Airtime thrills: viper good
Natalie it’s literally the worst lol
It’s my second favorite in the park. It’s super underrated
It is good though
MSTANG_GT Im just poking fun at him because a lot of enthusiasts seem to hate it, but I’ve heard its gotten better.
Its gotten to the point where its smoother than half the rides there
Had a boring dull Thursday, but not anymore! Lets go!!
Woop woop
100th like paty
Just in time for Defunctland to talk about Magic Flyer’s origins.
By the way, I know for a fact that I have the credit on Magic Flyer.
Yeah I thought that was really cool that it came out yesterday
Airtime Thrills can you explain the credit system
Ethan 2 Lawless in his earlier days he made a video on what is and isn’t a credit. m.ruclips.net/video/RkKuzBrMC10/видео.html
Dosware Pictures thank you kind sir
David Scarpa if that’s the case then I’m guessing it’s because of the front car.
14:41 You tried to hide it, but failed.
I cant stand it when that happens
Velour Watts Oh a bad pun that was actually amazing
Airtime Thrills you just did it again lol

The pretzel loop is getting me too...damn im getting old😂
I rode it a couple weeks ago and I almost greyed out on it, and I'm fairly certain someone on the train crapped themselves on it.
I rode it a couple of months ago, and had to sit the rest of the rides out to recover. It was 1:00 p.m.
I enjoy the pretzel loop and understand that it's forceful, but I don't really see how it causes grey-outs. You're on your back, so your blood doesn't really rush out of your head, or so I'd think. Not denying anyone's experience here, I'm just missing something to logically put it together.
As a side note, I'd really love to see a flying coaster that has a half-loop as the first drop.
I was 42 when I rode Tatsu for the first time, and I had the absolute time of my life. So much so that I spent the rest of my day loop - riding it (managed about 5 or 6 rides getting back in line and riding again). It's my personal favorite coaster. I absolutely *love* the pretzel loop. So.... likely not related to age. :)
I rode it in the front, and though it had quite a bit of G force, it was more of a constant pressure, and was a huge plus side to the ride that makes it my favorite coaster I’ve been on.
Ninja is one of the best night rides at SFMM. They made the right decision to never light the layout.
You know whats the best Ninja? The one at St. Louis
Psyclone was so much fun back in the mid-90s. I remember riding in 1992. The original wooded queue with the Looney Tunes vidjoes!
I know the internet has lost of resources to get information, but it still blows my mind you are able to gather all this info with the backgrounds and all. Very impressive.
I’ll be going to the park for the first time on Monday
Old School Video
Oh! I hope you have fun!
Have fun
My first looping roller coaster was the Great American scream machine so I’m excited to ride Viper
14:35 "Riddler was a huge stand-up that did not stand the test of time"
I see what you did there 😂
Mike Fangman I had no idea that Airtime Thrills loves Jojo.
Fine like wine
Sfmm is the best six flags park and you can’t change my mind. It’s not even my own park.
puppetuppers what is your home park?
Sean Lewis six flags great America
Patrick Cadiz what’s your favorite ride
puppetuppers Pretty sure it’s most people’s favorite.
puppetuppers AYYY
One day I’ll go to Magic Mountain to ride these coasters!
Vortex Luigi Rosalina 55 well I’ve been to SFMM, but have only ridden Magic Flyer and Speedy Gonzales, on separate visits.
Dosware Pictures literally how
H V Gee I don’t know, maybe they were YOUNGER?
West coast racers above Tatsu is erroneous! Love the list other than that. Plus maybe scream is to low?
Scream does nothing for me personally. And i enjoy WCR more than Tatsu at least for now
@@AirtimeThrills bruh the airtime at the begging 😱
Agreed! Tatsu is my favorite at MM
scream is a snoozefest imo
West coast racers sucked.
I’m glad six flags magic mountain is your home park cause I LOVE SFMM videos!
bet
Six flags mehgic mountain
I really can't wait until April 18 when I make my first ever visit to Magic Mountain. Its a physics field trip that I have been anticipating since August (saw it in a syllabus) and the school board is allowing the trip for the first time in nearly a decade this year. SO EXCITED!!!
Also excited about you going to my old home park that's across the country from where I live now with Great Escape.
