Dear Allen, just returned from this year's 14 day Iceland trip and your video served us beyond the visual brilliance as well as guideline what sights to visit. It was also an inspiration to soak in the special atmosphere of this magnificent country and the experience of a longer road trip itself. The sights in Iceland south are numerous and lined up like on a chain, so after a long day it was merely hard to remember what we saw just in 12 hours.
Your videos can create the impression that Iceland is an empty, tranquil country for those who seek contemplation. Well , to be honest that is not the truth. Tourism is picking up again quickly and the major sights are 24/7 invaded by hordes of tourists in hunt for another useless and ever-same instagram selfie. Everybody seems to be in a hurry and these are not the spots to relax and enjoy the beauty. Obviously icelanders have decided for mass tourism without any limitation, and that's what happening now.
Nevertheless, if you deviate from the main track, go on a hike or just leave the ring road, there are plenty of opportunities to find your own quiet version of Iceland, and for this your videos are always an inspiration. Thanks for so many good emotions while watching them and carry on with your art !

Traveling to Iceland has been a big dream of mine for a long time. This solidified it big time. I wish money was never an issue. Why does being happy and traveling have to cost so much money?

  • @TravelOften

Wow, super professional video. So much better than the typical blog video! Others don't do the research, and point the camera at themselves 99% of the time.
Instead, you let Iceland be the star of your video. This could easily be a national geographic show. Nice work!

Fantastic Allan. Great cinematography and an excellent narrative. Especially since here in Melbourne, Australia, we are just about to come out the world’s longest Covid lockdown of 262 days. Your superb video helps keep the travel dream alive. By the way, I’m very impressed with your pronunciation of those place names!

Hi Allan, amazing videos. Thanks for putting together this amazing 14 days trip. Quick questions, how did you pace your stops and hotel stays. Do you stay at the same hotel for a couple days or at different hotel for each day? It will be great to add to your itinerary where stayed each day. Thanks for consider do this extra addition but it will be super helpful for someone like me who have not got to Iceland and will be the first time. Also, do you have to have cash on you? Thank you very much.

Very impressed with your work allan, if i may suggest, i think most of your viewers might find these topics interesting as well:
    1. What tech and how do you bring all these filming gears (drones, gopro, tripod)
    2. How you pack for trips (it seems like you always carry lightly, so its quite impressive)
    3. Do you cook during your road trips? if yes what are the groceries you usually buy for the trips
