I’m 65 and recently started working out again thanks to retirement. I need to avoid rotator cuff surgery so I’m eager to watch your videos and workout w best form. Thanks!!!
I’ve been training for like 3 years non stop now and I have seen results, but in the last 2 months or so that I’ve been following Jeff’s advice, the results have been far greater and more noticeable than ever! These videos aren’t JUST good, they’re AWESOME!
Tried workin out before i the past, never much as far as growth. 2.5 months with his videos, 8lbs of muscle. Shit is golden. Everyone of his videos are valuable enough to charge money for.
That little info about working out with your muscle's direction in mind is making it so easy to find workouts for what I want now. I try the work out for a couple seconds, if it's not working the direction/muscles I want, try another!
I was looking for ways to target my lower chest, and I've asked many trainers for the same. But no one can tell me properly how to do that..This is the first video I have seen which actually helped me do that. Thank you❤️
I started working out in 1968 and I never knew this! So now, in my old age, I'm going to try your suggested exercises on my Bowflex, maybe even buy a dip setup! Thank you!
I'm just starting to work out and I've been doing a deep dive into your videos. What an amazing help they are. It's a life time of knowledge. Thank you
Real talk, I have incorporated a lot of the suggestions from these videos into my workout routines. And they have all worked so far. I have even changed up my rep routine--don't count the reps, make the reps count. Because of that, I have a better understanding of working out until failure. My last weight training day for the week was this past Thursday. I did every exercise machine/non-machine alike until I could no longer do them properly. It felt good, better contractions, improved form, made working out fun.
Jeff your videos have helped me so much ... I first started watching the videos about lower back pain .I have been hocked ever since . I had a accident at work 3 years ago and have a prolapsed Disc as the result . Your advice and motivation pushed me to take 3 massive steps 1.get private medical help from a Chriopractor. 2.follow your videos and use exercises that help build and strengthen my lower back . 3 .have a better diet . I started this 10th April 2022 ,I weighed 235 lbs 6ft 1 and 55 years old . With your help iam now 219lbs ,I can cycle I can now run i do not have the pain I had I look a lot better and I feel more confident. To say a simple thank you does not give you the praise I think you deserve . Richard from CIty of Leeds in the UK
My chest has always been hard for me to develop. That incline push-up with a twist is exactly what I’ve been looking for to improve my training at home during Covid!
Through dieting and weight loss, my lower chest is starting to show. This video is exactly what I needed to develop my lower chest. Thanks so much for posting this!
Yeah probably not cause if he gained upwards of 30% body fat he'd look all buffed out like most of the guys at my gym. Meh. Ill take ripped and low body fat ober a heart attack-waiting-to- happen anyday but yeah all the "boys" are about the ego lol.

