Get to know everything mechanically about your truck spare fuel filters and tools will be important. Good luck and be safe. Fuel economy and being able to do routine maintenance yourself will be the difference. Being an O/O is a tough business.

I'm continuing the spreadsheet as if I were still leasing. I own it now but I don't want to start a whole new spreadsheet for like two weeks of O/O work. Wouldn't make sense.

This has to be satire. 71cpm as a lease-op is not more than a company driver. You are 1099. Company is W-2. You are going to feel the pain at tax time. Company has benefits, health insurance, PTO, bonus, 401k matching, sick time, the list goes on. You have exactly none of those things. In order to make leasing viable, the pay has to be significantly higher than 71cpm after expenses. I make more per mile as a company driver than you do as a lease-op. And I run dedicated for Swift, one of the shittiest companies out there. You deserve better. Hopefully Landstar works out. Or you might hit it big at WSOP and this whole thing will be moot, anyway.
Swift dedicated over .70cpm I really doubt that, they sell you a dedicated run with the guaranteed of miles run, I really really think is a LIE of .70cpm 😂
@@luismercado3015 I run dedicated port so I get port pay for every movement on top of my mileage pay which is .63. With port pay, my mileage pay averages out to over $1 per mile.

I use Shotcut for editing. I'm certainly not expert though. I just use a google pixel 7 for filming.... Really nothing special. Not much to it. The phone is just in landscape mode when in filming.
Local fedex freight driver here I work mon-fri banker hrs and cleared 90k not including benefits...... well over 100k after benefits. Stop chasing your tail out there bro and find a good local job.

It is not. I pay that separate. I don't go into taxes because there is way too many factors that each individual needs to account for. My tax burden is different form yours.

@@truckingthesevenseas that’s understandable but you are adding $450 to your cost that isn’t there. I’m not that familiar with spreadsheets. Is it really that difficult to delete a line item?

landstar is notorious for taking 6 weeks or longer to get u aproved for orientation. also tha orientatiom aint bad then theres a simple hazmat test u have to take but heres a pro tip. u will make more money doing drop and hook at landstar specially in this market....