My home park is great escape
@@bubblegaminglol Same, not a bad little park. Despite SF running it it has still managed to keep some of its charm
Same I’m going in March 13 for a avid program field trip
Ur gonna love it and its gonna be really scary at first I never rode any big rides before magic mountain but goliath was the first ride i rode cuz fully throttle always has a delay in the morning and tbh I'm surprised i went on the the ride
im going to the park too at the end of july ! :D i live in france so its reallyyyy far but im going for 3 days, i did cedar point last year and this is definitely something else !!!
gotta love it, i cant wait !!
8:07 holy crap the headbanging!
I noticed that too. Thats severe
Can confirm; that was accurate.
Why did they all have such serious faces though???
@@eagl3seyes I dunno probably for theming
You missed the perfect opportunity to say you had deja vu of deja vu with aftershock and silverwood
Chatie 24 and also play the Intital D song.
Too obvious
they predicted the meme, best boomerang ever
I started going to SFMM since 1987 and I worked at the park from 1998-2000. Flashback is the only ride I worked at where the crew would argue over who had to do safety rides. Sometimes the lead would give you a choice, go change trash can bags and sweep out the que line or do the safety ride. I got wise to this and managed to always make sure I was close to the broom and pans.
A few thoughts. First, Magic Flyer (under a different name) was my first coaster ever as a kid back in the early nineties and it will always have a special place in my heart.
Second, I'm really surprised that Riddler's Revenge didn't make it in the top 10. Even if it is a stand up coaster I still think it's fantastic. Though you do have to position the seat just right.
Last, I'm super glad you rank Viper so highly. I'm tall as well so it's not an issue and I still love that coaster. I remember as a kid thinking that it looked like the scariest coaster in the world but I lived it the first time I was tall enough to ride. It gets so much hate but it's a classic and the park needs to keep in running for a long time.
I’m short so these kind of coaster are a nightmare for me but I’m glad you enjoy them!
It will be a crime if they ever shut Viper down. Great ride and there’s never a line so you can go on it a bunch, one of my favorite at the park

here me out, full throttle is one of the best coasters in the park. Personally top 3 at sfmm. I recently got a front row ride at night. The insane hangtime on the loop gave me a chance to see valancia with all its lights on but up-side down. This was one of the coolest experiances of my life. I can agree with you that it couldve been so much more, but its still an amazing ride even though its very short.
my first loop
Every element is glorious, my favorite at the park (though I gotta get a re-ride on Twisted Colossus first)
Twisted Colossus is amazing. And even though it's an amazing RMC, there are still others like it in the country, so if you have ridden an RMC, you know what to expect, plus the fact that it isn't consistent with duels removes some value. X2 on the other hand is an absolute monster. It's the most insane coaster I have ever ridden, even looking at it still gives me shivers. So I definitely prefer X2 over TC.
True, for that reason I wouldnt put it on anyones bucket list and would definitely have X2 there. But the airtime it delivers is just amazing
The Reverend Jim Jones no such thing as a weak RMC!!
Hyperskreem 82 I haven’t ridden any rmc’s besides joker and tc but there is no way it is the weakest
i think x2 has to take my #1 spot even though i love twisted colossus. im pretty jaded when it comes to rollercoasters and not a whole lot scares me. x2 is the only coaster that still gives me butterflies when im going up the lift hill.
Every time I have ridden X2 it has been horribly rough. Why do people over look the roughness of this ride?
It's not the trains that made Psyclone rough it was the fact the ride was structurally damaged during the North Ridge earthquake and SF just decided to band aide fix it (heard it was decent before that). Also I rode a clone of Shockwave: La Cobra at La Ronde and it was awful worse than all the B&M stand ups I have ridden
I rode either it’s first or second season, don’t remember it being bad at all
I heard they added a lot of trim brakes to it, which made it crawl through every turn. They would've been better off getting lighter trains that didn't tax the track so much.
Thank god it’s dead forever
Oh and don’t ever touch Riddlers Revenge. Stand-up coasters are amazing and Riddler is the cream of the crop. Wouldn’t want it around in any other form and I loathe what they did to my precious Vortex at CGA.