Man, LOVING your videos and how detailed you get with the descriptions of your workout techniques and how the body works. I'm one of those who like to learn all the ins and outs of things and you're great at teaching it. Not just how things work but why. I'm jacked about using what I'm learning and hope I get to win one of your workouts.
Muscle markers really connect on how the muscles work. I pay more attention to my movements now. I'm seeing great results from your exercises. You explain alot better than most personal trainers. Thank you Jeff👊👊👊👊👊👏👏👏
Oskar Høgedal Lol, I actually meant to type nippard, apparently my stupid phone thinks I meant nippers, it literally puts nippers when I type nippard, that's funny
PeeJee Jansen How does Nippard put more science into it, just because he shows papers, and recites studies...let's see, a man that studied this stuff out into application(professional athletes) knows alot of these studies and papers of the top of his head, so he doesn't have to show you the different studies, he has studied it, he has proven it from yrs of working with professional athletes...nippard is outstanding, but to me doesn't bring more science, he brings others science...still a great channel though, because he took the time to research, not just throw out BS
ive been doing a home workout for a while and i have only been feeling the top of my chest when i work it and this video really helped making me understand how to work the lower part of the chest. Thanks for the help.
DOPE video dude. I’ve been working my ass of trying to get my chest together and the most stubborn part has been my lower chest - I had no idea other than blaming my age (40). I wasn’t doing ANY of these exercises. Awesome man!
Thank you for making this video. I am 51 and have issues with my rotator cuffs. I've torn both 4 times each and have limited strength in my shoulders. I am in excellent physical shape because of my training with light weights. The only loose skin/body fat that has been an issue for me is in this targeted area. Other than that, I am at 17% body fat. The exercises you show are going to be a great help to me. I am positive I'll be able to do 3 of them without issue with my shoulders.
I’m carbon copy of you by sounds of it, same age, same problems with shoulders , and even similar body fat%. Bought some dip bars and Been doing dips for a couple of months now and if you dont go to low and keep the elbows tucked in you’ll get a good workout, without to much strain. I’ve stopped doing shoulder workouts as i find you just dont need them, and keeps issues with training the chest a lot lower. Also had to learn to be more patient, real hard when the brain still thinks your 31😊
If you doing the Dip Plus as shown in the video please keep your head up, tried this at gym and its only natural to force your head down and I had crazy neck pain for 2 days afterward. Learn from my mistakes.
BreakLegosaurus the 1st thing you should learn when hitting the gym is to keep your head up.. hope you get better though, neck pain can be some serious shit
Get that foam roller really high up on your traps and splenus capitis and around your neck. Most of you boys are really tight up there from all your shoulder work. 80\20 stretch to strength remember - if you're all bound up with training you've got nowhere for your hardwork to go.
It’s December right now and January is coming up. You know what that means… new year new me people crowding the gym. I’m gonna need a substitute for the incline bench press because all the benches are already being taken all day.

Jeff has muscles i dont recognize. I looked in the encyclopedia and... it appears that no one does. Jeff has muscles that no one in science has discovered yet.
just started Keto fasting, in week 2 now and just starting to see some of my very well hidden muscles, was 95.9kg (215lbs) and after 5 days dropped to 92.4kgs (203lbs) and week 2 started at 90.4kgs (199lbs) . This video was so helpful for me to start my exercises and get a defined line, as the next 14 weeks of Keto fasting strips out the body fat, I hope to use this and more videos to tone myself up. I'm 54 by the way and doing this for mental health reasons. Thanks for sharing
Keep up the great work! A low carb, whole food diet changed my life, for the better, including my mental health. I'm 43 and made the lifestyle change around 5 years ago. Began with keto and later transitioned to a generally low carb diet + regular exercise.
Thumbs up ! For Jeff ! I've seen his videos for years! I just can't believe the new negative videos they made about Athlean X. This guy, Jeff is the guru of fitness, nothimg but a dedicated and discipline man, who takes his time in every aspect of your body to help you improve yourself, nothing but honest advise. I know, I've been a fitness buff since 1969 when I was 15, I'm now 69 and a half and though you may leave fitness for a while, due to work, fitness never leaves you, if you were once a dedicated athlete. Thanks Jeff for your dedicated and honest advise, in helping anyone out there who is willing to listen.
Paul Karyakos I agree he is not very impressive I'm 6"6 250lbs and looked like him last year we had a baby I stopped training gained weight look fucked but still this guy looks like a serious bitch
Since about late 2012 early 2013 I've been watching, listening and taking your advice on target areas. Legit, real stuff. Dig the explanations and visual steps. Just wanted to say "thank you" for aaaaallll the information you've given me
99% of the population has a bulging or extruding disk? Really, man? Where did you see that? And even if that were the case, just because 99% of the population has it, it means it's serious? Makes no sense. Anyway, scoliosis is complicated, but that's just my opinion. I might be wrong. Feel free to tell people to look up the cure on RUclips.
LOL. My understanding is that athleanx is all about helping the viewer do the exercises and get past some of the problems that you might have that inhibit you from doing so. I would imagine that scoliosis could be addressed as well in another video. Unless something has changed or you're in a lot of pain, I wouldn't go straight to a physiotherapist. I can only imagine what they would charge you just for a consultation.
PowerLeef well I think you’d need a referral from your primary care physician to see them anyway so they might be able to determine whether you even need to see one or not.
Depends what you are training for. Anybody that gets a body fat reading like this guy and slings weights around will look like this. Most people prefer slighty more muscle and bulk .
I truly thank you for the HONEST information, youve helped me alot through the years when i was very young and was looking for professional guidance. Till this day(almost 10 years later) i still use your knowledge. My girlfriend studied sports and nutrition and went to her institution solely on the info i gave her and got the best bmi and muscle to fat ratio in class thanks to you.
Jeff can you do a video explaining what kind of motion actually hurts the back not just examples of how to to a squat or deadlift properly for example, using the skeleton to show when the back moves in a certain direction or angle.... that’s when injury happens. Knowing that kind of stuff is what makes me move better as I understand how to really avoid an injury, even if doin a new movement, thanks.
You deserve at least a bust statue in your neighbourhood, such a valuable person with tons of knowledge and sharing it to all of us around the world. You are a Teacher, man!
Just hope you read this!!! Man you're awesome and the best ever. Before when I still didn't come across your channel, all I did was think and postpone my workouts. I had a fractured wrist, and it was and still is difficult for me to do pushups but I still didn't give up.
Jeff likes the feeling of marker on his chest. Don't lie Jeff is true.
I was looking for ways to target my lower chest, and I've asked many trainers for the same. But no one can tell me properly how to do that..This is the first video I have seen which actually helped me do that. Thank you❤️
Man this information needs to be stored in the national archives it is a treasure 💪🏾
It's already stored right here on RUclips but good luck if the grid collapses
There's a colossal volume of content Online these days, but yours is right up there Jeff. Extremely well demonstrated and explained 🙏
I started working out in 1968 and I never knew this! So now, in my old age, I'm going to try your suggested exercises on my Bowflex, maybe even buy a dip setup! Thank you!

