women can bulk, it just takes longer depending on the woman. Some women (like my wife) keep fat off easily and naturally because she has a little more testosterone that the avg. woman. Shes skinny, (and doesn't work out for bulk) because she builds muscle definition easily. Like, terrible diet and all. Then our friend (who competes in bikini contest at bodybuilding contest) has a harder time building muscle (skinny fat before she competed). Women don't have the same testosterone level as men do, but some have higher levels than other females. It depends on the Gene's really. Now I'm talking about natural women. Drug induced bulk is a different story.
I literally aspire to be like these women. This is why I go to the gym everyday. So I can train hard, lose the extra weight and gain the confidence to join a Powerlifting/Weight lifting group!

Bodybuilder-muscles are for show, not strength or endurance. I've seen many injuries with their type of training. Weightlifter and Powerlifter-training for strength and some endurance. These two are more "respectful" of proper technique compared to crossfit athletes. Crossfit athlete-endurance and strength. I've seen some of the worst types of injuries stemming from the unorthodox training and disregard for form in crossfit, looks exciting but I'd like to keep my knees, elbows and shoulder joints past my 50s.
basically Bodybuilding is about your physique and how well you can pull off poses. Weightlifting focuses on mainly on "snatch" and the "clean and jerk" with a huge emphasis on form. Powerlifting focuses on the bench, squat and deadlift with good form to lift maximum weight as you're able to. Crossfit focuses on mainly injuring yourself and a total disregard to form and how you can lift heavy ass weigh for reps in as little time as possible. I'd recommend avoiding CrossFit as much as you can and if you hear it helps with endurance just do cardio instead or HIIT workouts.

I respect her. I respect the dedication it takes, and how far she got. I just don't respect CrossFit as a discipline, because it's dangerous, and not good for gaining fitness. It's great to see women testing their limits and giving their all. Training oneself to get to where they are is a difficult task. Kudos to them and keep up the amazing work!
As a trainer, its best for all parties involved to operate with full transparency. "Hey, I do crossfit, it's really hard on my body, I got injured, but I love it." No harm in that, just know what you're getting in to. Or, "Hell yes, I take enhancers, I mean look at me!" Just be real, dont tell people its chicken & broccoli 5x/day.
As a trainer, who is lightyears away from the expert level of these athletes, you need to come to terms with the fact that some people thrive and others struggle. I wish I could comment something inspirational about how muscular women are beautiful and just as feminine as non muscular ladies but the only thing I could think of while watching this video was how gay I am.
@@aidanM92 I mean, if that's how you want to look at it, then yes. The traditional idea of femininity doesn't mean anything anymore. Concepts tipically recognized as "feminine" and "masculine" are being deconstructed and transformed to the point where they are now obsolete when applied globally. Femininity for some means grace and fragility, for others (like these women) it means strength and perseverance. We're at a point in time were these ideas now mean whatever we want them to mean on a personal level. Maybe you don't agree and that's fine but, to me, these women are just as feminine as non muscular women because you and I probably have different ideas of what "feminine" means/can mean.
@@feni8000 tolerance and open mindedness only last for so long... you can keep "deconstructing" and labeling everthing you dont like as a social construct but the animal in us will always come out. It just takes enough young MEN to get angry and then it all goes back to primal human nature.
@@aidanM92 If that's what you think, then cool. Evidently, I don't agree with that mindset. I think humans and, subsequently, human paradigms such as the idea of femininity and masculinity, shift and transform over time as long as we exist within a civilised society in which we share a general consensus over whats socially acceptable at a given point in time, but that's my personal take on it. You can believe whatever you want, man, I'm not interested in nor did I meant to start a debate on the topic.
These videos for me are amazing. It makes me wanna work harder on myself and never give up. I’m a bodybuilder beginner, yes. A female who lifts. I want people so see me “wow, she’s breaking stereotypes “ that’s one of the reasons why I love doing what I do. I make others being interested in what I do. I make people (especially guys) realize that a woman weightlifting is just as equal as a man weightlifting. After all no one isn’t born being (muscular ) . My main reason to why I’m working out is because I’ve been really skinny all my life. I’ve been lifting for about a year now, and can’t explain how happy I am with my results. I’ve gained weight and look healthier. If I can do it, you can do it ! Love you, I believe in you!
sh4rk sh4d0w ok did you read the whole thing? No one isn’t born being ripped as fuck. So telling women it’s WEIRD when they lift is dumb because guys aren’t coming outta the womb lookin muscular haha
Its not a stereotype that woman arent as big as man its baisic biology we have a higher level of testosterone naturally predoced in order to build muscle (mass in general) you need a high amount of testosterone Btw i started working out like 5 mounthes ago and im already pretty close to their size (but i am probably heavier than them ) (and they probably workout for like 5 years) Woman are smaller than man i can bring my gym trainer (220lbs 100 kg 6 feet 4 192cm) he works out for 4 years and you can bring any female you want that is hes hight and worksout for the same amount of time that he does and youll see that hes bigger ( and dont worry he didnt took any steroids i can confirm in my contry and my city steroids aren that available ,and hes against steroids ) in short man are bigger than woman

