When I was born ( a very long time ago ) I lived in a 12ft Bluebird caravan until I was two and a half. I don't remember it of course. Then my sister was born and my dad bought a 27ft Travel Master caravan. Even today I get homesick for it. We had a real coal fire with chimney and a water tank heated by the fire. Water was from a hosepipe. It had two tiny bedrooms and a drop down double bed in the lounge, it folded up behind wardrobe doors in the day. It had little gas lamps high up on the walls but they burned the ceiling. Each evening we had light from a paraffin lamp with glass shade. We had a little gas cooker, the gas bottle was outside. Eventually the coal fire burned the wall of the water tank thin and we couldn't use it.Then had two paraffin heaters for heating. We lived like this ( on private land ) until I was 16. I was bullied at school and called 'Gippo'.I did my homework by torch light in my tiny bedroom. Our beds were 2ft wide, floor 2ft wide, length 5ft 6ins. Tiny wardrobe at the end on the floor area. We moved when a by-pass got built. By this time the seams of our caravan were sealed with putty and all the windows were sealed closed with putty, couldn't open them incase they dropped out. We got housed by the council. I'd never lived in a house, I HATED IT. All that brick and concrete above my head! No soothing rain on the roof, had to climb stairs, nightmares every night, trying to get home to the caravan and failing. For decades! They're not so often these days. Just thought I'd share this with you!
We lived in a cardboard box in the middle of the road, you had it easy 😉 (actually it does sound quite amazing, though I'm sure there were times when a bit more space would have been useful). 🙏
Govts should literally set up giant parks of these to use as transitional housing for people who CAN get out of homelessness with some financial help like section 8, or as permanent housing for people who are too far gone to get out of homelessness. Everyone deserves personal private place to live. This is a great set up.
Yes. If a true free market without state interference was allowed to operate in housing, I'm sure large residential caravan sites would be supplied and be a popular choice. Many people seem unaware that the present planning system is only a few decades old and that most of the present houses and other buildings were constructed before there were restrictions. They're all very nice and very sought after still. We don't need planning restrictions preventing demand from being supplied, and innovation from being implemented.
@@adm58 I didn't say anything about planning restrictions at all. Apparently you need to make up lies just to troll people because you don't have a coherent thought. Take your failed reaganomics back to 4chan.
Lived in my caravan for some years, working. I was alone in a small, 26 foot, high end trailer. The smaller, the easier to clean, the easier to repair, the easier to move, the easier to heat and cool. The one piece, fiberglass body, is so simple, so strong, so waterproof…water is the enemy. Their design and build seems an elegant solution to camping, much better than a tent. I think I would give one of these a go…from US, east Tennessee.
Indeed! Although the teardrops are nice, those completely fiberglass ones seem to be very nice! They remind me of the very nice, but larger Oliver campers!
We had a Freedom Microlight Sport sport for a few years until my daughter became too heavy for the additional little bed we rigged up for her. That had a wardrobe and no loo. These days I need a loo facility in the van. We had such fun with it. These look perfect. The pop-up was great but looked grubby and was impossible to clean but you could get it in a garage. I would love one of these. They look so simple to use.
@Stormbrise true the answer is right around the corner 👍. It was just strange because the first corner from the walk in was rounded but the tight place where you get up was not. It remains a mystery

Hi Cameron you have just thrown our retirement discussion into total chaos lol. We were just talking about our little campervan size wise and cost of upgrading to much bigger one and this vlog appeared and auto played. It stopped us dead in our tracks! Looking a great product and sealed fibreglass as in our 30+ years of caravaning keeping damp out has been a issue for most. All the people involved should be proud of bringing product to market. So now we are negotiating a new situation. Best of luck to all and you may see us afterall.
