Just bought it a few days ago. :) People are certainly still playing (and some of them (like me) are even looking forward to playing Xenoblade 1 - DE or otherwise. :)).
Summer / Planetarial agreed. I just started and I’ll never do super bosses or postgame but still enjoyed the video so I could learn the strengths I really enjoy kora :(
I’ll be honest here, Nia is one of my favourite blades, what with her consistently healing Rex for auto attacking and Redemption being one of the best healing arts IMO, it’s really hard to die with Nia in the party. Of course, I understand why she is only in C-tier, since she can’t contribute to Driver Combos and her specials aren’t overly damaging, her auto-attack damage is pretty high for a healer, and with the right Aux cores, Core Chips, etc. Nia could be the perfect blade to pull out when you party starts dropping down.
Well, healing off crits needs big damage, which leaves no space for support-based skills, so healers aren’t entirely useless. Aux cores like Affinity Max Barrier go well with them, and other different ones like Ultimate Shield work well too. Late game healers like Nia serve a niche Party-wide support/ Defensive use. Building them to make the user nearly unkillable, and support the party with heals that the Xenoblade AI is too stupid to give themselves. Healers mostly boil down to niche uses in the late game, but they’re still fun AF to use.
@@themonkeyman2910 bro u straight up heal ur whole healthbar with 1 art nia is completely and utterly useless, not to mention you get heals in more ways than just crit heals
@@escapetherace1943 and then Rex fails to get a crit for some reason (wether it be Mythra didn’t feel like it, or you miss your attack), in which case, he’s screwed without Nia or someone else with a healer blade. Has happened to me more than once.
@@escapetherace1943 also, this disrespect against Fiora, a healer blade, is heresy. Sure, she works a lot differently than other healer blades, but because Fiora has a healing art and heals you from her specials in addition to potions, she’s still a healer blade nonetheless.
Corvin really is a savior for me. Helped me in a solo Morag attempt against the second Elma fight. She's the perfect dodge tank, and his second special was the perfect AoE to hit all of the phantom Elmas at once.
@@paperandpavement same here bro i just started playing last week im at 72 hours. Beyond impressed with this game from the difficulty to the complexity of the combat system i have to say its now in my top 5 of all time.
I got this game exactly one year ago, played it for four months straight, and am now just playing it again. This sort of stuff really helps because I have not done any challenge mode yet, so thanks for your efforts.
Stellar content as always man, I’m really proud to see all the progress that’s been made for this game ever since the early days. Can’t wait to see your Xenoblade DE content when that drops and to see you destroy the game lol
Having Godfrey and boreas on Rex was one of my main combinations for early game because I didn’t have three healer rare blades on nia (something about my ocd made me refuse to use common blades). This served me pretty well but after a while I stoped using Godfrey but boreas is still my favorite healer blade.
Are you going to ignore the fact that some common blades are better than some of these rare blades? Also amazing videos. Very useful for many different scenarios. You are most certainly the best guide on this game.
Love how Kos-Mos is still an incredible blade to the point that she makes other blades look worse than they are by comparison, Monolith could have just put her in the game as a memento, instead they took the care and effort to make her unique and useful. I wish Xenosaga would have got a remastered or something, I think it deserves it and I really want to play it.
I would definitely place Corvin before Kos Mos. Its not like Kos mos is bad, but Corvin is much more useful than her like all his recharge on evasion which combine with Noise Dampener can make short work of most enemies . In fact in BoC (story) you do not want to disengage him at all. Good thing is you can get him as soon as in chapter 2. He is easy-to-use character for most new players. My opinion may seem biased because I played the game only recently and he's one of the earliest blade I got and played with.
KOS-MOS has quite a bit more usage than him and all of it is because of how good she is specifically, it's hard to justify corvin above her with that in mind. She's very very good.
If you're saying, she's definitely more useful. Its just that I first played the game last month, I had Corvin in my team (definitely strongest in my team back then) and progressed through the story along with him. I got Kos mos around tantal area but didn't find her as useful as her chart was not fully available and slow recharges (didn't have much WP) . So What I tried to say was Corvin gives a really good ""First time experience"" of game for new players and I think that's why I prefer him😅 lol Also if you do BoC speedrun of game in future, he's definitely best choise
Funny to see how some of my favorite Blades, such as Kasandra and Ursula, are low-tier Blades. That won't keep me from using them, though. Also, not necessarily related to the video's topic, but I am planning to replay XC2 in the near future, and I would love ANY tips for Spirit Crucible Elpys. It's the only time in the game (maybe even Xenoblade as a whole) where I've really struggled a lot. It just puts so many restrictions on the battle system (no Blade combos, no Max Affinity, no Pyra/Mythra on Rex...) that enemies become a huge pain to deal with (particularly those Aspids in the final section), not to mention the area is just way too long and kind of difficult to navigate. So far, it's easily my worst experience with the Xenoblade series (even worse than a certain boss in XC1), and I would appreciate any help to make it less of a slog.
