What Jimmy did with the Dallas organization was a historical thing. I actually feel like a member of that team because of how I was so involved with what was happening. Thank you Jimmy and all your players for giving a Dallas Cowboy fan the best feeling in the world. Thank you Jerry for hiring Jimmy, but that's all the thanks I am giving Jerry.
Miss these two guys - Two underrated football icons. It what a different time when football was more physical and harder on offensives unless you played a west coast offense - cough cough 49ers...;)
As a tennis coach I really listen to Jimmy, Parcells, Walsh, Gibbs and Dikta they were another breed!!!!!!! Even George Seafort was very clever. Doesn’t matter if it’s a different sport the fundamentals about psychology don’t change.
Watch the Vikings game! Aikman was hit about 21 times and only got called for 1 intentional grounding and he put up over 400+ yards despite the fact that about 11 passes were dropped! Aikman was awesome and probably one of the toughest players to ever play the position!
Watch that 94 championship game as well. 49ers front was killing him all day, and with Erik Williams out and Rookie Larry Allen on a bum ankle, Ricky Jackson was crushing Aikman all day. Lots of late hits and cheap shots, but he never waivered.
What made Jimmy great was that he knew what buttons to push to make the players better. Jimmy had this saying, "Treat a person as he is, and he will remain as he is. Treat a person as if he were where he could be and should be, and he will become what he could be and should be..." Then drafting nd finding the right players. In the Herschel Walker trade he got Emmitt Smith, Russell Maryland, Darren Woodson, Kevin Smith and these guys would be playing multiple Super Bowls. He was a genius when it came to the draft. Even got Jimmy Smith who would later be a star with Jacksonville. Even Michael Irvin knew that if Jimmy stays on the Cowboys three peat because I promise they wouldn't have gone down 21-0 against the 49ers in that 94 NFC Championship game. Either way, Jimmy and Troy made beautiful music together and it's a shame that both Jimmy and Jerry couldn't leave their egos at the door.
I was at the Leon Lett thanksgiving game! Little known fact -- Jerry Jones' guests that day were OJ and Nicole Simpson, and he was wearing the gloves that day because of the snow. They walked down the aisle right by my seat going from Jerry's box to the field.
I loved them but 4 years is not a dynasty but ""During that period, Landry's teams had 20 straight winning seasons, 13 divisional championship, five NFC titles and victories in Super Bowls VI and XII."" Now that would be a dynasty.
#3 42-31 Jason Garrett Leads Cowboys past GB and Sterling Sharpe's 4 TD's. #2 Randy Moss Torches Dallas 46-36. #1 Leon Lett gives the game to the Dolphins in snow 16-14.
There will never ever ever be another Dallas dynasty as good as the Jimmy Johnson era, period.

When Jimmy left Jerry Jones broke my ❤. I've lived in KC now for 30 years and love my chiefs. They are as close to cowboys of that era I can think of.
In Valley Ranch, almost daily I'd see Troy and Jimmy jogging at lunchtime around the facility (Cowboy Headquarters)👍💯🏈

I miss Tom Landry.

I remember all of this, great stuff !
Jimmy should be invited to the Star in Frisco more often as a guest speaker.

Jimmy Johnson's gambling poker style changed the draft forever!
Wish they both stayed
I miss these two in Dallas Jerry Jones is messing up so much I Dallas cowboys franchise.
U think !!!!!!!!!!

Which is your most memorable Thanksgiving game?
#3 42-31 Jason Garrett Leads Cowboys past GB and Sterling Sharpe's 4 TD's. #2 Randy Moss Torches Dallas 46-36. #1 Leon Lett gives the game to the Dolphins in snow 16-14.
The 98 Vikings and Randy Moss torching the Cowboys.
The Leon Lett was the most memorable game.

Dallas was favored over Buffalo.
years in Dallas has been in the same way bad
