Fabulous video and thank you for sharing. 😊🙏
We enjoyed the weekly videos and this was a nice reminder of how awesome your trip was. Thanks!
Thank you we appreciate you tuning in!
Best video. The only one that tell deleted about healthy food and market, and show the accomodations of the big van. My two big concerns. Thank you for the info
Masterfully done! Thank you for an Ad-free experience. Looking forward to seeing your guide.

This was the best video I’ve come across recently; beautiful and informative, thank you for sharing!
Thank you for watching!
Glad you showed the close up of the black sand. Diamond Beach is a favorite! Would love to see Stulagil Canyon and Dettifoss. Thanks for sharing your amazing journey and inspiring others to go!
Thank you for watching. Hope you make it there soon
I leave for an awesome two week guys trip around the ring road at the end of may. I’ve been scouring the internet for videos and this might be my favorite one i’ve found. Great stuff guys!
That's amazing! 🤩 Have so much fun and glad you enjoyed it
Good stuff. Thanks
This looks like such a great adventure!! 🎉
It was!
Amazing video and such incredible footage. Thank you for sharing your adventure!!! We are heading there in June 🎊😍

Great job on the video! What a beautiful trip.
Thank you so much! It was such a wonderful trip
We RVed Ring Road in July/August of 2021 for 10 days and it.was.epic!! Our itinerary was very similar to yours! Fell in love with it and definitely need to go back!! Thanks for helping us relive it!! 🇮🇸
That's amazing Hope you can make it back soon!
Hello! Thanks for always sharing the best content in RUclips, looking forward to seeing more awesome videos 🙏🤗
Aww way to pat our backs haha! Thank you 😊 we appreciate you tuning in Miguel
Perhaps we should try happy camper experience in Iceland someday. Thank you for sharing this great video!
Hope you make it there! It's such a fantastic experience.
Great video❤we love iceland. So beautiful and rugged. Hope to travel there again next year you gave us some gratis ideas. Thansk you
Awesome hope you enjoy it
I love Iceland, both for its natural beauty and for the incredibly gracious people who live there. A trip to the interior - to the Painted Mountain - is well worth the trouble (you need a 4-wheel drive vehicle, and possibly a tutorial on driving through water). It’s an amazing experience!
Personally, the one thing I would skip is the Blue Lagoon. I found it to be touristy, crowded, sweaty & gross. Otherwise, Iceland is fantastic in every way.
Thank you. A really great tour from the Ring Road. I've spent. some serious time in Iceland and you've captured its essence very well.
Thank you!
I definitely want to come for Christmas
Ring Road what's happening st Christmas in Iceland
We went to Iceland once, and will return end of June for 2 weeks. We discovered your video. It was a great pleasure for us to watch even though we already know the country. What a wonderful positive attitude.Nice work! Thank you. It makes us happy to go back
That's a lovely comment. So glad you enjoyed it and it got you excited to return!
The best video of Iceland 🙌🏽 thanks for everything
Aww thank you! So glad you enjoyed it
Fantastic job! Well done.
Thank you so much!
Loved this video! Your smile was infectious!
Thank you PB
Amazing video. Thanks so much.
Thank you!
Great video guys, ur video is the one I enjoyed watching the most on Iceland
Thanks! Great to hear. 😁
Great job
Thank you!
Hi Dennis & Liz
On the 8th day. Which camping ground were you staying at? The one with the 2 lightblue outdoor pools. The one prior to Snæfellsness Peninsula.
Thanks! :)
I'm a single woman. I lived-in Iceland for a year in the late 90's. I'd love to do an RV trip there, I'm too afraid to go solo. I need a travel partner! Thanks for this video
You don't need a partner. There will be so many friends to meet along the way. Don't miss out on travel or life just cause you want a friend/partner. Think of all the memories you're missing out on making.
거기서 1년정도 살려면 얼마정도 비용이 필요한가요?
Yeah that’s how I feel I’m thinking about visiting in July and can’t convince my friends for some reason
Go by yourself then! Always travelers to meet there it's a wonderful journey either way but I'd rather experience it than not because I had no one to go with.
Doing an Rv trip in may with husband and daughter . You welcome
Great video! I was curious what 120w power bank was the one you said? That one looks like a good size and everything I see is alot bigger. Any idea would be helpful. Thank you!
