal just yet), she's going to Zeke, and once I get Theory she's going to Morag. I intend to get KOS-MOS on either Rex or Nia if I manage to get her.
gamester512 dude... I pulled perceval on nia (I had no overdrive protocols) I had pulled kosmos on rex and I put herald on rex because I wanted to spam the grenade launcher art (because I want to have FUN with the game and not just optimise EVERYTHING). I put Kasandra on Zeke because that would make 3 rare blades on him (electra, Brigid and Aegeon were enough on morag).
Anyway I have since completed the game and I'm waiting on new game plus.
I beat the game with:
Nia (I played as nia) - Vess, Dromarch, Ursula.
Rex - Pyra (I prefer her to mythra), Zenobia, Theory.
Tora - Poppi A, PoppiQT, PoppiQT pi.
Frankly I want to play the game how I want to and don't want to be stuck with the confides of "this blade has to be used on this character" and so on...
I'm the kind of person who plays RPGs and only uses their favourite characters/weapons. All the blades I beat the game with are ones which I like to use.
Zaxton Hong I pulled perceval on nia. I think you forgot the fact that blades are random (and I don't want to farm overdrive protocols)

When i first saw PoppiA's awakening cut seen i imagined Pyra saying "Rex hand me the sword!" Rex" Why?" Pyra" Tora is going to die right here and right now for that disgrace of a blade
So from a DPS standpoint my strategy seems to be: Use Herald until you pull aggro, die and wipe threat, build party gauge to get the revive, rinse and repeat :P. Seriously, there isn't a single tank in the game that can keep Herald from pulling aggro.
Best Healer is Kos-Mos. Just spam that level 2 special and you can even keep your Herald user alive...most of the time. The massive aoe damage from the level 2 special doesn't hurt either. Most of the time you'll end up healing the whole party for about 15k per use.
I don't have a best tank because nothing keeps aggro from Herald, so tanking is pretty much pointless. That said, Aegeon is pretty much invincible while moving, so he makes a great blade to revive your Herald user when they die.
The build I use centers around special regen for Kos-Mos, Damage output for Herald, Evasion focus for Aegeon, and party gauge buildup for everyone else. It's lulzy :P
Nim is actually a really good healer too

Mythra seriously is the best blade though, with the crit heal build you can do massive sustained damage and heals, as well as spam blade arts to get those combos started

why do you hate roc?
Tora is my main... He can break, topple, launch and smash alone as long as someone is breaking or launching. Not only he is having the best luck, but Poppi boosted is literally the strongest of the game. She is unbeatable. I boosted Poppi Omega to give health after a critical, boost critical, Front Damage, and poppi standard is a wall. I use a Black core on Omega.
Wow didn't know there were that many rare blades to get in the game! I only have about half of the ones shown in this video. My setup is

I built the team completely based on having all the elements covered.
Got Ursula early in the game from a common, and I mean very early. So early I didn’t even realize that rare blades were any different from those regular random blades. Considered her garbage until, well, I actually learned wtf I was doing

Pikapower I use Godfrey on Zeke in Endgame as an off tank and it works out really well! When Zeke is below 30% HP, not only does he get buffs from Godfrey, but he also has a near 100% block rate with the aux cores I put on him
Jared Khan I mostly had him for topple in the end. But it was due to me using him offensively. Morag and Tora just did it better.
So what's the community's view on Pyra Vs Mythra?
As you can tell from my Picture i am a fan of Pyra. As a character, she really grew on me but when i finally unlocked Mythra i did find that it felt like Mythra did more damage.
I am assumeing that is the case but i want to know how big the difference between them is.
AegisInferno It's not even a contest. Mythra really is putting the force into foresight. The insane power comes from her instant refresh: Whenever you crit with an art, it's immediately ready to use again. And Mythra's crit chance is really high. Add a core chip with high crit chance to her blade and arts failing to get refreshed instantly is the exception rather than the rule.
Forget autoattacks! It's all art art art special art art art art special and so on. So easy to bury the enemy in elemental orbs, especially since you can switch to pyra and the other blades to make use of your special meter and go back to Mythra to load it up again in seconds (don't forget the Overclocking Bangle for faster blade switch). And then you activate her ultimate form, hit a last time, and start a chain attack. There, you will easily achieve a full burst with a finishing move hitting with a damage mod of 5000% at the very least!
Combine with Roc as well as an axe wielder like Zenobia and you also can topple-launch-smash once every 20 seconds or faster (be sure to get the other party members break arts and equip Beta Scopes to reduce their break res).
Pyra has an insane higher attack than Mythra, and due to her passives she is way better at doing specials. Use Mythra to charge them up and use Pyra to deliver insane damage
Basically what I did. The one area where Pyra exceeds Mythra is in Blade Combo damage. So if I want a Fire combo then I switch to Pyra to bring the hurt but 80-90% of the time I will be using Mythra because of Foresight and the critical recharge.

