    Hi I’m trying to maybe do the same test on the oil gauge?? Will it work the same? Did you connect the wire that goes the the sensor on the engine to the wire you grounded in the cab in the handbrake?? Thanks

      Yes, I put an alligator clip on the sensor wire and the other end onto the blue wire that I touched to ground (the hand brake). The oil gauge should peg just like the temperature gauge did. The gas gauge would do the same thing.

      Thanks 👍!! Would you also have any tip on how to test the tachometer on an electric ignition jag coming from the negative on the coil to the ballast resistor. Ordered a new oil sending unit today.

      @@christopherpost5409 Use a multimeter set to AC not DC. Put the positive on the tach wire and the negative to ground.Start the car watch the meter. The voltage should change and go up as you rev the car up and down as the car idles.and down and observe the reading on the meter.
