Yes. Your life has been a lie.
Good music knows no skin colour.
The older I get, the more certain I become of this fact. Great music is where you find it. If you pigeonhole yourself into listening to only one genre or another, you're doing yourself a massive disservice.
@@fotzilla3832 Amen to that!
RIGHT
I never understood people thinking only one "race" has soul. Music is soul and soul has no color. It flows through everyone. It brings people together. ❤️✌️
Thats the perfect way to say that.❤
Soul music isn't about skin color it's about emotion and heart
Yea you're completely right
please don’t take away the acknowledgment of black culture.
Yea why are all the black RUclipsrs with swim caps on surprised that white people are in bands (and in more than blacks too!)
@Calvin
Quit race baiting. Grow up..
@@calvin394 imitation is the highest form of flattery.
SURPRISE, SURPRISE!!! The Look on your face when you found out that the Bee Gees were White!! That alone was worth a LIKE👍🤣
At that moment, he really looked like his dad. That facial expression. lol
@@NotSoFast71 Hilarious love his reactions!!! 👏👏😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
“I know the singer is black. I know soul when I hear it.” 🤣🤣🤣
@@SuperAdam2468 We're not all gingers. I am, though
Look for the video: Phil Donahue Show: November, 1981. What Barry said about black singers ... you could hear a pin drop.
Wait till he sees a video of Bobby Caldwell - What You Won't Do For Love...
When I was a kid in the 90's and my friend's mom would play this, I always thought it was a woman🤷♂️😂
Barry Gibb the blackest white man😝😝😝😝😝
The look on your face when Barry Gibb popped on screen looked like it was the first time you ever saw a white guy lmao
Looked fake to me🤔
That’s the thing there list of great songs is endless lol
@@skyler713 that’s cuz it is!!! Gotta pretend like an idiot for the views
@@skyler713 Yes, way over-reacted.

You probably misunderstood when they told you it's was three brothers.😜🤘

That's awesome!
This needs to be at the top of the comments. GOLD...........
Back in the day the BeeGees were touring the US and threatened to cancel a show in one of the southern states because the fans were going to be segregated. The authorities finally relented and the show went on. Good on the BeeGees, who grew up in Australia.
They grew up in England
They are/were English...proud of our guys...
They were from Chorlton in Manchester and lived in a semi-detached house on Keppel Road, Chorlton and went to Oswald Primary School..
Lol UK 🇬🇧 is where they are from
I’m an old white lady and I love all genres of music!! We rocked in the 70’s and 80’s. Some of us white folks have soul way down deep!!
Correct sure is can’t take away appreciation of class ❤❤❤
"I know the lead singer is black..." - "instead, here comes this (white...) dude looking like Jesus..." 🤣
Love, LOVE, L - O - V - E Your reaction to this track, young man -
it makes my heart sing!
It proves without a doubt that music knows no color - and that we all bleed red...
Keep the reactions coming, my friend!💕
Edit; Your appreciation for Sir Barry Gibb's falsetto warms my heart - and, Your "Why have You lied to me, black America!?!" made me cry with laughter, again!😂
Especially since the Brothers Gibb weren't even American 🤣
I love his reaction. I laugh every time.
This song saves lifes, because "Stayin 'Alive” helps to find the right rhythm with cardiac massage.
Oh, I LOVE that song... "At first I was afraid, I was petrified..."

Calm down Michael
Annoyingly a better beat to do CPR to is gangnam style
"Am I even still black?" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hilarious, dude.
BTW: Barry Gibb and Michael Jackson were good friends. Michael used to hang out at Barry's house, sometimes showing up in the middle of the night! He'd even call Barry in the middle of the night and ask Barry to sing to him!! 😏 Barry actually named one of his children after Michael and made Michael his Godfather!
I've got tears in my eyes, laughing so hard at your reaction today!!
I was in stitches to lo.
Same, 👍👍
I kept rewatching it, 😂😇🤭😁
Same 🤣🤣🤣
In his tight white pants omg 🤣🤣
Me too. When he jumped back and his eyes popped out on stalks 🤣🤣 Bless him. Too funny. 🤣🤣
"Yo! White Jesus be cranking this joint!" - classic. Not only were they singing Falsetto, but these brothers could do so in perfect harmony. An astounding vocal performance.
Brother it's not about white culture, asian culture, black culture, or skin color. When you sing from the heart it Becomes soul music my dude. I loved seeing your reaction this Morning at 7:22 am June 19th 2022 PST. Seeing your reaction warmed my heart. All people connect through music. Be blessed bro! ✌️
This NEVER gets old!! I love watching the younger generations react to these amazing, ridiculously talented brothers! There's a long way to go if you want to enjoy all the Bee Gees hits, enjoy!
Yo, white Jesus is crankin' this joint. LOL Dude I love this about music.

