I like how you describe it "loving your neighbor", I can totally relate to that feeling coming off the ride, especially if you get in a situation where you get to race the other train, everyone is just loving it and it feels like a giant ride party! My favorite ride in the park by far.
Agreed. I got a duel my first time riding it in Nov 2022, and it was exactly that, it changed what I thought was possible for a roller coaster. Except for the lift hills, it’s a relentless experience. A must ride for sure.
Note: The flamethrowers on X2 are designed in such a way that no one can get burnt by them. They’re too far away from the train for the flames to touch anyone, but you CAN feel the heat from the flames if you’re in the back of the train when they go off
Magic mountain being my home park, heres some tips 1. Never go on a weekend, especially Saturday. 2. Try to go sometime during the week. 3. Go before the summer months. It can get EXTREMELY hot in the summer, and walking around 264 acres is tough when its that hot. STAY hydrated. Stay away from soda. Water and Gatorade are your best bet. Don't eat big quantities of food. The last time i went was in October on a Tuesday and Wednesday. 75 ° The longest ride i waited for the whole day was 15 min on Twisted Colossus.
Haha I did exactly the opposite. I went last Saturday (105 degrees) and it was torture. But I had so much fun! I’m definitely going again when the summer ends
Lmaoo thats funny i literally did everything you said not too do other then soda and i still had the time of my life, but yeah it did suck walking around in 94 degree weather 😂😭
I rode Full Throttle today. It was magnificent, but the car slowed down so much at the apex of the inner loop that it felt like we might have a rollback. I don’t know if that has ever happened, but it came to a near full stop for a split second. But it is an epic ride for sure.
I rode the Revolution when it first opened in 1976 when I was 9. It will always be my favorite only because it holds such great memories for me. ❤️. It’s the only roller coaster my Dad ever rode and he loved it. Thanks for the memories Daddy I miss you!
Along the same line... I love Gold Rusher! It is really old and has stood the test of time. Very nostalgic. It has a nice little tight spin near the end. Being a very early coaster to the park it is wonderfully built into the landscape.
Very very popular opinion: Viper should not be ranked so high. Everything good about it gets overridden by the amount of times you hit your head side to side. The horrific version of scream
I think all they need to do to fix it is replace the trains. It would help the roughness by getting new wheels and something like vest restraints would eliminate most of the head-banging. I think that’s all that’s needed to make Viper loved by the majority again.
I was just on it the other day! I had my head back through the drop but the first loop shoved my head forward and I had to keep it like that or else my head would’ve smashed into the bar 😭
Everything after 15 14) the new revaloution 13) Ninga (hanging) 12) Riddlers revenge (standing, uncomfortable~) 11) Scream (rough, rattle, tall) 10) Goliath (hyper coaster, minimum air time, smooth, good height and speed) 9) Viper (crazy g’s, little rough) 8) west coast racers (overrated, slow acceleration, uncomfortable restraints, close shin guards for tall people) 7) Batman : the ride (Hanging, good in front row, smooth, good g’s) 6) Full throttle (hang time, smooth, short, fun) 5) Apocalypse (wooden, feels crazy fast, great overall, little rough) 4) Tatsu (flying coaster, great g’s, feels like flying, tall, relaxing) 3) Wonder Woman (Good back row ride, great inversions, smooth, new ) 2) X2 (intense, backwards, spinning, loopy, fast, tall, rough, scary) 1) twisted colossus (best ride, fun, good in back row, inversions)
Agree 100% regarding Twisted Colossus. I had not ridden it for years since it was just Colossus. I brushed off all the diagrams posted in the queue and just went on memory that it was a nice old wooden coaster from BITD. The first hint I picked up on was the restraints, which seemed like overkill for this old relic. As just about everyone other than me already knew, this was no longer a relic. That vertical drop is quite intense and pulls you off your seat. Since it was night time, I didn’t even notice that you repeat the route on the other track. I dreaded that second vertical drop, but it was exhilarating to say the least. It is an absolute beast of a ride. Great list, thanks for the video!
Sometimes I love being in the back of the ride because when the front drops, the back gets pulled at high speeds down the drops and giving it alot of air time
I’m glad I’m not the only one who has an issue with WCR restraints. Personally I think Superman has good force when it goes up backwards, but forwards is definitely weak. My biggest change is putting probably putting Riddler’s Revenge at 8 or similar as the layout is great and I like standup rides.