You’re exactly the kind of customer that we had in mind for the Capsule - someone who’s perhaps making the leap from a campervan into caravans, but still wants something compact, easy to tow and eye-catching. We’ve already had a few people look at them who want to tow one behind their campervan!
trade off of that is the bed looks like it's only realistically big enough for one person. If you're a solo traveller that's not a problem of course. Lots of little caravans pop up on the market then disappear a year later after the buzz dies down. Hopefully the build quality of this one is good enough to give it some longevity, the small caravan part of the market has been ignored by the big manufacturers for years.

Great camerawork. From walking camera it transfers smoothly into a steady stationary camera during the sit-down talks. Also; nice caravans, and a good presentation.
I follow a few Turkish RUclips caravan channels and have been impressed with what they have on offer there. It is good to see that they are now available in the UK. For me, I would have much preferred the onboard water tank for winter camping at ski resorts. Also, I do wish that this had an aircon option. An absolute necessity for my climate. For the UK market though, I think that the choices that you have made are appropriate and good. Good job Cameron!
I hope this is the exception to the rule. Some of the turkish built vans i've seen - particularly the freedom 'carpento' - are shocking quality. They seem to just focus on creating knock off clones of bigger brand vans. This one looks like it took heavy inspiration from the barefoot caravans and possibly some of the smaller eribas. Mind you, the average UK built van can be just as bad.

I love the B-Roll shot at 23.55 of the Mercedes car outside driving backwards. I thought I was seeing things till I went back and watched it at that time stamp again.
I think so too. The market is suggesting this as well, as more people make the leap to an EV for towing. They typically have much lower towing weights than their ICE equivalents and/or suffer huge range loss with a big boxy heavy caravan in tow.
Biggest advantage for many today is that being so light you can tow them behind most modern small cars. Could you add an awning, asking because if you're going away for a long camping holiday adding an awning would mean you could not only put the loo outside in a partition (we did, we put a toilet tent with the loo in the awning when we lived in a caravan) but you could also put up a collapsible wardrobe for your clothing as well (long holidays require more clothing) and you could put a couple of beds out there for kids/adults as well. These are really really well thought out and with a few extras would do for a family holiday as well as a couple's holiday.
Thank you. I am not really a caravan person, but this design is a winner. such an inteligent fuss free design and so practical. It has got me thinking.
I think you’ve done an absolutely amazing job, your dedication to this project shines through. I found it really interesting to see the whole process to bring the caravan to the UK. I hope that the caravan will do well and Leeds Caravan Centre will have their faith in the product rewarded. I personally think the caravan is amazing and if you add some of the options, it will great for staying at the smaller cheaper sites that don’t have full facilities. Well done
Thanks so much for this lovely comment. Yes, we’ve put a lot of work into this project, but thankfully, we’re seeing the rewards in sales. It seems that most buyers are adding bits of their own spec, but interestingly not many have gone for the heating.
Reminds me very much of the GoPod we had a few years ago only your van is not only far superior and better designed but also much more affordable. I wish you every success with this van.
Thank you! 🤩 Yes, we are really proud to bring it to the UK and have invested a lot of time and effort into these tiny caravans. They’re already proving very popular!
I’m in the U.S.A. And have a Happier Camper. This mini has a lot of the little things that I like about the HC, but the biggest thing that I love about the HC is that it has a rear hatchback. With the side entry you can walk through the camper and out the back. With the back open and sitting inside it’s like you’re outside, but inside at the same time. They also have a modular interior that can be removed in just minutes and used as a cargo trailer. They are extremely versatile and come in several different interior styles. Mine is what is called an HC1 studio and has a 2 burner stove, sink, fridge, shower and toilet also… this reminds me very much of my little camper… but I wouldn’t give up the rear hatch, it’s quite an amazing feature. I really like this little Capsule mini and would love to see them sold here also.
I saw the happier campers online a couple of years ago. Someone needs to get them over to the UK, the modular layout is genius and makes them far more versatile than fixed layout vans.