Great tour video! I will be booking a tour to I eland soon because of your awesome video. I want your life! Lol.
Amazing! Enjoy your trip 😁
Really well done. I wondered if could buy the guide book. I did not see the link. Thanks for sharing your trip
Of course here you go! eatseerv.com/product/iceland-guide/
Hi! What an amazing video!! We are planning a visit to Iceland next summer and your video is helping us so much! Just a question: whic is the glacier you visited? Thank you so much!
Beautiful
Thank you 😊
Loved the puffins ❤
They're soooo cute
Just wanted to ask what camera you used to film all of this footage? Very good quality and I was curious because I am looking for a new camera.
she is next level excited!
I mean look at that place! Of course I am haha
Wow!!!
Gorgeous right?
Hi, very nice, detailed and interesting video.
Can I ask you if it's aloud to camp with the camper just outside? Or was the second sleeping place an official camper place?
You cannot camp wherever you want. It has to be a designated camping site. We share resources for finding camping spots and so much more in our travel guide for Iceland!
This was a fantastic vlog of Iceland and what to do.. the best I've seen!.. love that you show us on maps and that you have a trip download is excellent... so happy I have found your channel guys... look forward to watching other vlogs.
Thanks Rebecca! So glad you found it helpful :) Excited to have you travel along with us
We just completed at 10 day journey around Reykjavik and golden circle. Next spring we are doing 3 weeks around the ring Rd, Diamond Circle and silver Circle. Thanks for some ideas.
That's amazing! Enjoy your trip and glad this video was helpful
nice video guys , one thing , the tunnel @41:50 is not Hvalfjörður Tunnel that one goes under the fjord near Reykjavik comming from the west.
Thanks for sharing. I looked it up on Google. What's the name of the tunnel to the north eastern point then going through those fjords?
@@EatSeeRV It is most likely Fáskrúðsfjarðargöng (say that five times fast 😅). Or it could possibly have been Norðfjarðargöng, that's in the east as well.
Beautiful video , have you had any challenges using a camper van ? Do you recommend this for families with kids ?
We can't speak to doing anything with kids haha! That's a small space for kids.
Great video thank you! Can you tell me what time of year this was please? My friend and I are heading to Iceland this coming June - we have hired a campervan from Happy Campers too, the bigger one that you wished you'd had! We are spending our time in the Highlands.
Woohoo! Have a blast. We hope you used our link to book! It helps us out so much at no extra cost to you. If not, let them know you were inspired to book from our channel please! We were there the last week in May first week in June!
Do you have any plans to return to Iceland? I was there in 2020 a few weeks before l*ckdown. Id love to return some day as theres so much more that id love to do.
Hi, I'm really excited to watch this and buy your guide. None of your links are working though?
The links are working on our end! And we've recently sold guides. Maybe try again or clear your cache? Hope this helps you plan an epic Iceland road trip
Beautiful quality film. What camera did you use please and mic?
You can see our exact equipment here eatseerv.com/eat-see-rv-vlog-equipment/
Love it! You two did such a fantastic job of capturing Icelands beauty and also sharing lot's of helpful info. Have to go to Iceland now.
Wohoo!
Hi, thanks for video. West fjords or south Iceland??? If u had to pick one.
If it's your first time I would say South Iceland. If it's your second visit, the West Fjords!
Very nice video, which month you visited iceland?
Glad you enjoyed it! Late May early June
Thanks for posting! So did you mostly park on the side of the road overnight?
Oh- I had not watch long enough- u just addressed camp grounds
Wow so beautiful!! Can I ask when you where there? Like the month or date? Trying to picture what it’ll look like when I’m there. 😊 also where did you stay in rekyavik at the end of your trip? Looks amazing!!
May! It was an amazing trip. Hope you make it there soon. We have links to anywhere we stayed in the video description.
doing this in a week! so excited. how did you pack that "inverter/charger" thing? is it a power pack also? I have this one that is a power pack and I have not idea how to pack it in a carry on. any advice would be amazing. love your vids, I think i've watched this one 5x lol
We had a checked bag so we can't be of help there but sooo happy for you. Have a blast 😁 and so glad the video was helpful 💖
@@EatSeeRV thank you!
