@@Feledwards I had a E28 in my youth too. Definitely a great car but it was a rustbucket. Mine rotted away. I loved how it looked though. Last real old school BMW.
Racing Green Porsche blends into the lush Swiss countryside under the radiant sunrise - sublime visuals as usual. Love the green gears. Thanks for enriching my morning Luke!
Same here. Bought it in 2010. Black/black 993TT 1998. Even contacted Ruf to do a Ruf Turbo R conversion. But in the end just did a stage 1 Cargraphic mostly to enhance the exhaust note a bit. Sold the car in 2018. For more than twice the purchase price. Great car!
Nice one, brilliant car. Top 5 of best Porsche ever made IMO. Owned many 911s, even my current 992GT3 and GT4 are not as good as the 993TT. Miss it dearly.@@mseekles1972 Saw them being made on the factory floor (literally standing next to the workers) back in '97 and said then 'I have to have one'.
I would never say that a 993 Turbo looks subtle, but the green hue and the picturesque setting, made this RuF look _friendly_ as the video started. But then you fired it up, and the beast came to life 😲The gruff idle, the scenery flying by as the rear end squatted under boost, this is one *devious* machine! 😎Thanks to the owner for sharing this awesome machine with you, and intern, us! 👏
993 is the last hand made Porsche. Well it's 80% hand made. Absolutely superb quality. These cars are now 30 years old and most of them are still like new, interior and exterior. It was too expensive to Porsche to produce it and they cut the costs considerably with the Boxter-based 996. 996 is a nice car but nowhere near the quality of 964 and 993. Cheers.
Man your videos are getting better and better, i love the way you focus on a lot on the vibe of the video, love seing cars in these beatiful views, keep it on
That sound. My god, that sound. Incredible content, but at this stage that doesn't even need to be said - every single time you upload, it's a masterpiece.
Dude, 0:03 I swear you were walking towards a green screen. I’ve said this to my wife countless times; the cars showcased in your videos are amazing but the scenic views are priceless.
Very Good Ruf video! What a blessing to ride that old RuF turbo kick in the back, no turbo lag in this weird new cars era. Keep Walking and making great videos!
Your videography skills are spot on. That's shot of the sunrise over the back of the car....mint! 👏 I remember watching one of your first videos when you were just starting out. You've come a long way my friend..
Only i can say..... wonderful and awesome Porsche 993 turbo Made by RUF....i Love the Sound... enjoying your day.....and god Bless you and your Family where ever you Go Luke Uwe from Germany 😉
A good friend of mine had a black non turbo model with factory fitted turbo kit wheels etc, he sold it back in 2005 for 38k with around 30 thousand miles on the clock. The sound of the car was so distinctive
You definitely need to visit RUF in Pfaffenhausen, to get to know what makes a RUF A RUF. Forget the Zurich landscape for a day and visit the Allgäu, to have your jaws dropping at RUF factory. The RUF badge is the „Gipfel“ for every former Porsche chassis.
Jesus and crackers! Always been my hero for the many many many tuned Porsche turbos and awesome things of that nature the sportec videos are the only ones of their kind on RUclips and they are just flawless those cars are so rare I flip on the computer today and this thumbnail popped up I almost crashed my truck and tinkled a little bit in my britches. This is the penultimate example of what an air-cooled Porsche turbo should be I've been a fan of this family and they're automobiles since I learned about them in 1984 I have every not every 95% of articles that ever came out in any magazines from before the yellow bird to current I just want to tell you I'm just living vicariously through you I haven't watched the video yet because I'm savoring it but you deserve to experience this this is a something I don't think people realize how special it's truly truly is thank you so much for getting this car out for people to see there's definitely not enough RUF content.
What would celebrating the upcoming fall driving season be without this amazing coffee run! You've done it again Luke and all of us in the car community are so so lucky! Thanks so much Luke, as always!!! Cheers!!!
Thumbs up for the BergRuf, I love the sticker with all mountain passes in the back! Curiosity, why a U letter at the end of the plate, I’ve never seen that on a Swiss-plated car..congrats Luke for always picking tasteful cars!
Best car I have seen on your channel so far 😍😍😍 I have always been in love with RUF but living in Switzerland I have never had the opportunity to encounter one, and 993 is such a great platform IMO
Uff, or should i say Ruf😍 this car looks so nice man! And i can imagine driving this is such an experience 🙏🏻 Nicely done vid my man, super chill perfect for a sunday afternoon relax
Yeah this video was really really good, Luke. What a special car. Please continue to review more like this of rare/special 911s. Ruf is a special fascination of mine.
Hey just to let you know, you just posted the video at the same time, the F1 Race starts. I can imagine many of your viewers also watch F1. I heard this from Sam from Seen Through Glass, he watches this space and uploads his videos after the race or at least after the start. ✌🏽
Can't wait to see pics of this car on ur Instagram page if you happened to take pics always amazing pics. Also loved the video made my morning! Love this car!
Those green seatbelts is one of my favorite aspects of RUF’s. Their showroom and shop is DIRECTLY across the street from Porsche’s Zuffenhousen factory .
993 is the last 80% hand made Porsche. The quality of these cars is astounding. You can hear it when you close the door. It's like a bank vault.
How is the sound of the door closing affected by the car being "80% hand made"?
Not having that solid door sound anymore is a bummer.
My BMW E28 was like that. Felt solid everywhere.
@@Feledwards I had a E28 in my youth too. Definitely a great car but it was a rustbucket. Mine rotted away. I loved how it looked though. Last real old school BMW.