during the parts where Mythra is not in the party tho, I went with Gorg and Godfrey with Boreas, and if you boost their swap times, Gorg and Godfrey can chain attacks as a team and deal a surprisingly high amount of damage. the only real advantage Mythra has on them is speed (and doing the job of two other blades on her own).
I'm curious: why are topple/launch/smash considered so good or even necessary for endgame content when almost all endgame enemies are immune to break?
@luck' two faces Resist, immune, same thing. You're still never going to topple Kurodil, Ophion, Ken, etc. unless you run a build that sacrifices way too many useful accessories. And no, it's not even close to the best damage. Both blade combos and chain attacks do far more damage.
As for farming, after playing a lot more since I made that comment I see how it's useful there. Kill as quickly as possible while using the combo to get a little extra loot if you're lucky does seem somewhat useful.

Basically i keep these to chain elemental combos. With Pyra's true form, i can stack up to 5 orbs in virtually no time.

Zeke: Pandoria. I'm planning of overdriving Vale to him, but i don't have any overdrive available so.... Pandoria. And i don't use him yet.
Nia (When i use her, Rex get to use Praxis): Dromarch | Ursula | Nim.

I have a lot of different build for rex, however for the rest:
Morag: Bridgid/Aegeon/(Finch/Electra, good utility and combos) or Perceval
Zeke: Zenobia(you didn't mention that zenobia has Topple on Zeke!)/Theory(High critical/and actual offensive "tank")/Lance user(Vale/Praxis) or hammer user(driver combo)
Some notes: I really don't like how the AI use etheir canon, especially kosmos they just love to never switch, so you should be playing those yourself.
Personally I think using Nia on Rex is the best option.
Set up your DPS for crit heal. So what if you're down a party member. If you set it up right, you won't need a dedicated healer. Then bring in Zeke for two heavy hitters

Just as adenine is a healer only in name, thats why i hate when people say healer over supporr, eith support sure its vague, but it classifies so much more
In my default setup, unless I am specializing for a specific need, I use Rex Tora and Zeke as my party members with Rex using mythra/pyra, blade!Nia, and Floren. Light, wind, and ice poppis(though I have one of each element mod for mix matching, then I use electra on zeke, along with vale. The last spot on zeke is very much a wildcard as I can't make up my mind

Interesting that you said Kora isn’t that useful. She was my first rare and she’s been a mainstay, mainly so I don’t have to run around like crazy saving potions. That potion hoarding ability is REALLY useful.

It's worth noting that Tiger Tiger is no longer needed at all for Poppi, just skip doing anything with Poppi, dont bother with the 5 tech manuals and DLC quest. Wait to New Game Plus where the tech manuals and quests will reset. Progress again and finish the story which should be quick. Then pick up the 5 tech manuals. In NG+ there are bards which will cash in EXP for stuff, many of which are stuff for Poppi from ether crystals to master parts, Poppi Alphas affinity chart can even be compelted entirely on merc missions (There is truly no need for Tiger Tiger anymore).
Literally all I did was take the driver I rarely use and moved him from level 99 to level 30, and from there I got all the ether crystals and poppi parts I needed. Fight several super bosses, and he quickly goes back up to 99 and in exchange you can make all the poppi's perfectly optimized and broken in less than an hour or 2 with no grinding and no tiger tiger.

I consistently do max damage chain attack on super bosses with a full burst. Although there are more optimal builds that can kill super bosses without a full burst.
I got really lucky pulling Kos-Mos and Electra very early on.

Side notes. Even though zeke was probably one of the characters I was most looking forward to, I never used him much as even though I opened around 40% of my core crystals on him, I only ever got four blades on him until I was nearing the post game.
Secondly. Yes I made Mórag a jack-of-all-trades driver and I’ve had her that way since probably right around when I got her as a playable character. It makes it quite fun to play as her and it’s actually quite useful.
My main team for most of the game comprised of Rex, Nia, and Tora/Mórag (most of the time it was Mórag.).
Rex's Story blade is probs by far one of the best healers especially at Max affinity you just know your party won't die