How have I missed this reaction? “White Jesus”😂😂😂
Bee Gees didn’t make any bad music. So much talent, creativity and beautiful voices. Love the Bee Gees
I love the "they're not black???" reaction to these Cats! It warms my whatever heart.
I fucking lost it at “ I thought black lives mattered”
I laughed too hard at that comment🤭🤭
@@martymcflyyy3157 Same 🤣
Try listening to Rick Astley’s “never gonna give you up” to further be shocked into voices that don’t match the person..😱
My favorite line about Rick Astley's voice in that song came from VH1's "50 most awesomely bad songs ever". One of the commentators said "I believe he stole that voice. I believe he stole that voice from a black man."
Wait until he reacts to Wild Cherry's Play That Funky Music
I was having a shitty day and then I watched this video...Bahahahahahahahahaha...As a 52 yr old white woman who grew up listening to this group...seeing your reaction to realizing the singer is white...was absolutely priceless!!!!! Btw...Listen to Play that Funky Music/Wild Cherry....they are white too!!!!
They're brothers and Robin and Maurice are twins. The one with the beard is Barry. The Gibb brothers.
@Adrian James Baring yep and Andy was the first to go.
@Adrian James Baring He called it
Whit jesus
Yep B(ee) G(ees) stands for Brothers Gibb
@W̶I̶Z̶C̶O̶O̶シ I thought it was robin that's the only one still alive thanks
They were born in England and the family later moved to Australia and eventually back to England, but it was a radio dj in Australia that noticed them and named them the BeeGees, the initials BG stand for Brothers Gibb. Barry Gibb, lead singer is the oldest with Robin and Maurice who are fraternal twins. They also had a younger brother Andy that had hit songs himself. I became a huge fan in the early 70's, posters all over my bedroom wall.
Almost. Though it is widely believed that the Bee Gees first got their name from being the Brothers Gibb, this meaning did not come until a few years after their founding. When the brothers moved to Australia in 1958, they began playing on the radio with friends Bill Goode and Bill Gates. The groups name was originally The BG’s - contrived from the common initials between Barry Gibb, Bill Goode, and Bill Gates. The name then evolved from The BG’s to the Bee Gees which eventually came to mean the Brothers Gibb!
@@botrbro Sorry, but that is what I just said??? It also is not "believed" but fact as told by Barry, Robin and Maurice hundreds of times. Anyone who has followed them their for decades knows their well known and lengthy biography. It is also nice to let newbies know that Barry is now Sir Barry Gibb, as he was knighted by Prince Charles.
@@grimgrinningtracy9157 Just pointing out that it standing for their initials came later. What I posted is taken from the BeeGee's website.
yeah, my Pommy Dad played a lot of this when I was a young Aussie... pretty big here
Born on the Isle of Man, not England. They are British as the Isle of Man is a British Crown Dependency. They can also call themselves English as they come from an English family, despite being born on the Isle of Man. No family connections on the Isle of Man.
Bee Gees went to New York and wrote this about what they were seeing. Whether you're a brother or whether you're a mother you're just staying alive. The brotherhood blending of their voices is amazing!!!
Amen 👍👍
Barry, his twin brothers Robin and Maurice are the Bee Gees. Have created 1030 songs for themselves and so many other artists. They are amazing artists! Their life story is something to discover.
Try Too Much Heaven, Jive Talkin’, You Should Be Dancing and many more....Bee Gees have great stuff!
Too Much Heaven is AMAZING!!!!
For a second I thought you were insulting the man.

