Dam Adogg miss your AK reactions. J Cole Interlue remix by AK!
Right on,it works. Hello from British Columbia 🇨🇦
@@Whateva67 Hi ! I'm from Quebec. Canada :)
At 67, growing up on their music, it's so fun to watch a younger generation enjoying their music!
Yes it is.. he has the ability to know good music and vocals when he hears them.
Your mom said you were too young back then? Lol. My 3 year old grandson has been listening to them since birth. He can pick Robin out in any photos or videos, whether he's 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, or 60.
Absolutely!
I am 68 now and I agree!! I got to see them live and it was fantastic. It was right before Saturday Night Fever came out.
So happy you love the Bee Gees as much as I did when I first listened to them as a teenager in the 1970s. I'm a black woman and had their poster on my wall back in the day. I also made a huge poster in Art Class in High School with their names on it in big bold letters! I was obsessed and still listen to them on a regular basis. I never get tired of their music. You have a lot of years of listening pleasure coming your way:)
I had their poster on my ceiling! 😂
❤
Amen to that!
You are too cute!! 😂
Me too Michelle
Funfact: this song is often used in CPR classes as it has the right beat to do chest compressions to.
So is Another One Bites the Dust .
Chest compressions and "Ladies Man" it fits! LOL
Absolute irony
Like on The Office. 😁
Lmao
Nothing like watching the coolest John Travolta walking down the street to this song! Haha sooo great! Watch Saturday night fever if only for the amazing music and dancing. Let me know what you think!
Best utube clip for this song is the Travolta Strut!
You mean strut!
I see that in my mine every time I hear this song
Yesss!!
So happy the youngsters are coming around to the best music ever 👵🏼☮️❤️🙏🏼
im 80 years old and i never ever get tired of hearing the Beegees.
Ditto
@@francrespo553Same here!
Adogg, once again you make my day. And your mom is right. Back in the day, nothing mattered. Race, political affiliation, nothing.
You put on your platform shoes, bell bottoms, butterfly collar and hit the dance floor. I really miss those days but thanks for letting me relive it with you!
Love the memories dancing to their music back in high school in the 70’s!! The best days👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
@@marieraynock6440
Exactly!
No exactly true, there were much more segragation back then. The only difference is back then white people did not talk about it because it was "normal" to them. Back then if you were black, gay or communist you were not free.
Music in the 70s and 80s brought us all together as society slowly became more integrated.
Our families dictated some musical genres ,but those friends that came from a different upbringing, neighborhood, culture, etc . Helped to expand and blend our musical tastes.
Growing up in the 70s and 80s was the best.... ,had friends and schoolmates from all walks of life and I loved it.
Best of times
I’ll tell you what I have watched dozens and dozens of people react to the Bee Gees. But you are by far my favorite. Your face lights up like a lightbulb when you hear them sing! They are truly angelic😇
They were literally put on this Earth to be an accurate example on how to harmonize.
Saturday Night Fever, a movie from 1977 staring John Travolta. 😁 Now I got to watch that movie again.
Great movie!
Im white and i cant even believe the bee gees were white. The falsetto in their voices is absolutely insane and uncommon to hear. Wild.
"FANNY BE TENDER" - (Official video) Soulful, falsetto, in-sync harmonies - You will LOVE this song! And don't miss "Jive Talkin" or "You Should Be Dancing" - Bee Gees catalog of songs covers just about everything from ballads, funky, soul and of course, disco. They will NOT disappoint!
Probably my favorite besides How Deep Is Your Love
Why do you label the Bee Gees DISCO when they said themselves they were R&B, you really know the Bee Gees well. they had songs in a Disco movie! people can be ignorant.
@@duke4384 Why do people act as if someone referring to their music as disco when they did have quite a few disco Era hits. Personally I loved disco and didn't think anyone was less of a performer by being associated with the music of that era.