I know that it's kinda pointless saying this, but I completely agree with all the changes you made (Kaiser Zone is broken lol). Also I like your new thumbnails, hopefully you'll start to get more attention on RUclips - who knows, maybe when Xenoblade DE releases you might. I usually just troll in your twitch chat and write small comments on yt but I decided to comment this because I've really enjoyed watching you recently, good luck in the future and I'll continue to watch your videos
imagine not being subscribed lol... thumbnail and mic game on point now, Enel! i will admit, there was a certain charm to those MSPaint pen writing thumbnails though. great content as always, keep it up
You're right about the bad blades being usable. Part of the fun in games for me is doing new game + and using awful characters makes it challenging and fun. Like using Sharla in the original.

@@themonkeyman2910 bro u straight up heal ur whole healthbar with 1 art
nia is completely and utterly useless, not to mention you get heals in more ways than just crit heals
I found it kinda hilarious how when you were using Pulverizing Dunk with Crossette, you were just hoppity hopping over and over again. XD
What did it cost?
2 years and a pandemic.
Actual thumbnails really be neat
Seeing finch in E teir is the equivalent of kicking a baby bird
I’d love a series where you suggest theoretical ideas to improving the Blades at the bottom, while keeping the things that make each one distinct.
I have plans for something like this that will be very fun to do.
@@EnelXC :)
Woah holy shit, I didnt expected some dude making still videos about xenoblade 2. Im so happy that I found you 🙏🏻
I’m tempted to do a dromarch only run to make you move him up on the tier list
Thanks for the work u put into these Enel ❤
Corvin really is a savior for me. Helped me in a solo Morag attempt against the second Elma fight. She's the perfect dodge tank, and his second special was the perfect AoE to hit all of the phantom Elmas at once.

Enel: *talking and does ULFSM*
Mikhail: *insert Mario 64 screaming sound effect*
Thank you for all of the info you've provided these past few years.
Thanks for these updated builds! Just what I was looking for.
Thanks for everything !!! this is gold content
I just watched the tier list videos yesterday, this is perfect
I always that Corvin was S rank tier. The guy is just broken with Morag he can tank and heal the party dealing dps at the same time.
Luxin’s going to be happy that Finch got moved up!
This tier list is super helpful since I'm still doing ng+ and I'm still trying to get into end game bosses
I can’t stop playing this game, it’s been two years now please help
I barely started playing it about 2 weeks ago and have +150 hours on my save file. It's an amazing game I feel ya!
This is becoming addictive
@@paperandpavement same here bro i just started playing last week im at 72 hours. Beyond impressed with this game from the difficulty to the complexity of the combat system i have to say its now in my top 5 of all time.
It's been one year for me did you stop playing
@@gachalibra9243 Not at all... I'm currently grinding for OP common blades :)
I got this game exactly one year ago, played it for four months straight, and am now just playing it again. This sort of stuff really helps because I have not done any challenge mode yet, so thanks for your efforts.
You must be psychic or something because I literally just finished rewatching your original tier list!
Can we at least agree that Pneuma would be goated if she lasted just a little longer?
I wish she retained Mythra's Lightspeed Flurry
Yeah she can't do much in the 2 frames she's active
Stellar content as always man, I’m really proud to see all the progress that’s been made for this game ever since the early days. Can’t wait to see your Xenoblade DE content when that drops and to see you destroy the game lol
Can’t wait for the definitive edition speed run! I’m really enjoying your content, keep up the good work!
Having Godfrey and boreas on Rex was one of my main combinations for early game because I didn’t have three healer rare blades on nia (something about my ocd made me refuse to use common blades). This served me pretty well but after a while I stoped using Godfrey but boreas is still my favorite healer blade.
Your video quality has improved a lot.
The timing is funny because Fatalordi (in french) did a list based on the use in world record (and he said that you have most of them) few weeks ago.
I wasn't even aware of this, I'll look it up now.
God the combat in this game is so fun. I hope the next Xenoblade game is built off of 2 combats just enhanced.
Bro thanks a lot. This really helped me.
wowwwww, i just watched the old tier list earlier today!! btw, subscribed after first view ;)
I actually started replaying this and this is perfect
late to party but i got kosmos & dagas. your guides helped alot lol
👏👏👏👌👌👍👍 good job on nailing the intro! It was quick and nice! Woo! Good intro yyyy! 👍👍👍👍 🌟⭐️💫⭐️🌚🌞 oh yeah and thanks for the tier list
man it's not my fault
Now THIS is exactly what I needed :)
Great video Enel. When it comes to the combat system, I think your channel is definitely the best.
