Very curious about the insulation in walls??
I bought an old Airstream from a military surplus lot. It had been used by the Air Force at White Sands in the early 60’s for astronaut training, the astronaut trainees would rest in the trailer between sessions. The interior was like new, but all the interior parts, like the stove, fridge, toilet, tub, and such were in pink enamel. I paid $2k for it
Score!
How did you find it?
@@Tanya-bk7hf It was sitting on the lot at the surplus place with a “for sale” sign on it. My mom had bought 4 acres out in the middle of nowhere, and I thought the trailer would be a good place to stay while building a house.
@@twowheelsintokyo7039 I'm jealous
I would love a pink interior!
Dude, I've probably watched 200 camper vids/reviews/tours. You are hands down the most pro and well informed salesman I've ever seen. Awesome vid!
lol. I hadn’t read the reviews yet before I posted mine, and I also started mine with “Dude” :) yeah I agree this dude is super awesome and thorough.
Patrick is the best RV saleman ever. He really knows the details of everyone that he shows.
I love this model but my bank account says I can't even afford food.
Right there with you! Growing more varieties in my raised beds.
Dude really knows his product, true professional. Well done
He sells them too, so keep that in mind if you are in the market.
Very handsome guy too...@@colonialairstream
Yeah, so much so he's screwed alot of people.
Dude... He's a salesman! Looking for a sucker! $67 K, you have to be kidding.
@@thebusterdog921 just say you can't afford it
Patrick is the most informative airstream demonstrator on the internet.
Goes into great detail .
He should be working for airstream
There's noone better! 🙌
He is.😂
The smallest trailer. The highest price. Nice.
@@jasonfrodoman1316 Just like a Class B
I love the Airstream campers that look like it has sunglasses on with the sun shade on the front window. 😎
It does!
Patrick, very well done. Almost made me sell one of my kidneys to purchase this Bambi.
I was thinking 1 or both gonads, since I don’t really need them at my age any more!
And then some 😂
@@Jim-jl6ff 🤣
$67K YOU GOTTA BE OUTTA YOUR MIND
High, yes, but it will be around after you're gone.😅
You could live in it at a nice campground. Much cheaper than buying a house or renting for 3years.
@@theodorabruin4601Bullchit.
@@theodorabruin4601your nuts. Campgrounds have raised their prices so high that it would cost you 2k a month just in fees.
most camp grounds 10 day max stay @@theodorabruin4601
For (at least) the past four years, your tours have always the best on RUclips, Patrick! Thanks and please keep up the great work!
Wow, thanks!
I have too agree. His level.of knowledge on each separate feature, component and accessory is outstanding. I am honestly, fully impressed.
I've been watching these videos for a while, as I will be in the market for a small rv this rough size soon (4 to 8 months).
This guy may have beaten out all the others I watch for his encyclopedic level of knowledge.
I agree. Very informative.
Q
I look at a lot of these small trailers, they are supposed to be the affordable option. Every time I look up the price, they’re $40k-$60k. Who are they affordable for? Not the average American middle class family these days.
And it will cost at least the same for a towing vehicle.
You can buy lots of older campers and tow capable trucks and SUV's for $5-$10k . This is a brand new luxury trailer in 2024. Yeah, it's for rich people, but not the only option to enjoy RVs and camping if you are on a budget.
@@tdgros88 most people that can afford a $60k trailer would likely buy something larger for that money. A $5k-$10k truck would cost you more in repairs and down time than if you just sent the money to buy a good tow vehicle.
@@TheGersh18 Definitely not true on the tow vehicle. I bought a 2004 Toyota Sequoia 4WD with 250k mi in 2019. It has about 280k miles now 5 years later, I've only spent about $3k in maintenance (new tires, AC repairs, replacing all the brakes and rotors, valve cover gaskets, rear trunk handle). The car is actually still worth $6,000 today. I have a 2018 21ft rear bath with slide out, I paid $18k for in 2022, but I was still able to find stuff way cheaper had I been on a budget. These air streams are quality built luxury items. I'm not saying I would buy one, they are for a niche market. The point is there are affordable options for people if you want them.
And most of the people that can afford these just spend their money on airfare and luxury hotel rooms.
I’ve been researching small travel trailers for awhile, and I’ve learned a lot. But this video reveals little things you need to know.
I know the price is ridiculous, but if I’m gonna buy one of these things one day, I wanna Patrick made all the money from me.
This guy should get the salesman of the century award. Holy smokes.
Great
He’s done an amazing job with this tour, I really want one…
Dude… you were super thorough with this. Thanks for the info
Patrick sells them for a living, Please give him the sale.
Wow, you offer the most comprehensive walk through ever! Good job.
Thank you, and he sells them too. Please contact him if you are interested.
If I ever get a dream trailer, I will come to see you Patrick. You are a top 10 employee of Airstream
This is an awesome orientation for the Bambi. Your presenter is very thorough.