Wow, absolutely fabulous!! Have been looking at the Go Pod but really wanted a wash room and then you pop up with this! I haven't caravaned since I was a child in the seventies and coming up to retirement want a caravan for the dog and I to go exploring. It is quite a daunting thought to do it on my own and am watching as many videos as I can to pick up tips. I think my friends would describe me as quirky and want to thank you so much for coming up a design that I would have chosen myself. Now to find space in the diary to get see one in person!
The Capsule Mini sounds perfect for you! They’re super easy to tow too, with fantastic road handling qualities. They’re just simple, rugged and certainly stand out from the crowd. Feel free to come and see them in person, or get in touch with Leeds Caravan Centre directly if you have any more questions about them: www.capsulecaravans.co.uk
For what it's worth, I've owned 5 different caravans in my lifetime, 3 of which were twin axle 4-6 berth vans with an onboard washroom, and my last van was a Go Pod which I sadly had to sell last year due to health issues. In all of my vans with the washroom, I just ended up using it as an extra storage cupboard because the reality of an onboard toilet is just a lot more work - filling the water tanks, emptying the contents of the toilet cassette at an elsan point (a nasty job), cleaning it out, issues with damp due to inadequate ventiliation in the washroom.... the list goes on. I think the thought of having a washroom onboard is nicer than the reality if I'm being honest. Most well-run campsites renovated their facilities during COVID so you'll find the toilets/shower rooms are a lot more plush than they used to be. Aside from having it there for midnight emergencies, caravan toilets/washrooms just don't stack up against a proper toilet/shower plumbed into the mains. I think Go Pods include a portable camping toilet in one of the cupboards which will save you running to the toilet block in the night. Just keep it strictly to number 1s :)
Well said, experience trumps starry eyed dreaming! I've had two motor homes and a caravan, and lived in them for months at a time - never used the washrooms for those very reasons. Condensation will definitely be an issue in these charming little caravans if the "utilities" are used ...
@@lapsedluddite3381 I think a lot of us (myself included) are guilty into buying into the dream of a nomadic lifestyle in a camper/caravan that hollywood sells us, but that doesn't really mesh with reality in the UK. There aren't many places that you can truly 'off grid' where you would absolutely need a toilet/washroom so it does seem daft to spend more money on a van that has one, just to cover a 'what if?' scenario. Your last point is very important too. This little van is fully fibreglass and the interior looks like it's made from ABS plastic, so condensation could be a big big issue, especially in humid weather. I could imagine waking up to drops of condensation falling on your face at night.
I'd love one of these. Got all the basics and plenty of storeage space. As long as the bed is 6ft long, that will stop my other half saying that he cant stretch out in the bed! Love that olive interior, but also love the rattan middle to the overhead locker in the orange mini. Its easy to change colour schemes on cupboards and doors to your own taste if needed. Yes, would definately think about one of these as less pfaff than camping, and more space than our car camper conversion.😊
Thank you Carole, yes the bed is 6ft 3in long 🤓 You can interchange the interior bits to a certain point. But the idea was that they’re just made out of simple materials, not custom laminates like nearly all European caravans, so they’ve not only got an ease/cheapness of repair, but also give you the ability to customise them to your tastes.
Hi Cameron! A proper Tardis this one! So much larger inside than it appears to be! Amazing, I love it! I'd like the orange one with the sage green inside! Take care xx 🥰
Truly stunning. In fact, with the housing market being what it is (or isn't) in Ireland, I'm thinking I coud buy this, put it in a friend's field and at least quit the couch surfing!
I agree with another - I like the inside of the last camper - sage green, with mostly white fiberglass ....(sigh....Not that I could buy it, even if they were imported to the States... ) Thank you for imparting your awareness to these very nice campers. ❤
These are lovely. A lot roomier than a Go Pod. I love the white wall tyres and all the colour schemes. Been looking at various 2 berths as there's only me. The washroom looks great.....It would be good to see the awning and how easy it would be for 1 person to put up.😍
Thanks for your interest 🥰 There’s many awning options - a fitted roll out canopy, canopy that threads into the rail, full awning and even a bespoke Glawning package with a log burner! Whatever you want, we can make it work ☺️
Great van, only bit of advice is it would be good to have some material under the front window - for when the bed is made - think the fibreglass would feel cold to sleep against.