Knew Pandoria was coming down, but it still hurt lmao
been really liking the change in style lately
I always felt that kaiser zone is absolutely broken, Now I know Zero 2.0 (Intro Vibes) Keep up the awesome content Enel
Are you going to ignore the fact that some common blades are better than some of these rare blades?
Also amazing videos. Very useful for many different scenarios. You are most certainly the best guide on this game.
Not ignoring, but there isn't really a point to ranking common blades when they're all completely random. rare blades never change.
This was meant as a joke as some people don't realize the potential of some common blades. Much respect to you. And again love your videos.
I never clicked on a video so fast, literally just came here from playing Xenoblade 2
ok i think after watching hours of pro xenoblade play i should be able to finally beat elma.
The fact the shulk and the Monado are weaker than fiora and her knives makes me want to laugh
So What I tried to say was Corvin gives a really good ""First time experience"" of game for new players and I think that's why I prefer him😅 lol
Also if you do BoC speedrun of game in future, he's definitely best choise
Driver combos.
Hey man you're awesome, thanks for the fantastic content!!
Played through the story in the game and that’s about it. I’m entertained, yet overwhelmed and confused 😅
It’s nice to see people finally appreciating Dagas 😭
imagine not being subscribed lol...
thumbnail and mic game on point now, Enel! i will admit, there was a certain charm to those MSPaint pen writing thumbnails though. great content as always, keep it up
I personally liked the mspaint thumbnails but i can't deny how sucessful the new ones have been. it's likely better to continue as i have been.
Good vid as always; keep up the good work.
Love your videos and the knowledge you have of this game.
Realized I wasn't subscribed to you. Fixed, and thank you for your knowledge!
You're right about the bad blades being usable. Part of the fun in games for me is doing new game + and using awful characters makes it challenging and fun. Like using Sharla in the original.
i decided to buy this game last night thanks for providing info for it since alot of people are hating on it for a while so good to know its actually a good game
Just for fun, I wanted to list out the tiers as if it was competitive Pokémon.
E-Tier: PU
D-Tier: NU
C-Tier: RU
B-Tier: UU
A-Tier: OU
S-Tier: Ubers
S+ Tier: Anything Goes
I wanted E-Tier to be labeled Untiered, but there weren't enough tiers for that. 🙃
Just to make sure my understanding is correct:
E-Tier: Almost useless
D-Tier: Usable, but don't offer much
C-Tier: Decent
B-Tier: Good, just outclassed
A-Tier: Top Tier
S-Tier: Best Blades in the game
S+ Tier: The actual best Blades in the game
Is this right?
Wow this is a pretty in-depth list. However for me as a person who's just playing through the game for casual fun my decision factor on what blades to use comes down to who looks coolest. 😆 This video has been pretty insightful on the intricacy of blade abilities that I couldn't be bothered to pay any attention to.
Much appreciated.
Meanwhile, I'm still stuck dying to 3 motorbikes while climbing the world tree.
Feels like you're playing a different game altogether.
Ranking the blades by usage is a good idea.
haha i was made aware you did something similar a while back but included blades used as stat mods, i didn't count those in my own stats here
Tbh I struggled to know which common blades were used in which challenge. In your spreasheet I see you counted the ones with Orb Master/Ultimate Combo. btw I laughed when I saw you used the same Ice Megalance for 75% of the early battles.
Love your knowledge of the game. Great content.
Thanks again for another informative and interesting video.
I love how the two best blades in the game aren't really true blades at all.
Wow all of my blades suck. But I don't play competitively, so I'm going to stick with Mythra, Nia, and Obrona for Rex.
Wow a heart, thats pretty flippin neat! I only commented 10 months late because I just got xenoblade because I wanted to learn more about pyra/mythra when they were added to smash bros, and now the game has become one of my top favorites.
I just rewatched this and I realized that since the last time I watched it, I changed Obrona to Fiora without even knowing how good she is. Now I have to try her on Morag!
I thought I was strong at the endgame. I was quickly proved wrong.
i got perun as my first rare summon, and shes pretty so ill take her, only at chapter 3 too xD
May 29 comes, Monolith Soft. surprises us with an update to XB2, you can upgrade Pneumas Tree and Affinity and use her with Overdrive
And Shulk Purge now remove all forms of buffs from enemies
The greatest pain is when all of your favorite blades just suck :(
Bromarch deserves a buff.
