0:37 I know how they record all of their vocals...first, its 3 of them on each part then they record 3 more which makes 6 vocals, then add 3 more after that, so there is about 9 vocals for each part! They just kept doubling and trippling every single harmony, until they reach the sound that they want...Freddie was also the one who helped mix their own vocals, its all so simple if you just close your eyes and pay close attention you will actually be able to pick out the different parts, sometimes if you play it slow you can hear some of the vocals that way!
Marcus Criscola The only problem with those amazing studio techniques was that they couldn’t reproduce the trademark choir sound live, they still sounded phenomenal nonetheless
I think that if you know that about somebody to love or other queen songs as bohemian rhapsody because you found their stems, could you please tell me where did you find the stems of somebody to love plz ?
Man, how these guys voices combine. I could listen to just these types of tracks and be perfectly happy, but of course the whole is greater than the sum of the parts when we're talking about Queen!
If you listen for the deep voice, I think it may have been John cause he did sing a little bit of backing vocals. Kinda interesting to imagine what it would have been like if he sang lead vocals sometimes!
And ironically, most of it is in metal, check out endarkenment by anaal nathrakh (old Irish for serpent breath, get your mind out of the gutter) this guy can do clean singing that in my opinion, rivals Freddie Mercury, and screaming that can make Satan fear for his life. But if you just want to hear the singing, go to 0:46 in the song.
The mixing of Queen vocals has always been masterful. The voices seem to be "smeared" or "glued" together, so as not to hear each vocal separately, but as one huge voice singing in harmony.

@96mychale it's freddie's low range I think only he could reach that low notes on Queen Bohemian Rhapsody also has some awesome low notes from Freddie (at the opera part)
Roger = High
Freddie = Medium
Brian = Low
John = Silence
Lmao silence
oof
He does sing in some songs actually! :)
Also Brian sings medium as well :)
Roger: High and Falsetto
Freddie: High, Low and Tenor
Brian: In the middle Tenor
John: Bass player therefore he just hums very low but quiet.

Yes!! I couldnt believe it when I found out, a friend of mine told me it was his voice and I was like "no waaay, that sounds like a guitar :o"
there is a vocal note sung by roger taylor that I always believed that was an electric guitar note!