I would recommend trying the X2 as the last ride of the day, especially for first time riders. We often injured our necks on it, due to the whiplash. Personal favorite was Tatsu, but sadly it was often closed when we went😢
As my home park that I visit often, you’d think I have my ranking set in stone. But no, I just adore every major coaster old and new, and I can’t pick favorites! Although nostalgia-wise Ninja and Canyon Blaster had a major impact on me as a kid.
Haven’t been there in over a decade and am excited to go… I remember when the X was brand new (before it was X2)…. And I remember how smooth that coaster once was
Scream is criminally underrated. Valleyfair in MN (my home park) would kill to have anything cool like that. My wife personally loves Twisted Collossus. I love wonderwoman (quick on and off, new and smooth) and Tatsu is great as well. X2 bangs my legs back on the leg rest and leaves me with bruises during the final inversion after the fire. Still fun and top 5 though 😂
Twisted colossus being #1 really suprised me honestly. I love x2 but that 90 degree drop with no shoulder bars was a CHOICE and actually scares me way too bad. Went on it once, never again. X2 on the other hand ill go on back to back.
@@CoasterJam18 lmao!! Usually its fine but twisteds drop is a bit too steep with just the lap for my taste. A shame too, really, colossus was my first coaster ever. Other ones are fine :))) ive only been so magic mountain as far as extreme coasters go tho for reference lol

If six flags wasn't so freaking cheap, they could have made one more element before coming back into the station. Come off that hat top, dive into....the breaks. What a buzz kill Viper has ALWAYS been rough. When it first came out 1991, you were not allowed to ride without taking out piercings. I still love it but you definitely ride it defensively
Just got back from my first time at magic mountain. Dude full throttle was my top 3 all day. Rode it at night too, insane tunnel and airtime. Tatsu for sure is insane.
Colossus/Twisted Colossus is usually the first coaster I go on whenever I visit. Unbeknownst to myself and my friend, we were in the back row (my first time) and that first drop was pretty intense. 😂
The New Revolution was revolutionary at the time of its opening (pun intended) because it was the first successful roller coaster with a vertical loop. Loops on roller coasters were dangerous before Revolution came along. There was a coaster called the Flip Flap Railway that had a loop (first ever roller coaster with one), but due to the round shape of the loop, people would black out on the ride and many people had to be taken to the hospital. The loop on Revolution and every loop on a coaster since is elliptical in shape instead of round (basically an upside down teardrop shape), which lowers the g-forces experienced on the ride so no one can black out
I went on it a few weeks after it opened - it was the very first coaster I ever went on. I was 10. The line was like 3 hours as we watched everyone else go through that loop. Once you finally got to the ride, there was a "chicken out" line you could take if you didn't really want to go on it. Adding to the tension was the train blasting right next to the station at 50MPH. And the setup for the loop was genius. That long gentle hill gave you plenty of time to contemplate - the loop. Despite the teardrop shape, it pulled almost 5 Gs at the bottom. And when it came out, it was one of the tallest coasters in the world at 115 feet.
I rode Twisted Colossus for the first time yesterday, and I agree with everything that you said. I rode it in the back, and the airtime is insane! Definitely one of the best RMCs out there!
Full throttle was awesome, has longer wait time. I loved wonder women and batman, mainly for long time on ride and smooth sailing into the loops. I never did Grey out because had been drinking water before the ride and after. Don't recommend eating right before the ride especially sweet food. Awesome rides here, all of them fun.
Hi! Love your content, so much fun! I just spent the day at SFMM yesterday, one of many in the last 30 years or so. Overall, I like and understand your rankings here - but for me, not being tortured during a ride is pretty important. As a result, there are two rides there that I now will never ride again and would not recommend to my worst enemy. Viper was an OK ride when it first opened. The last ride I took on it, however, 15 years ago (about 2006), it darn near broke my spine. After getting off that ride, I could not ride anything again the rest of the day, and while I am not a wimp, that machine was permanently on my Do Not Operate list. I have ridden on X2 (ex-X) maybe 10 times in my life. The first few times, around the time it first opened, were terrific and loads of fun. However, it became progressively rougher over the years, like virtually every other Arrow coaster in existence, and the last few rides I've had on it have been purely sadistic (masochistic?). I can no longer find a seat on that ride that does not make me genuinely fear for my health and safety. The ride I had yesterday, which was my last ride, abused me in a variety of new and exciting ways, and slammed my head so hard into the back rest that I thought I felt a bone snap. I was till able to ride other rides the rest of the day, but I am still in discomfort now 24 hours later. As far as I am concerned, they can tear down those two torture devices, melt them down, and recast them as a B&M or Intamin giga, or a multi-launch masterpiece by any one of a number of manufacturers. A note on Wonder Woman: Flight of Courage - I rode that coaster ten times yesterday for the first time, and it was terrific - BUT, it is certainly the roughest riding RMC coaster I've been on, with a rattle that really took me by surprise. I've never heard anyone else mention this, but compared to Railblazer, for example, or any RMC hybrid modification, it rides like an older B&M. It is a delightfully intense ride, has a weird but interesting pacing and I actually like the restraints (Better than Railblazer), and I rank this ride highly and as long as the rattle gets no worse, I'd say it's a top 10% ride - as long as that rattle gets no worse. If I were SFMM, I'd have RMC honor its warranty and com back and fix these transitional blends at the rail joints. Happy to have subscribed to your channel! Looking forward to more good coaster stuff!
