    - ABOUT US -
    Hi! We are Pooja & Shravan, an illustrator-engineer duo from Bangalore brought together by the love of travel and adventure.
    We have traveled together since the winter of 2016. On one such trip, we started documenting these travels on a humble phone camera. We soon realised that we really enjoy capturing these experiences. We are entirely self taught (students of the internet) and have learnt from binging on brilliant creators over the years.
    In our videos you might find glimpses of places that are not spoken about enough. We always vouch for spots that are somewhat the underdogs. Our vlogs are sometimes vlog-ish and sometimes a documentation of the place as we see it. We hope that watching these videos will bring a little dose of joy to your day.
    We love reading your comments and hearing your thoughts.
    They motivate us and help us steer our creative path.
    With love,
    Pooja & Shravan

      Hey Sagar thanks man!😃 So vegetarian food is a bit hard to come by, but almost every restaurant would have atleast one vegan variant. You won’t run into issues in the better known places, however in off-the-map areas it’s better to go bag some groceries. And if nothing else, there’s always bread.🥲

    Have watched countless Iceland videos till now and this is probably the best created by a fellow Indian. Have always felt that the two Iceland road trip videos by Allan Su as 'the perfect videos' in that genre. No hysterics, no needless hyperboles - just breathtaking scenery and clear guidance on the places to visit. Your videos come very close to those videos in terms of production quality. I will check out your other videos in the Iceland series and you have now gained a new subscriber. Keep up the good work!

    I am really glad to stumble upon your channel. Best video I have come across while researching about Iceland.
    Could you please name the car rental you have used for your trip and how was the experience with the company?

    Hi! I am planning for Iceland Trip this year in the September Month. Kudos to you guys for this gem of a video. I am creating my plan by taking reference from your video. I have just one query that where have you included the fuel prices in the cost breakdown?

    What a great video made by you guys and surely will take full notes as I'm planning a trip to Iceland in April as well. Just had few questions, hope you can answer these ^^
    1) Did you take International Driving Permit to drive a car in Iceland?
    2) How was the experience of driving there? I mean the car has Left side driving wheel or right side? And how was the overall road conditions if we take 2WD car compare to 4X4.
    3) Also did you sightseeing tickets like Ice hiking / Whale watching online or did you book from local tour agency there by cash? What are some mandatory stuff to book online before going there? My same question will go for Hotels/ Accommodation - is it cheap to walk-in or book in prior online?
    4) Did you not find any northern light phenomena during your entire stay in April?
    Thanks in advance XD

    Did you see Aurora / Nothern Light in April?? Great Vids

    • @PoojaShravan
      @PoojaShravan  11 месяцев назад

      Unfortunately we didn't. We did stay at Borgarnes for a night to catch the northern lights but didn't luck out. Also, we pretty much slept through the nights 😛. So there are good chances that we would have missed them. FYI, the chances of spotting norther lights dips during April. Dec, Jan, feb are the best time to catch them. Hope this helps 🙂

    Thank you so much for the wonderful itinerary! I was really worried about travelling around Iceland because only my husband drives, and we are city dwellers so we have never been on uneven gravel tracks or driven a 4x4. This gives me hope.
    But I have a question: while travelling around, is it easy to find pitstops with grocery stores? Should we always buy more for a couple of days and keep them in our fridges while moving from accom to accom, or would it be relatively easy? I’m trying to avoid a situation where we starve because we didn’t manage to buy groceries.

    • @PoojaShravan
      @PoojaShravan  11 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you so much 😀😀. Finding grocery stores can get difficult. You will only find them in mid sized towns and in a few gas stations. We would recommend to load up every 4 to 5 days in towns and store them in a fridge. Otherwise you may waste a lot of time just trying to find grocery.
      FYI, iceland is a very small country… the entire ring road loop can be driven in under 24 hours. Assuming even a 10 itinerary, you may drive for about 4 to 5 hours at max each day. That should not be a problem with a single driver 😄😄. Happy travels ☺️☺️

    I honestly wasnt expecting this video to be that good, but dayuum you guys have produced this really well !! I am planning to go during mid sept-oct , everyother price seems okay apart from the cost of airbnb and hotels. Those are really very expensive. Any suggestions??

    • @PoojaShravan
      @PoojaShravan  Год назад

      Hi.. thank you so much 😀. The Hotels and Airbnbs in Iceland are relatively more expensive compared to the rest of EU. The ones we took were average in terms of comfort. We would rank them as 3 stars. You could go for cheaper ones depending on the kind of comfort level you are looking for. Having said that.... Iceland, sadly, is an expensive place 😞

    • @PoojaShravan

      There are chances if you go towards the north. But our guess is that its going to be 2/10 nights. Dec/Jan are the best months to spot northern lights.