@@markunderwood9823 Just checked that out too. Is similar and has some really good standard options, about 1500kg unloaded as opposed to this which is under 1000. Karakampa 'mini' like this might do well in Australia too.
Absolutely, I’ve been championing the compressor fridge for years. Motorhome manufacturers seem to use them a lot more. It’s even more important considering how famously problematic the industry standard Dometic three way fridge is 🙄
@@NotAnotherWhiteBoxdon’t forget big manufactures design and build with them with repairing and spare parts in mind. Basically they purposely design them with failure points so they can make money on spares in the future! Disgusting behaviour but true world wide sadly.
These are fabulous! It's just what I'm after. Due to our health issues, it's made us realise that life is short and that we want to enjoy life. We don't have children, so our life is ours and we want to go away (in Spring/Summer/Autumn) and just enjoy life. Just need a little windfall!
Very nice and well thought out… Maybe towel / coat hook on the back of the shower door and a slightly offset table spindle to improve access to the sitting area and a rounded edge to the corner of the work top😃👍🇬🇧
Thanks for the constructive and well considered feedback, I never thought about the offset table leg! I’m going to suggest that to the manufacturer because it really would improve access. Agreed with you about the shower hooks too.
I think the bench tops should have rounded edges to prevent injuries and follow the trend of curves inside the little van otherwise it is absolutely perfect.
To Jenny Campbell. Like myself, you notice things like "sharp" corners on furniture more than other people do! My own particular pet hate - is kitchen islands. I would hate to think of a wet just- washed floor, and someone slipping and banging their head, on the corner of a kitchen island! It's an almost irrational fear, but both you and I would be the SAFEST designers in the world, because we think of all these things! Would you do me a favour, if you would like to participate in my health research into a possible link to "bad birth", which most likely affects how some people worry unduly, sometimes? I was born delivered with forceps, and had to have chiropractic treatment for my neck as a result. That took 15 years because there are no chiropractors on the NHS to fix people after forceps deliveries. But after just 9 months, the nervousness around other people I had , was gone, because of chiropractic! But you can slightly see my neck is slightly twisted even so and I think this is perhaps why I still worry unduly about sharp things! If you want to help with my health research, please email me at nigelsworld@hotmail.co.uk, or call me on 07757 086885. LOVELY CARAVAN, ISN'T IT!
Thank you, the washroom is a real selling point of these caravans. Other manufacturers need to take note of how to make a proper leak proof shower room! 🙈
Fabulous. I really hope they sell well. I only caravaned as a youngster with my parents because my father was a member of the Rural Crafts Association and we had stands at a lot of country shows. Since then, I have been a stalwart camper and love tents with hot stoves. Have never wanted a caravan.....but I really see the potential here!! Such a clever use of a tiny space. I personally would want a hybrid....the olive green outer, with plain wheels and the sage green inner! That would be lovely. I would most likely also want an awning of some sort fitted too, to maximise the outdoor living space. But such a compact and cute shape! Good luck with the whole project! 😊
I LOVE the little orange one 😃👍 You have helped design a really good caravan in these. I would love to see a video of how the fibreglass shell is manufactured
If Leeds caravan centre can also bring over the next size up with fixed bed, orange exterior and contemporary interior then you’ve absolutely got a buyer here. Caught my eye in Instagram care of NAWB and I’ve been keeping an eye open.
@@lapsedluddite3381 excellent point, I think that's why a lot of smaller vans of this size have the pop up roofs with mesh zip vents. Just funnels steam and condensation out like a chimney.
