THE BEST and most informative showcase of these ntbk covers so far!

I have the kokuyo systemic a5 for work. On the left I have a campus hourly planner. In the middle I have a campus monthly planer. In the right side I have a spiral notebook from the dollar store for note taking.
I have an a6 for my purse. Campus monthly on left, middle holds a sketchbook, right holds a raymay notebook that is not spiraled. Attached on the band on the outside is an a6 spiral notebook that was too big to fit inside. I use that for shopping and errands lists. Love this system!
I have another A5 for art journal and regular journaling notebooks.
I might get a lihit lab to try the notebook and get a twofer.

Thx for a great video! Love your inventiveness, great review. i stumbled onto the Kokuyo Systemic a few years ago (great price on eBay). It's pretty dull compared to the beautiful name-brand Hobo covers, but for me it more than makes up for its simplicity with its inventiveness. Also it's extremely durable and holds a Hobo much more securely than the loop closure covers, so it's great for tossing in your backpack, etc. Also, like you demonstrated, the Kokuyo is very hackable and customizable. It's a perfect size for the Hobo Cousin Avec with lots of room and pockets for washi samples and collage papers, etc. I remove the spiral notebooks that come with it, though they do have really nice paper. The plastic flip-over sleeve is a great place for washi pieces or stickers. I found a found a large, colorful embroidered patch for the front to spruce it up. I like it so much that i got one for work where I just used a softcover Leuchtturm. Haha i also love to hack my softcover Leuchtturms, I thought i was the only one. I use them in my A5 traveler's notebook (for bullet journal) and often remove the vinyl covers and leave the cardstock inner page for the new exterior cover. (Nice for decorating.) Reduces the bulk and lightens the load. And the sturdy vinyl cover isn't really needed inside a TN. Can see that they'd be great "peeled" like that in the Kokuyo, too. Hope you make more videos.

I was trying to compare these two very covers. Thanks!

Thank you for comparing these. This is a pretty old video. Are you still using either?
I wish I could combine parts of each. I like the front pocket of the Lihit, as well as the inside front flap pockets, but the elastic going from front to back is a hard no for me. I like all the places you can stick a notebook in the Kokuyo, but I wonder about the long term durability of the hard acrylic/plastic parts. The minimalist sleekness is very nice.

What a great idea to remove used pages and repurpose a notebook! 😀👍🏻

Thank you so much for this informative video! Can I ask you something? Do you think the Lihit Lab cover would fit a Hobonichi Cousin plus another 90-page notebook? Thanks again, your journal looks so pretty too!

Hi thank you for your kind word. It will be a very tight fit. Some people seems able to "train" the cover and stretch it to fit a one year hobo + a notebook. For me I don't like tight and over hang look so it won't fit in my opinion.

I like these 2. Especially the first 1 you had shown. Do they have smaller 1s for both of these?

I do not believe they have smaller ones....

Can you please tell me what is that that pink matte is called in the background? Sorry that the question is out of topic of the video.
