Thank you for making this. It would be great to list the ingredients and how to's in your description. I jotted down what you said: 8 oz ricotta cheese 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese 1-2 Tsp. Italian seasoning Salt & Pepper to taste 1 egg, beaten Mix together, then top with: 1/2 cup marinara sauce 1/2 c. mozzarella cheese Put mixture into greased baking dish (a loaf pan works well) (grease with spray if available) and Bake at 450° for 20 min.
I was so grateful for putting the ingredient list, I measured everything out, started watching the video, started mixing initial ingredients, pressed pause, got caught up and mixed everything together. 🤦🏼♀️ I didn't waste it, it's in the oven now. IDGAF I'll let you know how it turns out
I just made this recipe. It’s so good. I had gastric bypass 5 weeks ago. I wish I could have found the part skim ricotta when I was on my purée diet. But I’m still eating a lot of soft, puréed foods because it just is easier. So glad I found this
You can't be serious 😮! This TWO CUPS OF CHEESE! Perfect for clogging up the 'ol intestines 😢. - It's OK to have a little cheese.....but this is ridiculous 😂
Omg. Thank you! I am currently on a keto diet. I used this recipe, but just added ground meat to the marinara sauce... AMAZING. I made a few changes, but it was still great. Thanks for sharing ☺️
I've just made this. However, I added 2 cups of cooked pasta shells on the bottom of the baking dish before adding the ricotta mixture. This was just to try it since I don't usually have problems eating pasta - well, at least not yet! It's quite tasty and I'll probably share it with my hubby...Thanks for sharing this recipe with me and everyone else here! :)
This is the same way I prepare Ricotta to stuff shells or make lasagne! Never thought of doing this as a meal. :) Great idea! It's in the oven now...can't wait to eat it.

Thanks for sharing l pureed 1/4 cup of ground turkey into the marinara sauce. Used too much of the ricotta in the beginning so now i don't know if the egg was enough so after i mixed everything all up i measured 8 oz of mixture plus 1oz to account for the parmesean and only used that to bake with and saved the remainder for another day however I wasnt sure if I should add more egg because I'd the mess up. Anyways i didn't and now it's done. It looks beautiful. Ive never had this so im not sure what to eggspect lol. Fingers crossed. Here's to protein dishes and weight loss dreams. Btw im 3 years post op. Reached goal. Doing pouch reset to get back on track due to some slight gains so i'm on purees and was looking to try something different.
I’m 12 days post op can I have this?! They say I have to wait 20 days before but I’m like that’s dumb, I’ve already had egg whites scrambled with cheese n my stomach loves it
KInd of like lasagna without the pasta. Since it's all I had in the house I used Rao's Pizza Sauce, and it tastes fine. I plan to make more, since this fits my KETO diet.
One comment - skim or low fat cheese is not healthier. We need more fat in our diets not less, sugar is the culprit not fat. Your arteries get clogged by cholesterol because the cholesterol is there to repair the damage. You keep eating foods that prompt an inflammatory response and your body will make even more cholesterol to repair the damage. This is like blaming firemen for always being present when there's a fire.
I think it’s a mini bread pan because I just made this with a regular bread pan and it didn’t even come up a quarter of the way. Still delicious just thinner than I would have liked
I personally felt that it was already very eggy. But I do not like eggs. Eggs are very good for you. So if you like eggs, i would go ahead and try adding another egg. I bet it will still be yummy
Your statement is all over the place. In a bariatric diet, it is a high protein, low fat, low carb lifestyle. Also, low fat is not equivalent to no fat/fat free.
@@elcamp3 bariatric meaning you paid a foreigner to gut you like a fish, cut open your abdomen, remove part of your stomach required for absorbing vitamins and minerals because you couldn’t regulate your intake of food and got big and fat? Food is a drug. You don’t need to be sliced and mutilated. You need community. A people. Like most drug addicts, you turned to filling a lack of community and purpose with a drug. In this case the drug was glucose, carb, albumen and lipids. Make no mistake, these food drugs are as addictive as any narcotic.
@@andoriannationalist3738 What the hell are you on? There is so many things wrong with your paragraph, I don't even know where to begin. First off, during bariatric surgery, they operate larpascopically. It means super tiny incisions. They don't cut you open or 'gut' you like a fish. Secondly, your stomach doesn't absorb vitamins or minerals. Your stomach breaks down food and it is your small intestines that absorb vitamins and minerals. Third, you are blaming people for their addiction, calling them out and then saying that they need a community. Most, if not all bariatric programs teach the individuals how to regulate their food/drink intake before they ever go under the knife. They also support them for the next two years with regular appointments and support groups. Fourth, I live in the US and I had a doctor from the US perform my surgery, so no foreigner here. I think from now on you should do some research before speaking falsehoods.
@@elcamp3 “..Gutted like a fish?!? Hmpfff! Nuh uhhh!...before one ever goes under the knife..” lol. Really? Well, I would follow whatever your DR said. I was never told no tomato and this recipe was approved by my surgeon and dietician. I would ask your DR. about Alfredo. I was told a HUGE no on cream sauces because the fat content. Didn't matter to me because I am allergic to Alfredo sauce. Doctors tend to have many different opinions on what is and is not ok. You can make a keto egg noodles, the recipe is simple and you use it in place of your noodles.
Look up on RUclips:
Papa G keto lasagna with egg noodles.
I would have had to add meat too. I'm going to try it
I'm making this tonight too, and adding ground turkey to boost protein
I have Gastroparesis (stomach paralysis) and need to eat soft foods. Just made this and it looks soooo good! Thank you for sharing it.

That looks amazing!
Does this recipe work without pare San cheese???
Can I make this without the marinara? Tomato sauce is too acidic for me
o m g that looks delish ty
I added turkey bacon And spinach
Can I mix some spinach in also. That's a lot of cheese
I was just about to say spinach on top of ricotta before sauce...yum
Yummy
Would love to know what size pan you used.
Me to, looks like a very small loaf tin in the video
Looks like 8-9 in pan you would use for banana bread or meatloaf
What size pan did you use?
missjerusha79 it's a bread loaf pan
Thats a bread pan
I think it’s a mini bread pan because I just made this with a regular bread pan and it didn’t even come up a quarter of the way. Still delicious just thinner than I would have liked
Its a mini bread loaf pan. Its a very small amount compared to what most are used to making :)
Megan Kujath I thought it looked small
Is that a meatloaf pan???
This would go good with some boiled cauliflower in the dish. I guess you can just put it on the side, don't fix what is not broken.
Would it be bad to add an extra egg, or would that ruin the texture?
I personally felt that it was already very eggy. But I do not like eggs. Eggs are very good for you. So if you like eggs, i would go ahead and try adding another egg. I bet it will still be yummy
If you were doubling the recipe add 2
