Now that we’ve finally laid this debate to rest, I would quite like to see a comparison between the Stock Shotgun and Family Business to see what’s the better Shotgun for Heavy
brass beast has the highest dps in the game but other than that it makes you ultra slow, almost as much as a sentry, It basically turns you into a soviet tank
Personally, I think it depends on the play style and the map. Stock is great for maps with tight corridors and chokepoints, as you could shoot through the hallways and if there was multiple people, blindly shoot the choke point to deal loads of damage. If you also prefer defending and checking behind every corner, the stock mini gun is great. Tomislav is great in maps with lots of high ground to jump down from, or more open areas, as the smaller bullet radius is better in long range than close range. For the roaming style heavy, or the heavy that loves to capture points or take the intel, pick the Tomislav.
All the things aside, it still saddens me that the Huo Long, the Brass and the Natasha are being left out to dust. Yes, these miniguns are very specific, but that's the reason why the Stock and the Tomi are being used the most: reliable in any case scenario. I just wanted to point it out because I've been trying to use these odd minis recently. They're satisfying to use, breaks the meta, but for the cost of being cumbersome. Idk. I simply wish for these 3 miniguns to get a buff. P.S. I still prefer stock over tomi. Great and improved vid.

I think it would be a great idea if Bearded Expense did "The Tomi vs Stock Debate 3" It would give us a second opinion but this time with a stock user.
Would love to see it, but Joey does make most of the best points in this video. Only problems I could see is that long range with a minigun is entirely useless, it's not designed for that anyway, and he doesn't consider prefiring (IE shooting for a second (when going around corners where enemies certainly are) and then hitting your opponent.) This part makes the stock super strong, because the damage ramp up gives an even higher DPS, and because you're walking around corners you're already really close to the enemy.
What I think is: The tomislav is a jack of all trades. More useful for more situations, less useful in others, but decent all round The stock is better for what I think is where heavy is supposed to be used: close range crowd control/dps
While i agree with all of your points, i find it weird that you gave the Tomi 3 different points based on silent rev. -Campability -Silent Rev -Hear Spies Easier
They were the points summed up into single words or small sentences. There was bound to be a misunderstanding somewhere. Camp ability is talking about the tomi making it easier to stay in one place without being found, as you could see if you watch where he was most of the time. Silent rev is referring to it in general, not the specific uses. Hear spies easier refers to how tomi heavys are most likely to hear a spy coming out of the 2 mini guns being compared
@@nathanielvantassell8809 Well, you say that, but why even point out the specific uses for a stat, when the general use for the stat is already listed? If i really wanted to, i could probably list a few things that having a wider spread is useful for

The thing is, the stock heavy should prioritize walking forward in a 1v1 scenario like this. Right now, the bot is imitating you and thus waking backwards when in a practical setting the stock heavy would want to get as close as possible.

