Rick, I grew up in Wisconsin too. Every summer my dad and I visited the PJ yard in Sturgeon Bay. We had a summer home in the area. I was more into sailboats. My uncle was friends with Pat Hagerty who owned PJ in its hay day, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s for aluminum sailboats. He was also a helmsman for Hagerty on his Bay Bea racing boats. So for me it’s so depressing to see it died.

The fact that he's probably making the same about of money feeding like 1% of the people he had to feed on a cruise ship probably makes his life more enjoyable to work with small groups instead of a whole town.
Wow, maybe I am a bit bias being in Wisconsin, but I think this is the most awesome walk through you two have ever done. Walking into the living room and dining room and incredible bar with giant TV.. .let the decompression begin, I immediately feel like I am on vacation. Over 9,000 hp and 32 knots!!!! It's hard to believe this yacht is twelve years old. The bow configuration creates a wonderful abundance of open deck space. I love the salon and the timeless decor throughout. I also like the separation of guest and crew areas, and I bet the crew does, too. Great tour of a great boat. It's fun to imagine this summer home going 32 knots! Merry Christmas and wishing you continued success in the new year.

She's mad funny! She said what she said about your helm tours and she said it nicely. Good job and #salute to you sir for taking her feedback like a champ. Great tour!
A truly AWESOME VESSEL! At first glance, it looks very military from the shape of the hull. The top speed of 32 knots adds to the impression. BUT, when you walk inside ... WOW! Super impressive!.
I owned a summer home in Door County, Wisconsin, and I used to see this vessel as she was being constructed from its infancy to final completion. Part way through interior buildout, I was thrilled to be offered a tour of this incredible yacht from an executive a Palmer Johnson. Made me a bit jealous, especially when I had a modest 30' Sundancer docked just across the channel from Palmer Johnson.
Rico don't let Victoria give you a hard time about your tours in the helm area and engine room. All your information is appreciated!!! Thanks for the tour. The DB9 was started in Wis, then brought to England but with the labor problems at the time the vessel was finished in Florida hahaha. the vessel was beached on air pillows so to speak. Unfortunatly Tim Mohammed Shut down PJ in the states and now use the nords. DB9 is one only two 52m vessels built to date. If you like this vessel then you will love the Lady M a 64m sport yacht. But she was sized due to Russian owner. :(
I've seen this boat toured before (although not Naughtstyles in depth tour) and it impresses me just as much this time as the first time. Just a wonderful boat and 3400 nm at cruising speed is crazy considering the speeds that it would go. And that bow pool is just nuts (in a good way!). And if I win the lottery next week, I know exactly the group of friends I'd like to take along.
Victoria and Rico, my deepest gratitude for the exceptionally thorough walk-through of the DB9. I liked the video so much that I decided to buy the DB9! Your attention to details, calling out countless small nuances was insightful and instrumental in my purchasing decision. My wife and I are looking forward to putting thousands of hours on the engines. We will take her all around the world from Monaco to Alaska, and everywhere in between. Thanks again, and continue making exceptional content... your videos are fantastic!
I think the two of you were at least as excited as all of us on this tour. I can hear Alexi groaning every time you come across some new design or gear. Regarding technical descriptions, my wife likes to watch quantum physics videos - she loves the subject, but it's better than counting sheep when she feels the need for a nap! Keep on with the technology talks Rico - the rest of us love them.
I have a question; When you buy one of these types of vessels, do you hire a crew to help you move the vessel? I would imagine that you would need help unless you (the owner) have experience in vessels.
Thanks so much for the wonderful tour of this Palmer Johnson yacht. Spectacular inside and out. Can hardly wait to take a tour of your yacht. Thanks again and Merry Christmas to you both and a safe and happy New Year.
I mean, it is expensive, but 20 million for such a big yacht is not that expensive if you look at home prices nowadays, and it is mobile, but monthly expenses about 250,000 are killing it 😅
Dude the maintenance for this will be astronomical & everything you see on yachts is expensive. Everything that comes in contact with water needs to be replaced on a semi regular basis and that’s with constant cleaning. The $250k a month expenses are probably just the captain & crew wages.
