Guys, there’s really good deals going on right now for Memorial Day weekend. I got a platinum pass for 89.99 plus tax. There’s also a monthly payment plan available too. I just got a platinum pass.
I haven't bought a pass since Green Lantern was "new." I may have to jump back in, depending on what we're getting for the 50th Anniversary. $50 ticket plus $40 parking, you might as well buy the Platinum Pass.

You can probably purchase a diamond pass in another state and then just use it anywhere since it allows unlimited SF, HB, WW visits anywhere in the U.S I know the diamond pass in GA is $115 and I can go to any SF park in the country with the pass, comes with preferred parking and much more perks!
There are now price drops at certain parks for 150 diamond pass. Live close to Fiesta Texas so its definitely worth looking into.
I saw that, certainly interesting. Personally I think they’re looking to compete with Universal’s incoming Texas park
OMG TYSM! I’ve been searching videos like this but couldn’t find any and I found this! Tysm me and family are going to six flags next week and we are looking what could be better
SF putting a premium on access to all parks was one of the few smart things they have done the last year. The days of $60 or $70gold passes getting access to every park in the chain was a bad business model for a decade. They likely should have made it like $175 to $200 to lessen sticker shock of people used to much cheaper passes. They could increase the prices in following years as they actually institute the premiumization plan.

what does 2 specialty rate tickets mean?
For SF Over TX you get 1 tix for $34.99 (for any day) and 1 tix for $19.99 for a weekday.
Does the diamond pass include free preferred parking to all the parks or just the park you purchase it at?

Yes and the Flash Pass season pass instead of $200 only $100 pretty good deal. I got my diamond back in February for $60

The Platinum Pass is actually worth it. I got one and I think o might go to Diamond for 2024
$40 regular parking is wrong in so many ways.

But doesn't everyone just buy the season pass and get the parking for free anyway? And if you are going just once with a friend or two, buy one season pass with free parking and use the speciality rate friend discount tickets.
They make parking pricey so people are more likely to purchase a pass. If you plan to go 2 days you are better off just to get the lowest pass over paying for parking & day tickets for 2days.
@@McQ-wk5lu But at Magic Mountain if you only want to go for a single day (and need parking), it's still cheaper to buy the season pass. The cheapest online day pass seems to be $65 and then $40 for parking on top, vs $90 for the season pass. I guess the day passes are for extra friends that want to go only once and will share the car so don't need the parking option? Anyway, compared to parks around the world, the gold and platinum passes still seem cheap to me.
@@Codetapper SFMM is cheap for the SoCal market .Knotts regular pass is $145 & Gold is $185, neither include parking. You can add season parking for $85.
@@McQ-wk5lu Ouch! That's pretty horrendous when you only get access to one park (and Soak City) and their ride line-up isn't as good as Magic Mountain (assuming most of the rides are running of course!) I guess you're paying for theming and the location.

I noticed the diamond pass is the same cost as cedar fair platinum, and no there is no discount for getting that at Dorney, a low tier park. So I think with all the updating at Gr8 Adv, this brings it in line with the top tier CF parks, in my humble opinion. Not sure about food pass since I go myself and don't really eat until dinner hour but it's a nice price if my plan changes. Also I like that you can still get $50 tickets for friends, instead of raising prices per head, and just applying the $15 raise per carload.
FYI, at Magic Mountain, the Platinum pass "speciality rate discount tickets" gets a friend in for $55.

Ok, so the Diamond Pass should cover the entrance to FrightFest, correct. 2023 is the first time I bought a season pass.

Is it possible to upgrade your pass tier halfway through a season? For instance, if I were to purchase a platinum pass, would I be able to upgrade it to diamond or would I have to purchase an entirely new pass?
You *should* be able to, but I am not 100% sure
The specialty discount allows friends to pay 55 dollars.

I haven’t been to six flags in over a decade. I just bought a platinum membership for $90. I’m confused about the parking. General parking is included to platinum. When you drive in, is there a sign to show u were general parking is? Also, I just have the print out. I have to get the card at the entrance. Would that affect parking my first time? I saw the outrageous parking fees. So I really want to make sure that I park in the correct lot. And what I need to bring my first time
As you drive in, you will have no issue finding general parking. Use the voucher you print out for the parking (you can also put your pass on your phone on the Six Flags App before even getting your card)

What’s the difference between general parking and preferred parking
preferred puts you closer to the park. just less walking. not worth it

A "Skip the Line" is a one-time line skipping pass

I actually don’t understand because I am going to six flags for my birthday but I dont know if we buy the ticket we can go to the water park because I was going to buy the 40 dollar ticket
I know it might sound like a stupid question, but when you buy the platinum pass do i need to (or any others) do you still need to pay for going on the rollers coaster and the others things?
All rides (with very few exceptions) do not require an additional fee