Yeah, even though a lot of the early stand-ups were highly flawed or boring, as a ride type they get way more hate than they deserve. Riddler’s easily in my top 10.
I threw up after riding Riddler's Revenge and I took a motion sickness pill which usually keeps me from getting sick so I don't know how that happened and it hurt my crotch so I've had one too many bad experiences with that ride to want it to stay a stand-up. I'd rather them convert it to a floorless
i was shocked when they made vortex a floorless lol. and i agree that riddlers is one of the best examples of a stand ups and is truly massive compared to all the others ive ridden
I absolutely agree. Stand up coasters are awesome, and Riddler’s Revenge is the best of the bunch. CGA is my home park, and I remember being shocked when Vortex became a floorless. Patriot is fun, but I think Vortex was more intense
@@beachboysswiftie and the sign for Vortex was too cool!
My wife is at magic mountain for the first time ever right now! She loves the park!
“...This was a match made in hell.” 😂
This is amazing!!! When the thumbnail said past and present I was like oh nice and immediately clicked the video!!!
you daughter has more credits than me :(
Love your content man, it’s some of the best coaster stuff out there!
I remember going to magic mountain for the first time in 2008 when I was 11 and riding 3 coasters that absolutely shocked me and seriously raised the bar for what I expect of roller coasters: deja vu, X2, and the demonic pretzel loop in tatsu. Loved the video!
Honestly I expected SFMM to have more defunct coasters. Good to know the top 6 are still operating
CameronPMedia well Cedar Point has more defunct coasters, but the first coaster in the park opened 79 years before Magic Mountain did.
Holy cow! I didn’t know Sarajevo Bobsleds morphed into La Vibora. I rode it at Magic Mountain when I was an undergrad at UCLA. Too cool.
I’m an avid advocate for Goldrusher and spot 20 is too low. Well actually anything lower than 1 is too low
SFMM is my home park as well. I agree with most of the list! X2 and Twisted fight hard for first. I think you were right initially in putting WCR around full throttle. Also, I love Viper like you, but that giant plot of land that it sits on will make for something big in the coming years.
I rode viper for the first time other day and I actually found it quite smooth too and I think it is a great ride.
You just gained me a credit, I didn't know (I never looked into it) that Magic Flyer was other names back when. I remember riding the coasters in the kiddie area way back when when it was in the spot Chop Six was in over by Viper.
Kylis well I knew I rode it when it was Percy’s Railway in 2008.
I didnt know the original location prior to Goliath Jr, thats interesting
I don’t understand the obsession with the boomerang concept. I could never stand it. It was so short and pointless. I do love Goliath so much. It’s genuinely so fun. Totally different opinions but I do love your videos!
Yes! Goliath is super underrated! I have been on x2 and twisted and it's still my top 2.
10:09 lol like the reference but it's also kinda sad since it probably would be one of the better coasters
18:05 you might say you got Deja vu
I HAVE BEEN IN THIS PLACE BEFORE

I somehow knew that this comment would follow those lyrics
And i know it’s my time to goooo
I actually think Riddlers would be worse with sit down or floor less trains. It’s stand up makes it such a unique experience for that killer layout. Just lock it in correctly and it’s a blast
Devin Schroath well if anything happens to the ride, they should tease it with riddles.
I’m surprised you didn’t rank Flashback below the kiddie coasters!!
Shockwave was an awkward ride, but it was definitely not as terrible as Carowinds’ Vortex.
And I’m glad that you only had kind things to say about my beloved Goldrusher, despite its understandably low ranking.
Flashback was such a bucket list coaster for me in the old days so I have a little affinity for it
Airtime Thrills That’s one I never got to ride. From all I’ve ever heard, I considered myself lucky.
Bro, you are the Roller Coaster GOD! Thanks for this. You even got historic photos of coasters I've never heard of at Magic Mountain. You're the man! R.E.S.P.E.C.T.
Where is the Larson Loop
;)
OOF MODZZ I’m still waiting for one at this park
Carson Lipscomb it will be there “20th” Coaster lol
Omg giga Larson loop!!!
Matthew Beem every Coaster enthusiasts dream
Thats too low brow for this park
Went yesterday for the first time ever, with a couple of buddies. All I can say is Twisted Colossus and Tatsu are my favorite so far!!