Update after a year ?
I love that he just straight up draws on himself to show us the anatomy of our muscles... great stuff
You have to count the reps
Forget all the other training/fitness channels. Jeff is the best

Jeff your videos have helped me so much ... I first started watching the videos about lower back pain .I have been hocked ever since .
I had a accident at work 3 years ago and have a prolapsed Disc as the result .
Your advice and motivation pushed me to take 3 massive steps
1.get private medical help from a Chriopractor.
2.follow your videos and use exercises that help build and strengthen my lower back .
3 .have a better diet .
I started this 10th April 2022 ,I weighed 235 lbs 6ft 1 and 55 years old .
With your help iam now 219lbs ,I can cycle I can now run i do not have the pain I had
I look a lot better and I feel more confident.
To say a simple thank you does not give you the praise I think you deserve .

How does Nippard put more science into it, just because he shows papers, and recites studies...let's see, a man that studied this stuff out into application(professional athletes) knows alot of these studies and papers of the top of his head, so he doesn't have to show you the different studies, he has studied it, he has proven it from yrs of working with professional athletes...nippard is outstanding, but to me doesn't bring more science, he brings others science...still a great channel though, because he took the time to research, not just throw out BS

Also had to learn to be more patient, real hard when the brain still thinks your 31😊
I love these videos, they're super helpful and useful.
Keep up the good work, I would rather take advice from you than anyone else.
Had a perfect chest...after 44 though start loosing that...i am 48 now. Hopefully will fix it with your piece of advise!

As you say Amon
Thank you for the tip...I haven't tried this one yet but will in two weeks...
I’m gonna need a substitute for the incline bench press because all the benches are already being taken all day.

just started Keto fasting, in week 2 now and just starting to see some of my very well hidden muscles, was 95.9kg (215lbs) and after 5 days dropped to 92.4kgs (203lbs) and week 2 started at 90.4kgs (199lbs) .

I know, I've been a fitness buff since 1969 when I was 15, I'm now 69 and a half and though you may leave fitness for a while, due to work, fitness never leaves you, if you were once a dedicated athlete.

Jeff, could you do a video about scoliosis and lat imbalance please?
Dude, go see a physiotherapist. Scoliosis is not something you can fix with RUclips videos.
Your content is AMAZING, bro. Really appreciate the time and effort you put into educating others.