@@le2800 Thank you - I'd stated the Bee Gees songs covered ALL categories of music, but their biggest selling album was from a movie featuring disco music. I, too loved the disco era, and never missed chance to be on the dance floor! However, my favorite Bee Gee songs were before "Saturday Night Fever"...esp. "Fanny Be Tender, Run to Me, How Can You Mend a Broken Heart"...
Dude, you gotta watch the trailer for the movie Saturday Night Fever with John Travolta for this song. They wrote the soundtrack. They also wrote most of the soundtrack for Grease.
Barry wrote one song for Grease, the title track.
The 70s were so much fun, this is from the movie Saturday Night Fever. This is Disco music, lots of dancing to this.
That high voice of Barry's was discovered by accident when recording Nights on Broadway. He didn't even know he could do it. After that singing in falsetto was what they did in the disco era. And the rest is history. His regular voice is beautiful too. Listen to Nights On Broadway where it all started. You will hear his regular voice.
Yes, I saw in their documentary “How Can you Mend a Broken Heart, Barry said that was the song their producer asked if one of them could scream, but like in tune. Barry said he’d give it a try and there you go. Barry said he never knew he could do that, all those years he never knew!
@@carolynnewcomb2153 All that wonderful music that came from that falsetto sound. Can't imagine it almost went undiscovered.
“You should be dancing”, another great one by the Bee Gees. Hope you’ll give it a listen❤️
Yes, another favorite.
How can you mend a broken heart is from their pre-disco period. Stayin' Alive is straight out of their disco period.
“Nights on Broadway” is my favorite Bee Gees’ song.
Their performance of it on the Midnight Special is so good.
This is the opening theme of the John Travolta movie Saturday Night Fever, and was one of the biggest movies of the 70s...very gritty and realistic portrayal of the late 70s New York disco scene. This song was a MASSIVE hit, and you literally couldn't go anywhere without hearing it. I just commented on another reactor's channel about a song that kinda dissed disco music at the time and he said he didn't agree with it because the Bee Gees were so great. I told him I agreed that the Bee Gees WERE great, but most disco music was really lousy, and as a result, a LOT of rock fans hated disco. The Bee Gees had started out as a soft rock band in the 60s who just kinda fell into the disco scene, so they were still consummate professionals, and as such were making just about the only disco music that was worth listening to. And they managed to continue on in other genres after disco music came crashing down literally in flames in the early 80s.
If you liked the sound of this song, you'll probably also love Bee Gee's 'Night Fever' and 'You Should Be Dancing' which were also part of the disco era and sound. Also, please check out the audio of their songs 'Tragedy' and 'Love You Inside Out' which were massive hits (on all their Best Of albums) but didn't get their own music videos - trust me, you want to listen to the audio and hear it clean, as it was intended. You'll love them both, guaranteed! :)
Loving your reaction to the Bee Gees so far - it's great to see how much you're vibing to their sound! They were truly in a league of their own.
"Tragedy".. great song!!
Tragedy and Love You Inside and Out are two of my very favorite Bee Gee songs too!!
Two of my favorites: Tragedy and Fanny, be tender with my love. So different, yet so Bee Gees.
Fun fact; Tragedy and Too Much Heaven was written the SAME DAY
Oh yeah... Tragedy is a good one too.
Just my opinion but who the hell doesn’t get down with the BeeGers? Stayin Alive is one of my favs and is inspired some dope remixes as well.
To this day, their music makes people feel good! Great music is timeless!
We can see your pure joy in watching this. THIS is why we watch reaction videos!!! I was a teenager in the 70's... I'll say this about disco music. Anyone can dance to it!!! Love that you love this.
Great reaction. I too love their sound and Barry is totally awesome - still is and he is such a down-to-earth gentleman. Go down that rabbit hole. You'll love the adventure.
Robin said on an old Merv Griffin interview (1978) that this was filmed on an MGM backlot. The train they were sitting in was the actual train used in Butch Cassidy and The Sundance kid.
The Bee Gees are one of the best groups ever. I was a kid in the 70s when this came out.
