@@SnareMan the review! I had no clue that you had any plans of reviewing these, but I'd seen them on instagram and I was really hoping someone would make a video on them. Keep up the great work!
My fellow drummers and percussionists, *NEVER* let your girlfriend or wife see her face on a practice pad or drumhead. She may get the wrong idea and leave you (I haven’t done that, so I probably don’t know what I’m talking about). That said, this pad sounds awesome and it seems to be much more affordable than a certain other pad we need not mention *cough cough* Xymox.
Great review! I’ve been looking into these pads and I’m glad you made one because they’re very high quality reviews. You find the good and the bad, not just one or the other. Very high quality reviews!
I bought one of these without the laminate because I play on Mylar heads; the silicon rubber surface feels great and comes closer to Mylar than the laminate would. Overall, I like the pad a lot. I appreciate that the snare sound is adjustable, which makes the pad more versatile as a teaching tool. Like you, I would like a feature to silence the snare sound totally; but maybe that can happen in subsequent editions. Great pad for an excellent price.
Ordered one of these this morning and in less than 4 hours I had a tracking number and shipping confirmation. I’m excited but will likely buy an Invader V3 hybrid in a few days as well lol.
It's about time. I bought one in 2014 when their customer service was poor, but not yet abysmal. Great pad, but not worth waiting 2 years to get it lol

You should maybe try out the HUN U-12 Marching Snare Pad. It's very similar to the active snare pad, but with double rims like an actual marching snare. I checked on Amazon and found one for about $89, which is a pretty good price for the product. It also sounds more like a marching snare than the active snare, and I recommend trying it out!
@@SnareManthe hun u12 is double sided and have a different sound than the m12 which is more similar to the active snare pad. I've got a movement pad, I think it's pretty awesome. Portable, great surfaces and quiet. Their "marching snare" laminate is always sold out, so I'm probably going to buy a laminate from beetle percussion instead.
I like the V3 Hybrid a little better. I think it has a little better rebound although the V3 is definitely louder though unless you get the deadening puck.

So apparently these active snare pads are a Chinese made pad called the Hun U12 or something? They’ve just been rebranded with the RCP logo.
