You are awesome great to see you back Iceland sounds like a beautiful country love Iceland always love your videos
I went to Iceland last month and used your older videos for inspiration - thanks Hrafna!
My wife and I took a trip to Iceland in April, and I followed a lot of your advice, and it was a life saver!! Takk fyrir!!!
I live in the Netherlands but have family from my Icelandic mothers side living in Mosfellsbær and Selfoss. This august I’m going back to Iceland and I’m soooo excited to see my family again and eat all the good food ♥️ I’m really lucky that I always can stay and eat at my family, but thank you for the advice!
I visited Iceland in March for 11 days! Was amazing! Actually i did all the things you said. And something extra is to try find room with breakfast. Then you will be full until afternoon, then you can snack the things you buyed from bonus, and the night you can eat a hot dog, or soup, or something simple.
We also've rent a car, and we didnt choose N1. But the pink one gas station. Even if they told us (from the rental) that we will have free coffe at n1. We visited many many hot spring! Eeeevery day in a different spring. In a different town, in the ice cave...everywhere. Its true that you will stay in the room only the night. We spend 1600€ per person, for 11 days, aaaall included (also the airtickets)
Hi! I’m also planning on going 11 days, in 2 weeks. It’s amazing you managed for €1.600,-! Is it possible for you to share some tips/advice with me? Like, where did you stay, which tours did you do etc.?
I’m so glad and relieved to see a new video from you! I hope you’re able to make them more often. 🌺
Hey, it's very good to see you again, Hrafna!!! :)
It is SO nice to see you back!!! I started watching you almost three years ago when I attempted to learn Icelandic, I really enjoyed all of your videos. Glad to have you back. !!!
Really missed you insightful videos into a land that is not widely known in the US at least. Your tips reminded me of a trip I took with my dad to Alaska. We went for a month, and the most enjoyable parts were just getting out into nature, and everything there is far more expensive than in the rest of the US due to the isolation, which likely is the same for Iceland. I hope to get to your country within the next five years or so.
Always good to wake up to an Iceland video! Hope all is well and welcome back
Oh cool! A new video from you! 😊 I hope that I can visit Iceland one day. From all I heard so far about Iceland it must be amazing.
One tip relating to the last tip. On our trip, we noticed many locals taking advantage of the duty-free in the airport to purchase alcohol. It is quite a bit cheaper, and even people who did not drink were purchasing the duty-free for friends and family. So get that bottle of wine when you first arrive, and save a few ISK.
She's back!!!!!!! finally! :D
Howdy stranger, good to see you again.👏👏👏
When I visited Iceland I was eating cold canned baked beans and cereal straight from the box in my rental car for breakfast every morning lol.
YAEEES!! I’ve missed seeing your videos pop up!!! Welcome back!! ❤
What a beautiful Joy it is to see your channel again it's my birthday and this post of yours was a great birthday present to watch. Thanks for sharing this with us that watch your channel. I'm 64 yrs old.
I actually am traveling to Iceland next month. Hope you make more videos I always liked watching them.
I just came back from Iceland in May 2023. It was awesome, it is expensive but it just depends where you go and what you buy. I went nuts out there and spent money like a drunken sailor 😂lol I miss it so much!!
I went to Iceland during the eruption last year in August 2022. We stayed on a friend of my son's 30 meter yacht in the Harbor. I didn't pay for anything as his friend did or my son who is a doctor and can afford it. After looking at the eruption we went on a guided tour of the Westfjords and lodging up there was ridiculously cheap.
YAAAAAY!!! HRAFNA IS BAAACK!!! I was seriously saddened, thinking you weren't coming back!
I visited Iceland in 2016. I wish I had known about your channel back then but I did enjoy your country so much.
Long time no see!
I'm so happy to see you again after such a long time, Hrafna! :)
nice to see you again.....I started watching your videos recently and was sad to see you had stopped. Now I am happy again and looking forward to seeing more.....
Nice to see you again Hrafna, one good thing for visitors is that the Icelandic crown is not that very strong, what makes it all way less expensive. For me here in Sweden that off course not matters att all, because we do even worst.
missed ya, welcome back!
Welcome back!
Wow it’s great to see you backI & this video subject is perfect timing. I’m putting my house up for sale in a week and I anticipate it to be sold and gone in a month and two months be on my way to Iceland to fulfill a lifelong dream of the ring of fire. I’m thinking of taking a little over 3 weeks to really enjoy it ! Welcome back & if not least may be a little video here in there every few months would be awesome
Hopefully, it will be healing for you to talk about why you have been away for a year. In any case, glad to have you back!
omg, welcome backkkk
Glad you are back. I was just thinking about you, wondering what happened to you. Figured maybe you got married or something.
The most expensive part of my stay in Iceland was the hotel bill. Renting an Air BnB would be much cheaper.
My dream is to bring my family there and meet my relatives on my grandfathers side, and especially to see Misthyrming play as they are my favourite Icelandic band. Welcome back!
My wife and I were in Iceland over Christmas a couple years ago. We stayed in the capital/ harbour area near Hallgrimskirkja. One thing I can't stop thinking about and was the most helpful that's in your list is those scooters! we used those to go everywhere! so fun, fast, and cheap. It cost us about $70 USD for all 6 days we were there and we scooted everywhere we went from downtown all the way to the harbour. Even though some days it was snowing and icy it was still fun and useful.
Omg, missed you so much ❤️
Welcome back 🎉😂
Just got back from Iceland on Tuesday. We just rented a car and did AirBNB all over the Island. Drove just shy of 2000km in 7 days. We were able to catch the last day of the Viking Festival near Reykjavik. I actually liked Akureyri more, city wise.
Pakkhus in Hofn was by far the best restaurant we ate at. It's quiet expensive but had the best lamb my wife has ever had in her life. Kaffi Loki (Reykjavik) is also a good spot for "sampler" plates to get somethings like fermented shark, plokkfiskur, etc. to try. It's right in front of the big church. Was pretty funny though to see a Costco and able to get in with our US Costco membership.
This is my plan too, rent a car and to the ring road and stay in AirBnB. How’d that go for y’all?
@@srcmedic went pretty well. Rented our car from Sixt which there's a bus that stops at the various car rental places next to the airport.
We did the ring road counter clock wise because we wanted to hit the Blue Lagoon first, and figured the traffic would be easier, which it was.
I loved Iceland 🇮🇸 in May 2018. I definitely took advantage of the breakfast included with my stay. It helped with food costs.
I'm so glad you're still alive T.T
I hope your break was good!
Absolutely love your viking based videos, so good to see you back 🥰
Great advice and good to see you back.
Re: alcohol. I visited in March and found the cheapest way to drink was to buy duty-free alcohol at the airport and exploit the happy hour offers bars in Reykjavik have during the day. Beer was half the price before 8 pm than after 8 pm and very affordable (750-1000 ISK). I know this advice makes me sound like an alcoholic, but oh well, it was a holiday.
Girl we missed you!
So nice you’re back, I’ve missed your videos! I hope I can visit Iceland soon, thank you for the tips.
OMG! YOU'RE BACK!!!!! ❤🧡💛💚💙💜 And you look gorgeous, as usual. I missed your videos!
And just yesterday I decided to go next year to Iceland and booked all the hotels.
Welcome back! Wish I'd had this advice in 2018 :P
Good to see you. Greetings from CDMX.