In 1977 this song packed the dance floors LIKE NO OTHER ,The Bee Gees have sold over 240 million LPS WORLD Wide , You would have loved living in the 70s , Great dance music UP THE ASS LOL , And you would dance it off ,, l LOVE YOUR reactions
It’s a joy to see your reaction and how much fun you are having. The BeeGees were the best.
Love the Bee Gees!!!
"One"
"For Whom the Bell Tolls"
"I Surrender"
Thank you for liking the Bee Gees! They deserve SO MUCH respect!!! 👏👍🤗
These brothers were brilliant musicians, and the harmonization is exceptional. Something in the genes. Their father was a professional musician and it is definitely in their blood. Amazing.
I grew up listening to the Bee Gees, & you have no idea how happy it makes me, to see the younger generation discover the music we fell in love with !!! All three brothers had amazing falsetto's, however, Barry Gibb, in my opinion, has the most unique falsetto, because in his falsetto, he also used his vibrato, which is rare! They were brothers, & Barry is the last one, but please review more of their music, you will not be disappointed. They span over many decades, & crossed quite a few genres. Looking forward to taking this journey with you!!! ❤️❤️ Just to give you an idea, they started as kids, but first really started to become popular, was with the song, To Love Somebody in 1967!!! Here is the link if you would like to start closer to their career beginnings, where their sound was completely different: ruclips.net/video/QHtGu0OGEpc/видео.html
We were jumping those days, they were hot. John Travolta is the one dancing. Great movie. Love them ❤❤
From the disco era, need to listen, tragedy, you should be dancing, love you inside and out, more than a woman, night fever.
Song before disco : jive talkin, I started a joke, Fanny be tender, Nights on Broadway, to love somebody.
80's songs : you win again, one, alone
I forgot a lot of songs
Fanny Be Tender With My Love is also another great Bee Gees song. It is one of the first songs after the Bee Gees discovered their Falsetto voices.
The movie was Saturday night. Fever
I was a young teenager roller skating to the BeeGees, they are all gone now except Barry!! Their music will live forever🤘
Fanny be tender with my love has to be one of my favorite songs that they sing.
It comes to a climax were their harmonies are just angelic you’ve got to listen to it.
The Bee Gees had more songs in movies than any other group or solo artist ever. Over 100 number one hits and wrote Number one hits for other artists. They wrote every song they ever recorded.
Love So Right, You Should Be Dancing, Fanny be Tender.
The Bee Gees are my favorite group!
Check out their younger brother, Andy, with " "I Just Want To Be Your Everything"...amazing musical family, passed too young
You’ve been BeeGee’d! 😜
I love watching your genuine reactions. Night Fever, more than a woman, you should be dancing and of course fanny be tender with my love. So many
How can you mend a broken heart, Bee Gees, best!
It’s so funny to watch people that have never heard of them reactions; I grew up with them and still think to this day they are the best! Pure talent!
I've loved these guys since the early 70s. You are so cute Adogg. LOL Love your videos.
Fanny be Tender with my love is a brilliant song by Bee Gees, give it a go.
Fanny is one of their best songs.
I love your reactions- you radiate happiness and I can tell how much you’re enjoying discovering these artists!
It’s a bright spot in my day! ✨. Thank you for sharing these with us!
A very underrated song of The Bee Gees is Love so Right. I believe you’ll love it
Stayin' Alive was a great choice
So great to see a young man enjoying classic music. Carry on your journey young man.
"It's Only Words" is a really good one, too. Great reactions, Adogg. Love your enthusiasm! Thank you!
Thanks for sharing the joy of music. It’s addictive! Bee Gee’s makes you feel alive, happy or sad.
Check out Nights on Broadway from the 1975 Main Course album. Make sure you select the 1975 live performance from The Midnight Special, and not the one with the studio version dubbed over it, you will appreciate their voices and harmonies even more when you hear them sing live.
You should also go way back and check out some of their music from the late 60s. I would recommend starting with To Love Somebody from 1967, with Barry on lead, and Massachusetts from 1968 with Robin on lead.
Four Seasons. One of the top three groups of all time.
You Should be Dancing is an up tempo disco song like the one you just reacted to.