Thank you! And yeah wwfc has gotten a bit of a rattle recently hasn’t it! I love X2, but I can totally see why it’s not everyone’s favorite. Thanks for subscribing I appreciate it!
My 16 year Daughter and I rode this this last weekend, AT NIGHT! it was the beginning of OKTOBERFEST! in the park as well! September 30th, 2023...will go down as one of the most memorable moments in our lives...and WONDER WOMAN is why! Sitting by yourself, and it is INSANE FAST! I was in the very front, with Aurora next seat behind me, and the first drop was CRAZY! You go past straight down to past 90°...and the G forces had me holding my breath for the 1st 10 seconds...then I just let loose and started yelling because it was easily THE GREATEST ROLLER COASTER because of the single seats and the speed/ G forces! RIDE THIS RIDE! and if you can...try it at NIGHT!
I got stuck on the revolution coming into the station. We sat out there for 30 minutes or so, and they gave us express passes to the front of any ride of our choice. My first ride on twisted was at night, in the back, on a full train. It changed me
Guys don't ride Crazanity. I went on the ride feeling something was wrong. There was way to many of the seats that had an out of order sign, and it was kind of wierd. I had been on a few similar made by intamin, and I feel totally comfortable riding those. I just didn't feel safe this time. Me and my friend sat in a few seats that wasn't out of order, and waited for the ride to start, but then the operators came and said, that we couldn't ride in those seats. I asked why since it was weird, and there was no sign that said out of order, and he said that the restraint isn't working properly. The other operator looked at him like he said something he couldn't say. When my friend asked a second time as he didn't hear my conversation with the guy, the guy started suttering and saying, that he didn't know why. Thats already a red flag. Later that day my other friend was waiting for us by crazanity while we were riding wonder woman, and he said, that two people hit thier feet pn the metal floor while riding. They even talked to the operators about it after. Something is definetally going on here.
Road runner Express is cool because it's one of 3 attractions to survive hurricane Katrina and be re-located from the now defunct six flags new Orleans.
Good rankings, I wish X2 could be smoothened out like it used to be. Ninja should be ranked higher. The feeling of flying through the trees during the initial drop is great.
Viper over Goliath?!?!?! That’s a little insane. I always feel like got hit by a train when I get off Viper. I avoid Viper like the plague, and Goliath is a top 5 IMO.
Twisted colossus is and will always be #1 at the park. X2 held it for long time until this guy. Close, but you get two great experiences in one go (wcr is like a kid version to me) Can't be beat.
Ok so I was looking at this video with my dad and saw speedy Gonzalez hot rod racers and was exited because I rode that one (yes I also ride bigger rides, my did and I just wanted to ride that as a joke) and my Dad said "Huh that looks like me haha" and my family always jokes around while watching these types of videos saying "oh that's us haha". This time IT WAS US! Speedy Gonzalez Hot Rod Racers 3rd cart me and my dad, that cracked me up!
This know for sense of every ranking flag of coasters. 1 And 2 flags = kiddie coasters, 3 flag = 3/10 and 4/10, 4 flag = 5/10 or 6/10, 5 flag = 7/10 or 8/10, and 6 flags = 9/10 or 10/10.
I think it says a lot how much the dueling feature means for your #1 Twisted Col and how little the duel feature means on west coast racers. I agree WCR is over-rated; and the 2nd launch wasn’t that smooth when I rode it. I kind of think the only thing WCR has is the duel feature, but everything else is underwhelming, that’s why it doesn’t rank higher. If premier stops using those uncomfortable “comfort-collars” that would change my opinion greatly of WCR. Not worth the wait time for sure.
