      Ballistic Comrade's Citadel Cannon, abbreviates to BCCC which is the abbreviation for the Soviet Armed Forces, uses the word "Comrade" because of course it does, "Citadel" is a synonym for Bastion whose playstyle inspired it, and is not terribly far removed from Valve naming conventions and love of references.

    The issue with this weapon is that it's "niche" has already being filled by the brass beast. This is basically just The brass beast only more crazy.
    Especially these days, Valve seems to prefer weapons that offer unique advantages.

      I agree, if I were to add a new minigun, I'd rather go for one that focuses on laying down suppressive fire on objectives. Perhaps an infinite ammo minigun that fires a storm of slow-moving projectiles?

      That could be taken care of by adding insane explosive and melee resistance when revved up, but moderately weakening the user to bullets and flames. Maybe have building-specific damage bonuses/penalties apply to the user too as if they're a building, as long as they're revved.

    Hi, I played with you against this weapon and it's
    super ridiculous imo
    The range on it was insane and it basically turns Heavy into a goddamn Sniper with slightly more health and a much higher dps and it wasn't really much fun to fight against. I personally think the main issue is the firing speed, since the damage penalty is basically negated by that stat alone.

      i think that a even higher rev speed would work much better than decreasing the firing speed tbh, as it'd further force the heavy to stand a position, and make it completely non viable to use aggressively (plus, you'd hear the loud noise from it being revved up from far away, unlike a regular sentry)

      After the damage penalty it still effectively has a 75% damage bonus over stock due to the firing speed. It's insane.

      @@karlbischof2807 Well it's kind of in the math on the gun description assuming that's accurate.
      +250% = 350% firing speed compared to stock then you halve the damage on it and you get 175% or a 75% bonus from stock.

      Neither of those clauses are even how it works. Reduced surface area increases the punch coming from an equal force because it's being stopped by less target mass. It's why a car at 60 mph will only probably kill you after you bounce off of the road while a baseball bat to the chest at the same speed will crack your clavicle apart and likely cause you to die of shock.

    If they’re going to stick with the whole “immobile sentry” feel, I think that engineers should be able to heal you when the weapon is deployed

      Engineers can just thonk you on the head to heal you. Imagine this applied to both RED and BLU, and an enemy teams engineer can accidentally heal you (God forbid an Engineer tries to melee a Heavy)

    New weapons that make Heavy even more of a specialist than he already is should not be added in tf2. This weapon further polarizes Heavy's strengths and weaknesses instead of adding a varied or interesting new mechanic. The only interesting mechanic on this weapon is its knockback resistance, and it isn't particularly something that I think about when playing as the Heavy. When I play Heavy, I am thinking about my tracking, my positioning, and the objective.
    Counter to what minigun bullet-spread was intended to do, it instead forces players to aim as accurately as possible in order to maximize damage output. Bullet-spread was supposed to allow players a viable class that didn't require precision aiming-skills such as Scout or Sniper, however, the nature of Heavy's miniguns (being an automatic instead of single-fire weapon) makes his miniguns some of the more difficult weapons to aim consistently accurately with. Combined with his lack of movement speed to aid with his aim, bullet-spread is just not something that benefits Heavy. It rewards accuracy instead of permitting inaccuracy.
    With such a slow class, there is only so much positioning you can do. You can't pick any of your fights (unless you consider "choosing" not to peek a Sniper's sightline to be an example of choosing your fights). Positioning includes your position relative to the constantly shifting and invisible "frontline" of the battle, your position relative to your environment (think shelter or cover), and your general movement (crouching to avoid headshots or rev-jumping). While shooting, Heavy loses many positional options and oftentimes must commit to fights that he cannot pick. During his fights, he typically is at the mercy of his opponent because, while his opponent probably has the ability to weave in and out of the fight (by peeking corners and firing shots in intervals), the Heavy does not have the ability to retreat at will, unless he is close to his team's defensive frontline.
    The objective is the objective, and Heavy is usually ineffective offensively. He excels at using cover to his advantage and slowing the game down. He is not good at pursuing fleeing enemies and he is not good if he is by himself; being unable to hold his own against even a single enemy by himself. He may not die fighting the enemy, but he certainly won't kill it (unless they blunder). Heavy is a defensive class and relies on enemies to walk into him, as he certainly cannot actively pursue any class in the game. With all of that said, he has difficulty attacking an objective but does decently with defending an objective. He is effective when holding last in 5cp maps because of the proximity of spawn, allowing him to quickly switch back to a different class when the point has been defended.
    Overall, Heavy is the most straight-forward class in the game. The variety in his selection of weapons is sparse, his movement is linear, his primaries are all linear, and his skill ceiling is unacceptably low. Heavy deserves better than this. And this weapon suggestion would not benefit even a single one of his problems.

