Fun Fact: There was supposed to be a big gunfight at the end battle. However, the production ran out of money and couldn't afford to do the gunfight. Hence, forgetting the ammo bag in the cab. A very creative way to handle having to change the plan.
They could have done that like in the game.
Cuing a big gunfight, then Deadpool gets a call from the producer "You blew the budget, the gunfight is off!" Deadpool :-(
@@joesnaffer4412 The crazy thing is, both scenes worked as is! A lack of gun fight and motorcycle chase didn't make the movie less awesome. They need to keep that in mind for future sequels. You don't need an enormous budget to make a kickass superhero movie.

Superman plus the opening credits to this movie alone are more entertaining than Batman v. Superman. I cannot wait for the sequel with Cable and hopefully Wolverine!!!

Yeah, they were surprisingly really good about their product placement. Very clever of them to just turn the bar around so we wouldn't see. You know, since unlike in the movie world, it's not always going to be product label up.

My favorite part (which everyone else in the theater missed) was the short snippet during the holiday sex scenes where they're just sipping coffee, and Reynolds looks up and says "Happy Lent." I don't know why that one got me the way it did.

Deadpool needed to be Rated R, but don't go making other comic book movies Rated R when it doesn't need to.

Everyone on the internet is now on this big rant on how we need all (or at least most) super hero movies to be rated R, even my brother said that. People don't seem to understand that Deadpool didn't get an R rating cause someone just though "Hey, let's make an R rated superhero movie because....well it's unusual, so let's do it!" No, they did that because, essentially, the comics were R rating, it needed it. Suicide Squad, on the other hand, I feel can be perfectly fine with a PG-13, and yet everyone's demanding an R from that one, that's actually really annoying. My brother said there should be an R rated Hulk movie, like WTF?! Sorry, but I think that's a terrible idea. People just need to leave the R rating with Deadpool.
+The Lenny Leggo Show I think it's more about making a movie that's loyal to the comics and not dumbed down (or trumped up) for the movie fans. I agree that you shouldn't start making GOTG, Hulk, or any of that R. It's not a loyal translation. However there are comic book stories that need an R rating if not for, hilarity like Deadpool, than for the dark tone as shown in the comics. Thing is they already exist. Like Daredevil or Jessica Jones. But when it comes films there are a lot of studios too afraid to make superhero films rated R when they need to be because they're worried about a return on their investment. I still believe Batman needs at least one Rated R title (maybe called, er, the Killing Joke?). That being Batman has had great films without that level of darkness so... It's really just making sure the studios aren't afraid to take that step IF it's needed.
nobleclonetrooper I know. I'm not disputing Deadpool getting an R rating, that was was necessary for sure, but everyone is taking it way too far. If you got to make it R to be faithful to the source, by all means do it, but R rated superhero movies for the sake of R rated superhero movies are just stupid.
People are saying Suicide Squad should be rated R. I disagree, I think SS can do just fine with a PG-13, not necessarily saying it would suck if it was rated R, but I think it should be PG-13 if it can still kick ass at that level. Deadpool isn't like that though, it would have been garbage as PG-13 so I agree with that one being rated R.
Batman rated R is very disputable I think. I understand that he's dark and all, but at the same time, we've seen plenty of awesome Batman movies, like The Dark Knight, that were PG-13. On the flipside, we did get an M rated Batman video game just recently.
What's your opinion on Doctor Strange? I've heard some people say that one should get an R rating as well.

I keep thinking back to Deadpool hitting Colossus and breaking his own limbs. Hilarious! I'm sure I missed a good number of lines in the movie, because there were so many big laughs...

I only wish it kept going and that's a compliment to this movie. I felt like it was too short. I left the theater wanting more. It was such a fun movie.

***** I totally agree! I like how it was this really raunchy and disturbing movie with lots of nasty stuff in it, yet it had this really good message at the very end. That's why I like it so much. It's a fucked up movie that ironically has a good moral to the story at the end.
***** I totally understand what you're saying and I agree 100%. I just enjoyed it so much that it felt short. It kept you really invested the whole time and I was left wanting more. Hopefully they'll make a sequel and it'll be good too and maybe even top the first if they can bring more depth to Dead Pools character and bring new characters in that we'll actually care about.

I can appreciate two distinct things in this film:
Wade Wilson giving a shoutout to Regina Saskatchewan and after credits he tells the audience it's shitty to leave garbage in the theatre. As a Canadian usher I wanted to stand up and applaud like I was in a fake-story tumblr post.
As Deadpool started saying "don't leave trash in the theater" some girl started throwing popcorn at her friend.
This actually made me pick up my empty box of candy to throw. "Can't be a dick. Deadpool told me to." Then I spilled the rest of my popcorn on the floor on accident and felt like a HUGE DICK! 😔
I always usually pick up my trash after a movie but this made me extra conscious about it. As I was walking out, some guy was like, "I wonder if this is just a social experiment the studio set up to see if people actually pick up their trash." From what I can tell, yes, people will listen if Deadpool is the one telling them to do it.

I was laughing an absolute fuck load at that movie but I was not laughing more than at the scene where Deadpool realises Francis got away and stupidly picks a fight with Colossus. I had to get my inhaler out because I was going to have an asthma attack.

I actually enjoyed the rather serious elements of the movie like the scene when Wade receives the info about his cancer and he's explaining how he is studying his girlfriends face and trying to remember every detail, or when he's locked up and his body is being mutated and he freaks out. "Did I say this was a romance movie? No, this is a horror movie". I wish the movie didn't restrain itself from more moments like that. But otherwise it was hilarious (most of the time) and the action was Kick-Ass fun.

Probably the frustration i have while watching the movie is so few in the cinema got his jokes, references, and banters, like that stewart or mcavoy.. Including the post credit scene bueller reference.. Well, i had a good time seeing it.. Spiderman should follow this one as blueprint, probably not as brutal as DP since many kids watch spidey, but the awesomeness

I consider this one of the great classic comedies along side Animal House, Caddy Shack, and Vacation. It's as if National Lampoon invented their own superhero and told this story. It is absolutely hysterical.

I watched this movie with no actual knowlege of Deadpool from the comics or being a huge fan of comicbook movies. And it is the best comedy I've seen in such a long time!

I even feel cautious about Civil War, because the comic was multi-issue, with tons of POV spinoffs from specific characters. That's a lot to cram into a two hour movie.
