I’ve had the mini soundbomb on 5 bikes now , it’s so much better than the squeak manufacturers provide , and cars do hear the soundbomb unlike the squeak 🤪😊👍👍 I’ve also put the louder Denali horns on bikes , vehicle drivers think there being warned by a big lorry 😂😂😂😂
The Dinali Soundbomb mini is not going to do much, although it does give you a deeper more penetrative frequency through the air and cars interiors. However, it's only going to be as good as the OEM because it works off the bikes 5amp system already in place. The other 2 versions need a new electrical harness, air tube and a 20amp electrical system. That's far better than the mini. The Metropolitan Police Special Escort Service uses those in London. Whistles don't seem to penetrate earphones/iPods, so they put out a tender for the fleet to be installed with the new full versions. The benefit of the mini is that it makes the bike sound more menacing and car like than a scooterish beep.
It’s technically louder as far as DB’s are concerned but it may not seem like it. It’s a better frequency to be heard in cars rather than the high pitch sound of the standard one. All else fails, go for the full Soundbomb compact/split horn
Yeah I think what I might have gotten wrong is the fact that the OEM horn points forwards but the Denali points down so I need to do a better comparison

Not to my knowledge no, I think you can fit the “full fat” soundbomb but for the 1300 the space is a bit limited so they suggest the mini. I’ll see what it’s like the next time I need to make someone aware of my presence 🤣
Yes, Denali makes a R1300GS specific split sound bomb mount. I just installed one on mine. Ordered from a bike thing. I preferred the more hidden compact mounting on my 1250, but the split if ok too. I was already doing a D3 install so it was super easy to install the split with their kit.
Doesn't sound like much of a loudness improvement I'd pay for. What are the decibel specs. of each horn? The manufacturer should be able to provide that, as they can't claim to be twice as loud without actually testing it themselves first...
I do not understand why but yours sound a bit down, mine on my bikes are much louder and certainly turn heads when out. Watch for the current draw it is more than the standard horn so if you press for too long can blow a fuse.
Not a significant difference. I was able to fit the big daddy sound bomb using only one bracket on my 1300. I wired it into my can smart. Works flawlessly and super loud!
great video, well done, although I agree it doesn't sound a lot louder but better, the standard hooter sounds like peep peep - lol PS what make of shed do you have, or was is it a DIY?
Thank you! Yeah it doesn’t seem any louder but I think it will carry more and be less screechy! And it’s a Keter 8x11 I forget the specific name but it’s great 😎
It always surprises me that for such a premium bike you are given a bog-standard horn. It's the first thing I upgrade on my BMW.

I used a BMW car horn. Nice and loud and fits… only £10 delivered from eBay….
That’s not a bad idea!
@@TheStammeringBiker great idea
Thanks for honest review
Your reviews and info are spot on Keep them coming 👏👏👏
Thank you very much!

Thanks mate! I’m sure car drivers still wont notice me 🤣
Its a shame BMW do not fit the Fanfare horn to the GS like they do on the RT. It could wake the dead.
Good review. Thanks. There are spl apps for the phone to get a decibel reading that might be worth trying for comparison.

Is the Wiring harness in the box or are they selling it seperately
Yup it’s included, they provide the adapter to connect it to the factory wiring

@@tanselcakr4172 ahhhh sorry you’re right I just checked the order invoice and you’re correct, apologies 🤦♂️
Do they do a split sound bomb ?

Same thing like a year a go. Got it from BMW car and sound very loud.
Surley the higher pitch soumd is easier to hear so if the sound bomb is no louder then the OEM horn is better.?

Brought one after being told no wiring alterations and it kept blowing the fuse. To then be told I need their wiring harness !!!!
The sound bomb can draw 5 amps much more than the standard horn

Don’t waste ya money , just get wire conectors and source something louder 👍
Certainly not a worthwhile upgrade.
Slightly louder. Same nasal tone. Want louder and deeper to get the attention of blind and stupid cagers. Thanks for the review.
Very welcome! :)
Very poor performance for this new horn, I certainly would not waste my money on that, I have an R1250RT and it's OEM horn is as loud as a cars!
First one!
Congratulations!
30 grand and still have to upgrade the horn--lol---yeah no thanks
