Next week should be great,be ready for unlimited fees, looking. Forward to the next video.
Man this is super thorough and incredibly helpful. As a company driver with little business acumen but wanting to know the numbers of the other aspects of owner op/ leasing. This is super helpful.
Thankful for the info. I'm very happy with how you get to the point. God bless. Looking forward to seeing the next chapter.
as someone else commented earlier, I (and my son) are looking forward to your experiences and comments with landstar. please keep the good work coming for those who are thinking about it all
You did much better as a company driver than a company lease operator.
Thank you for all the info....it makes a difference.....
Thank you for all this information, it is very helpful. Congratulations and good luck with Landstar looking forward to more videos
Glad it was helpful!
Really enjoy your videos for especially from an analytical point of view also appreciate the transparency about truck driving and the logic that goes into that. Have fun at Landstar!!
Thanks 👍
Thank you for all the info very helpful
Congratulations, bro. You did great at Knight Transportation. I can't wait to see the next video.
Happy for you. God-bless
Thank you very much!
Thank you for the transparency and honesty. Your videos are great!
You people are ignorant. He sead he was active at 123 days.well there is 365 days in a year.and how did he get a gross of 52 weeks.
O you people will believe anything
Great info man. Will help many drivers. Very transparent. Looking forward to hear about landstar and load board.
Still missing the suspenders tho bruh
Coming soon!
I’m excited to see the Lance star pay versus Knight payl
thank you very much for collecting, analyzing and then sharing this information. my son is an otr driver and wondering about the exactly the issues you are discussing.
Glad it was helpful!
F**k the entertainment! We love the INFO that you giving. Keep it up.

Tyvm God Bless you
Thanks for the video👍
good job bro!!
Very good I like the FYI’s 👍
Great format!
Glad you think so!
Best of luck to ya, your right on about Knight I Casual Drove with them back in late 90’s to pu so extra cash for my pilot license, it was the same back then, I didn’t get paid for orientation time till about a year after I quit driving,😂😊
yeah, your right, I know when I was at Knight, Driver Mgrs and Term MGrs would allow Log reset so drivers can make more money.
Worked for them, it was hard to find empty trailers.
You did a great job with your spreadsheet
Thank you!
The 5 , Cali is so green wow, Tejon ranch. When I ran the west that entire area was basically desert.
Good luck 🍀 at Landstar
I'm starting with Knight next Monday to get my CDL and will most likely end up at the Vegas terminal; I have to start somewhere. All your positives are why I'm interested in Knight. I understand being new, it won't really matter where I go, the pay won't be amazing for the first year. Aside from the pay, I don't exactly have a family to support and don't have a ton of bills to pay either. I hope things go well for me. Good luck on your future with this new company.
I'm based out of the Vegas terminal, let me know how it all goes for you. I've been with Knight since last June.
I worked at Knight for nine months. Getting miles and driving all over the country was easy. Lots of terminals. The only thing was the pay. It wasn't worth putting in 80 hours a week for $800. Yes, seven days a week. Everything else was great.
As a knight driver outta reno, this hits me hard in the feels
800? How I’m a port driver for knight out of Vegas taking home 1200 weekly
@@jonross473 Thanks for telling the truth, and the $1,200 isn't including bennies.
I drove for them and made more money training than driving solo
This man is a Legend, we gotta protect my BOI at all cost. He giving us the Secret Sauce, Pause.
I’m thinking about going to landstar make a video the process.. how’s that hazmat test and any other test they make you do..
any info will be greatly appreciated
I think you left us at a great time. We’re not getting preplanned on loads at all right now, only the chosen favorites are getting consistent loads.
Only the chosen Favorites are getting Loads 😳😂😂😂😂😂
How do you become a chosen favorite?
Thanks for documenting your journey. You are creating realistic path for others to follow. Much appreciated
Excellent review! I want content. Not entertainment.
Thank you.
More to come!
Are you serious ? 34000 for the entire year , that's what it sounds like . I made a few thousand less than that 23 years ago when I started with Swift working at .26 a mile . I made that much working for a mail contractor in 5 and a half months . I guess that would be okay if you didn't have rent or a mortgage .
Lol I started at .26 a mile with swift in 2005 lol
How long was your lease there
Knight went down hill when they merged with Swift, they have some goons running it now. $30k a year to work 7 days a week 12 hour days. You would make more if you put those hours in a McDonalds for minimum wage and be home every night
Did you get $300 a week during cdl training?
Dont ever park on the side of the road unless your broken down at Landstar.
