Also we have to slide tandems back to keep the trailers from hitting each other when they're parked back to back.If they're slid forward drivers tend to back all the way back till the wheels hit the curb,the overhang will run into the trailer behind it 👍🏻
That makes sense. Theres only one Amazon location Ive seen so far that slides the tandems to the rear.

That is a very good point regarding the price of trucks right now.... inflated because 2021 saw record frieght rates and volume, and manufacturers had delays in producing new trucks. Bide your time... you'll find better prices on used trucks as things get back to normal.

I'm on the Transportation Team at Amazon,a lot of times it's Amazon employees that come out and cherry pick the freight and cut the seals,they don't give a shit about owner operators and throw em on the ground,most drivers just drop the loaded trailers and the lazy hostler drivers also will cut them when they put the loaded trailers in the inbound dock,I have a disposable bucket on my hostler I put them in,but most are lazy and throw that shit on the ground

Rates were a lot higher back in December. Imagine all those buying their overpriced trucks right now. High diesel price is not helping either

That’s actually the direction I’m looking into. My insurance doesn’t cover flatbed so I have to shop around.
They are making so much money that the cost of tire replacement doesn't matter to them.