Love this! ❤❤. The one thing I like, about older model yachts that get refitted. You get so much room, at a cheaper price, than if it was a new build and it looks better.
Beautiful yacht for sure but can’t believe the black layout cushions. I remember having a 1973 Larson 175 Valero sport with black seating and how many times people sat down and immediately jumped overboard with their arses smoking from the heat 😂. Merry Christmas to all🎄
You guys always make a tour fun. I take lil notes about what you find interesting. If I were to buy a large yacht I’d call you to help in a second. I think you two are very down to earth kinda people. Your a great couple!!
Yes! This is a fantastic boat and it has ALL the bells and whistles. A superb choice for a tour. I'm likely not alone being green from head to toe... ;)
I’ve been binge watching some yacht tours that you guys do and I would love to go charter with a Bering 77 or 70 I was just blown away by how well built these yacht/ships are just incredible
That’s an awesome yacht. I sure liked the captains’ house, where all the controls are, it looks very modern, specially with a couple desks that you can stand at. The owners’ suite, in the bedroom, looks like the size of a house’s master bedroom 🛥️ . 😊
One of the sexiest looking mega yachts I’ve seen. Also love how the interior looks very homey feeling and not museum like. It just seems very inviting, comfortable, fun and relaxing.
Best of the season to both of you. This is a great yacht, still looks fab. for 12 year old. She packs a punch in so many ways. This was a great video the time flew by so Quickly....
Alright, a few items to state here. Who makes the deck chairs on the bow? Agree with incorporating a bar area on your Bering along with large TV behind the bar. Extra amenities that guest forgot for your yacht. Need rain head showers on your yacht. Rico will your helm be similar to this, maybe not quite as elaborate. Rico you need those dual rudder controls for sure. Tell her to go sun herself on the bow while you go over the man space. 😉. Need the cabin status wheel on your cabins for sure. Need cameras to view your clients up on deck when entertaining them. Like the roll-up doors in the galley. Love the wine refrigerator in the owners suite. Cool night stands for sure. Unreal engine room. Just an awesome yacht. Thank you both for showing it. Cheers.
Great ship, this was literally jaw dropping. I wish I could set foot on one of these one day. Massimo is a great guy; after handling 300 cooks and 4000 passengers he is now cooking in sandbox mode for fun. :D Also, as a German I am a tiny bit proud that it has MTU engines. ;) They make the best engines on the planet.

beautiful boat, great tour! and the chef seems like such a awesome guy! really can see he takes pride in his kitchen and providing the bet experience for every one on board. i also really like that the crew gets to eat the same thing as the guests . and not giving them a loaf of bread and sandwich meat to eat lol. i am amazed at the massive amount of space on this boat with how sleek it is and also all the massive storage areas on deck for the jet skis, the pool the spas take up so much room i automatically assumed the interior was gonnna be small. i was extremely wrong lol
Most definitely a true "Dreamers" yacht! How gorgeous!!! Thanks so much for a great tour of this thoroughbred of yachting!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2023!! 🎄🎁🦌
I think this is my favourite yacht ever!!! It's a floating palace!!!
Happy holidays Nautistyle team! Great episode! Beauty of a yacht! Thanks for sharing!👍👍
Thank youuuu!
@@NautiStyles 👍👍
A charter on this thing would be fantastic! It's not my dream yacht to own since that one I operate myself, and I can't ever see myself at the helm of this thing, but just to sail on it once would be an amazing experience.
And if I win the lottery next week, I know exactly the group of friends I'd like to take along.
First! Happy Holidays Vic & Ric!
Happy holidays!
You two are still the best presenters, very much fun to watch, thanx guys
oooow thank youuu
Victoria and Rico, my deepest gratitude for the exceptionally thorough walk-through of the DB9. I liked the video so much that I decided to buy the DB9! Your attention to details, calling out countless small nuances was insightful and instrumental in my purchasing decision. My wife and I are looking forward to putting thousands of hours on the engines. We will take her all around the world from Monaco to Alaska, and everywhere in between. Thanks again, and continue making exceptional content... your videos are fantastic!
Wow, thank you James! Congrats to you and your better half!!!