@Upbeat_Kun I mean, the caption is technically right. In slavic languages (Yes, i am slav myself), there is a lot of names like Tomislav, for example; Bogusław, Jarosław etc. (thoose were the polish ones). The names like this were made in medieval times, and they essentialy means that somebody is prasing something, and the finest example is Bogusław. Bogu (Translation; God/To the god) - sław (Praise/Love/Adore). Cheers :D
I feel like when I play heavy, I usually am at close range and already revved the most. I believe each minigun is used for a different play style. Stock for heavies that like to jump in someone’s face already revved and mow them down (ambushing a lot more than those using the tomi) and the tomislav for those who like to play a little more defensively, keeping their distance and not just jumping in at any moment. In addition, the Huo-long is like stock where you do a lot of damage up close and rewards you for ambushing the enemy team at point blank The Natasha is similar to the tomi where it isn’t the best for ambushing, but instead its good for defense. (Especially with the resistance and spin up time) it also has a pretty quiet rev, not silent though. The Brass beast is just bad. Very situational
The Brass Beast Is Extemely Situational, BUT it can Destroy a team of enemys pushing a cart, if he has a medic or two stuck up his [NA], so yeah situational
As a main friendly i'm going to say that sandwich is the Best minigun. Pros: +Perfect accuracy +Almost no one will be able to kill you Cons: - +150% chance of getting kicked -PoOtIs
Both are good. Minigun for close to medium range Tomislav for long to medium range I like to use both depending on the map. Really, this whole debate could be ended by saying “It depends on the map.”
@@Niiue even then they'll be running from you, which makes the tomislavs accuracy important again, especially against slimmer non-heavy hitboxes. plus you can ambush with a fully revved minigun due to silent spinup. so the tomislav can still match the minigun in that situation, and outperform it everywhere else.
This is the biggest Heavy-related debate aside from the internal struggle with oneself regarding whether or not you should crouch jump around the corner into the whole team.
I could tell you were going to pick Tomislav from the second you said what the categories were. Stealth? Honestly, that’s negligible. Most pub players aren’t listening close enough to hear a mini gun revved up anyway.
Personally I prefer Stock. Yes, the Tomislav is more effective when fighting at further ranges compared to the normal Minigun. But the difference is barely noticeable when it’s outside of a controlled environment, there’s the chaos of a pub going on and other team members firing at the enemy Heavy. But at the end of the day, if you can make a certain minigun work better than every other minigun, then use it.
so basically you disagree bcus chaos? you think stats don't matter and the fact that the tomislav has better dps almost everywhere bcus other people are shooting. So tell me you want to do less damage and it doesn't matter to you despite you being fully aware of this. I'm a stats type of person but still it just sounds pretty stupid what you said if you take another point of view. Tomislav 95% of time better lets use the other one bcus other things happen like it baffles me tbh im lost gone bye
@@cuppedcup i cant really argue with that bcus you dont seem to care enough about the dps but im always competitive so it confuses me for him to basically say the tomi is better but im going to use stock with no reason except i cant notice the difference even thought i know it is better
Truthfully, I only use the Minigun because I see it as; "The gun counterpart to screaming". The Tomislav is too quiet, doesn't excite me. Stock? I feel like I'm experiencing a plane crash!
I agree with your opinions but the one reason i use the stock minigun Because its the sexiest looking minigun scaring every tomislav user away with its lucious barrels of doom *ahem* ye
I really do dislike that the tomislav is a better weapon then stock but I dont want to take away what makes it unique to nerf it. Honestly one change would balance it to an acceptable level, and it wouldnt impact anything other then its survivability. "Cannot refill ammo while revved" With this change , the tomislav becomes the roamer/ 1v1 weapon its accuracy implies it to be. But when you try to deal with crowds, ammo or damage will be a concern as you sacrifice your rev or ammo to stay in long/crowded fights.
How about instead of nerfing the shit class's somewhat functional weapons you get on Valve's ass to make said shit class actually viable. Fucking smoothbrains.
“What’s better, stock or tomi?” “What’s better, sandwich or dolokos?” Stop answering questions like this. “What we REALLY want to know is Hollywoo Stars and Celebrities- What do They Know? Do They Know Things? Let’s Find Out.” Smh.
I personally prefer stock, idk why but it feels more comfortable for me. Great video though, I do agree that the tomi is better on paper, and I liked that u actually gave a decision instead of just calling it a tie

A good heavy will always be revved when he needs to be, so imo, rev time plays a very minimal role in damage. I rarely have much trouble with it and the difference in damage (as shown by the video) is negligible most of the time.
I kinda prefer stock simply because it feels more fun to shoot with it as it roars across the whole map intimidation can be useful sometimes and I have found out that even dying to a tomislav felt less fun than dying to a minigun

THOMAS LOB
@Upbeat_Kun
I mean, the caption is technically right.
Cheers :D
Wizard Tomislav vs Virgin Stock vs Chad Brass Beast vs THAD NATASCHA
"Dont belive me? Check this out" *ad plays*
In addition, the Huo-long is like stock where you do a lot of damage up close and rewards you for ambushing the enemy team at point blank
The Natasha is similar to the tomi where it isn’t the best for ambushing, but instead its good for defense.
It’s nice to see the difference between two years and how much you’ve improved as both a RUclipsr and just proper analysis. So yeah, good job.
As a main friendly i'm going to say that sandwich is the Best minigun.
Pros:
+Perfect accuracy
+Almost no one will be able to kill you
Cons:
- +150% chance of getting kicked

BIG JOEYYY i learnt the ins and outs of heavys tomislav from this and mastered b-hops lotta love for ur channel
i love how joey placed bedrock around the TNT just to protect his house and pc
Both are good.
Minigun for close to medium range
Tomislav for long to medium range
I like to use both depending on the map.
Really, this whole debate could be ended by saying “It depends on the map.”
Except the tomi is still uber strong close up, especially with the higher rev up.
You have a point. But in close quarters map the enemies are probably grouped together, this comes into play with the crowd control of the stock.
@@Niiue even then they'll be running from you, which makes the tomislavs accuracy important again, especially against slimmer non-heavy hitboxes. plus you can ambush with a fully revved minigun due to silent spinup. so the tomislav can still match the minigun in that situation, and outperform it everywhere else.
rart animations To each their own i guess.
@@Niiue that phrase has to do with opinion, nothing I just said has to do with my opinion.