I hope that brooke will come back to the competition stage stronger and better than ever. :) All the best to all four athletes :)
This little girl is so cute! She's hanging with the professional athletes like "I played soccor when i was 8 too!" and she's 9. I love her! She has a really good start to a fit life if not a professional career!
I fell in love with weight lifting as soon as I got into high school. I noticed myself gaining muscle and knew I would never stop. Now I graduate this year and need to find somewhere to keep building my body up and hope that I fit in somewhere.
Yes. Strongman competitors are known for their agility, jumping and running ability. :) Just kidding, kind of. The problem would just be a slightly more obvious version of the one they have here. The two weight lifters are specialists. You can try to set up a competition as fairly as you like, but everyone's going to pretty much excel in their specialty. In the case of the physique competitor, it will be her ability to look in the mirror and tan. Some might say that the CFer will be a little better at running, jumping and suffering injury. We'll never come up with an honest way of comparing them across the board unless maybe we devise something that involves none of their specialties.
I fully agree with Dana!! It’s best to combine different training methods depending on your goal. I love combining bodybuilding and powerlifting. Also doing sprints for conditioning workouts to increase my speed.
every time I see any content with Dana Linn Bailey...whether interview or workout vid .....I immediately feel like working out ..talk about motivating ...
Cathy He's implying they are not women because they have a higher test lvl than any natty man. He's not really wrong, on an hormonal level they're definitely not on the same level as regular women (or even human)

- people making jokes about crossfitting and injuries

Did you expect comments like: "this is my favorite recipe!", "I disagree with their political views". Hello, it's about hot women with big muscles who also have injuries lol

I love how being gay and bisexual is in a different category to complimenting women...
Great series. Wish Stefi Cohen could have been competing in this.
Agreed that's one strong girl
She's even good at olylifting. She must have crushed all the other girls.
I think they picked these athletes because they’re all drug tested

All of these ladies have come SO FAR since this program. They have all excelled in their fields. So proud of them like a Daddy. Mattie Rogers just won 2021 Nationals!
I started following Mattie Rogers through this series, and it's been so exciting seeing her get to the olympics!
No way.....a Crossfit athlete with shoulder injuries? Impossibru!
anyone who does this for a living will regret it when they get older, the joint degradation when you are 50+yrs old will make you wish you didn't do it
CrossFit and athlete shouldn’t be in the same sentence.

Wow a lot of hate on Brooke...just chill, watch, and be entertained! No need for all the judgement
It's just cus of crossfit haha. I doubt she'd get the hate otherwise.
It’s not the CrossFit, it’s the steroids for Brooke.
Coz she's on steroids💯

Great series ! How do you not love Mattie Rogers! Also, keep your funny comments away for Brooke, yes she had injury but she has achieved more than a lot of us, so show some respect ✊
Yanglin Luo true that
I respect her. I respect the dedication it takes, and how far she got. I just don't respect CrossFit as a discipline, because it's dangerous, and not good for gaining fitness. I think there might be some athletes already at peak physique that can do it with lesser risk of major injury, but it is absolutely not for someone looking to get fit.
They look AMAZING. Some of y’all in the comments are wild lol.
Mattie's laugh gave me life

My bet is DLB wins. She’s dabbled in powerlifting, does bodybuilding , has done cross training for the ninja warrior and she plays soccer. She’s super well rounded
i mean she has an advantage with all the steroids but prob still wont win
Brooke won
Despite what some say, I think amazing women were chosen for this. I am so excited!!
these are the TOP of the TOP, the men's one was like 6th place and 4th place and 2nd place... in their respective sports. this is gonna be great to see.
Nicholas Schultz the men were also on a whole other caliber than these women. These steroid-festering trash bags won’t perform that well anyways; especially the plastic one- Brooke. Mattie is the only likable one, tbh
Dana Lin is so awesome I have been following her on social media for years and she is such an inspiration
All these girls are beautiful, but Dana is hilarious! "I feel like I smell like somebody else's fart!"😅
@Sami it's all about preference 🤷🏻♀️ i personally think they look stunning!! they've put in a lot of work to get to the bodies they have as well. much respect for these ladies 💪🏼💛

@Sami i-i.. not a gay lol but I love these girl mentality, personality and physically? haha I just love em all lmao
These women look amazing! Chiseled! Absolutely stunning! So powerful!
Why did Brooke Ence get picked? She is coming off an injury and won't perform her best.
Yeah. I just think its not fair. You have a champ in Mattie. But brooke is barely a regional athlete. They could have picked so many top crossfit women. But guess name recognition maybe. 2015 is a long way away
@Terrence Odonnell yeah. Just seems like they found 3 at top of their fields. Or close. Brooke doesnt really fit the bill anymore. Just wanted level playing field. And she is recovering from injuries. Hope she doesnt get hurt and does well
Following. Pretty well-known name. SEO.
@@andrewchartrand3255 Barely a regional athlete is not an easy thing to do in itself. Ence is a machine.
Probably because Marston Sawyers (her husband) is involved in the project as he's filming the whole thing
A re-match is *longgggg* overdue! Bring us back these queens!!
It's great to see women testing their limits and giving their all. Training oneself to get to where they are is a difficult task. Kudos to them and keep up the amazing work!
I find it offputting that they chose a competitor for this series that is still recovering from an injury.
She can probably still do way more that you could ever dream of, even with that injury.
They prolly couldn’t find any crossfitter who wasn’t recovering from an injury
Problem is everyone that does CrossFit has injuries