Firstly, let me say that I'm coming at this from the view of someone with a large twin axle caravan with a fixed bed, so these are not a caravan I would consider. However, as an upgrade from a tent I can see them suiting some people. A couple of things I would point out, the lack of windows makes them look a little claustrophobic to me. In the lounge of our caravan we can sit and have a 270 degree view. The cupboards whilst being full length, with the doors not being that long it would be very difficult to get to stuff in the ends. I imagine that these would be a weekend caravan and not used for extended breaks or tours. Also, as you have to purchase from Leeds Caravans, wherever you live in the UK you would need to take it back there for any warranty work.
With a washroom/toilet. The way is should be! Perfect. Hope we can get these in the Netherlands too. Would have been nice if the bed was a tiny little bit wider.
@@NotAnotherWhiteBox thank you for your reaction. For me the kitchen could even be a little (about 7-8 inch) smaller in favor of the bed. But it’s a very very nice caravan. The bathroom is such a big plus. I love the retro one. ❤️
I wish these were here in Canada on west coast, they are perfect for our environment the moisture in the air here rots and rusts things like mad. I would love to buy one

I love the white one too! I’m in Canada and that’s sad. I would buy one right now. Thank you.
Just love them! My favourite so far is the sage green interior - but with curtains.
That’s a great combination, you can have the curtains in the sage green model on a factory order ☺️
Brilliant best micro caravan and what an amazing price Big well done to you and the team should do very well in the UK best of luck !!
I can’t believe how much bigger it is inside than what it seems like on the outside. I like that it’s all fiberglass and one piece.
I'd love the slate gray, I can definitely see myself driving in the countryside with my gray vauxhall grandland x absolutely stunning 😊😊😊 xxx
Hi Cameron! A proper Tardis this one! So much larger inside than it appears to be! Amazing, I love it! I'd like the orange one with the sage green inside! Take care xx 🥰
Love the cars driving backwards! 23:47
Hahahaha I thought that no one would notice 😂🤦🏻♀️
Great review though. Reminds me of my son's Freedom caravan.
I spotted that... I had to rewind and look again!
Absolutely beautiful brilliant caravan WOW fantastic design
I like it.
So nice to see Compact but, all the essentials on board 👌
Truly stunning. In fact, with the housing market being what it is (or isn't) in Ireland, I'm thinking I coud buy this, put it in a friend's field and at least quit the couch surfing!
I agree with another - I like the inside of the last camper - sage green, with mostly white fiberglass ....(sigh....Not that I could buy it, even if they were imported to the States... )
Thank you for imparting your awareness to these very nice campers. ❤
Love them, just wish Leeds Caravans had a dealership in the Republic of Ireland 🙂
Wow great idea bro thank you bring to the UK ❤😊
I love the white with green interior. Very nice caravan.
Very nice hopefully they come to the USA soon
These are lovely. A lot roomier than a Go Pod. I love the white wall tyres and all the colour schemes. Been looking at various 2 berths as there's only me. The washroom looks great.....It would be good to see the awning and how easy it would be for 1 person to put up.😍
Thanks for your interest 🥰 There’s many awning options - a fitted roll out canopy, canopy that threads into the rail, full awning and even a bespoke Glawning package with a log burner! Whatever you want, we can make it work ☺️
Love these, they are so quirky and ideal for a weekend away for two. Well done.
@Caravanzilla123 I’m still yet to receive an email from you so I can forward the spec sheets and weights that you keep enquiring about…
Great van, only bit of advice is it would be good to have some material under the front window - for when the bed is made - think the fibreglass would feel cold to sleep against.
@@Caravanzilla123 . I did wonder, I notice there’s an option to pay for a roof light which is something I would personally do.
Brilliant, wish we had them in Australia.
Thank you.
Yes they'd sell well here!
Look at Centaur Karakampa very similar just a bit larger
@@markunderwood9823 Just checked that out too. Is similar and has some really good standard options, about 1500kg unloaded as opposed to this which is under 1000. Karakampa 'mini' like this might do well in Australia too.
You have some great looking off road style caravans in Australia.
Do they make them with the door on the left side?
