- We recently had the chance to test out that new 2019 Ram Limited with the Hemi 5.7-liter v-8 engine mated to the new New generation of TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmissions! This truck sure sound great under hard acceleration!
The brawny 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 combines the muscle of 395 horsepower and 410 lb.-ft. of torque - in a smooth, broad power band that avoids the hesitation and peakiness of turbocharged engines - with performance-enhancing and fuel-saving technologies that include variable valve timing and cylinder deactivation. Every 2019 Ram 1500 is equipped with a fully electronic TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission with a wide spread of gear ratios that keeps engine rpm in the right range for the task - whether putting in a full day of off-road work or highway cruising.

I have one, cherry red, love my truck, turns heads every day. This is my first truck ever, saw it at the dealership, took it home the same day. I didn’t even go there looking for a truck, I was intending on buying a car, until I laid eyes on my Ram!

The only way it would turn heads is because it’s new and most people don’t know what it is yet, but that happens with pretty much every car when it’s redesigned. I got a new Camry as a rental in Florida last month, and even that thing turned heads because it was a new model that had just come out.

Their interiors are incredible also and extremely comfortable to drive and ride in. Very smooth. I've had a limited for almost two months now and it is by far the best vehicle, I've ever owned.

The hemi engine is solid. 5.7s are pretty bullet proof. I'd say overall ford is most reliable ( I've owned all 3 brands before ) and chevy kinda stinks in that department. All brands have their strong points. Except Chevy, chevy Linda sucks

@@maxchevelle9334 both are very good as long as you maintain them. I'd say the actual truck itself like the interior will hold up better on the ford however if you get the ecoboost I'd be careful. I'd choose the coyote first, hemi second, and EcoBoost third
wazupwazid i have a 2016 5.7 sport. 2 years old, 63,000kms and only issue i have had is the contact leads on my manual gear shifter and cruise control randomly shit the bed. Fixed under warranty, no issues since. My buddy is at 200,000kms with his 2012 and just had his first issue. Think he said it was a bad spark coil.
I have the Black 2019 Ram Longhorn. There isn’t a week that goes by to where someone stops me and says. Wow what a nice truck and followed by questions. Ram made a sweet ride. Ram pulled me in and just loving the truck over all. In all my years I had Ford and GM. This truck is by far more superior.

Limited Ram is a heavy half ton too. These things are like 6000-6100 Lbs.

I droveone, it drove similar and much slower to my 130k mile hemi. I wouldn't pay sticker for one, they're nice but no wouldnt waste money on it. Is it fast ? I raced a new Silverado and f150 from a dig and whooped both of them, is it nice 8n traffic ? No. Its picky, the parking sensors are skiddish, tried backing into my driveway and it slammed on the brakes for no reason. The back seat was small compared to the olderversion, could not fit a car seat comfortable back there.althoygh the bed is a bit longer. I would prefer my 5 speed to this thing ,
Also you can LITERALLY turn the dial while driving. Found that out the hard way..
Actually the backseat is bigger in the newer trucks then the older ones. And i have a car seat in mine. So u prolly saw the quad cab. I have a crew cab with the 6'4" bed. Full cab and full size bed. More then enough space. And as far as speed who the hell races a truck anyway. Regardless of what truck it is ur not gonna get anywhere fast.
And if u dont like the sensore turn them off. Buttons for them are rite under the thouchscreen. Or just buy a different truck!

I get what ur saying but i just got a 2019 laramie, and the sensors work fine. Hell everything works great on the truck. I traded in a 2004 ram 2500 cummins for this 19 with the etorque hemi and its definitely faster then my old diesel and the 04 was only a quad cab where my gasser is a crew cab. So for me in comparison i have tons of room. And luckily i was able to find the exact truck i wanted in the crew cab with the longer bed which they rarely have. I do like the 4th gens as well like ur 16

Not really that hemi has a lot of power and plus this one on the video is upgraded which makes it alot quicker. Nothing wrong with rams all trucks have their flaws so quit hating on Rams because those trucks come in real handy. Their not slow they just ride smooth and big dudes like myself can make it go quick. Hell if I can do it on my 2009 tacoma on 4th gear manually opening the acceleration valves then I know I'd make a ram take off quick if I wanted to. Trust me I test drove a longhorn and those trucks are still acceptionally fast once you gun the piss out of it. But yeah I'm both Ford and Ram for full size even though I drive a tacoma. And I have 4 horses so I'm about to make my next step.

The governor hasnt changed on this truck. Its electronically governed at 105 mph. Since the newer generation truck in 2005...its always been at that speed.

1. They eat up too much fuel like they're diabetic
2. They stall too much.
This truck is definitely faster than the tundra it has more and more torque. It may not be fast to you but in person it's not bad at all.

But I'll have to say rams are still fast powerful trucks like there's nothing wrong with their acceleration. It's an 8 speed but that's still a great transmission wish it had a 10 speed but based on how solid and strong that 5.7L hemi is really don't think it needs one.