      Ok, you know your shit, yes Heavy is in need of more varied weapons and playstyles, but I think keeping his specialist role, makes him still an interessting part of the meta. Yes I would love for more playstyles, yes adding more linear playstyles to him may not be what he needs, but it still has an interessting concept.
      The best thing to do is to trim down on weapons who dont really have a place in the main design filosofies of TF2 or are just worse versions of better concepts (like Natasha, Brass Beast) and replace with them with a sort of mix between all of these, adding another weapon/item to introduce and reduce his linear design. This way, Heavy would have 3 or more main playstyles: MiniGun and Sandvich combo (all porpouse/team oriented), Tomislav and Banana (mobile and solo), improved version of Huo Long Heater with shotgun or another (flank / objective defence) and this new weapon with shotgun or Sandvich, depends (defensive/tank). And if this doesnt sound diverse enough, you could even add the shield idea as a primary and design it into 2 main styles (tank/team oriented or shotgun mobile combo).
      What I want to say, it fits in, if its implemented well ( simplify it) and if, added in conjunction with other types of Heavy gameplay, making for a diverse and up to par with other classes variety in playstyles.

      Zecão Alfredo eh realistically speaking tomi banana isn’t all that good since even with gru heavy is too slow to flank effectively. The tomi is only notable for its accuracy giving heavy more area denial capability for defensive play unless heavy got something that increases his mobility to the extent that thermal thruster does pyro optimal heavy play will be to switch off on offense barring cart then switch to heavy for defense. Even with a medic heavy’s slowness holds him back and funnily enough even with a medic heavy medic loses to brass beast just casually chilling revved in one spot the whole game defending like heavy is supposed to. Realistically speaking widowmaker engi is better then heavy medic at pushing even. Heavy is just too slow for offense. Also funnily enough beast is better for cart then huo long since spies can jump over the flame and if you catch them going for the stab it doesn’t matter which gun your heavy has the spy will be obliterated. So just having the better damage output and having the cart make up for your movement speed is better. Also Natasha and beast are the only guns that make sense with heavy’s strengthes lol ( and maybe the heater but it would need a major buff) the faster rev of Slav don’t make a difference since heavy is too slow to make use of a flank heavy play style for offense. Meanwhile the Natasha and beast both have downsides that ultimately don’t matter ( rev speed don’t matter when your classes strengths are defending and objectives so even with the tomi it would be optimal to just stay revved in one spot anyway since even with the tomi that’s the one thing heavy is notable at and movement speed don’t matter if when revved you are too slow to dodge anyway) now what would matter for a more flank heavy play style is maybe a stat that increases your movement speed the lower your health is and at a certain health range you move at full speed when revved see heavy movement speed nerfs don’t matter but buffing him to the point where he can actually dodge a rocket aimed at him would. Maybe pair this with a downside of increasing damage vulnerability to the same degree as his speed boost. In other words the weak armor ability for Pokémon. Cuz ultimately while playing offensively with a tomi is definitely more fun then playing beast for most beast is optimal and if tomi is better in the situation you are in you should be playing almost any other class. Beast basically has no downsides for optimal heavy play and also has massive upsides. Natasha also has good upsides meant for countering blast jumpers. It would take a minigun with drastic stats to make heavy medic even with a lunchbox item better then soldier or demo pockets. And if they have a god of a pyro reflecting rockets widowmaker engi actually being able to dodge is ultimately more useful then tossing a medium health pack at medic. Especially considering that once you get ubered that god of a pyro will be trying to air blast one of you away from the other so heavy’s low mobility would make that super easy.