Ice cream green, but it is a lovely colour
Racing Green would be darker I think but I also love the colour
What color is it?
@@alam6376 Signal Green I reckon
Yes I thought this was signal green?
Mate, seriously!! I owned a 993 turbo for 10years, and loved every second, this is a RUF too. Well done.
Thanks Luke, very warm memories.
Proof or didnt happen
Thanks man, i bet you didn’t lose anything selling it after 10 years either!

Love the green color
Your camera work is second to non. Some of the shots literally made my mouth water🤣 unreal stuff, thank you!

That cold start give me such a goosebump
Ha same!
The sound of the car is great, but what got me was that solid sound of the door closing at the beginning! Simply awesome.
Like a vault door.
My 924 Turbo S2 doors close with a thud like that.

Love these coffee run vids! What an amazing car too. So neat to see a mix of old and new cars
Thanks man happy to hear
Nothing beats the air cooled exhaust note
Yeah I'm excited to try some more now!
7:06 that car idling from the outside sounds so freaking good.
really lovely to look at. great vibes as always Luke. Here's to 250k coming soon!
Beautiful color!
I’m still not sure personally 😅
That green is amazing 😍😍😍

It's always nice to see your videos in my feed. Glad you're doing well!
Thank you!
Such a great video - thanks for sharing
That click when opening the door! It is the first signal that a great time is about to be had.
A lot more interesting and desirable than most other Porsche video. Air cooled + turbo + Ruf. It is all very tasteful.
Thank you...For not adding music to this. !!!!!!! Getting to absorb in that 993 goodness is luss.
Looks stunning, and the sound is wonderful !
Love your content man, great combo of car enthusiasts and coffee lover
Absolutely amazing! This car is probably my favorite I have seen on the channel. Love everything RUF, hope to see more in the future.
It amazes me that a Porsche engine can sound like a V8 Muscle car at tick over , such a beautiful colour too , amazing car.
deserving of an award. Hits all the feels.
💯
Dude, 0:03 I swear you were walking towards a green screen. I’ve said this to my wife countless times; the cars showcased in your videos are amazing but the scenic views are priceless.
BergRUF: Kermit for the friends 🙂
0:12 and 7:04 even in idle the engine is pure music! Thanks for the great video Luke.
It’s not only the „mountain RUF“ but Bergruf in german would actually be translated as „mountains calling“, which is pretty sick :)
Love it 🤌

A very special one-off, the Bergruf. Thanks Luke for the wonderful video about our conversion!
You know how much I love that choppy blub blub blub sound 😍
Ha yeah could listen to it all day
Your videography skills are spot on. That's shot of the sunrise over the back of the car....mint! 👏 I remember watching one of your first videos when you were just starting out. You've come a long way my friend..
My god that idle 🥰
That was epic…colour, look in general and sound…I think I have found my new dream spec!
I feel like these 993s are as beautiful as it gets. Masterpiece.
I love RUF and everything they stand for as a company. Incredible car incredible video as always, Luke!

Awesome video, amazing car and the coffee looks good too !
Cheers, coffee was amazing!
Crazy how they only made small numbers of the 993. Wide body 993s are to die for.
Perfection and in my opinion one of the greatest looking sports cars..
993 ruf in this color 😍👍 I think I have to go back to Swiss , such a nice country, roads and cars 👍
Wow Luke what a beautiful car,! I love the last two models of the air cooled Porsche 964&993but this Ruf is amazing!

Bro, your videos are something else. Amazing visuals and just the feel to the video, it has "that something".
Such a good car to drive
Was so smooth
I like the sound proofing mod...much nicer for long drives.😎
This is very true
I think that is the perfect car, at least for me. Congrats to the owner, very blessed.
Indeed, beautiful thing

Thanks man and yes the U means it’s a garage plate, I prefer generally to use the garage plates from Sportec not to show the owners plates.
those early morning moments, empty roads, beautiful countryside... OMG YES!
Indeed! How I love early sunny mornings
@@carswithluke and of course - quality coffee
Signal Green really suits this car, and that door sound as well, they don't make them like that anymore!

probably best porsche you ever brought on the channel!!
Ha thanks! Was a new thing to me but enjoyed it
Seeing you driving through my home town in this beautiful car makes me so happy!

idk what's better the car or the coffee at the end.
993 RUF Turbo R was sold for 2 million dollars this summer in the US.
Magnificient car, magnifiencent video. Those cinematic shots of the car at the beginning 👌
🙏
At idle, it almost sounds like a Harley-Davidson. Fantastic sound, and video as well!
It does! Sounds an amazing sound track