As a trainer, its best for all parties involved to operate with full transparency. "Hey, I do crossfit, it's really hard on my body, I got injured, but I love it." No harm in that, just know what you're getting in to. Or, "Hell yes, I take enhancers, I mean look at me!" Just be real, dont tell people its chicken & broccoli 5x/day.
i agree all the way
As a trainer, who is lightyears away from the expert level of these athletes, you need to come to terms with the fact that some people thrive and others struggle. Some people are amazing, with extreme focus and diligence, and others hire second rate trainers like yourself because they can't put down the doritos. Go ahead and follow her channel then tell me if its enhancers. You just gave a synopsis of a book you didn't read.
Benjamin Wolf I need training I can only run a 1.5 mile in 10:00 flat
Steroids are illegal in the us. A lot of people forget that but they can get in serious trouble for talking about it.
Well...I am an expert, as in I have 20 years in the fitness industry under my belt and my hobby is being a professional bodybuilder, pro card in figure and masters figure and that's me in my avi...so with that said, you need to brush up how a woman looks naturally cuz NONE and I repeat NONE of these women are clean, not by a long shot. Womens bodies fill out differently when not on gear, we don't get that huge nasty neck, or 3D delts, just not genetically happening. Go to a natural bodybuilding show and see whats real. NOTHING you see on the internet is real. As a trainer you should know better, stop drinking the kool aid they sell you on IG and Boobtube, unless someone in the bodybuilding/cross fit/power lifting world SAYS they are natty than they are most def 100% NOT cuz someone who is natty will be sure you know @ @@meghanlake7525
These ladies give "train like a girl" a new and positive meaning
One of these athletes (Mattie Rogers) is randomly tested by USADA, three are not. Might want to include that part.
Crazy thing is she's so much smaller than she used to be.
B 13 Mattie is the only tested athlete lol.
B 13 for sure! No worries man. I don’t either really. I follow a bunch of bodybuilding and powerlifting and stuff. Just don’t really like it when tested and untested athletes are matched up is all!
Mike Troy false. CrossFit athletes are tested. Brooke Ence was tested when she made it to games
Taylor Sanders random testing by usada and known testing dates is like comparing an applied calculus test to a grade school addition test. It’s laughable to even count. In the words of Lance Armstrong himself, those types of ped tests are closer to being intelligence tests than actual drug tests.
I get really inspired after seeing women training and doing what they love! It’s so amazing
Love women admiring & respecting other woman. Very cool. Much strength .
It looks like that little girl just wandered in, and the Amazons took her in.😆
lol right
She needs models to choose if she wants to enter fitness, and meeting IRL athletes can do wonders
I wish I could comment something inspirational about how muscular women are beautiful and just as feminine as non muscular ladies but the only thing I could think of while watching this video was how gay I am.
LITERALLY ME. every time they showed off their muscles, i forgot anything productive i was gonna say. Useless lesbian brigade 😂😂😂
If muscularity is feminine then femininity no longer means anything... whats next, big tits are now a masculine trait?
I LOVE this series!!!! This makes me fuxking proud to be a woman and inspires me to keep pushing my limits. So awesome!
I am proud to be a human when I see videos of scientists achieving something, regardless of their gender. How we are different :)
No one isn't born? That's a double negative
sh4rk sh4d0w ok did you read the whole thing? No one isn’t born being ripped as fuck. So telling women it’s WEIRD when they lift is dumb because guys aren’t coming outta the womb lookin muscular haha
@@sabina307 it's not weird, nobody cares if you lift or not, people are too busy focusing on their own lives
Its not a stereotype that woman arent as big as man its baisic biology we have a higher level of testosterone naturally predoced in order to build muscle (mass in general) you need a high amount of testosterone
Btw i started working out like 5 mounthes ago and im already pretty close to their size (but i am probably heavier than them ) (and they probably workout for like 5 years)
Woman are smaller than man i can bring my gym trainer (220lbs 100 kg 6 feet 4 192cm) he works out for 4 years and you can bring any female you want that is hes hight and worksout for the same amount of time that he does and youll see that hes bigger ( and dont worry he didnt took any steroids i can confirm in my contry and my city steroids aren that available ,and hes against steroids ) in short man are bigger than woman
*that many women lift, it's not even a "thing" anymore*

So pumped when I saw this in my sub box. Such a good series, so well made
I fell in love with weight lifting as soon as I got into high school. I noticed myself gaining muscle and knew I would never stop. Now I graduate this year and need to find somewhere to keep building my body up and hope that I fit in somewhere.
these video series are really entertaining, but you should consider adding a strongman/woman competitor to the next installment
Kristen Graham perhaps?
Yes! Add strongman!
Honestly it would be more interesting if they swap bodybuilding with strongman.
Indian Bob collector We need Charity Witt