Twisted Collosus was the first one I got on the first time last week that ride in the very front row. OMG. That drop twice is not fun. Holy shit. That pretzel spin in between carts is freaking insane.
Canyon blaster was the best out of all the kiddies for me ngl because the airtime in the back row on those bunny hills was pretty good the end was rough af though
I love twisted colossus but the restraints do serious damage to my thighs and need to make sure the package is properly situated before being strapped down. I am 6-4” so I’m sure it’s not a problem for everyone but I can’t ride it more than twice without doing some damage to my body. X2 is still #1 for me.
Magic Mountain is my home park. I live about 10 minutes from the park. My kids and I are split about Twisted and X2. My youngest and I feel X2 is the best in the park.
I went 3 days ago. Go to twisted first, then go to the rides near that first. otherwise you will never ride it. however if you need to revolution is a great starter.
@@BertDaMonkey like i said, Go to twisted first, then go to the rides near that first. otherwise you will never ride it. however if you need to revolution is a great starter. If you dont go to twisted right away, you will have to wait 3 hours. i wish i had the line skip pass
I love tatsu so much, but the first time I went on it, I was at the back and someone in the front threw up. They were running 2 cars that day, so I had to hover directly over someone's vomit for about 2 minutes.
I made a mistake and took X2 first and made the others feel a little underwhelming. I didn't get to try Twisted Colossus, the line was insane. I regret it though....
I can’t tell if people Are either week super scared of roller coasters or overall not happy riding roller coasters because how does viper make you gray or black out? That’s shocking to me. I probably will never do that And viper is just not thrilling enough for me Do you guys have any recommendations for thrilling rides?
imo viper is the greatest coaster there, the roughness only adds to the experience instead of detracting from it going through the ride (especially with an empty car) feels like you won a battle on the other hand is tatsu, which is very graceful, but also manages to be absolutely fantastic, an easy no 3
Dude having Riddlers, scream, Goliath before viper. Yikes dude. Viper is a headache inducer and I last rode it more than 10 years ago. I don't agree with you but to each their own.
Twisted Colossus is transcendental. I come off that ride appreciating life, loving my neighbor. It’s thee best for thrill seekers
I rode it for the first time yesterday and saying it is my new #1 is an understatement of how great the ride is.

X2 is the only ride in decades of coaster riding that left me feeling ill with a pounding headache. It is quite amazing though.
You are actually past the flammers when they go off. The seat flips so it looks like u are taking it face on, but u are past it.
Amazing ride.

Gee, he asked for a comment.
Not an essay.
*laugh track plays*
X2 has been so rough lately idk what happened!
I was laughing so hard reading your comment. Ive never been to this park but your review was so dramatic. "Torture devices" lmao I love it
@@CoasterJam18 Well - I like complete thoughts. YMMV.
I don’t like intros but for some reason I think your intro is the best.
Thank you!
Apocalypse is being rough for me recently so I would like to see it get the titan track
Agreed!
i was on it today and was literally sore after riding it
I got stuck on the revolution coming into the station.
Deja vu was the best ever
💯💯💯 scary ass ride fun tho
I haven't been, but my judgement is telling me Tatsu
Good rankings, I wish X2 could be smoothened out like it used to be. Ninja should be ranked higher. The feeling of flying through the trees during the initial drop is great.
Do this again. I went yesterday and scream was the smoothest ride ever
7:17 I recently went on coast rider with my mom at knotts. She wasn't a fan of the shin guards there
Viper over Goliath?!?!?! That’s a little insane. I always feel like got hit by a train when I get off Viper. I avoid Viper like the plague, and Goliath is a top 5 IMO.
Going tomorrow, scared of Goliath and X2😂😂😂😂.
OH MY GOD THAT AMOUNT OF RUST ON THE MID COURSE ON GOLLIATH?
I’ve only been once, going back this april though! My favourite ride my first visit was Tatsu by far
I love the over the shoulder harness in wonder woman. You're crazy.
It’s so good!
I'll be there soon can't wait to ride em & I always use flash pass too
Twisted colossus is and will always be #1 at the park.
Goliath and riddler's revenge are so underrated
I think it says a lot how much the dueling feature means for your #1 Twisted Col and how little the duel feature means on west coast racers. I agree WCR is over-rated; and the 2nd launch wasn’t that smooth when I rode it. I kind of think the only thing WCR has is the duel feature, but everything else is underwhelming, that’s why it doesn’t rank higher. If premier stops using those uncomfortable “comfort-collars” that would change my opinion greatly of WCR. Not worth the wait time for sure.
