This is a Turbo S, which was an incredibly limited-production, ultra-special variant made only in 1997 and limited to just a few hundred total units. Indeed, this car offers everything that's special about the 993 Turbo - the analog feel, the gorgeous style, the tossable chassis - and adds extra power and a few more subtle upgrades (including that all-important air intake on the rear fender) to set it apart. This is one of the ultimate air-cooled Porsche 911 models.

@@Brian_Eugene_Lee 993 is the best looking Porsche ever made. New ones are HUGE in size and have little to do with the classic 911's. Sure they're amazing, fast cars but purely from the aesthetic point of view they don't come even close.
love a tour of the final boss of the 993 generation 911's. I'll never forget seeing one drive by me in a parking lot back in 2001.

Kenan's presentations have just been increasingly engaging! His style is very discernable and enjoyable because it now has its own identity. I love the differences between Doug's "quirks and features" and Kenan's now equally-engaging "Facts and Figures." Each is awesome!

This is one of my Dream Cars! The last of the air Cooled 911s. The styling of this car is absolutely beautiful! However, I'd have to sell my house and my liver to get it.

Such a beautiful amazing car. Though based on an old design even for it's day, this car had acceleration that was unheard of at the time.

A great 993 example in need of euro-spec suspension.

I'd argue that either the 993 GT2, or the 993 Carrera RS were the pinnacle of 993-based 911''s. I've sat in a 993 Turbo S and can confirm they feel very special though. I've also spent time in a 993 Carrera RS which also felt really amazing.

Hi Kennan, great video again. This is what you can call a MINT condition classic and probably if not the most, one of the most pretty designed Porsches, completely ruined with the stupid front lights of the next generation, no matter what Doug has to say 🙂. You probably know better but I think I remember this was one if not the first 911 offered with forged magnesium wheels, which were offered with several models afterwards.This is certainly a fast sports car even for today's standards, and with the legendary air cooled engine and in this condition, sure as hell the next owner is gonna be a really happy dude. Thanks for the great work man. Much love from West Spain!!

Admittedly, I prefer the older air-cooled Porsche, and I've been lucky enough to drive several of them.
As a girl, I honestly struggle a bit with no powered steering.
However, the 993 Turbo S is a masterpiece and wonderful car
964 and 993 (apart from RS models) all have power steering

Yup. I put Bilstein M030 shocks, springs & beefier sway bars on mine. Lowered it A LOT. So much better! Thing drives like it's on rails, with zero bump steer. Not a harsh ride at all.

993 GT2 is my favorite
Was lucky enough to see a similar/same spec in Vancouver in the 2010s at Weissach. No one was paying attention to it and I walked in and stared at it for many minutes. It sure was something special.
Love my 993 and the size/weight is amazing. That said I'm always a little on edge driving it, its so tiny and low, huge lifted trucks and SUVs miss it regularly prompting weekly brown alerts 😓

Stunning car.. love the styling of the 993, the 964 before was also special, but the few tweaks applied to the 993 model just achieved perfection..

the 996s aren't crazy expensive yet. maintenance aside, they give you a good Porsche experience.

I've a 1996 993 C2 iris blue metallic, 66,000 miles, 6-speed manny tranny, varioram, LSD. No CEL, no oil leaks. Multi-show full-concours winner. I do my own maintenance. I'm never selling it.

I remember the 993 Turbo when it came out.
It was matched up against other supercars at the time on the cover of R/T magazine or maybe Motor Trend.
Motorweek has a throwback review of it on their RUclips channel.
I used to see two 96's, a silver one and Burgundy one all the time on regular commutes.
