You saw more stuff at night because the RF lens you mentioned is brighter. Composition on modern cameras is made in wide-open aperture - it just switches to F2.8 when you press the shutter. Hope this makes sense. I mainly use Sigma 24 F1.4 for astro, so I know for sure :)
As being an M6 mark ii owner, my late discovery of your channel is one of the best things on youtube, thanks to algorithms. Better late than never...Would love to see and/or hear your suggestions for telephoto lenses with mount adapter on. Keep up the good work.
Wow! 😃 Thank you 😊🙏🏻 Really glad you find my videos interesting 😊 I am planning to do a video about the EFS 55-250mm with the M6 mark ii. Bigger and heavier full frame telephoto lenses on the tiny M6 mark ii work, but I don’t own any of those lenses right now unfortunately 😊 Maybe someday, if my channel gets big enough I’ll be able to borrow lenses like that from the manufacturer to make videos like that 😊 Thank you for watching 😊🙏🏻 I really do appreciate it 😊
@@RogerAVHansen I hope so too, it's gonna take a while to arrive, because it's on back order (aka: not a single camera shop in Malaysia has one in stock)
i guess i;m late cause lol well i have the 80d and i'' buy the 90d later on maybe by christmas. but everybody telling me about the 24-70 saying that's the best lens to buy especially the 24-70 from canon and tamron. i'm pretty good at taking pictures but i don't want the camera to do everything for me but i want to take great pictures in either manual mode or tv mode cause aperture mode is staring make my pictures at night look bad. i need to get my pictures at night time to look better. i know i need a flash and i'll buy one the godox 860 ii
Halloo..greetings from Jakarta. Nice video! I have Canon R6 and thinking to purchase this Tamron lens. May I know wheter this lens needed to be updated the firmware thru Tap-in console? And in 2023, would you still recommend this lens? Thanks!
This video is three years old by now and I don’t own this lens anymore.. but I found it working beautifully with my EOS R. It’s always a good idea to be able to update the firmware. So I would get the docking station also.
Hi can someone help me? I own this tamron 27-70 G2 with a Canon R6 Mark ii. I use the Ef-R-Controll-Ring-Adapter. I noticed, when I turn my aperture from e.g. F10 back to F2.8 (AV- and TV-Mode) the Aperture goes only very slowly down - step by step to F2.8. What can i do??
Hi! Sorry for ny late respons to your comment.. the Weebill S handles the weight of the EOS R and the lens, but it’s to small for the setup. The camera touches the arm of the gimbal if I move it around to much, if you know what I mean 😊 So now I wish Zhiyun can sponsor me with a bigger gimbal 😄
Hi I currently bought R6 and Ed-Ef adopter new and found a good condition Ef tamron 24-70 g2 canon on eBay for £650. Does the focusing work well with the R camera? Do I have to change anything on the camera settings in order for the lens to work with the camera?
Hi! I’m so envious of the R6 😄 Really want to try out that camera 😊 Congratulations on your new R6 😊 I haven’t had any problems with the focusing with my R and the Tamron lens 😊 You will need the RF to EF adapter for it to work, I have the canon adapter, and this combo works fine. You don’t have to change any settings to get it to work, but there are a lot of different focus settings, you just have to set it to what you like and find useful, like with any other lens 😊 Hope you get lots of enjoyment out of you new camera! 😊
Hello..I have the 90D and I ordered the canon EOSR..I’ve been searching to this lens two months ago and I was thinking to buy the tamron and combine it both the camera’s with..Is this lens good in low light performance?
@@marcusnartatez that's amazing to know, because after an insanely long search for a single shop in Malaysia that actually sells this lens, I placed an order on one last night for my R6 (along with a DJI Mic, for my photo and video business)
Thanks for sharing your first impressions! Have you noticed some 'wobble' on using the VC with video? In the christmas footage there is some jitter - no offense meant - just wondering what the extremes are that VC can do on this lens. - Is this just handheld jitter the VC can't take care of? - Is this the translation of the usual handheld micro jitter that the VC turns into micro-wobble? It looks more stable but is distracting in a whole other way, that's why I'm wondering.
It’s getting close to a year since I made that video, but if I remember correctly I put some stabilizer in FCPX on some of the footage, so I think the wobble you see is from that, cause I’ve not seen any wobble from the VC in video, not that I’ve taken notice of anyways 😊

Thanks Roger, I just ordered one last night (waiting to be received) for my R6, and I'm hoping I didn't make a wrong decision
It worked great on my EOS R, so hopefully it will on your R6 also 😊

How has it been so far for you..? Focusing sharpness and color..?
Please, a review on the M6 Mark II

"First impression" starts @7:45 .. love your cute black dog .. how dare the Tamron not focus on that cutie! No way I am buying this lens! :-)

One question . How can I lock the focus ring ? I keep moving it every item I grab my camera 😂
Don’t think that’s a possibility I’m afraid…
Useful but I will wait for m6 mark ii with speed booster pls,
I’ll try and make that video in the next couple of weeks 😊
C’mon ...not speddbooster only... (from a normal adapter fan ☺️😎)
@@andreaturbolz3542 if/when, I’ll have to do both adapters 😊
Will this fit a canon 90d because it says Nikon fit
You need to make sure you order the EF Canon version, the Nikon version will not fit your 90d
Some users are suffering from the dust entering from the front element. Did you experience such a thing?
Nope, not with this lens. I have experienced it with the Sigma 24-70 FE lens (for Sony)..
Would this lense be suitable for time lapse at night or late dusk from the roof of a hotel?
I believe so 😊 With an aperture of f 2,8 and the choice between 24 and 70mm focal length, this lens is a really versatile lens 😊

It’s a f/2,8 lens so it performs good in low light 😊
