    I have the 6 inch Vic firth pad, the slim pad, the remo pad, and the invader v3. I have played on all of those pads before and my favorite is definitely the invader for marching and the grey Vic firth for concert.

    I love my Vic Firth practice pad. It’s a big pad, but what boggles my mind is how light it is!!!

    Just a tip, many pads under 13" do not fit in a typical snare basket style stand, because the baskets don't go much under 13". It's all dependent on the stand. You gotta shop around.

    Which is more realistic in terms of marching snare feel: the Invader V3 Dark Matter or the Innovative Percussion Black?

    Which of these pad has more realistic feel towards marching snare: Ahead or Offworld?

      Offworld, invader v3 with the black darkmatter surface.

    • @ronaldgabrieljuan8624

      @@Girgburg thanks. I've also seen that the ahead is more expensive. So Offworld is far better

      @Girgburg 3 года назад

      @@ronaldgabrieljuan8624 yeah I've had my v3 for years, I love it. Just make sure you get the darkmatter version, the yellow gumrubber version is more of a drum set/concert snare feel.

      Using a reel feel on top of an Ahead pad sounds and feels great. Feels very similar to a matching snare, but it depends on what surface you decide to play on. Playing on a stand on carpet verses a stand on a solid foundation is very different and will produce a different sound and bounce.

    Do you have any marching snare drum pads with a snare system that’s not over 75$

    • @lucscott3631
      @lucscott3631 3 года назад +2

      I don’t think they do, but if you get an rcp active snare pad that works pretty well. Sweetwater sells the ahead shoop snare pad and it’s 60 bucks. The RCP is about 75

      @@lucscott3631 yah the ahead one would probably be the best for a marching snare pad and it uses xymox components or an rcp snare pad but some of rcp’s drum pads cost a little more then 75$

      The Offworld Outlander is only about $40 and is basically a budget invader, pretty slick

      For a pad that feels close to a marching snare, I would personally go with the Ahead S-Hoop Marching Pad. If you are looking for a practice pad that feels like a standard concert snare it gets a bit more complicated. The small Remo Tunable pad is close to the right feeling but doesn't have quite as much rebound as a concert snare would generally have and is a bit louder than the other options. On the other hand, most of the softer gum rubber pads have a bit more rebound than a concert snare would generally have, but they are quite a bit quieter than the Remo Tunable pad.

      My favorite is the Offworld pad, my second favorite is the Salyers pad, and my third favorite is the Vic Firth double-sided pad

      @@AmroMusic i bought a prologix russ miller pad, and i recomend it. The workout surface is close to a real standar snare and you can change to 3 differents surfaces. gum rubber, brushes and workout