Gold rusher is one of my least favorite arrow mine trains. I went on it as a kid and didn’t appreciate the landscape and found it to take jerks at high speeds. I think if I went on it now I’d like it more
Chiris, did you know Psyclone was actually not that bad when it opened...it was bumpy, but not terrible.
But once the Northridge Earthquake struck it....it pretty much killed the coaster and messed up its laterals and track despite repairs after the quake.
Right, that seems to be the consensus. Plus it was brand new before the quake
I don’t know why scream is
so low it’s actually a really fun B&M Floorless coaster
Compared to other floorlesses the elements arent great and its rough
Amazing video dude, I really appreciate all the work you put into your videos
Haven't been there in years but i remember the Viper being my favorite with Colossus and Goliath at 2&3. Seeing Goliath at 15 kinda breaks my heart a little but then again i haven't ridden the newer ones on this list to give it a goid comparison.
Kudos for remembering Mountain Express. This may have been the very first coaster I ever tried--it was at the very front of the park-- when I first started going to MM in the '70s. I don't know what your definition of a roller coaster is, but Swiss Twist was a coaster to me and it was simple but fun. It was there a looooooong time. Coaster cars, coaster wheels, coaster track. Yup, it was a coaster.
SFMM is also my home park. I have been going off and on since 2001. I have been on many of the coasters you mentioned on this list, including Psyclone and the original Colossus (which was my first wooden coaster). I have yet to go on West Coast Racers and Twisted Colossus. I love it when you drive up the mountain to enter the parking lot and you see X2 right next to the road. It is the perfect way to just pump you up for a great day of fun.
I rode Road Runner Express in its original location, but that's about all I can say. When I lived on the West Coast, the only coaster I remember riding was at Knott's Berry Farm, but it would've been cool to get back to RRE after so many years.
X5 coming once we stop making free spins

Thanks Airtime Thrills for ranking the coasters, I'm going to Magic Mountain this summer for the first time but only for a day so I'll use your rankings to see which coasters I should go on first since you have so much experience on the park.
Awesome list I definitely need to ride WCR and reride Apocalypse and Viper.
Feels like Magic Mountain is underrated. Being from Phoenix, this is the only coaster park I can really go to, but I still feel like its one of the best.

This needs to be pinned to the top! Well done!
So before I became a huge roller coaster freak, when I was a young boy, I was terrified of roller coasters. I finally rode my first roller coaster with a flip in it when I was very young. It was the silver bullet at Frontier City in Oklahoma. I'll never forget that day.
I appreciate the respect you give to the schwarzkopf wildcat. Had a chance to ride one at the North Georgia state far last fall and was thoroughly impressed.
OG Colossus was one of the first rollercoaster that help build my fascination with rollercoasters when I was a kid and I will be forever disappointed that I never got a chance to ride it in its original form
your the only person who would rank viper that high. its a classic but god damn its rough
3:23 Airtime myke be vibin

Mountain Express! Now that's a coaster I haven't thought about in a long time. I have been going to Magic Mountain since 1972 (it's my home park too) and used to ride it all the time. From what I remember it was a great coaster. Favorite coasters for me now are probably Twisted Colossus, Tatsu, and the new Wonder Woman. Love Full Throttle and West Coast Racers. X2 and Viper are just too rough for me at 60. I would rank Goliath, Revolution and Goldrusher higher. I can't believe Revolution is still so smooth. I rode it when it first opened in 1976. Totally agree Green Lantern was the worst ever. Psyclone sucked too.
18:05 missed opportunity you should have said it gives me Deja Vu lol
"Terminator Salvation the ride, now known as apocalypse" I still call it Terminator, but you already knew that 😂😂😂
0MindSwept0 just don’t call it Terminator: The Ride, since T2: 3D was a thing.