      @@ultimaterecoil1136 Between the Minigun and the Tomislav, neither one of them is a direct upgrade from the other. In terms of staying revved, moving, and shooting, the Minigun outperforms the Tomislav in both of their most effective ranges (up close), however, the Minigun does not grant the Heavy the mobility of the Tomislav with its ability to enable its user to continuously chain jump-revs. Having done the math, assuming a reaction time of 0.2 seconds, jump-revving with the Tomislav allows the Heavy to, on average, begin shooting within 0.56475 seconds of the enemy appearing on the screen. Without jump-revving, the Heavy would not be able to begin shooting until after the player's reaction time (assumed to be 0.2 seconds) and after the rev-up time (0.696 seconds for the Tomislav). 0.2 + 0.696 = 0.896 seconds. Jump-revving improves Heavy's average reaction time from 0.896 to 0.56475. This is very good.
      The Minigun cannot achieve the same mobility with jump-revving as the Tomislav can, however, Heavy can still attempt it, albeit at a slower movement speed. If done perfectly precise (just like with the Tomislav), Heavy would be able to fire, on average, after 0.6337 seconds of the enemy appearing on the screen. Without jump-revving, the Heavy would have a reaction time of 0.2 + 0.87 = 1.07 seconds. And since the Heavy with the Minigun cannot retain the same movement speed while jump-revving as with the Tomislav, it could be said that the Tomislav allows Heavy to fire after just 0.56475 seconds, versus the Minigun's 1.07 seconds; a very significant difference indeed.
      Or is it?
      From a percentages-perspective, 0.56475 is 52.780% of 1.07. It's basically half the time. But from another perspective, one could argue that a difference of 0.50525 seconds is negligible, as the difference is a mere 4 ammo from the Tomislav. Personally, I think it is significant, and it is therefore not possible to argue that the Minigun or Tomislav are direct-upgrades to one or the other.
      The other aspect of the Tomislav, its increased accuracy, is not exactly significant because it is mostly nullified by its slower firing speed. While the Tomislav may outperform the Minigun at a significant enough distance, the reality is that the Minigun and the Tomislav are much more effective at close ranges, particularly within about 500 hammer units. Any farther than that, and you'll start noticing significant decreases in dps. Anything past 1000 hammer units is mostly insignificant and is usually only good for finishing off opponents that were already practically dead.
      The last unique aspect of the Tomislav is its silent rev, which is quite good. It has the potential to give the Heavy a 0.2 second edge against his opponents in a fight as well as reach maximum damage-ramp-up immediately upon firing. Firing Heavy's primaries straight out of rev causes them to do 50% of their base damage, which scales linearly to 100% after, I think, 1 second of firing or being revved. This is significant. Starting at 50% power is quite weak, so the Tomislav's ability to catch opponents off-guard is powerful and effective. Especially when playing the class that cannot actively pursue fleeing opponents, it's nice to have a way of securing kills. Although Heavy is by no means a stealthy class (lol!), it still provides him many useful and important/significant opportunities to surprise opponents around corners and other areas. It allows him to remain threatening and helps cover for the other weaknesses inherent of the Tomislav (aka, the slower firing speed).
      Personally, my favorite loadout is the Minigun, Sandvich, and the Fists of Steel. Heavy does not work solo. He needs his team. The Sandvich is literally the only viable option in my eyes. The less Heavy has to throw lunchbox items to his team, the more he can shoot his big gun. His Sandvich is for his Medic, which is usually capable of getting his own health pack without the Heavy thanks to being the second fastest class in the game, as well as just having health regeneration. Thus, the Second Banana is unnecessary and more harmful than helpful. The Fists of Steel are the only viable melee item for the Heavy. They just turn him into a tank. They are good for peaking sightlines, passing sightlines, and surviving Snipers. The Gloves of Running Urgently are so bad and insignificant. Their speed boost is only 30%, and if you want to get to the fight with all of your health, you'll pretty much only get an average of a 15% speed boost (because half of the time, you'll be using them, and the other half, you'll have them holstered to regenerate health). And a 15% speed boost is nothing compared to the sheer survivability of the Fists of Steel. The Fists of Steel are not very practical and have few glorious moments, however, there are just no other alternatives that come close to them. The Fists of Steel won't exactly win you games, but they'll help you live more. The other options are just jokes.
      I honestly have no clue what kind of weapon concept I would want for the Heavy. It would need to be something that allowed him some varied movement options *while shooting/firing.* Regardless, on the topic of this video, I'd say this weapon suggestion was not very well-thought-out.       I think the only reason it wouldn't necessarily is because at least with the Brass Beast you'd still have the ability to move at all, meaning you could still peak corners slowly.
      Plus you'd still be able to enjoy the damage resistances... the slightly faster rev time... it'd almost seem like a less extreme version of the immobile sentry at that point