To Love Somebody. Beautiful💖
Jive talking!!!!
You should be dancing...yeahhhh
Great reaction....pure shock. Many people think the Bee Gees are from Australia, but they are actually from the Isle of Man in the UK. Your videos are very refreshing.
We raised them and the Bee Gees were born here. They wrote their first hit here. Spicks and specks. Made the charts as they were flying back to the UK. 😝
@@danimitchell1701 Where is here?
Popularly believed to have hailed from Australia, the Bee Gees were actually born in England; Barry (born Douglas) on the Isle of Man in 1947, and the twins, Maurice and Robin, in Manchester in 1949. The band was born in Australian and raised. The Gibb Bros. were born in the UK.
@@cueballrobbie2237 yup. I am Australian. Very aware of where they were born. Andy Gibb was only a baby when they came here.
@@danimitchell1701 I have many amazing friends in Australia. My best friend from Melbourne died a couple of years ago. He was a great character. When we tried to say a singer or group was from Australia, he would say "another bloody pom." I wasn't complaining with your reply. I totally agree. I knew you was an Aussie. Sorry mate if I made you think I was having a go.
"He's probably been to more cookouts than me!" - Fuck me, I'm crying! 🤣
They wrote over 1000 songs for other people, had over 100 top ten sings had 6 of the top ten gor nearly a year. These boys were the true kings of the airwaves in their era!
“WhiteJesus” is hilarious. invite me to the cookout too so I can meet him.Great reaction!
I call him the Medallion Stallion.
Just so you know white Jesus also wrote this song. I loved your reaction it was great. Please react to more Bee Gees.
Bless your heart son! I’ve watched many reaction videos and I want to tell you that yours is the best and funniest reaction I’ve ever seen.
You are so genuine!
Hahaha! I bow to your reaction. This song was about the hard times NY had in mid70's especially Bronx
Love your reaction! The Bee Gees were born on The Isle of Man but lived in Manchester, England before moving to Australia. You need to check out Night Fever, More Than a Women, Too Much Heaven, Jive Talkin', How Deep is Your Love, Alone. They're just a few of the Bee Gees great hits.
And that's not even scratching the surface... the innumerable hits they wrote for OTHERS... Al Green, Barbra Streisand, Rogers & Parton... some of the most prolific, successful songwriters in the history of recorded music .
tragedy and you win again are awesome too. 'i started a joke' is a great one to showcase Robin's voice
The American Heart Association recommends people use this song to help them with timing chest compressions. They teach this song in CPR classes. This song saves lives.
Literally helping people keep stayin' alive
So true. I'm a medical assistant and I was told the same during CPR classes and I'm not american.
so ? neither are the bee gees @@truthismycause2800
Bruh I died when you said white jesus is crankin this joint😂😂😂
If you think the Bee Gees sound black, check out “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’” and “Unchained Melody” by the Righteous Brothers. And while you’re dippin’ into the 1960s, check out one of the Bee Gees’ earliest hits, “To Love Somebody.” They wrote it for legendary R&B singer Otis Redding (of “Sittin’ On the Dock of the Bay” fame). But Otis died before he could record it, so the Bee Gees went ahead and recorded it. Also, their song “Words” from the same era will make your girlfriend melt.
yes yes yes!! please do :)
How about the Ides of March and "Vehicle"? I about dropped my teeth when I saw they were a bunch of dweeby looking white dudes.
Your reaction when they walked into frame was hilarious.
The fact that you keep calling him "white Jesus" is cracking me up. You're reaction to this video is so great!!!
Even though I wasn't born until late 70s, I grew up listening to my parents' vinyls. I had a crush on Barry!
"Has my whole life been a lie???"

Greeting from the UK
I am LOVING your reaction! 😄
Times were different then. Nothing but talent
From Manchester, England - Congratulations! You've discovered Barry Gibb - lead singer, world-famous falsetto of the Bee Gees! LOVED your shock, stunned reaction! Hey, check out "You Should Be Dancing" video - It's as disco-funky-soulful sounding as it was in the 1970s when I first heard it!
Bro you’re not the only one... I literally thought the same as you and when I discovered the music video, let’s just say your reaction was priceless. I just stood there in a camatose state, but we all know that man has soul of a brother somewhere.
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. They wouldn't have been doing this if they didn't admire it so much, my friend.
This is the funniest reaction i have ever seen. Loved Iy.
Your reactions to my generation of music are just priceless! 🤣😂🤣
Oh my goodness laaaaaugh at your reaction when you seen Barry Gibb your so cute love your channel and your families channel

And movin' to the groovin',
And just when it hit me,

"Play that funky music, white boy!
Play that funky music right!
Play that funky music, white boy!
Lay down that boogie,
And play that funky music 'til you die!"

