Same, I am now married to a wonderful, imperfect man but I see my damage from the past come back to haunt me and I work actively with a therapist to develop healthy skills and lean into God to remind me of who He wants me to be, not the shell of myself that was barely pushing through after the fallout of a textbook narc relationship
My husband chooses to help me and so naturally cleaning is 50 50. We are a unit and work together and as a stay at home mom with a 2,4,6 year old…. It helps so much! I feel blessed to have my husband!
After 30 years my husband doesn't talk to me, he comes home eats and goes on phone. If I talk he just grunts. I have given my marriage to God because it is broken.

I’m just now subscribing to this Chanel. Thank you for your encouragement of what as women of God how we should be to our husbands. I wish I could say I have not been guilty of many of those things you mentioned. But I have. Thank you for speaking that truth aloud. God did bless me with a godly man. He encourages me and seeks God. We have been married 23 yrs Nov. 11. You are right how we should expect our husbands to always make us happy. He can’t. I’ve done that so many times and get disappointed and my expectations need to be with with Him, God. I do have to work. My husband does not want me to stop now. This is hard. We never had children because I was sick in my younger life. Married late in life and life stuff just kept us from adopting or fostering. I’m 59 now.
Thankyou, this is giving me hope. Im desiring to honor God by loving and serving him with my whole life, serving my husband and children, but I (22 years old, single woman) am feeling pushed into becoming a career woman whose life is all about herself. Because that is what the world is telling you to be and live like. And even Christians (and thats how I was brought up) often doesnt know better...

I am slowly beginning to see that my marriage is not just to my husband, but is to Father God, and is also my practice of being a righteous woman, and marriage is my ministry. Father God is ever so slowly changing my husband and drawing him near and creating in him a good man too. I am realizing that I almost ruined this for myself but no more and will stand for Christ in this space too. Thank you again so much! Looking forward to Proverbs 31 video #4. BTW I have been married for nearly 18 years, and more than 10 of those years were not walking with Father God in Jesus Christ.

Im reading and excellent book right now called "Wife School" and this message is right on. Something we must remember ia our husbands are people, like we are, they have their good points and bad points, when we focus on affirm and encourage what is right and good it grows, when we are critical and complain we cause the bad to grow and crush our husbands spirit in the process. We need to love the way we want to be loved, as we are, faults and all. ❤ encourage your man, thank him for something he did well and watch his face light up.

Just wish my husband would stop being emotionally and mentally abusive. He breaks dishes to scare me, saying it's okay because even Jesus got mad and overthrew tables in the temple. He blocks me from leaving rooms, once when I was pregnant and had to use the bathroom. I later miscarried. The more I try to be respectful, submissive, loving, etc the worse he gets. I'm constantly watched and if a neighbor says hi to me when they're getting the mail, I'm accused of cheating. I don't even know what's real and what isn't anymore. I do think a red flag is a man who looks for a woman who believes in traditional values. Some men really are good and Godly and seek that, but others are just doing it to find someone easier to control. I'm not allowed to work, I have no money. He isolated me from family and friends from the beginning. I don't go to dentists or doctors because I'm yelled at for any medical bills the insurance doesn't cover. My physical, mental and spiritual health have never been worse. I have nowhere to go and he has threatened to destroy me and my family if I leave. My marriage is literally killing me. So please ladies, be careful. Don't ignore the red flags like I did.
Sounds like you’re dealing with a narcissist. I’m so sorry. My words do not apply when abuse is involved. I pray protection over you and that you can get out of that situation
Your marriage is not from God, please report him to the police and run from that relationship, it’s your life and believe me many marriage like yours end in disgrace, we live in a country where women are helped
Look for free help in your city. Get out.
It’s not too late for you. God doesn’t want you in a marriage like that.
God wants you to be safe and happy, if you can't get out then go to the courts of Heaven ask God to judge over and remove the things that have made your husband a narcissist but stop thinking of him as a narissist for that is the adversary at work. Sending love and prayers xx

I lead our home, he leads our marriage. My conduct is always such that he will be proud of me whether he's by my side or not. But I run the home and have final say because my actions have proven that I'm trustworthy to do so. Just as his have proven that I am protected at all costs, it doesn't have to make sense to anyone else but it works for us.

Bible says wife should be the keeper of the home. I believe you should both put 100% but if he insists on her working outside the home then he should help her at home. It’s not biblical for her to work outside the home. If you are made to then he should help.
That’s exactly what I said! Both partners should be putting in 100% effort
The Bible doesn’t say it’s not Biblical for a woman to work outside the home. It does say they are the keepers of their home but that doesn’t mean they cannot work outside as well. As long as your job doesn’t impede with your ability to take care of your home, I do not see anywhere that the Bible states it’s unbiblical to work outside the home. At least that is my understanding.

@@nikkita1688Exactly. The proverbs 31 woman did handle business matters outside of her home according to the verses, but she always made sure to prioritize her family and home over those things.
I don't believe its 50 50... Because I didn't ask for a wife...but for a husband. He provides and protects and i struggle to become the submitted wife God asks of me ❤ I need to respect his role if I want him to lead.

I agree 💯 and I enjoy these biblical sound videos. I just wanted to mention though that it is another challenge and a hard one when your husband abusive. Verbal abuse is very challenging, but after 36 years I just take it to God in prayer. I still love being a good and submissive wife. 😊

I won’t make a video about that but I could definitely do a blog post! For the majority of my marriage I have depended on him financially. It’s only in recent years that I’ve made a substantial income from RUclips (my other channel This Mamas House) I think any Bible verse about being free from the love of money would help a woman to not be wanting, who depends on her husbands income
What if your husband refuses to lead? What if he makes you lead?
If you’re both Christian, I would respectfully point to scripture. Beyond that I would seek spiritual direction from a priest or mentor