im the heavy main that uses the brass beast and calls himself sentry gun, what do you mean?
im looking for heavys on my comp team. do you think you could fill that space for us?
@@SamDavidComposer I know I can
Everyone: talking about brass beast
Me: *crying in huo-long heater*
@Kattos _ you shut it the huo long can make the enemy team be wiped in close quarters
They both do pew pew, and that's enough.
This is the biggest Heavy-related debate aside from the internal struggle with oneself regarding whether or not you should crouch jump around the corner into the whole team.
I came here so soon that the quality for the vid is 360p
Same here.
@@DinnerForkTongue the quality is still 360p halp

9:22 IM GOING TO DO THE FORK IN THE GARBAGE DISPOSAL.
I could tell you were going to pick Tomislav from the second you said what the categories were. Stealth? Honestly, that’s negligible. Most pub players aren’t listening close enough to hear a mini gun revved up anyway.
lest ye be a medic whom'st just had his entire team push a corner with an obvious sticky trap. Then you notice the sound of your inevitable demise.
True that
Personally I prefer Stock.
Agreed
One advantage to the minigun is that there is virtually no delay between shots. It’s constant fire with no breaks
so basically you disagree bcus chaos? you think stats don't matter and the fact that the tomislav has better dps almost everywhere bcus other people are shooting. So tell me you want to do less damage and it doesn't matter to you despite you being fully aware of this. I'm a stats type of person but still it just sounds pretty stupid what you said if you take another point of view. Tomislav 95% of time better lets use the other one bcus other things happen like it baffles me tbh im lost gone bye
kRystal159 I like the minigun due to its design
@@cuppedcup i cant really argue with that bcus you dont seem to care enough about the dps but im always competitive so it confuses me for him to basically say the tomi is better but im going to use stock with no reason except i cant notice the difference even thought i know it is better
I know that you like blowing stuff up with tnt from playing on your MC server
0:52 joey : tomislav
Capitals "Thomas Love" take it or leave it
This video was released when people thought the heavy update was right around the corner…
Truthfully, I only use the Minigun because I see it as; "The gun counterpart to screaming". The Tomislav is too quiet, doesn't excite me. Stock? I feel like I'm experiencing a plane crash!
WE BOIZ GO FOR THE DAKKA!!
I agree with your opinions but the one reason i use the stock minigun
Because its the sexiest looking minigun scaring every tomislav user away with its lucious barrels of doom
*ahem* ye
I really do dislike that the tomislav is a better weapon then stock but I dont want to take away what makes it unique to nerf it.
Honestly one change would balance it to an acceptable level, and it wouldnt impact anything other then its survivability.
"Cannot refill ammo while revved"
With this change , the tomislav becomes the roamer/ 1v1 weapon its accuracy implies it to be. But when you try to deal with crowds, ammo or damage will be a concern as you sacrifice your rev or ammo to stay in long/crowded fights.
Good thinking dude
@Zesty Zucc I was thinking of a nerf like that or even just nerfing the tomi’s ammo so it has like 175-150 ammo.
How about instead of nerfing the shit class's somewhat functional weapons you get on Valve's ass to make said shit class actually viable.
Fucking smoothbrains.
These cutaways are just hysteric man! :D
I love how the background music is a hat in time
Wierd thing is I've been able to flank better with stock cos every Tomi heavy I see doesnt flank

@@0Dexter00 yeah I think I bought it for like 5 cents lol
I personally prefer stock, idk why but it feels more comfortable for me. Great video though, I do agree that the tomi is better on paper, and I liked that u actually gave a decision instead of just calling it a tie
Lowering the gameplays volume in this clip you actually can hear the spy uncloaking but big joey gave the gameplay a fade in effect to the gameplay sound here at 6:24
Why did this need a video? The end result was guaranteed.

@@mattymatt1283 to me it didn't sound like dunkey. So your view point wrong and you are biased goodbye. And remember assassin's Creed is a good franchise
Salty Rust damn........... now that one hurt.
A good heavy will always be revved when he needs to be, so imo, rev time plays a very minimal role in damage. I rarely have much trouble with it and the difference in damage (as shown by the video) is negligible most of the time.
In general I use Stock (Or the beast if I wanna make people mad) on defense, and tomi (or the dragon) on offense
When the man's intro includes the Tomislav you already know who's gonna win.
I kinda prefer stock simply because it feels more fun to shoot with it as it roars across the whole map
intimidation can be useful sometimes and I have found out that even dying to a tomislav felt less fun than dying to a minigun
