The 993 was the best look good looking Porsche 911 ever
Besides the 930
The 993 is one of the prettiest 911 ever made. I always turn my head when I see one on the road. British designer Tony Hatter styled the body so I feel a bit patriotic ^^
I would love to just see one on the road. I live in a small town so there are very few Porsche around
the narrow bodied pre varioram 993 is the prettiest, the near perfect 911, modern enough to use everyday but still vintage so it's involving to drive unlike 996 onwards
It is the prettiest. Too costly to get one today, got to settled for a 997 Turbo.
Tob-Racer exactly my thoughts
For me it's the most beautiful car ever made. Stunning.
This and the 997 Turbo S are the most charismatic variants of the air-cooled and water-cooled era 911s respectively. The ones before the 993 feel a bit ancient and the ones after the 997 have no character compared to these two. A great car and great video.
The 964 is perfection
993 is the most beautiful Porsche hands down. Nothing comes even close.
When I was in high school I had a poster of a 993 Twin Turbo in polar silver, it was my dream car. No traction control, no fancy computer, no LCD screens and doesn't look like a space ship. It is just fast and beautiful.
Most beautiful Porsche ever!
what a car, you rock up to exotic car shows these days with this and you are still on par with the mega super cars of nowadays Mclarens, Lambo's and Ferraris.
What an epic scenery and one of the best car ever
It really is a hugely undervalued machine. Has everything and to drive it on that road, in that weather, was a real treat
You’ve captured exactly why I love the analog cars as opposed to the digital. They have more personality, and not easy to drive. Great review!!!!
You missed that every knob and even the turn signal stalks are in leather 😍
fair play - Porsche do it properly!
I know a left hand drive for sell with 10k miles on the clock and first owner was very famous. California car. Can sell anywhere in world.
Boost guages, 5 dial layout, turbo punch, turbo lag, turbo noise and an air cooled engine. Just love it.
Such a pleasure to get the chance to work with this beautiful beast!!
I’ve always loved the 993 Turbo S... but they are so rare there aren’t even that many videos of them being reviewed as they predate the RUclips age... Thumbs up for this video. Brilliant tracking shots, and couldn’t argue with the content and voiceover. Wish I had £350k to spend on a pristine example...
Thanks for watching and commenting! We had it all that day for the perfect video - the car, the roads, the weather and the right driver.
Those 964 and 993 Turbo S prices don't make any sense whatsoever. 993 GT2 was just sold for 3.4 million. Does it make sense? No. But some people have too much money.
That is rather lovely. I’m a huge fan of the 993; it’s my favourite 911 and this is stunning.
My favourite 911 if I had the money I would snap it up straight away. Perfect spec and couloir combo
Kills Bugs Fast.
For those old enough to remember the ad back in the day :)
should have mentioned this.........the 993 Turbo S was the first 911 that could MATCH(not beat) the 959. only took them 11 years, thats how good the 959 was
Thank you for making a video about my dream car. I remember it coming out as a teenager and have wanted one ever since, I don’t want much in life except a nice house and a garage for two cars, the 993 turbo s, and maybe a 991.2 GT3. I’ll have to keep the E39 M5 on the drive and put the S1000rr in the garden ( don’t own any of them ).
I watched Harry’s garage yesterday with the 911 Carrera CS, when these ultra rare 911’s start reaching £150k plus, wouldn’t it just be easier / cheaper to build your own ?
Anyway, great video, one I’ll watch and watch and watch
Stunning mountain road and the most beautiful porsche ever made OMG what a combo😍
Nice video, thank you - that area of Wales is stunning. I have only ever owned a 1980 3.0 SC in Guards and a 1987 3.2 Carrera in Granite - wish I still had them and a wide bodied car too just for good measure! That turbo S would do nicely!
I have a 79 SC coupe that I truly love 👍👍👍👍👍
Absolutely magnificent review. So in touch with the pleasure of driving that modern classic. Salute :)
This is my favourite 911 ever
Great video. Thank you. It reinforces my desire for a 993 turbo
S
gorgeous.. the lines just flow and the rear fender flares, awesome.
I'm happy with my 993 6 speed carrera but I'd be glad to have a Turbo S too. The RS and the GT2 would be my grails but are too expensive.
Your a Very lucky Guy to be wheeling this Porsche! AWESOME! Thanks for the footage, Cheer's from East-Van B.C, Canada.
3:05 that’s basically porn
My favourite Porsche of them all
Excellent review of this great car you lucky man.
Great review, enjoyed that. Keep up the good work
Much appreciated!
The Turbo S is gorgeous but in my opinion has never been worth the extra price over the 993 Turbo. I am glad I didn't have the extra cash for the Turbo S when I bought my '96 Turbo. I consider the 993 Turbo to be the best sports car available. Period. Great video !
Dream machine.
Nice one Matt. What a motor! 👍
The 993 was just enough modern and just enough classic 911
Great review. Saw one of these in my hometown once. Didn't know they were so rare
Always and forever one of my favorite cars!
My all time favorite generation!
Now where did I put my checkbook... let me go find it.
Nice review mate!
Your screen avatar made me think I had a hair on my screen. Nice guy!