Same Policy knight Has . “Sitting duck”
How much they pay as company driver
Wear the suspenders allllllllll the time. It's classy! I will keep commenting 🤣
What year was your truck and how many miles did it have on it when you started your lease? What ended up being the total cost of the truck when you paid off your lease?
It had 110k miles but it was a port truck. So high idle time and the port trucks are not treated delicately. Idle time was closer to a truck with 200k for reference. Total cost was 61k
What’s the difference between an O/O vs. lease driver monthly insurance for someone like you just getting started? I had one guy tell me insurance would run $2k per month? That seemed insane. You mind sharing that number. Thx.
This is very relevant to my interests also
That's for guys with their own authority. If you are leased onto a company you don't have to pay that. It's the main benefit of leasing on. If I had my own authority it would be about 2k though. Since I leased to landstar/knight, I don't pay that.
😂😂😂i know thats right bro, my man made it out tha door n now he keepim it funky for tha fans😂😂😂💀💀 he knows he cudnt take a chance of them playn with his money.
So get your CDL get a truck and get out...copy that driver.
Will they allow you to pay for the truck cash in knight?, I work here and thought about leasing and have the money to pay for one cash to save the Interest and not worry about payments would they let you do that?
Yes you can purchase a truck from their dealership. The dealership is a... well dealership that sells to the public. When i chose my lease I picked a truck that was going to the dealer and just started leasing it. But mind you at that point your not really a Lease operator. I would say at that point you are O/O who is leased to a carrier.
How did you do in the WSOP?
Think I ended up losing a little last year. Nothing huge. Hopefully I do better this year
Any Landstar updates?
Coming... Very busy last couple weeks.
where is the update videos?
Coming.. Fell behind
If you can’t buy outright you shouldn’t lease.
How do you only get 1000 miles in a whole week? That's about a day and a half of driving in a week. Wow, freight that low?
I’m not with knight but i am with another large company on a dedicated account. I’m averaging 15-1800 a week on a good week. Very few queued preplans. The market right now is very poor. Is a big reason I haven’t jumped into my own truck as of yet.
Freight been bad last few weeks
@JJBinkers yeah, I run dedicated too. Last week 4200 miles, this week 3000
It sounds like You made 71 CPM and You got a 200K truck if You get to own the truck.
All truck drivers do is complain.
Tell the truth knight fired you.
Right because I have friends making 2400 a week at knight on dedicated accounts
@@Glockboyzay”dedicated” is the key a lot of the people who get those routes were favorites. They had to eat shit and make 45-50k a year until they earned they respect
Microphone sucks.
Ya I had to idle the truck cause it was hot. Interfered with sound. Need to get better equipment.
You should really come forward and tell everyone that you have money from other things...YOU DRIVE TRUCK AS A HOBBY. please tell everyone the truth. if the ONLY negative is the money.!!!.....Then why do you do it? And how were you able to take off some many days ...and 2 weeks (or more) to play poker? That's NOT NORMAL TRUCK DRIVER behavior. Nope. Im not a hater at all. I own my truck becasue I won some lottery money a few years back. I dont give two shits about the pay...I love the open road. But I tell folks the truth. I can take off and fly to the Cayman Islands anytime I want. But more folks CARE ABOUT THE PAY. ITS REAL. SO please show the team, whats really going on. C'mon man....One last comment....I m really tired of staring at your mug for half the video. ..You can just narrate over some cool driving shots. You do a great job at editing and such. For many of us, it IS THE ENTERTAINMENT factor!!! So stop "trying" your hardest to blow us off. Do better, Be truthful. And Good Luck in Vegas!!!!
Wow...took off multiple weeks to play poker...Hmm...I knew you had money other than trucking pay. There are few of you guys on the YT. Not an issue at all. I just wish you would be 1000% up front with ALL the info. You also took tons of time off for other things, which is great! ,....but that is NOT realistic for 99% of drivers. Eithe they cant afford it or...the company will not tolerate such bs. So...come clean and tell us all about you. For example, according to you own, "cash flow"....more widely known as NET INCOME, there is no way you could have paid off the truck early. So, again, another reason I think, I assert, that you have plenty of cash on hand. And Not from truck driving. Do you have a poker channel?? I would love to see what you think about making money at Poker. My gut tells me you do okay! Good luck w Landstar. I have heard for years they are a great outfit for O/Os.
I retired from knight in may 2020 as a lease driver and my tske home was between $2100 @ $2600 a week. I dont know why you would not bel doing the same.
Why you did only 123 days out of 365.thats not 6 months then you show gross of 52 weeks. Well didnt work 52 weeks
Better than .40 cpm at Schneider!🫣