hiii hrafna!!! so glad to see you back here on youtube!!!
I visited Iceland last August and had a blast! Bónus was my best friend and I was suprised to find how walkable Reykjavík was! Unless I was going from once end of the city to another (via strætó) I could easily walk almost anywhere.
Hrafna...Thank you for these tips. You are sweetheart! :)
Great to see you back Hrafna!! Great tips, thank you! 👏🏻👏🏻
thanks Mom:) good to see you're back:) as always - very useful tips, i'll use it when visiting Iceland. btw, i like the idea of visiting it in May. once again, thank you very much!
What a lovely person.
So glad to see you Hrafna!!!!! I’m so glad you’re back and I can’t wait to use some of these tips on my next trip back! ❤️💜💗
Missed you!
Thanks a lot for the advice. Too late for my sister, but not for me. Missed you a lot, dear friend! Lots of love from Spain 🤗
Hi. Going to Reykjavik next Monday 23 of September 2024, via Amsterdam. I have the feeling that If I am going to another planet. Fear of cold weather. Looking forward having a pleasant trip.
Watching this video made me want to immediately come to Iceland!
You mentioned alcohol, but didn't warn about driving under the influence. Is it very strict and expensive to get a ticket for that in Iceland?
Also, winter clothing. I remember a recent comment on a Svalbard page, asking if there would be a way to rent winter clothing while visiting, since some people have no use for such clothing at home. Does winter gear rental exist in Iceland?
So nice to see you back here. I love what I learn from your videos. 💗
From what I know there are hefty fines for driving under the influence. But that goes with a lot of traffic violations in general in Iceland to my knowledge, especially when you consider road conditions in the winter, since then it can already be very dangerous to drive at all (I have been in the north in the winter and it can be very tricky when there has been a lot of snow). There are probably places where you can rent equipment or clothing, but I would suggest buying honestly. It is (likely?) less expensive, and you don't really need a ton of gear. For my two trips I had with me: Crampons, winterboots, 2 sets of thermo clothes (2 leggings and 2 shirts), one pair of snowpants, hiking boots and of course a winter jacket.
Great to see you back on RUclips 😊
Yeah, thanks mom, what can we do? 😂😂. Great tios thanks. We arrive in high season and are bracing for all of the aforementioned. Lol. And to have fun
So nice to see you baaaaack!!!!
Will be there 2023....not by choice however, but still looking forward to it, except the cost.
Glad you're back!
Oh, you're back! Nice!
It's nice to see you again it's been awhile

Have you finished school? Hope all has been well.

Hey, have you ever considered making ASMR videos?
Anyway, hope to run into you in the near future! 😁
You're back! Welcome back, Hrafna. I have been looking for a very long time, but I have failed to find any good way to learn Icelandic. Can you point me in a good direction?
I've missed you Hrafna! Thanks for the video :)
Been so long! Happy to see you
You are so awesome. I love your videos
I would looooove for you to be my tour guide:)
Amazing video! I was in Iceland last May and can’t wait to be back one day. Bonus is great, I brought a Bonus reusable bag and use it everywhere here in Canada 🤣💛
My last comment was literally how I missed your videos. I'm glad you're back 🙂 also when u say sooo expensive, could you explain? Like can u make a video covering the prices of common things in USD?
Your return with this video falls at the perfect time, since I'll (finally🎉) visit Iceland in September!
Any recommendation on parking in Reykjavik (also outskirts) for free?
No… let’s talk about it… where have you been?😂
I shop Icewear, its so good and not that expensive
Hock Diggity Dog Hrafna is back!
So ideally it would be great to stay with a family. Sort of like the student exchanges program.. With the exception of paying the host room & board for additional expenses the family occurred. 😯
WELCOME BACK GURL!!!! We ❤️ u!
Loved your video.
Thank you wonderful, beautiful, intelligent magical elf !
1 month ago, I've been to Iceland. I enjoyed every minute of it. But I must say, its a very expensive country, if not the most expensive country I've ever visit. However I will recommand to visit it.