I’ve a 993 Carrera 2S and I can confirm that the 993 is pure driving pleasure. As a drivers car I would prefer the Carrera over the Turbo. Fit it with a modern Bilstein PSS10 and itˋll go like hell. The turbo still is a dream machine no doubt. Especially as a S.
The perfect size unlike today's Porsche school buses.
Bigger is better
Not quite. The tail lights are the perfect size though.
Happy with my 718 boxster S.
Was at a stop light in my 993 C2 this past summer. A middle eastern type in an Escalade pulled alongside and said: "Name your price." I smiled, thanked him for the offer, but declined.
My friend’s father had one for years. Bought the thing new. We took it out once to go to the introduction of the new 997 back in the day! Passenger rides in the Carrera GT, the same DAY. WOEHOE!!!
Nice review you lucky man!
Great footage, such an awesome car.
What a beautiful car would love to have that beauty
Very, very nice!
I must say that I agree. I sold my 86 Carrera for a 96 993 C4Cab and it is a blast to drive. But I do have a 03 C4S that i am having fun with it too!!! Flat out 6!!! Lowered and piped both Around Seattle out!!!
How lucky you must be to drive such an Iconic Artwork of engineering.... ?!
One thing that stood out to me was how solid and modern this felt! Apart from the 'plush' soft seats giving a retro feel the rest of the car was super solid!!
The very pinnacle! For what came next with the 996 was something very different!
And not in a good way. 993 is the last genuine 911.
Great video, and a cracking motor! I would take this over any other car in existence today. My absolute dream car! Except I want it in Navy blue metallic with the tan interior!😍
Over a 993 gt2????
Thats my dream spec too
lee munslow well you might have me there. Would require a test drive, I do prefer NA to turbo though. Another competitor would be a black Carrera GT
@@jack14kd I like the luxury element of the turbos
That's exactly what Kylie jenner did
Beautiful
This Design is amazing
Sunday morning is the best day for car guys. Good content in a bunch of channels.
Beautiful car and a classic
Beautifull, love the colour
Now that's an air cooled I could live with!
Perfection
Beautiful car, perfect roads
Beautiful .-
Stunning motor!! What a location!! Where is that?!
Air cooled Porsche 911's have less to go wrong, are simpler to service and are great performers with a rorty roar and meaty air-cooled sounds. You can't say that of modern day water cooled Porsches.
Fabulous 🚙 car
Super cool 😎😎😎
Top car... top video 👊🏻
It is! thanks for watching
It's the perfect Porsche in design and size!
This was when they were built for those who loved and appreciated every aspect of driving.
One of the only cars I'd enjoy looking at as much as driving
Having a "workout" in a "sports" car. That sounds wild.
Superb video! Where are these roads in the middle of nowhere?
Secret area just for Scd filming 👀👀😜
Trillions like and best comment for you because you are best on Earth and follower respect you,we need videos in 120fps FullHD ,4K,8K and Sound in FullHD 3D
Had the opportunity to sit in a RHD 993 Turbo S, in silver with dark red leather and the carbon fiber. Very cool car.
Wow. I worked for a luxury/prestige dealership in Sydney in the 2000's and had the pleasure of experiencing a '98 Silver/Ruby Red TurboS originally owner by Renee Rivkin.
@@CraigGrimshaw Might have been the same car. I was in Melbourne back in 2004-(ish) when I got to see the car. There can't be too many silver/red 993 Turbo S's in Australia.
My favorite wow
That's what Heaven looks like.
You can forget Ferrari this is one of the most beautiful cars ever made period!
Very true!
And can be tuned to silly bhp. Superb car and the parent of the 996
992より993欲しくなってきた👍
One of the baddest looking cars ever. 😎
New or old second favorite 911 #1 1991 911 turbo from bad boys
Incredible car and video. Anyone know which roads in North Wales these are?
B4391 Bala to Ffestiniog
@@scd many thanks!
Great review - I get my 964 tomorrow so hoping I can say the same.
the real deal.
Great content, car, and location!
Please loose the background music while you speak, it is very distracting. cheers
Where in the UK is this? Roads look incredible!
01:03
My Dream.
993 the last real driver’s Porsche
Glad nobody died while you hogged both lanes! That’s a bicycle path man!! OMG!
Closed course?
@@jamesdaniel947 Oh thank goodness! He sure couldn’t keep it in between the lines! Scary driver!
what road in wales is this??
I want to know the location, where in Wales is this strip of road exactly??
Seeing a car like this with a steering wheel on a wrong side is a shame.
Mate, i'm heading to north Wales soon for some driving, what is this road!? i need it in my life!!
Those roads are SCD members only roads ;) TBH we hit gold finding these! So well sighted and almost ZERO traffic.
@@djtimodj ahhh come on......i pay my road tax! ha ha
I thought I was in love with the Porsche 930 turbo RS apparently not
One day
Did they ever drop these in the riviera blue?
I know a left hand drive for sell with 10k miles on the clock and first owner was very famous. California car. Can sell anywhere in world.
Remembering days of MIKE LOWREY & MARCUS🤣🤣
“I guess we the balls just dragging the fuk along” Marcus 😂
I thing the Bad Boys 911 was a 964 though...
Need for speed: High stakes hero car.
carbon fiber as OEM... that is impressive.
Very pretty car but as with all 911's of thst era the nose would lift at anything above...this made for a strange feeling at wheel. The faster you went the lighter the front end became.