What time of year we’re you guys there? My wife and I are going this coming September we’re very exited.
Woohoo! You're going to have a blast. Remember, we have a complete guide for Icelands ring road if you plan to do the whole trip. We were there in early May. September should be much nicer weather. But much busier
Amazing video. How much did this entire trip cost excluding the fight from the states? Thanks
I honestly don't know. We did a terrible job reviewing our expenses after. The van rental is $250 a night depending on the vehicle and time a year. Food costs were about $100 per person per day on a budget. Could be more if you go to nice places or eat out a lot! We filled up gas three times I think for a total of $180. (Although double check that we shared gas cost in the video). Excursions range from free to $50-$100 per person. We did a lot of activities so probably $350-$400 per person. It's not a budget trip by any means! But worth it.
Tampa- Wesley Chapel in da house
Thanks for the video. Very informative. We are going there for 9 days in first week of May and want to travel southtern ring road going as far as Stuðlagil Canyon. My question (or rather my wife's ) is, where do you guys go for bathing and toilets? Is there a map of all public washrooms and toilets along the journey?
We only passed a handful of public toilets (maybe 2 - 3). We stopped at gas stations, many of the popular tourist stops had bathrooms (pay a few kronner to enter). We also bathed at hot springs after soaking or at campgrounds. Enjoy your trip! :)
I had the same question :)
I would love to know where you stayed on your last two days. Doing a 17 day campervan trip in September but spending the last two in Reykjavik thinking of an air bnb. Where did you rent your car? Happy Camper? Would love to know where you booked and stayed. Cannot find it in your descriptions. Thank you!
We stayed in the apartments Reykjavik4You on Airbnb for the last 2 days. They have multiple listings. Also we just went with a random car rental company for the every day sedan near Reykjavik. The van rental was from Happy Campers link.eatseerv.com/happycampers
Where was the longest tunnel that you guys went through in the east fjords? I mean near which town?
It's the Hvalfjördur tunnel if you Google it, it will come up!
Is Vegan Budin still open?
❤❤❤❤❤
HI! I was just curious if this was the two person 4x4 or the three person 4x4?
4x4 was the two person, the yellow one that slept 3 was not 4x4.
What was the name of the campground in northwestern iceland that had the hot springs?
We shared it in our guide to Iceland if you're interested!
Can you stay in hotels as well if you don't always want to camp?
Of course, several hotels and vacation rentals/B&Bs along the way. We just love camping and felt it was a nice cost saving compared to hotels + having to eat out every meal. It also saved us time. We packed quick lunches a lot in the parking lot to activities which wouldn't have been possible with a rental car + hotel (at least as easily).
In what month did you travel? amazing trip!
Late April to early may!
How much did the van rent cost you guys in total? I don't know if I missed that part though...
Honestly I don't remember. I know prices change each year and depending on when you're traveling. Best bet is to check the site to see what pricing would be
Ok
Hi, I’m from Canada, I saw your video and I decided I would love to do the same tour what you did. I would like to ask your opinion about the safety, I’m an older woman, I will do the tour on the same van you showed on your video, I’ll do it by myself. Is Iceland is safe enough to do on my own, or you don’t recommend to do it? Thank you so much and I wish you a great travelling!
Iceland is one of the safest countries in the world. You can do it without worry for sure
@@EatSeeRV thank you so much.
As a student in Akureyri, I am looking for a nice place to rent a cheap room. I don't mind the outskirts of Akureyri
Did you rent a car for traveling around whenever you didn't have the campervan, or did you take public transportation for those sections?
We rented a car. Public transportation is very expensive here.
We’re you able to drop the car rental off somewhere town (based on getting it from the airport) before picking up the Happy Camper?
No. Unfortunately we drove back out to the airport. But it wasn't a big deal because that's where happy camper drop off was so they took us back to the airport where we got the new car. It was quite convenient actually
Oh good. Also, when you go on all the excursions are they’re bathrooms easily accessible?
And yes, I am planning a trip to Iceland. This video has been very helpful.
We planning a trip in October end. Is it a good time?
It will be very cold and many places will be starting to close for the season, but that's okay. Still a lot to do and see! Enjoy :)
Planning a trip for next year. so curious how much did it all cost? ballpark figures?