Wow £17,000 and a compressor fridge what are UK caravan builders playing at come on guys smell the roses. Great vid keep them coming.
I think they are lovely and I am going to go and have a look at them x
Thank you. Feel free to call in at Leeds Caravan Centre any time from 9:30am - 5pm, Monday to Saturday.
These are fabulous! It's just what I'm after. Due to our health issues, it's made us realise that life is short and that we want to enjoy life. We don't have children, so our life is ours and we want to go away (in Spring/Summer/Autumn) and just enjoy life.
Just need a little windfall!
Fantastic looking and affordable caravan. If im ever in a position to get a caravan, would definitely look at one
I think your doing an incredible job. Looking forward to seeing the finished article,,,,,keep up the good work
This is a brilliant design. Well done!
Very well equipped for a small trailer good video very informative
Very engaging presentation and love the caravans a lot.
Thank you 🥰
Love it. My sage green is a winner for me.
I’m still a tent fan. May have to change my mind. Amazing van and 🥰
Thanks for the swift reply 😊
They are lovely. Well done. A great price too.
Fantastic design and great quality. The bathroom was a shocker. Amazing space in such a small van. Best of luck
Thank you, the washroom is a real selling point of these caravans. Other manufacturers need to take note of how to make a proper leak proof shower room! 🙈
They could look even more cool professionally wrapped outside but inside. Could look amazing
Brilliant design.
Thank you! ☺️
I like the white one with green upholstery, too. I want a mini conduction cooktop, though.
Very nice inside and out. You've squeezed a lot into a small space and it doesn't seem cramped.
I LOVE the little orange one 😃👍 You have helped design a really good caravan in these.
I would love to see a video of how the fibreglass shell is manufactured
Absolutely love these. Really nice sensible weight vans.
If Leeds caravan centre can also bring over the next size up with fixed bed, orange exterior and contemporary interior then you’ve absolutely got a buyer here. Caught my eye in Instagram care of NAWB and I’ve been keeping an eye open.
All I will say is, watch this space 🤐😉
@@NotAnotherWhiteBox Oh well if that's happening don't forget the Rena 3.60. My preferred layout. :)
@@NotAnotherWhiteBox do you have any details on that yet ?
Love them ❤ although the grey one is my fav... something for the future when our children have left home 🙂
So beautiful - thanks for sharing
Look good to me, the best part is, unless you damage the shell, they won't leak and get damp 👍
They could get damp from condensation unless kept well ventilated (especially when you cook and shower).
Yes I wish the bed was a little wider too, even at the expense of making the caravan longer overall 😔
Thank you was waiting for a breakdown video on this camper. Cheers.
Rightfully you should be hugely proud of the Capsule. I love it but just wish it was a tad bigger. Im 6'3" & I have a 2020 Freedom Twinsport Flare and frankly struggle with its size.
That said well done Cameron !
Thank you ☺️ I do think these feel bigger inside compared to the Freedom, there’s more headroom for sure and the kitchen is a more conventional working height. The bed isn’t as big as the Freedom one though, I will admit that 😅
You showed the accordion screen door but you forgot to show accordion window screen and accordion blackout curtains. I love these.
What a cool design. Well 👍
Just love these! Wouldn't it be nice to have them in the US?
amazing! saving money and will buy one! thats my dream caravan!
Would love to see a family size one. The design is lovely, so simple
super sweet little camper, love the olive one
Terrific 'tour' of very nifty travel vehicles!
Amazing. At first I thought these were a little plain but as you spoke and we saw the different options I got really excited. The basic design for longevity is perfect and as you showed the different designs I thought these are brilliant. Rethinking about getting a mini caravan again now! Lol!
Glad that you like them, yes, the more you look, the better they are! Small but perfectly formed!
What a lovely little caravan love to have one😊
A veritable Tardis! I’ve often felt claustrophobic in bigger motor homes but I don’t think I would be in this little gem.
This is exactly what I'm looking for, brilliant.