Always amazing how they changed between the 60's, the 70's and the 90's. Completely different. Always brilliant.
I know right. All decades are fire. Wish I could've lived in them to experience it.
LMAO..."They probably been to more cook-outs than me!"
It was called blue eyed Soul back in the day. Now it is just gut bustin' Soul whatever the skin colour. The Bee Gees were brought up listening to the Mills Brothers. They loved Soul and R&B that is why with great respect they recorded the music they did.

😁Hey, just saw you today for the first time young man! Welcome to The Bee Gees! Seriously, I’m 60 & my heart goes out to your generation-it’s a mess out here- but I know people like you with open hearts can lead the way in helping folks to care about each other again. You’re in my prayers! I’ll look forward to more of what you have to share🙋🏼♀️🎵🎉
Barry was literally the finest dude in the world. Can't stop staring at him, the other men in the group just make him look prettier! :o
NOT WAS...still IS!!🔥 ❤ (JUST released his latest album on 1-20-21, too! 😊)
BTW: Maurice was a downright babe, too!
In my opinion, all three of them were attractive in their own way - Robin for his softer, prettier looks, Maurice for his quiet mystery, and Barry for just being.. well, an all-round stud. But yeah, Barry had the look pretty much every man wanted, and the look every woman wanted in a man. He was like the ultimate 70s hunk, though his looks/personality/talents have definitely transcended the ages and still get women hot and bothered (myself included). lol.
I also agree with Diana. I still find Barry really attractive, despite his age. I think it's the fact that he still has the genuine personality and amazing talent that he's always had, which just gives him that special something. White Jesus indeed! :D
@@Erizedd - Agreed! I didn't mean to leave Robin out, by the way. I mainly mentioned Maurice because he has ALWAYS "had my heart"! Your comment was sooo much better, Erized!! 💞
I love watching young people react to music their parents listened to. But when you said you were expecting some black dudes I knew your reaction would be epic. You did not disappoint.
There from England and spent a lot of time in Australia There was a special show about them on Cable Everyone thought they were black too. I grew up listening to them so the surprise on your face was so hilarious 😂

I have been blessed with having a biracial grandson☺️ he never ever has to choose his color. We, both his families love unconditionally!! He loves music as we all do. So when he comes over he says Sweet’s, what he calls me, let’s listen to
His expression at first seeing that Barry Gibb is white made me burst out laughing. That was probably the best reaction to a song/video I've ever seen.
I am soooo happy young people can appreciate the best decades of music(sixties and seventies. And also see that color of skin doesn't matter at all. Bee Gees were awesome
Well well well...this is my favorite band of ALL time🥰🥰🥰 my favorite song is called too much heaven. You should look into it!! I’ve been obsessed with the bee-gees since I was a kid. No one compares. Never have never will. Xoxo BOSS LADY DEE 🕺🏼🕺🏼💃🏻🕺🏼💃🏻🕺🏼

I'll never understand how they pulled that shit off, but I fucking love it!
Suprise suprise suprise! That's the thing about Boomer music we got all kinds and all of it is good!
Boomer and Gen X, our music ROCKS!!
If you need to perform CPR, Staying Alive is the beat you want to use. No kidding!!
I've heard some say they use "Another One Bites the Dust". I'd say "Stayin' Alive" is a less morbid song to use. :P
I love your reaction to this video, young man and I (as well as thousands of other folks were surprised to see that many of our favorite musicians didn't look the same way as they sounded). I'm a 60 yr old white woman and I've mistook black singers as white and white singers for black. I've even mistaken folks like Frankie Valley and the Four Seasons as well as Barry Gibb for female singers when I first heard their falsetto voices. It was even more shocking for the earlier generations that grew up with only radio and saw musicians on t.v. for the first time. Music is Universal and one of the few things that brings all folks of all ages, cultures, races, genders, walks of life, generations, etc together. Keep up the great work and sending you all my love and respect for being willing to learn new stuff. A friend from Maine,USA❤❤❤❤👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