Roughly $2,000 without airfare. But we spared no expense on the places and activities we did. And ate and drank out a lot in Reykjavik. Which is expensive. I'd say we're middle of the expense category there.
@@EatSeeRV Great. thanks.
@@EatSeeRV Does that include the camper rental? I think the one you used starts at $222 USD currently, which for 10 days would be over 2k. Been enjoying this camper van idea but I'm wondering if it'd be cheaper to rent a regular car and stay at a combo of hotels or air bnbs.
No it didn't include the rental. It will definitely be cheaper with the van rental vs Airbnb. Airbnb can coat $50 - $100+ per night. Plus you have car rental fees on top of that. It really depends if you want conveniences of home with you as you travel.
@@EatSeeRV Makes sense, thanks!
What time of year is this?
End of May into early June
That thing going on downtown Reykjavik is a celebration for graduating college, its basicly dressing up in costumes and being sloppy drunk the whole day.
Thank you for sharing!
What month did you go to Iceland?
We went end of April until early May!
We rented a 4x4 Suzuki from a co. called Sad Cars. But our trip was anything but sad.
Hahaha
How can I buy your “Iceland Ring Road Trip” book? Thank you.
You can buy the digital guide here eatseerv.com/product/iceland-guide/ hope it's helpful!
@@EatSeeRV can I buy it in the paperback version?
We don't have a paperback version. Sorry!
@@EatSeeRV thank you.
I'm very much looking at doing this with my friends, question of curiosity, not counting flights, roughly how much did you pay for the entire trip? ( I'm that friend who ends up organising everything 🤣 )
If we had paid for the van it would have cost us just over $2,500 for the two of us.
Why is download not available?
Do you mean the guide? Here is the link: eatseerv.com/product/iceland-guide/
You make the food sound amazing. Everyone else says the food is bad. I love lamb and goat and well-cooked fish. No chicken or pork. The fish there looks raw. I'd need mine completely cooked. Is that possible? We eat zero junk food but those desserts do look good if not too sweet.
The food was fantastic! You can always order what suits your preferences or diet. Plenty of real wholesome food to enjoy there.
@@EatSeeRV thank you! I am so happy to hear that.
Stunning visuals! Stunning country - have visited twice & expect to return. Had to watch most of it with the sound off due to the 'squeaky hinge' American tone which can be grating on English ears. Sorry!
This is the most backhanded compliment. If you are impartial to American accents maybe next time leave that out. We cannot change that we are American. 🙄
@@EatSeeRV You don't need to. Just be aware that you can maybe modulate your tone. & it's 'not partial to'. Impartial - no opinion.
Cannot believe the rental rate on this unit😮, 685.00/day. Nope!
Yeah, I wanted to camper van so bad, but I can rent a car for a week for that price. It is INSANE!!
Pricing changes depending on timing. When we went in shoulder season rates were much lower!
Wow. I have never heard anyone pronounce Þingvellir that way. 😂
Like, I understand struggling with the LL sound because English doesn't have that sound at all (most languages don't), but the way you say it sounds like "Thingrafish", which isn't even close. 😂
Did somebody teach you to say it that way, because if so, they f***ed up. 😂
Always good to hear nice things about my homeland, though. 🥰
Hahaha 😂 Google translate!
Why did you not visit the Blue Lagoon? You were like 15 minutes from the airport? Did you visit it? I stop watching cause it is not relevant to what I wanted to see, if you let me know more about the blue lagoon that would be fabulous! Lovely video would like to finish watching it
Yes we do visit blue lagoon. At the end of the trip before leaving. We share that and more around the Reykjavik area. We also have a single vlog just on that if you go to our Iceland series.
Love the camper,do you crap on the ground all over the place like tourists do in New Zealand, just wondering....Germans are the main culprits
No that's illegal. You use a restroom.
Basalt columns are actually ancient trees. Lava never forms like that. It’s part of the big lie we’ve been indoctrinated with. Beautiful video. Love watching!!
Good info but obnoxious personality to watch for 1.5 hours.
Helpful comment. Thanks so much. I'll make sure to change my personality to be less obnoxious from now on 😉
I am sure with you and your socialist views you guys fit right in
Helpful, and assumptive.