My favorite theme park,,,,, of all times ❤❤
great channel you deserve more subs
Thank you!
Twisted Colossus drops are so underrated
When I went I got front and back row on twister colossus but x2 was not open but I had a great ride on tatsu
Viper 🎉
X2
TC
Tatsu
Full throttle
Apocalypse are my favorite
Twisted Collosus was the first one I got on the first time last week that ride in the very front row. OMG. That drop twice is not fun. Holy shit. That pretzel spin in between carts is freaking insane.
X2 is my #1 anywhere in the country that I've been on so far
Very nice content 👌
You should have a back breaker list 😂 one reason I haven’t gone to six flags in a long time.
Is twisted colossus built on the old colossus frame? Also is Flashback still there?
Canyon blaster was the best out of all the kiddies for me ngl because the airtime in the back row on those bunny hills was pretty good the end was rough af though
How do you not like Superman? It goes up to 100 mph so quickly idk what he’s on about
X2 is the best and it's not even close
I MISS DE-JA-VU 🔥
X2 is my favrite
My favorite ride is x2. Its a very unique roller coaster
I will be riding all of them next month minus the kiddie coasters😂
I love twisted colossus but the restraints do serious damage to my thighs and need to make sure the package is properly situated before being strapped down. I am 6-4” so I’m sure it’s not a problem for everyone but I can’t ride it more than twice without doing some damage to my body. X2 is still #1 for me.
to be honest, my first ride on x2 was a night ride but i wasnt nervous before riding it for some reason
I just rode X2 on an outside seat and I felt like I was in a car crash 😂 my neck was banging the headrest
My personal opinion is Wonder Woman was the absolute best. It was SMOOTH and fast AF
I onylu go to the six flags arlington tx
and u should go there and it is so fun
Imagine riding this coaster at night. 😮
Magic Mountain is my home park. I live about 10 minutes from the park. My kids and I are split about Twisted and X2. My youngest and I feel X2 is the best in the park.
When I used to go there as a teen in the 80s, they would let us ride Colossus backwards if it was after 11:30. do they still do that?
I can't wait for my first visit ever in less than two weeks 😭
I went 3 days ago. Go to twisted first, then go to the rides near that first. otherwise you will never ride it. however if you need to revolution is a great starter.
How was it? I’m going next week
@@BertDaMonkey it was great
@@Paulburg3r any recommendations on what to go on first
@@BertDaMonkey like i said,
Go to twisted first, then go to the rides near that first. otherwise you will never ride it. however if you need to revolution is a great starter.
Yummy
You forgot Lex Luther’s drop of doom because it counts as a roller coaster
I made a mistake and took X2 first and made the others feel a little underwhelming. I didn't get to try Twisted Colossus, the line was insane. I regret it though....
I got a duel on my first drop with twisted colossus the second time around the other cart was still at bay
I can’t tell if people Are either week super scared of roller coasters or overall not happy riding roller coasters because how does viper make you gray or black out? That’s shocking to me. I probably will never do that And viper is just not thrilling enough for me
Do you guys have any recommendations for thrilling rides?
Anyone else watching this before every magic mountain trip…? Anyone…?
imo viper is the greatest coaster there,
the roughness only adds to the experience instead of detracting from it
going through the ride (especially with an empty car) feels like you won a battle
on the other hand is tatsu, which is very graceful, but also manages to be absolutely fantastic, an easy no 3
“Feels like you won a battle” lmao best description ever 😂
2:30 I got no problem with Superman escape from krypton.
Twisted Colosus, And Tatsu are my favorites
Dude having Riddlers, scream, Goliath before viper. Yikes dude. Viper is a headache inducer and I last rode it more than 10 years ago. I don't agree with you but to each their own.
IN MY OPINION…
Road runner express at six flags fiesta Texas is WAY different
Twisted colossus is definitely the best coaster at six flags
I seriously cannot remember what twisted colossus feels like. I rode it a couple years ago and there like no memory of it.
I done all of the rollercosters in one day all were fan
You’re the only person I know of that will “grey out” or “black out” on Viper lol.
It's his home park so he gets regular concussions
I grayed out on my first ride of Viper on the 3rd loop, but it was my first upside down coaster and i didnt know what to expect.
