This is a beautiful film. I was in Iceland earlier this year and you have captured its beguiling beauty perfectly - I love that it is like slow TV. You have created apiece of art. This is a film I will go back and dip in and out of - thank you for sharing l!
What an amazing road trip experience, Janus! This is more than just RUclips video! Wonderful film I want to watch it multiple times! So many spectacular view of nature in Iceland 🥰 LOVE it!!! You did really a great work - traveling, filming, editing 👍 a big THANK YOU and greetings from Indonesia!
Well done! I'm only part way through and I have shared with the three people I know who have done long visits to Iceland. Your work is as good or better than any professional travel documentary, extremely well done so far as I'm watching in several segments. You outdid yourself on this one my friend, Cheers!
@@januslogI like how you went off the beaten path to a degree and I can relate to enjoying solitude as a part of travel as it gives you a different kind of reflection. I know that you spent a lot of time putting this together and I want to sincerely thank you. Cheers!
@@edterryberry255 thank you Ed, I agree, it’s so much fun to venture out a bit and discover some of the more hidden places. Have a great rest of the weekend!
what a beautifully made and knowledgeable film! just curious on how and where did you stay all along the way??! I see you decided to change the route and wondering if you had to book or change accommodation
Thank you 🙏 It was a mix of camping and AirBnB stays. Most of the stays I only booked the day before. Given the volatile weather, if you can, try to keep as much flexibility as possible. The last minute change of route did cause me to lose 2 bookings I had made well in advance of the trip.
Hi, I'm a musician from Ireland, who is currently almost finished producing an electronic, ambient album of music dedicated to everything Icelandic. I hope to have the album released by the end of this year and available alongside my other albums on Spotify, Apple Music, Itunes etc. Your excellent video has inspired me on 3 tracks called Waterfalls, Mountains and Road Trip. I've spent a lot of time playing the pieces alongside your footage and they are a perfect fit. I took my own footage on my last visit in 2021, but it is no where near as stunning as yours. Would it be possible to use some footage from this video for promotional music videos of the tracks and for use as a backdrop during live performances? Naturally, full credit to you and your RUclips site would be given every time they are used. I would be more than happy to send you the 3 tracks to listen to, before you make a decision. Thank you so much for your time and keep up the great work, Regards, Michael Mc Elroy.
Hi Michael Thank you for asking! Please feel free to use the footage and provide visible credit to my channel. Wishing you lots of success with your album!
@@januslog Thank you so much. I will credit your channel on every material I use. When I release the album, i'll let you know and if you like, i'll send you a copy. Thank you again ❤👍
I loved it. It’s not luxurious but very practical and I was even able to flatten the back seats completely which allowed me to turn it into a bed on some nights. Great car!
@@januslog In deep years of communism, French built a factory in Romania and produced a car called "Dacia". Practically it was Renault 12 model. Romanians continues to build it themselves and enhance it as much as they could: 5 speeds, servo brake, servo steering, case modified engine increased capacity from 1300 to 1410 cmc. After the revolution, the collaboration renewed and Renault produced new models, this time with new technology. Now I see they export them in all Europe. It was the national car of Romania in the years of communism, not the model you drove, which is advanced, but the old Reanult 12, model 1968.

How was the car ? Reliable ? Comfortable ? Why am I asking ? Because it's made in Romania.
