jaguar e type dash wiring + gauges, & switches

I needed to strip down the centre dash to renew the front facia and the new wiring looms are going back in the car, I will clean the copper pate and start to rebuild the panel.

Hi Dave I used the same filter mod on mine...works a treat and not leaky like the original!
Did you do a video for the manual choke red light fitting?

I think the copper was used for better grounding.

Dave, the new plastic trim on the switches aren't as nice as original ones. The text is not as clearly printed (cheap copies vs original) Check E-Bay for nice condition originals - you'll be happier with these I feel. I wish I had those trolleys when I was putting Bettie together.

The gauges came from SNG Barratt in the UK, Just check your other gauges to see if the back lighting
is greeen or white as the green LED bulbs don‘t light up very well from the front they tend to be more side on!
