You’re absolutely right about the Tamron G2 lenses. I started with the 70-200, was amazed so carried on with the 24-70. Again, another great lens. I now have the 35 1.4, the 15-30, the 90mm macro and the 10-24 for the Nikon D500. Are they superior to Nikon glass? When you consider the price point, yup they sure are! Great video, all the best!
just purchased this lens for my xt3. With speedbooster, it becomes even better than sigma 18-35, which equivalent to 27-52mm f2.8. It has IS, wider focal length coverage, and weather-sealed. Perfect all-around lens!
i'm going to get this lens from my local camera shop soon. I already have the Tamron 70-200, and its super sharp and good for video interviews/ portraits. Great video thanks
I have the 17-50 Tamron but I am needing to update because I just went full frame. I plan of getting the g2 I believe. I have zero complaints about the older lens except the focal range when adapted.
I have Tamron 24-70 gen 1, and I use it most of the time on my D850. I recently bought my first mirrorless camera, Nikon Zf, and my gen 1 lens works on it with an FTZ II adapter. I can buy a used G2 for around $600. Should I buy it for the upgrade and sell or gift away my 24-70 gen 1? I have the Z mount 24-120 F/4 lens btw.
so the 24-70 tamron is a full frame camera lens cause i have a canon 80d and i have a 16-35 L series glass on the camera right now. but i can still use it on my canon 80d right because of the ef mount. well i don't think i'm going to buy those expensive lens but i'll get me the 70-200 and the 24-70 and see how that works for me. i believe my 50mm is coming today and i can't wait.
The Tamron can give sharp results but I have to fine tune the AF for every single camera. Fortunately you can save every lens profile for every camera as a file. I use it on D850, D810, D800 and the D700 but the af fine tune numbers are all over the place ranging from -10 to +17.
@@crayshaunhenderson1265 I fine tune the AF in the lens itself with the Tamron tap in console. Not in the camera body itself. Should work for Canon mount also.
@@crayshaunhenderson1265 Tamron 16-35? That lens does not exist by my knowledge. If you mean the Canon 16-35 there is no AF fine tune in the lens itself. Only in the body itself maybe but I am not a Canon shooter. Check your manual for AF callibration, it should be there. Or a youtube video where AF fine tune for the Canon system is explained.
Hi can someone help me? I own this tamron 27-70 G2 with a Canon R6 Mark ii. I use the Ef-R-Controll-Ring-Adapter. I noticed, when I turn my aperture from e.g. F10 back to F2.8 (AV- and TV-Mode) the Aperture goes only very slowly down - step by step to F2.8. What can i do??
Well I see I have to buy the Canon 5d mark 4 and get two lenses for that camera body.. I don't need to buy no more than 6 lenses. So I was at a wedding and I saw the photographer using the 24-70 lens and his pictures was amazing 🤩🤩🤩 he told me to get the Tamron 24-70 and that's my next lens so I will start saving up for that lenses
@@RyanMichaelss Dude, I got it, used it this weekend for a bday party. It was pretty solid! I’m just so used to using light weight primes that are faster, but overall I’m happy with the purchase. Thanks for the reply!
Found this from a youtube ad *subbed* much love from Vancouver Canada 🇨🇦 glad you included a crop sensor version !! I was thinking you’d recommend the 18-35mm but then 17-55mm is way better f2.8 and stabilized!!
I looked into that as well but it is already 7 years old. This is why i am looking at the tamron. I know that the focal length will be x 1.6. Is there any “downside” having it on crop sensor (not sure if the 1.6 crop on this lens will be downside anyways)
@@EvoWorkout just because it’s 7 years old doesn’t mean it sucks. It’s actually quite a great lens. The 24-70 zoom range of the tamron isn’t the best on crop sensors. 24 isn’t wide enough for wide shots. That’s why the 17-55 zoom range is where it’s at for crop sensors
Awesome video. Even tho i just got a second hand ef 24-70 ii lol i kinda want some IS or VC in this case. How do you think the eos R's digital IS will hold up? I have an eos r as well
I really don’t like the digital IS on the Eos R… it’s kind of like in camera warp stabilizer so sometimes you get a weird jello warpy look from it… no bueno. Plus it crops in a ton
I have tamrin 24-70 G2 2.8 who i just purchased. I noted that at 2.8 picture was Fuzzy but at next step (3.5 to onward totally perfect) I am worried so pls help how i take perfect picture at 2.8 Note: Lens small glass who attach with body are replaced
It also depends what focal length you’re at. Maybe check out a Christopher Frost video here on RUclips about it. His videos are more technical. Might help
I need 1 lens that can do everything I need it to do I don't want to spend no more than 1100 dollars but I keep hearing good things about this lens and I want to buy it but maybe a good used one instead of buying it brand new but I'm going to see if I can get my hands on one

ordered the G2 today looking forward to putting it on my 5d mk2, good vid!
I have the same camera, and planning buying this lens next week. How was your experience?

Right on you’re totally gonna love it with the wider aperture!
Good video. Do you have a BTS clip or photo for the interview shoot you did at 2:45? The lighting looks great
I use a C100 with a Sigma 18-35 F1.8, not minding the lack of IS because the setup is heavy enough that there aren't many micro jitters.
Sick setup! What do you shoot with it?
Just checked out your short films on your channel. That one "The Wild Man" was so sick for just using a T5i!

How about the use of this lens with an apc-s camera, and the requirement is for landscape photography and travelphotography??
So in other words I can get this for my crop sensor.

Does this lens work on D750 nikon
I heard a full frame camera is much better but I want to buy the 24-70 and the 5D mark 4 I got to have that lens
Is this compatible with the 5D mark iii?

What song is that in the background?
hi good video , do you have any mirroless camera like M50 or someting like that , I am just curious whether this lens can work with a speedbooster
hi tell my how the vc work ?? is it good for video shots ? or just still filming.
Yes the vibration control works well. It takes out the tiny natural handheld jitters from video

polarizer filter 82mm for this lens? Please tell me which one is better to take?