    Honestly, it just feels like a more extreme version of the brass beast, and given how much that weapon is hated. I feel that it would be hated even more. Just imagine this with a dispenser near a choke point. It’s not a bad weapon per se, but I feel like it could easily be exploited and turned into a crutch.

      JCBro2014 heavy’s biggest downside his low speed already makes him a bad pusher lol. Even with medic it’s better to pocket a soldier or a demo for actual pushing. And if the enemy has a pyro that is is reflecting every projectile then heavy medic is still not the best because once you uber the pyro is just gonna air blast the medic away from the heavy and completely ruin the push. Widow maker engi ( yes the engineer of all things) is a better pocket then heavy for offensive momentum since he can actually catch up to the pyro actually dodge some projectiles unlike the heavy which has to take the full force of everything. Oh and heavy medic loses to brass beast. So optimally you are basically sitting in one spot revved. Then when the moment to push comes you respawn as something else. Then when holding a position again you switch back stay next to a dispenser and basically just wait for an engagement praying that you actually get to fight something other then a spy.If you main heavy you need to have a co main that actually has push potential on offense.

      JCBro2014 in other words playing heavy optimally is ultimately boring for most. You have absolutely no control over engagements. Heavy if he wanted to actually be useful on offense needs a minigun with a movement speed up. Even with the tomi switching from the gru then revving up isn’t fast enough. Unless you are fighting a heavy with the fist of steel they can outrun you before you do meaningful damage then gather their friends and obliterate you.

    Custom TF2 Weapons is basically the answer for us not having new weapons in over 2 years as it shows that the community has really a lot for this games as without, it would be dead long ago!
    Also, those stats on this weapon is something that the Brass Beast wished it had, especially with the 100% knockback resistance!

    A few suggestions:
    When deployed, the arms of the gun root into the ground, so it would be a visual indicator that the heavy is ready to fire.
    For the damage, if it goes down further, then getting more ammo, regen and pool, would make sense. It turns it into a true area of denial weapon.
    I would add in some additional protection, like if under 50% health, take half damage while deployed, and immunity to head shots.

    I have a weapon concept for the heavy which seems pretty fun for me.
    I didn't come up with a name because im not creative with names.
    I imagine a heavy holding 2 lmgs' in his hands.
    Stats:
    +40% faster spin up time
    10% more accurate
    Silent rev
    Heavily reduced movement penalty while reving but still slower than normally
    -40% firing speed
    -25% ammo
    -50 hp
    Weapon fires two bullets per shot instead of one (because he is dual wielding the lmgs)

    I have an idea of how to somewhat counter the health downside. Why not use the Dalokohs bar for the extra 50 hp? You’ll have 200 hp, and if you have a medic constantly healing you, you’ll have your normal health.

      What about a burst fire electrical weapon, like the grordbort weapons? It wont be an energy ball though, kinda like shooting howitzer shells, but bolts come out. Fully charged bolts do three seconds of stun, and you'll have to recharge.
      Or a gauss cannon. Steel flechettes deal bleed damage, in exchange for 30% less damage and its not hitscan. But if fully charged, it can home in on enemies and cannot be airblasted, but it is affected by damage falloff. Normal flechettes are affected too.

