For real, Wanda has the delivery and chops of a seasoned comedian. The transitions were a little stale, but that's on the writers, and probably because they're still adapting to each comedian's style. I love Leslie Jones on SNL, but her take on the tonight show felt too angry for me. I empathize with why, but that kind of mood is just too draining for me to watch regularly. I think that's why Trevor and Jon were so successful. Sardonic, but never outright spiteful. I hope that means moderates and democrats are generally less into outrage culture, but I doubt the Tonight Show's audience is big enough to be accurately reflective of the common folk.

I live in Missouri, have kids in public schools, and have teacher friends. They should absolutely take the $3k for "patriotism classes." You engage those conservatives in some spirited debate, you take the money (b/c our teachers need it) and run! And then keep bringing the real education back to our children, like you have been through thick and thin these last few years. Black history is American history.
As a geographer I absolutely loved the "Without Missouri, Iowa would fall into Arkansas" joke. Just pure wholesome fun. Roy is such a joy and it would be amazing to see him as the host if that's what he wishes.

I hope she gets to come back for more than just this week during the rotation. It's so rare to see anybody say anything nice about anything in RUclips comments but it seems like pretty much everybody agrees she's killing it. You can still tell she's reading the jokes. But if she had more than a week, I'm sure she'd relax into it at least as well as the past hosts. Also, Roy is great. He has great chemistry with Wanda, and you can tell he's been around long enough to be a master at this point. I could easily see them cohosting. Or having their own show.

I love Trevor as much as the next person, and he really did a killer job for years, and my heart is still a little broken from him breaking up with us BUT! It's time we start praising the amaaaazing team of writers on the show. It's crazy, I can still hear him through Wanda, because it's actually the writers' voice. He knew he wasn't leaving us with nothing!!