@@DoswarePictures I either say Terminator or Terminator Salvation (mostly Terminator cause it's shorter 😅😅), cause adding "the ride" to the name is arbitrary since it's obviously a ride, the longer a name is that you have to say repeatedly the more annoying it gets, and they didn't change anything about the theming (it's still a dump..) so why call it anything else? (Also the new name is stupid >.>)
@@TS_Mind_Swept wait...ITS A RIDE? WHY DIDNT ANYONE TELL ME
One night at Great Adventure, my friend and I rode Shockwave 20 times in a row, after seeing the Smithereens play live. The park was empty. The bobsled ride was the first rollercoast to not scare me as a kid
I'm going back to Six Flags Magic Mountain in May to get on West Coast Racers in my 2020 Southern California trip. Plus, I'm currently in a hotel in San Antonio Texas and I'm riding Texas Stingray for my first time tomorrow and it would be my first coaster of the decade.
please don’t waist your time. i have a pass to six flags, and i waited 5 hours for west coast racers. NOT WORTH IT. it’s forceless, and over all boring.
I'm doing it at that time so I can also ride Emperor at Sea World San Diego as well.
Tatsu’s Pretzel loop one of my favorite elements
I remember Shockwave (Batman) at Astroworld but never rode it as a kid. Don't remember if I was too short of just scared, but now I regret it.

@@coasterhockygamingboy9549 how is it a r/woooosh, there is no joke he is getting, please leave the r/ stuff to people that actually know how to use it
I never got to ride deja vu at SF over GA. It was always closed down. The one time I was determined to ride, I waited two hours, and it broke down right when I was next to ride it.
All I remember about psyclone was that high pitched squealing in the tunnel. I have fond memories of flashback though (but I also rode it in the mid 90s), however controversial that opinion might be.
Kylis how are fond memories of Flashback physically possible? 😜
@@scottyjbd I remember in my early teens closing my eyes and pretending I was in a space fighter. Funny enough this was decades before I knew what type of roller coaster it was. Also when I rode it, it wasn't rough.
Kylis wow brave enough to close your eyes!! I could practically stand up while in restraints, so if I did this, I could push my head above the restraints and THEN it was marginally enjoyable. Were you a tall kid?
@@scottyjbd No, pretty short. I'm 5'5" now and I'm 38.
Flashback was a chiropractor dream coaster. Lots of business from people after riding it
I rode the majority of Magic Mountain's coasters for the first time yesterday (despite it, too, being my home park bc I've never lived more than a hour away from it, I just never went there bc I was a pussy), and I have no objections to your top 5. Everyone always told me X2 was life changing coaster, but honestly Twisted Colossus is what stuck with me. I did actually get to ride OG Colossus a few times as a youngster bc it wasn't so intense, but Twisted Colossus kicked my ass. I had such a fucking blast on the ride. Easily my favorite ride that day hands down, with X2 taking a close second for also absolutely kicking my ass
I heard Psyclone was actually a great ride during the first few years of its life but the Northridge earthquake of 1994 caused a lot of structural damage, and it just wasn’t the same since. They couldn’t fix it up to its original state no matter what they did.
That was my experience. Loved it... briefly.
Psyclone was a blast when it first opened. I loved i!
Just came back from a California rode trip including this park. It was dead and we had the ride's to
ourselves. Never have I had a headache and enjoyed myself so much at the same time.
Don't be too sad you didn't experience Shockwave. I've ridden Cobra at La Ronde, and it was one of the worst coasters I've experienced. So don't feel bad that you've never ridden an Intamin Stand-Up
Nice video! Six Flags Magic Mountain is now my home park after I grew up with Six Flags Great America. Here are my thoughts on it.
X2: I find myself enjoying this coaster more and more, It may leap frog Twisted Colossus as my favorite coaster in the park. It is real close. I really like Twisted Colossus in the back row, like most RMC's. Tatsu is my third favorite. I love the pretzel loop. I think Full Throttle, West Coast Racers, Apocalypse, and Batman are at the next level for me. I got about 40+ rides on West Coast Racers during media day so I have a good feeling for it. I think Full Throttle is more complete than what other say. It doesn't have a lift hill and that makes it feel shorter. I am finding that I am liking Viper more and more as well. I really liked Shockwave at Six Flags Great America back in the day. Brings back those memories. I think Superman is overrated. It is a one trick pony and the trick is average. I think I like Ninja a little more than you. I have it pretty similar to Bat at KI for me. Goliath is OK. Some days I like the forces in the helix, but I will never wait more than a few trains for this ride. Riddler's- I wish this was a sit down like Kumba. I'm not a fan of stand up coasters, but I think this layout would be awesome if you were sitting like Kumba. I liked Scream when I first rode it but I find myself liking it and most floorless coasters less and less. Superman at SFFT and Medusa at SFDK are the 2 good ones that I have been on. I liked Flashback when it was Z Force at SFGAM, but hey I was a kid. I know I liked it more than Iron Wolf. I was not a fan of LaVorba when I rode it last year at SFOT. Banged me up too much and the capacity was horrible It didn't make for a good experience. And finally I have Green Lantern as the second worse coaster I have been on so I'm not sad to see it go.
