- Hands up if you dislike planning road trips? Or don't have time to do it properly before you go! I certainly know that feeling- I'm on my way to Iceland in my motorhome and I don't have a clue what I'm going to do when I get there!
But then I wondered... can Chat GPT plan a road trip for me? Can I use Open AI to create an itinerary of places to visit, plan my route, and give me the best things to see and do on my Iceland road trip?
So I decided to try it out!

Very cool. I will try that. I can also recommend mapmarker wich I use to mark tips on campsites and place's to visit the you read about in social media. You can mark the coordinates and add a link to the post
I used chat gpt to help plan my 3 month sabbatical 😆 I gave it the start and end point (the only thing I'd booked, the ferry), then gave the countries I wanted to visit and it picked points of interests to visit. I then adapted it to limit the number of miles per day, add some non-driving rest days in, and the average speed to make it more realistic in a van 😂 I didn't actually use it as I'd already done enough research, but it would be a great starting point 👍 and a rough guide for distances/times
Kat I loved this video, I am new to motor-homing after recently collecting a new Burstner 728G Harmony Line. I too will travel alone and wonder where you get the courage to drive too some of these places ? The planning seems daunting to me but I will definitely try Chat GPT. Thanks for a great video.. ps. I visited Scotland last June, during 7 days visiting many places but I feel that there are many places that I didn´t saw. I intend to go back next year and see what I saw and much more.
Do you have some links or "paper" in order to help me to rent a motor home or campervan and wich ones of places is not acessible with it or you do not recommend to go?