Some length motor yachts like this by law have to have crew even when the boat is docked
Black fabric for every sunlay and furniture AUCH ! 💥🌋🔥
Thanks so much for the wonderful tour of this Palmer Johnson yacht. Spectacular inside and out. Can hardly wait to take a tour of your yacht. Thanks again and Merry Christmas to you both and a safe and happy New Year.
I mean, it is expensive, but 20 million for such a big yacht is not that expensive if you look at home prices nowadays, and it is mobile, but monthly expenses about 250,000 are killing it 😅
You need to rent it out
Dude the maintenance for this will be astronomical & everything you see on yachts is expensive. Everything that comes in contact with water needs to be replaced on a semi regular basis and that’s with constant cleaning. The $250k a month expenses are probably just the captain & crew wages.
Love this! ❤❤. The one thing I like, about older model yachts that get refitted. You get so much room, at a cheaper price, than if it was a new build and it looks better.
they keep interrupting each other, especially the guy... so annoying. i'm hoping i could find an aquaholic video of this yacht
Beautiful yacht for sure but can’t believe the black layout cushions. I remember having a 1973 Larson 175 Valero sport with black seating and how many times people sat down and immediately jumped overboard with their arses smoking from the heat 😂. Merry Christmas to all🎄
I keep coming back to this video, this yacht is so beautiful.
I use his bridge tours to lower my blood pressure! I find the bridge tours very calming!! Keep up the great calming videos! Capt Steve
Thank you, crew, appreciate the peek behind the curtains.
You guys always make a tour fun. I take lil notes about what you find interesting. If I were to buy a large yacht I’d call you to help in a second. I think you two are very down to earth kinda people. Your a great couple!!
I have watched nearly every DB9 video, and you guys are the 1st to point out the “baby gates” at the stairs! Great catch!
Has the lines of a naval vessel! Such and inviting interior! Great tour again guys!
As an employee of MTU I really appreciate the helm and Engine room segments
hats off to the Chef, that guy has the best personality. : )
You guys are fun too watch, I look forward to every new episode on Saturday. Also I think Rico's helms tours are spot on👍👍👍👍👍
the fit & finish in the engine room to the Owners Suite is very superior to most as well as the 11 crew members awesome job !!!! running this BREAST
Beast… otherwise we’re talking two of em
One of the sexiest looking mega yachts I’ve seen. Also love how the interior looks very homey feeling and not museum like. It just seems very inviting, comfortable, fun and relaxing.
Palmer Johnson sportsyachts of this era are the best looking ships out there.
I love the subtle ‘db’ shape the girl makes in the photo art in the master cabin !
So very respectful how you say you won't open all storages, as you open everything you can after that was said!
Cheers.
Ricco, your voice is both soothing and informative. Kudos and happy new year to you both from the Gold Coast, Australia. xx
Dude....Your helm tours are AWESOME!! I love in depth helm and engine room tours. Wish you would do more in depth stand alone geek stuff.
Stop being mean to Rico. He's actually very knowledgeable and easy to listen to. I appreciate his tours.
Thoroughly enjoyed your tour. My entire flat is the size of the master suite, so I'm happy 😊
Great ship, this was literally jaw dropping. I wish I could set foot on one of these one day.
Massimo is a great guy; after handling 300 cooks and 4000 passengers he is now cooking in sandbox mode for fun. :D
Also, as a German I am a tiny bit proud that it has MTU engines. ;)
They make the best engines on the planet.
Amazing ship. Very cool design, a lot of space…I love it!!!
Only cost $22mil more to go first class! I've watched a bunch of your RUclips videos. This was the best. Both of you were blown away by this boat. Good job. 🎉
This proves bigger doesn't mean better. I love the Aston Martin reference and super car vibe. This has to be one of my favorites for sure.🌴💛🌴
Awesome meeting the crew. Nice to see that and talk to them. Beautiful boat.
I really like this boat. This is the third walkthrough I've seen of it and yours is by far the best, most informative presentation. You guys are really great at this. ell done! Happy holidays to you both!
Crazy! Thanks for taking us aboard. To live in a world where such things are possible.
Love love love
💙💙💙
The interior design on this boat is your taste 100 percent!
One of the best yacht tours I've seen on YT. Great work. Thank you.