Glad you think so!
$67000. That is nuts.
There’s no way that trailer is worth almost $79,000. That’s crazy
If you think that's crazy, price one of the larger trailers! Airstreams have always been high-priced.
67,000. Do you want quality or a piece of plywood ?
If you don't want it, don't buy one.,Debby drama.
Oh yeah...those babies aren't cheap, but worth the price!
Then don’t get one Miss Cheapskate!
Airstream are known for making great trailers, but $67K for this small of a trailer is a bit steep even in today's ridiculous economy.
67k for a trailer that is built like a Cessna airplane that costs a million dollars isn't a bad deal. It's expensive, yes, so it's not for everyone. As far as prices, airstream prices have always been pretty consistent. The variations are due to material and labor costs which vary all the time.
Now, let's buy a good p/u, say $75k... 😁😁
And prize is just absolutely UNREAL! 😱😵💫
Loved airstreams all my life, just never been able to afford one! Great video tour!❤️
You can do it!
Get a used one!!😊
Yay! ❤ It's an old-fashioned awning just like mine on my 1980s rig! No batteries are needed and it is so fast & easy to deploy. 😊
This is the second video I've watched of your videos I was looking forward to this video
That🎉- is SO BEAUTIFUL❤!
There are complaints about the cost of these trailers. I've spent years repairing, renovating and restoring sailboats. I live on a 50 year old boat and have for 35 years.
There is nothing cheap about putting everything needed for a comfortable life in a 16ft x 8ft space. The craftsmanship has to be precise without changing shape with movement. Everything has to be serviceable, repairable and cleanable.
Well said.
This isn't a one-off sailboat. This is (somewhat) mass produced in a factory. It doesn't require a shipwright to screw in cabinets/fixtures assembled on a bench.
We had airstream trailers as a kid. No doubt that are the Cadillac of RVs. But have to say the price is insane.
I would love to hear more about your experiences in the Airstream when you were young. Was it fun? Cozy? Easy to clean? Helped or hindered folks getting along? And so on. I’ve loved Airstreams (from a distance!) forever.
What an amazing salesman. This man knows his product. I was ready to buy this RV and I already have one.
Cute Bambi....paint it yellow....looks like a submarine😊 lots of efficiency in a small package.😊😊😊😊😊
wow Patrick, always presenting us with extraordinary airstream with a high degree of comfort and refinement.Thank you
My pleasure!
You are ABSOLUTELY THE BEST.
Salesman did a FANTASTIC job. I’d love to have one for myself…ONLY myself.. but it costs as much as a house…
Or, you can invest your $67K in a mutual fund, and peel off $10K every year and take a 2 week luxury vacation for the next 10 years, which is the life estimate of this glued together box.
Exactly! Why would anyone want to buy these pieces of junk, have all the maintenance, blow your entire vacation wsiting for repairs , even warranty work !! That’s right, when you need it cause it’s vacation time and the dealer says , leave it here we’ll eventually look into it.. you’ll be saying “but you said-…,” ya.. you basically bought it from a car salesman! lol . Be smart! Let the gullible prople with no clue how to invest money fall for and by these plastic and cardboard stapled pieces of crap. Stay in a hotel got your little amount of time you get … save your hard earned money ! They ain’t worth squat when you gotta sell it! Research that, you’ll find out
Another great in-depth review Patrick✌🏽
Much appreciated!
No doubt that Airstreams are built well. Very nice tour of the Bambi.
You have every right to express your feelings and I think you compliment Ryan quite well. Thank you both for trying to help those who have been given a challenging time in their life that perhaps ended in their passing.
I totally understand and agree with the turmoil of the earth at this time. It’s sad and scary.
Hang in there!
Wow! You are very good!! You did such a thorough job highlighting all the amazing features of the camper, you got me wanting to run out and buy one TODAY! I have a Honda CRV and am told it can only tow 1500lbs. 😢Can you please tell airstream to make a “Mini Bambi” that weighs about 1200 lbs? PLEASE! If anyone can do it, it’s Airstream! 😀
He makes me want this trailer. Need that.
Nice job Patrick ! I have a 1964 Airstream Bambi II California mod. My plans are do a Restomod similar to what you did on yours. I have a 1961 IH Scout 80 I will be doing a restomod on it to pull it.
Go for it.
It's absolutely insane that this little thing is 70 grand
Basically it's for rich people who want toys
It is worth every penny
@@Bangabalunga okay keep telling yourself that
@@joshbrown284 No problem. And you buy your leaky Jayco and pay more in depreciation than this thing.
@@Bangabalunga yeah that's a pretty typical comment from someone who thinks that this tiny little camper is worth $70,000
Or 400+ nights at Hampton Inn. “There’s a sucker born every minute”- RV industry.
Great job Patrick! You always do a great overview. Beautiful trailer.
Thanks Anne.