The Live Version shows all Four Brothers, Their Little Brother Andy Joins them on stage!
Tragedy is a good song that shows off Barry's voice...
This truly takes me back to my childhood. The Bee Gees were the best back in the day in my opinion. SO glad you are doing reactions to them. One of my favs is You Should Be Dancing from them. My second is the one you are reacting to now. Loving the reactions to the Bee Gee's. Awesome..
"Thank God for the Bee Gees!!" Perfect reaction!!
Go down the Bee Gee rabbit hole❤❤🎵🎵
❤Robin the one in the red shirt. Sung hauntingly beautiful and was adorable.
The kings of disco...I loved this group when I was a kid. I even went back and listened to stuff from the 60's from them like "I started a joke"...they have always been amazing. Barry didn't find his falsetto until the 70's though.
Fanny Be Tender... you will love it! One of their most passionate songs.
“Thank God for The Bee Gees!”
Bee Gees have always been my favorite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the theme song for the movie "Stayin' Alive".
Saturday Night Fever - Stayin Alive was the dismal sequel.
Maybe check out the entire Saturday Night Fever soundtrack. Many of their songs like this one is on it and will really get you into the Disco Groove! Great reaction, keep them up!
The BeeGee road is long Adogg! This was filmed on the set of the old TV show “Combat”. And the train was originally in the movie “Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid”. Please do the live version of “Nights on Broadway” from the Midnight Special. Great solo by Robin. Lower range from Barry. And hear them live. Thanks for sharing!!!
This video was filmed on MGM's back lot #2, in Culver City, CA.
Fun Fact; the drum beat (previously recorded...) was literally stretched and turned into a loop, since the drummer had to leave the U.S. and go back home, due to a family emergency.
During my medical training in the early 1990's, this track was used in our CPR class to keep the correct rhythm while practicing cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
The Bee Gees Catalogue is vast - these three Musical Geniuses wrote, sang and performed over 600 songs.
"JIVE TALKING", "NIGHTS ON BROADWAY", "WORDS", "ONE", "MASSACHUSETTS", "FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS", "I STARTED A JOKE", "MAN IN THE MIDDLE", "FANNY BE TENDER (WITH MY LOVE)", "BLUE ISLAND" (donated to the children of wartorn Bosnia...) and "TRAGEDY" are but a few that showcase the extraordinary talent of these three Legends.💖💖💖
You'll LOVE The Bee Gees hits: 1). "MORE THAN A WOMAN" 2) "JIVE TALKIN". 3) YOU SHOULD BE DANCING". The smoothest disco hits ever! AND during the same Disco era (Mid-Late 70's) is a group you'll absolutely love: ELO (ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA), their bit hits were: 1) "LAST TRAIN TO LONDON OFFICIAL VIDEO", 2) "ALL OVER THE WORLD", 3) "MR BLUE SKY, 4) SWEET TALKIN' WOMAN. For "LAST TRAIN TO LONDON" be sure to search "Electric Light Orchestra - Last Train to London (Official Video)". That's the original video of them playing in the 70's.
Bars for miles Barry Gibb!!!! Perfect.. these guys are royalty
The Bee Gees wrote over 1,000 songs for themsleves, their little brother Andy and whole heap of other big stars. What talent!
"Love You Inside Out"
"You Win Again"
"To Love Somebody"
Did you know MJ and Barry were friends? Actually, Barry's son Michael was named after MJ, and I think he is the son that MJ is the godfather to.
Barry and MJ did write and record together for the song, "All in Your Name." The lyrics have meaningful comments on society.
They had 9 number 1 hits and they wrote a lot of songs for other folk. Amazing.
Can you pretty please check out the 1997 song from the Bee Gees called *Alone* ? You haven't even heard Robin really sing yet but you will in that one. He too is amazing, God rest his soul. Another awesome reaction. Thank you and take care.
