I mean, she's obviously on HGH (growth hormone). I would guess that this keeps her skin firm and fights most of the wrinkles. Also prevents muscle loss that comes with age
@@RyubearSaysGao I disagree. I don't see any evidence that she's on HGH. On the contrary, e. Do you have any evidence to back your claims? I'm assuming you're not counting her muscle mass as evidence because you're aware that female bodybuilders in the early 80's looked like this even though HGH wasn't available at all until 1985, right?
It just goes to show that Olympic lifting gives you EXTREME power, but CrossFit makes you versatile and an overall athlete.💪🏽 I love Mattie’s personality, but I’m rooting for my girl Brooke! Side note: DLB is hilarious
Also,,, can we just talk about the disadvantage this short little power lifter is at with a the jumps and sprints? Lol they should have picked a more comparable power lifter for this. Imo
With sprints yes, with jumps, not so much. I had a friend at school ( 7 or 8 inches shorter than me ). In the long jump, I jumped 9", he jumped 10'3" ( we both trained soccer/football at the time ).What I'm saying- it's the power of the jump, not the height of the person. As for the high jump, they subtracted their longest reach. So, again, the power of a jump.
milan ivosevic exactly, there is no disadvantage. Everyone saying there is doesn’t know what they’re talking about bc how fast you are is based on your training. There are pros and cons with being short and with being tall. Some of the best sprinters are short.
Thats what im saying! She hardly had a fair shot comparative. Even in actually running if you run a slower time your in a different race of competitors for the same distance. And the only thing that was fair was the first one where they measured to the individual height. But besides rhat it wasnt compared to her height so she started at a disadvantage
I love Dana! She has such a vibrant personality, and she's kind enough to teach the girls instead of taking advantage of them not knowing how to pose 💖
Feels like she has just no innate athletic ability. Or maybe she just hasn't done any of these things ever and the other girls have. But with every one of these tests so far, it looks like she just doesn't know what to do with her body, at all. Not to take anything away from her as an accomplished powerlifter or her great personality. Just saying she looks like a fish out of the water, the entire time ^^
@Caleb Garcia Most likely true. If mattie had tried in the deadlift it might've been closer. But cant blame her for not considering shes in contention for the Olympics.
What happens if she does dethrone Brooks? Well, that would mean both the male and female Olympic lifters would have won. If that happens, I know why I'll be going back to the gym for the first time in a generation.

The reason everyone is surprised is because so many local boxes are just poorly run. I hope they can figure out a way to improve the level of training at that lower level.
Jack of all trades master of none. All this comp is about is accumulation of points.
Enigmatic Engineer the full phrase is “jack of all trades master of none, but still better than a master of one”
Well last time the olympic lifter one, but he was an actual, official olympian, so he was a world-class athlete.
@@zackbop9045 That's a relatively recent addition to the phrase
better than mukbangs and kardashians. i'm subbing! 😍
Props to the cameraman who sprinted alongside the ladies
I must say I absolutely love the series, I don’t care much who win or lose, all 4 women with different back ground have open minded for different kind of fitness and they are not afraid to lose in front of the world, BiG up for all of them ! Bravo 👏🏻
These women are such an inspiration and I love how this series shows how down to earth they are! Hopefully I can be as strong as them one day!
Yeah, tons of testosterone all over the place!!
Man... I just tried posing and it’s hard!! It’s kinda like a mini workout lol. Much respect to DLB and all the bodybuilders 💯
nakea simone girl it’s sooo hard! Lol you will be sweating and breathing hard just hold it lmao
Watched these series when it first came out and I still come back to it every now and then... we need a new series!!!! :)
Maddy has the best leg on my eyes ♥
💯
How my thighs are, I’m 5’1 too...girls like us tend to bulk in our legs.
@Frank Burjan No, I dance and did some weight training. Honestly, it’s genetics 🤷🏾♀️
@Frank Burjan Yes, definitely done that. I’ve never maxed my squat or deadlift, but I know my highest deadlift as of yet was 205. Not the most impressive but I’ve only started getting into it. I really admire Maddy! ❤️✨
@Frank Burjan That’s pounds.
Lol Mattie Rogers got me dying
Dana Lynn is more than a decade older than the younger ones
The testosterone keeps her young.
Kicks ass even more though. The woman’s a badass.
ProfessorRae Yeah. It she has an advantage from all the biCYCLING she’s down
I mean, she's obviously on HGH (growth hormone).
It just goes to show that Olympic lifting gives you EXTREME power, but CrossFit makes you versatile and an overall athlete.💪🏽
I love Mattie’s personality, but I’m rooting for my girl Brooke!
Side note: DLB is hilarious
Brooke also did every sport under the sun, even before CrossFit. Including softball and bodybuilding I think.
@@milanivosevic4771 short sprints like that being shorter is an advantage
@@volaqgaming You may be right. But in the end, it all depends on the person.
milan ivosevic exactly, there is no disadvantage. Everyone saying there is doesn’t know what they’re talking about bc how fast you are is based on your training. There are pros and cons with being short and with being tall. Some of the best sprinters are short.
Haleigh Munson I totally agree I guess megsquats could be a good fit. I must say Maddy is a beast 💪🏼
I love how they're all helping each other and giving tips even though they're competing against each other
That tiny woman didn't have a fair shot lol
Thats what im saying! She hardly had a fair shot comparative. Even in actually running if you run a slower time your in a different race of competitors for the same distance. And the only thing that was fair was the first one where they measured to the individual height. But besides rhat it wasnt compared to her height so she started at a disadvantage
She had an advantage on the first round
Exactly. She jumped way further than the rest 😞😞
She had the best ass though
Yup the actual legs are shorter lol. Can’t grow height!
Really love all 4 women but mattie is in another level
Definitely one of my favorite series on RUclips. Love dlbs laugh 😂
I love Dana! She has such a vibrant personality, and she's kind enough to teach the girls instead of taking advantage of them not knowing how to pose 💖
Mattie is truly an inspirational person. And so are the rest. But she is the most relatable.
I would love to see a series of this with non-professionals... I volunteer as tribute.
damn maddy's just getting murdered in these 😭
Feels like she has just no innate athletic ability. Or maybe she just hasn't done any of these things ever and the other girls have.
But with every one of these tests so far, it looks like she just doesn't know what to do with her body, at all.
Not to take anything away from her as an accomplished powerlifter or her great personality. Just saying she looks like a fish out of the water, the entire time ^^
Its funny because powerlifters always say bodybuilding is impractical. "Atleast powerlifting is useful. Bodybuilding just makes you look good." Lmfao
I am pretty sure the powerlifters ended up last in both the male and female competition lmao.
@@MellonVegan Bro have you seen the length of her legs lmao she's built like a fucking lord of the rings dwarf how is she gonna outsprint people
@@LucasKoe790 Yeah, I know. But apart from that, take her jumps, for example. She just hopped, looking like she's not jumped once in her life.
I'm praying that Mattie can dethrone Brooks. Weightlifting for the win!
I think it’ll end how it’s been. Brook, DLB, Mattie, Maddie.
Even if she doesn't, she'll probably age more gracefully than some of her opponents
Brooke’s got it
@Caleb Garcia Most likely true.
As a girl with defined muscles, this is so fun to watch!!
I so wanna hang out with DLB! She seems so awesome.