I love airstream
It's worth every cent.. easy to maneuver
Looks good and will ladt. Love the airstream. This accommodates 4 people!❤
@@elainerobertson7329 4 people who are small in stature and sound sleepers. For us? Two people.
Looks more like this trailer would be comfortable for ONE person.......and maybe his pet goldfish.
Had one years ago...so pretty inside with green check...very country feeling.
I missed it. When did you take a breath? Nice review!
Now
I could build a cargo-trailer conversion for 6K instead of burning 🔥 $67K.... 🤣🤣🤣
Exactly. Smart thinking. And that cargo trailer will last 10 times longer than that glued together pos.
@@thebusterdog921 💯
I watched the whole video, I think its so cute, have always liked airstream, but I'll take that money and put it into my house. if I want to travel, I can rent one of these, no maintenance, no storage issues, no depreciation, man he sure sounded like he was gasping for air.
Sounds like Ray Ramono
Patrick's videos are always great, thorough and full of tips!
Glad you like them!
Awesome tour Patrick!
Glad you enjoyed it
Excellent tour, great job. $67k?!?! Uh, no
This looks great like they thought of everthing!
A Thor product. YIKES!
I'm sold , so nice and it's an Airstream.
Right on!
I love how he pronounced small like smol. Like it's a tiny kitty.
Airstream keep,it’s quality.
I love this little trailer, but the cost is just ridiculous. 20-25k, yes. 67k? Yeah, no.
Fantastic trailer. Puts our UK caravans to shame.
Patric great presentation and you deserve a raise.
Thanks.
Pretty nice 😊 ❤❤❤❤ small space with everything you need 😂😂😂!!!!
Geat job man. Thas a lot to remember.
Excellent video and information!
Glad it was helpful!
Greetings from Redondo Beach 🇺🇸🇺🇸Fantastic travel trailer🌷🌷
Thank you very much!
VG Host!! Nailed the selling points!! C A R E F U L L Y avoided the price tag!! AND @67K, I see why!! Litterally 10 years worth of motel rooms, even before tags, taxes, finance fees, interest, maintenance, storage, insurance, and only used two weeks outta 52. Bye-bye!!
That thing is crazy expensive! We bought a brand new Jayco Pinnacle 5th wheel 36 footer for $65,000!!
Great presentation, Patrick. I enjoyed the whole thing. I was huffing and puffing for you. Awesome job and I don't think you left anything out. Wish I could but one of them but not in the cards. Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed your video. Don
Wow beautiful rv small
Sad that Airstream no longer has the wrap around window on the back. That was the best part!
They do, you must not know about the Caravel.
Dude sounds like he just finished a tri athalon
Great, now that’s all I notice. 😂
The small airstream looks good for European roads
“All this for only $45,900.”
HAHAHA! I was joking, and it’s WAY worse than that. $68,000. lol! That’s awesome
Like your presentations in regular motion. You know what to say. Keep up the good work.
We offer both speeds.
great review!
Great videos Patrick. Just wondering, how would this modey hold up in a Canadian winter -30 fahrenheit (35 degrees C)? or would it have to be customized?
(how this model would hold up?)
Or in New England winter?
Nicely done tour !
Thank you!
Put some food in the fridge and some canned goods in a cabinet. Fill those containers with some gear and bam your over weight. Cmon, “engineers” +1 axle or put a higher capacity axle in this. There’s no room for upgrading or adding a bike rack to the tongue. There’s a cost to all that aluminum I get it but man swing and a miss. Great review though, per usual with Patrick.
I love it, but I feel like it may blow away in a storm.
I like your shirt ;)
Very nice and informative tour. 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great job Patrick!!
A “SALESperson” huh? lol ok. I’m here for it.
If I ever get a travel trailer, I’m taking a trip to Colonial Airstream and ask for Patrick!
Please do, he makes his living selling the Airstreams.
Great video Thank You
Glad you enjoyed it
I know it is pricey, but I WANT ONE! 😊
Imagine Motorcyle like this like Trike bike :)
YOU'RE JUST PAYING FOR THE NAME!!!!!!
And then he said $67k…..
Fantastic. Really outstanding.
Many thanks!
Geee, i paid 1/5th the price for my camper and it has a electric awning and a superslide pop out. You should tell people to lube the axle as well. Many of them do not come lubed to keep moisture out.
Holy canoli. I had no idea these things cose that much.
Very nice...AND VERY EXPENSIVE...again...for the ones that have disposable income to flush ... cause that price aint for the working class.
Is Airstream ever going to add 4 season insulation to their trailers?
Thank you for a knowledgeable tour of the Bambi.....
Such a beautiful and well built trailer! Some day….. 🤞
Go for it
So if the solar panel and lithium battery is $1200 and you can buy both parts for $400, that give you an idea as to the markup.
Wow.....very informative....well done sir.
So nice of you
i think you did a really nice review of the Bambi! Thank you!
My pleasure!
Good video - very interesting