I’m going to California and I wanted to buy the Diamond Pass because I live out here in VA and I could visit SF America. Does the preferred parking and access to hurricane harbor stay included for all parks even though I bought my pass in Maryland? Or would that change when I go to a different state park? I ask because I’m thinking of buying the diamond pass for SF America because it’s 124.99 compared to Magic Mountain which is at 159.99.
Unfortunately I am not sure, though I would assume it would work at all parks as that is how the Legacy Memberships work
Is the skip the line pass different from the individual add-on passes to shorten wait time that you can purchase(flash, gold and platinum)? If it is, how so?
They are different. Skip the line pass is a one-time use as opposed to the add-on passes which are multi-use (for the most part)

If you’re referring to the one-time purchase skip the line passes, I believe they are the same, with no tiers

i bought the 249 ,99 pass i want to get the fast pass, but like you said not worth it, if i went on busy day just want to get day fast past can i still get 50% off ? or can i still buy the season get the discount.? and does that flash pass work for all the parks, or just your home park?
That I’m unfortunately not sure about. With Flash Pass, I think it’s only at your home park, but there may be certain kinds that work at all parks
when i go discovery kingdom pick up my pass i will ask them about fast pass, if works for park then it worth it .
Plans and costs are mirroring Cedar Fair's... would make a merger of both chains justify the Platinum high cost.
Cedar Fair wants nothing to do with SF, CF parks are of much higher quality, food, etc.. Also, SF had a very poor financial year, which was really just a continuation of their pre pandemic failures. In contrast CF had a record year

CF got $310 million for CAGrAm. What coasters are needed at CFs big parks?
Marger is not a purchase. 6F debts are likely at a very low interest rate, but that might be changing depending on expiration dates and force 6F into a survial plan
Only 2 marketsi overlap; CalGrAm & Discovery Kingdom and Magic Mountain & Knotts. SoCal can support both parks.
CalGrAm might be gone...would Patriot be a good coaster for Darien Lake or Railblazer at SFoG?
NOBODY wants anything to do with Six Flags TWO AND A HALF BILLION DOLLAR DEBT. Would you marry someone who has $250,000 in credit card debt??? Cedars Fair would love to acquire Fiesta Texas, Great America, Magic Mountain, Great Adventure and maybe another park. Most Six Flags parks are in bad shape. Have you seen Over Texas or St Louis recently? Sea World/Busch Gardens would love to get the top tier parks. They got money too. I would be ecstatic if someone got Fiesta. That park will be on Dollywood level. Time to dissolve Six Flags and get each park to the chain it belongs in. It's like conference realignment in college sports.
Can you still keep your membership? I’m trying to keep my gold membership if I can…I paid for a year all at once and never set up a payment plan so I’m hoping they let me pay for 1 more year as a gold member 🤞🏻
If you're set up on a monthly payment plan, you should be good, if not, I'm not sure how you would go about renewing it
Currently, the old memberships are still valid if you’re still paying. Obviously they are not offered anymore since six flags was losing money with them. It seems like you’ll be grandfathered in for 2023 as they haven’t said anything yet, but always keep in the back of your head that they can cancel them at anytime. I can’t imagine they’ll accept them for much longer after 2023 (if at all) as they really are looking to make the parks more profitable, but we’ll have to wait and see.

@@ColiwoodStudios They wouldn’t let me pay to maintain my membership at all, I didn’t have the option to use the payment plan because I didn’t set one up when I bought the pass. Looks like I’m trying Cedar Fair parks next year.

So the SF New England passes don't offer a friend-for-free. And $160 for Diamond pass. Do the passes give you the same benefits across all parks? This model makes no sense...

I believe so, but I would HIGHLY recommend purchasing online instead due to increased convenience and (typically) lower prices online than at the gate.

There is no real way to renew as they changed passes so many times in 2022 & the 2023 passes do not really match the thrill, extreme, etc..they had most of last year.

Yes. I'm Legacy Diamond Elite with Deluxe Dining with Frontier City as my home park. I use my dining plan at Fiesta Texas, Over Texas and HH Splashtown Spring. I made 61 visits to Six Flags parks in 2022 and got two meals and a snack each day.

question buddy if I buy 3 diamonds and I want to bring 2 people with me that means since i have 3 diamonds i can bring them a total of 3 days for free since i have 3 diamonds passes?
Passes are tied to an individual. When you process the pass at the park they take a picture of the person. Each time the pass is used after that the picture has to match the person using the pass.
