I’ve watched several of these guides and I must say yours has by far been the most informative and helpful to a few more interesting sights/excursions we would be interested in. Thanks!
I went from my home in Scotland, a short flight, in March 2023, (twice postponed due to Covid), and wow was it worth it! my highlights were the Blue Lagoon and the Glacier Lake with it;s Icebergs, just fantastic.
Love how comprehensive your videos are! Your Venice video was a lifesaver for my last-minute trip and I was so happy when I saw that you had an Iceland video, which is where I'm headed next!
What most people miss is the tiny little stream flowing away from this otherwise spectacular waterfall. It is incredible to see how little water it takes to create such a spectacle. If you ever visit the waterfall Dynjandi (the Thunderer) in my native West Fjords, please pause to notice the very modest little creek flowing from the magnificent displays into the sea. That is how little water is required for a great display - when conditions are right.
Loved your wonderfully comprehensive video about your 9 days in Iceland! Out first foray there will be on last port stop of cruise but we added days after. So your video helps us plan to make the most of our time there! I'd say I think my favorite things to see will be black diamond beach, Icelandic horses, Geysir, and Godafoss waterfall!
Great video. My wife and live in Scotland and have booked four day visit to Iceland in November to see the northern lights. It will be our first trip to Iceland really looking forward to it.❤❤❤
I’d love to visit Iceland for the northern light next time! That’s the one thing I truly missed on my summer trip. I hope you have a fantastic trip to Iceland! Thanks for your comment.
Very helpful, the best video I have found to help plan a visit to Iceland, thank you very much for all this valuable information. Greetings from México!
Seljarlandsfoss is one example of how a spectacular display can be created with just a little creek. There is another waterfall, in the West Fjords, called Dynjandi. It is spectacular to watch - until you notice the small creek flowing from it! It is incredible how such a small stream of water can form such a spectacular sight.
love this video, we have been to Iceland 4 times and always in the winter. I want to plan the ringroad trip next year thanks for the advise on this video

Definitely! However I think Iceland can be a bit of challenging travel destination for first-time solo travelers. It requires a lot of planning due to the weather and limited resources. With that, for people who have done at least a couple of solo trips and feel comfortable, I think a solo trip in Iceland would be very worthwhile!
Awesome video! We are looking to be there in September for a about 8 days so definitely going to use a lot of your recommendations. Quick question, what's the drone that your husband use?
Hello Juhui , in your clip , you mentioned about an area with swamp of flies when you walked to the car in the morning, only one or more? where exactly was? plz , so I ll avoid that area . Is it by lake Myvatn ? Thx Juhui
Hello. Nice video & thanks for sharing! I am planning to go with spouse in March this year. Which ones do you recommend to must go and which one do you think we can ‘skip’? As sun will only be available from 9-5pm. Thanks!!!
Thanks! That’s a good question. Personally I’d skip the Solheimasandur, the abandoned plane and any place that requires a major detour (if you’re doing a ring road trip) and I will make sure to not to miss the glacier hike & the glacier lagoon and seljalandsfoss, Geysir and the Blue Lagoon.
The glacier hike tour linked in the video + comments leads to a tour out of Vik. it doesn't seem right. can you please share the viator tour for the glacier hike tour you guys did? it's definitely not the one in Vik. thank you!
Hi there, we drove to the Sólheimajökull glacier parking lot from the town Vik. I don't think there's a glacier tour starting from the town Vik. Hope this helped!
great video. new follower here. We're booked to visit Iceland for 11 days late july to early August. Do you think there will be glacier hike at that time? We booked a campervan. Thank you.
Thank you, and welcome to the channel! Yes, glacier hike is available during summer months. Visiting ice caves is probably not - I think it was only available during winter months. Congrats on booking a campervan in advance! Well done. Happy travels!
Thank you for your video. It is helping me with the planning of my itinerary for my trip this summer. I have a question for you. I keep hearing that you need to have a “pin” number when pumping gas in Iceland. I have been hearing that you need a PIN number for credit cards not just a debit card. Is this true? Here in the United States you do not need to use a PIN number with a credit card. I am a little confused by this because here in U.S. we don’t need PIN numbers when pumping gas with a credit card.
Glad my video was helpful! That's a great question. We never needed to use the PIN number in gas stations in Iceland. We filled up whenever we were in a town (not middle of nowhere), such as here: 09:44 and we were even able to use mobile payment such as apple pay and google pay. I think it's only the old machines that might require a PIN, and from our ring road trip, we did not encounter those machines that require a PIN.
All the places we went in this video took (b), however we heard that some isolated gas stations on the road might require (a). I’d say bring at least one (a) especially if you’re doing a road trip in a van/RV.
I hear you! Hiking on the glacier itself wasn’t very long - I think it was less than an hour? To get to the glacier, you need to walk flat rugged road for a little bit. Overall it wasn’t a steep hike, so I would say it was moderate. Also you will be given proper equipment like poles and ice chains for the boots. Just make sure to wear hiking boots that go over your ankle. They also rent hiking boots if you don’t have any. Hope this helped. Happy travels!
I went in June, and the weather was nice. The weather in December will restrict you from doing more outdoor activities, but you probably have a better chance to see aurora and beautiful winter scenery.

Hi thanks for the video, did you go in Dec ? İm planning in Dec ,can i see these places or will be snow covered?