Yep thats how I react to Barry's long note😳 By far the best reaction to that song.. So wonderful to see the younger generation enjoying and hearing these guys..💙
Not sure if anyone has told you, the Bee Gees stands for the Brothers Gibb. They were born in Manchester, England and emigrated to Australia when they were young. They have been performing since they were children. Barry is the oldest & Maurice & Robin are twins. They are all also amazing songwriters & there are a lot of their songs out there sung by very famous singers. Also sadly Barry is the only brother left now. This music is timeless isn’t it? Love to watch you seriously enjoy the music. Xx
disco fever, jive talking, spirits has flown, one, massachusetts , so many hits
I absolutely adore you! The Bee Gees are my favorite group of all time and watching you enjoy them brings such a smile to my face! I would suggest that you watch: Alone, You Win Again, Bodyguard, Baby as You Turn Away, Angela, You Should Be Dancing, Closer Than Close, Love So Right, Tradegy and For Whom The Bell Tolls. There are sooooo many others but this is a good start! Words and Price of Love are great too, of course they all are! Lol
Funky song and fun reaction. I'm a 60 year old white man who has been grooving with the BG's for almost 5 decades. They have a wide array of hits to enjoy. It's hard to pick a favorite, but if I was pressed to pick two, I'd probably pick 1) For the Whom the Bell Tolls, and 2) Alone. Robin's solo parts in these songs just seem to propel these songs to new heights. Thanks Adogg for all the great reactions.
If you ever saw SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER with John Travolta you’ve heard the Bee Gees. Barry sang duets with Barbra Streisand. You’ll love those too! It’s such fun to see your joy in the music of my youth!
I think their international success started with, “Got to get a message to you”. 👍🏼 Old, starchy, but showed the budding brilliance they possessed.
I hope you'll make a playlist for them, as you go. They were nothing short of magic! I hope you'll do "You Should Be Dancing." That one has their younger brother, Andy, in it. It's another upbeat, can't sit still while you listen, kind of song. LOVE your reactions, Bro!
Thank God for The Bee Gee's! So Sad that Maurice and Robin are Gone. They are alive in their music. I am happy every time I hear them. Miss Andy also! Glad you love them also!
always enjoy seeing your reactions!! one of my fav of theirs is "Jive talking"- its another upbeat song! keep em coming!!
“Thank God for The Bee Gees!” You got that right! 👍
No question. The greatest bass line ever!!!!
*THIS IS in fact from 1 of the greatest all time movies - Saturday Night Fever. In fact they most of the songs in it for the movie with 5 number 1 songs out of it. It is STILL one of the most successful as Number 1 from 1977 till it lost that spot in 1992 to The Bodyguard (Whitney) soundtrack. That's 15 years.* (But they are still at the top behind that)
This song was the opening song for the movie SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER
Adogg, the whole album had almost all their hits. They were massive! The songs were used for "Saturday Night Fever", the movie, starring John Travolta, was "Saturday Night Fever" and that album exploded. So did Discos with lighted floors and disco balls.
Can you check out Michael McDonald *I Keep Forgettin'* He's the king of that blue eyed soul. I'm interested to see if you recognize the beat. Warren G sampled it back in the day, but I won't say the song. I want to see if you can guess it. Sadly most of the younger kids that react to it don't make the connection because they don't even know who Warren G is! LOL Which always saddens me because it reminds me of how old I really am. 😅 Thanks, love.
I am so jealous of you,you have so much good music yet to discover for the first time
Fanny be tender with my heart .. you will really love it
You need to listen to. To much heaven. Beautiful song.
That’s the disco time frame. So blessed you are have the enjoyment we old farts have lived. 64 and still kicking.
I actually went to see them in concert back in 1968.
Still lived in Nuremberg then and I was 13.
Had the hugest crush on Barry
The Bee Gees were famous before Saturday night fever
Great reaction:)
These men were Monster's in their day, O'yeah BEYOND GREAT, GREAT GREAT!!!! 🎶🎶🎶🎶
I'm 79....love the BeeGees!
They had so many no 1 hits! Plus they wrote hit songs for other people. Their youngest brother Andy was an upcoming star and very handsome. He died at age 30.