I'd rather the fully charged round penetrate enemies than home in, simply because one of the Heavy's main skillsets is tracking while firing. However, I could totally see a damage penalty of 30%, and that could be reduced depending on how charged the next shot would be.
      Honestly I feel there is a place for both a charge-fire-based projectile weapon and a slow-firing hitscan weapon in the heavy's primary slot. The only problem might be that they overlap in what job they perform best.

    A three barreled minigun, ina triangular shape, that rotates with the barrels while revved.
    The Stats Are:

    I think it might be a bit too op with an ubercharge so instead of an ubercharge it could have a -35% damage taken when ubercharged because it just seems to melt enemies like butter in an oven at max heat. It could also be a good idea to have it so that if bullets/projectiles(with the exception of explosives) hit the shield, the gun has to rev up again but you completely void the damage that would have been taken(this effect would only take place while the gun is revved up though)

    or at the very least remove the +1 ammo per hit thing. It may be a "sentry type gun" but encouraging what is essentially nesting is not a fun idea. You have to have a way to force the heavy to move around a bit so the game doesn't become a glorified clicker game.

    I have a fun mechanic with this concept: every 3 kills your health increases (until 216) but after 3 kills it adds 2 more (I had this idea because of the sentrys health going up every upgrade)

      just make the weapon into sentry. slower firing speed at 0 kills, speeds up at 1 (and +20% hp, like normal sentries), speeds up more at 2, and caps after that. health would still go up until 3 though

    I like the idea of an "immobile sentry" for heavy, but in more of a tankyness way, the brass beast has the tank stat and the damage stat, why not just remove the tank stat and put it on this weapon? But better. You're immobile while firing that makes you an easy target it would make sense for you to have extra health of some kind being damage resistance or more health in general or a shield like a wrangler for a sentry gun

      LMG would most likely have the Tomislav firing speed. Maybe a bit slower. But heavy with a Howitzer to deal some explosive damage. Oh boy!
      Or maybe best of both worlds: Machine Gun that shoots explosive bullets.

    Hey joey, I would like your opinion, or anyone else’s for that matter, on my weapon idea.
    Weapon: The Walking Bunker
    Heavy would get a big shield that would cover his entire front it would block all damage, and have a 75% knock back resistance. But here is the thing, Upon “firing”, the shield would extended out to the sides giving cover to you teammates. ( there will be head level widows of bulletproof glass to see). This would give his reach about 3x as mush as before, covering effectively two people on both side (one on each side), this would give him now an 80% knock back res instead of 75%, but he would be 30% slower than a revved heavy. A soft counter would be splash damage, but since heavy could turn towards the splash damage and mini gate it, it would give him some skilled based options, while a hard counter would be splitting up. Ex: a heavy is shouting him from the front, while a soldier rocket jumped over head, this would force the heavy to ether block the rockets above and get gunned down, of block the bullets, and get turned into chunks of meat and fat. This all together would give heavy a new play style that buffs fat scout, while giving him a spot in competitive games as a true tank.

    3:49 maybe another downside to make it fair/not kill as quick would be it has to be used to get more powerful,with 3 levels,like an actual sentry, but with a bar sortof like the food or ubercharge, and when heavy dies a bit goes back,and when damaged a very small bit is also lessened,maybe make him do 1% more dmg to sentries as a joke too,and if thats too op maybe the level would drain quickly and if thats somehow still too op, and if its possible,medics could only give ammo instead of hp while its being held idk

    concept for engie
    helping hand (a stock wrench with the gunslinger welded to it)
    pros
    -builds a mini sentry on top of level 1 & 2 sentries
    -the mini sentry can shoot of sappers on the sentry
    -the mini sentry can shoot of sappers on other buildings as well
    cons
    -you can not build a level 3 sentry
    - the mini sentry will only shoot spies after the sapper is placed
    -the mini sentry can only shoot spies it will not shoot other classes
