I will still never understand reviewers who do a review of lights in the daytime but won't do it at night, I mean, common sense should dictate that the only way to demonstrating all the "features" and advantages will be at night and all reviewers do it. Review lights during the day

Hi there and thanks for commenting.
There are loads of reviews at night time for the Denali D7’s, D7 pros etc
These lights are incredibly powerful and rated globally as the most powerful lights on the market.
This isn’t about that - it’s about features and showcasing the differences between the two models. We will be doing more videos later in the year.

Great video and well worth watching. I've recently taken delivery of the MotoLights. I've also ordered a pair of Denali T3 rear pods. As I understand it, you can add up to 16 accessories onto the white ezBUS circuit, as long as you don't exceed the maximum draw. I going to try to daisy-chain the T3's onto the white ezBUS circuit with an additional Y-splitter. If that doesn't work, I still have the three spare ports on the MotoCAN (ezCAN).

Lights are good to use at night. It seems really odd to do a comparison of lights without doing a comparison of lights....at night. I was seriously considering the new Motolights but after watching the release videos a few times I realised that the beam pattern is really relatively tight. I use a pair of Baja Designs XL80s on my R1250GS which have an amazingly broad beam with more than adequate reach. Here in Australia where Skippy often makes an appearance width of beam is paramount.

Hello, I’ve been looking for a comparison between these two products since the Lone Rider hit the market. I came across your video, and it’s the most realistic, honest, and detailed one I’ve seen so far. Thank you for that.!
However, there is still one topic that remains unclear to me. The Denali D7 fills the sides of the road significantly when at 20% brightness in DRL mode. But the performance of the Lone Rider at night with 20% DRL is still a mystery. I would greatly appreciate it if you could make a video on this topic when you have time. Thank you in advance.

Hi, you should provide a real test review of the MotoLights, so we can really appreciate what those new pods can do compared to the D7Pro or 2 pairs of smaller 3-inch pods equivalent in wattage. I personally went with 2 pairs of pods to have a better beam orientation.

This will be coming soon, however after having two sets of light pods before and then switching to the MotoLights, I can promise that the MotoLights pods are all you need

I would even say that to unveil the full potential of the D7 Pro it takes not 3 but 4 channels. Mine are mounted like that anyway.
Recap : If you use the four white lights only on both side as DRL, and use the full power (yellow + white) as high beam, so far so good, it takes two channels only if it is all you want to do.
On top of this if you want the yellow light ones to flash on one side when the turn signal is on (and the white ones stay on on both sides as DRL or full beam), then it takes 3 channels all together. In this setting the flashing yellow turn signal is unfortunately diluted into the white lights. Or else with the same setting (3 channels) you can also decide to cancel both DRL (or full beam) on both sides when turning to make the yellow turn signal show up better. But then you are blind and not seen any more as you don’t have any D7 pro lights on except for the yellow ones on one side.
Here comes the bonus of 4 channels; when the turn signal is activated on one side, the 3 yellow horizontal lights flash AND the 4 white ones are cancelled, whereas on the other side the DRL or full beam status stays on. This gives you a very sharp and better noticeable turn signal on the turning side, while keeping the DRL or the full beam on on the other side.
    I hope this makes sense.

      Clearwater remains the #1

Hi there. I don't comment usually, but this time, I'll make an exception.
From my point of view, having the D4's from Denali for at least 5 years, mounted on a RT I'll have to add that even the Lone Rider lights might be brighter they still lack many useful futures ...
Please correct me if I'm wrong but they are not working with the BMW control wheel, you'll have to have a different switch mounted on the handlebar. The 3 times flash won't trigger the flashing from the additional lights (as Denali does), the same story when you're using the horn it won't trigger the flashing additional lights (as Denali).
Only these 2 future alone saved me from a couple of accidents in the city.
Another aspect is that it is not completely true what you've mentioned regarding Denali and their connectivity. For example, the horn is connecting directly on the original harness of BMW, so it won't take any other place.
I had the horn installed (but the new RT has one as powerful as Denali, so I didn't changed it). I have the 2 D4's installed with the special brackets under the mirrors and the auxiliary brake light, and i recommend it, and i still have place left for additional lights.
Another point (if I'm not wrong) you can use the Y cable from Denali and connect left and right additional lights in one slot.
Please note that I have the first generation of the Denali D4's and controller box, which doesn't have as many options as the latest one.
Also, they are not prepared for RT's ... there is no special mount for it.
I hope you won't take my comment in a bad way, I really like the LoneRider lights, but I think Denali are more like an all purpose kind of lights while LoneRider are more like Off-Road (or only you on the road situation, which to be fair is like 10% of the riding time).
    Best regards

Your assumptions are as wrong as they can be. Denali CANsmart, the controller, is an OEM version of the HEX ezCAN. So is the Lone Rider MotoCAN. So you can program in the same "flash on pass", "flash on horn", etc. No extra switches.
The only difference between the three is that the CANsmart comes with more cables in the box, and has a higher price. Plus Denali at the moment says they do not support the new HexBUS that Lone Rider uses, but I think they actually do. I upgraded one, and it is there in the application. (No surprise, as they all use the same software. The resource library contains different logos and icons, that are chosen based on what brand of controller you connect to the computer.)

Hello and firstly thank you for your comment and asking the questions - this may also help clear up some confusion for any other people watching/reading…
The Denali lights you currently have will be using the Cansmart controller, which is a controller built and designed by Hex Innovate. This same design and controller system is used in the Hex EZCan and now the MotoCan controllers. So, to answer your first point - they will have the same functionality as your current set up and also more additional features. I will agree the strobe function on the flash to pass and horn is a fantastic feature!
The SoundBomb horn you have installed can also be installed inline with the original OEM horn if you wish but works out more expensive to do it that way as requires a plug and play harness - if you were to add your SoundBomb onto the controller then you will twin link both horns together to create a fantastic “train horn” result.
You mentioned about the Y-Split cable, which is a standard way to install the lights, but with the newer controllers you have the ability of having a left and right channel so you can request the left lights to flash (or go out) when indicating. This is a great feature to have when you have the amber lens’s installed and will create an additional indicator (more visibility = more information for other road users). However if you are happy with the pair of lights to operate “as one” then the y-split cable will be a great option.
The MotoLights are fully certified to be road legal and will both enhance your visibility and cause you to be seen better, I would say they are MORE suited for on road usage with the addition of the DRL as indicators and the super strong beam patters for the road and path ahead of you.
Both Denali and LoneRider have amazing auxiliary light solutions and there are other brands that are becoming bigger and better as well - we are still an advocate for any/all additional lighting is better than nothing so it just comes down to personal preference.
If you have any more questions, then I would be happy to answer them for you,
      Kind regards,
      James

@@MidlandsMotorbikers Another advantage of connecting the SoundBomb to the ezCAN/x/x, is that you can program in a delay. So a short press on the button gives the friendly little beep, and a longer press gives the annoying bicyclist a heart attack. Granted, you do get some of the effect by using the stock horn wire to trigger a relay in parallel due to the inherent delay of the compressor, but you loose the really useful light flashing.