Great video!
6:05 “A match made in hell”
😂😂😂
Scream is so relaxing lol I’m prob like the only one that really likes that ride 😂🤣
Twisted Colossus is the only ride that never fails to blow me away. That first drop and the hang time in the inversions are so amazing
The picture you showed of Gold Rusher with no trees is how the entire park looked like when i first went to Magic Mountain.
Tatsu is my favorite, followed closely by Twisted Colossus. I appreciate Apocalypse being so high because I think it’s underrated and my friends always wanna skip it. I also agree that Goliath is overrated and my friends always wanna ride that.
Sending scream to dl, converting riddler to a floorless, and buying Mirabilandia's Deja Vu as a revival of a great ride to put in Scream's plot. 👌
And FT's Launch is NOT weak!!
tbh 99% of launch coasters are short with only a couple elements. I personally get a little offended when ppl say that Full Throttle (“Half Throttle”) isnt long enough, especially when you compare it to other launch coasters. Just my opinion tho
Viper is the main coaster I want to reride next time I go to MM. I just really want to know what I missed the two times I’ve ridden it before because I don’t remember enjoying it much. Granted, I had an ear infection the first time I rode it but the second time wasn’t much better
I just went yesterday for the first time and went in with a positive attitude because of all the haters, but I didn't really enjoy it at all and thought it was the roughest coaster I rode in the park
"Uhh, it was okay I guess" that describes so many XD
Stupid hot rod races might not be as bad as it is if the restraints weren't actually butt, one of the few restraints I'll actually complain about, but those things were terrible x.x
I wanted to ride that tube side so bad cuz it seemed really bizarre to have a water ride in not a water park, I just had to figure out how it worked, but by the time I went it was already gone...>.>
Same thing goes for flashback, it seems like honey concept, but literally everyone says it was garbage (which when you look at the POV it's not much wonder why...), its that irl RCT2 ride that looks better on paper then in practice (though I do still wonder if it would be better if they redesigned it and worked out the Kinks it had 🤷🏿♀️)
Let's go. I have a membership. I'm going tomorrow. I think this is gonna be the 3rd time since the beginning of the year.
X2 is way better than Twisted Colossus. I mean, no airtime... but the sheer wild intensity of it. Alan Schilke was smoking the good stuff.
So, I grew up here in Southern Cal - I was alive when Magic Mountain opened! When, yes, The Gold Rusher was new. I have to say that I loved Mountain Express. It was a thrilling ride. Hated Flashback. And just by chance, I was at the park the day Colossus opened to the public. I was there for my birthday and we were walking right by it when a guy came out and announced that Colossus was now opened. We were in the first couple of rides. We were able to ride it again before the line really started to grow. It was so cool.
My dad said he loved gold rusher as a kid
I completely agree with your number one, is was amazing, the drop was great, fast lines, and it’s my favorite ride
6:36 to put this into perspective, the tunnel towards the bottom left where the monorail comes out of is now where full throttle's second and third launches are. the little piece of land that divides those two bodies of water is where the loop is. the log flume was log jammer and all of the water was removed and paved over by full throttle plaza. the building in the bottom left is the laughing dragon pizza co (probably the 4 winds steak house at the time of the pic) and the path leading up is superman now. anything in the top right is full-throttle plaza and the path leading down to full throttle sports bar. the monorail closed down in 2000 after running for 29 years. there were stations behind full throttle sports bar, where crazanity is, and in that tunnel, now used by full throttle. log jammer was removed to make way for full throttle, and the lake was drained and filled in. the massive sequoia, which is just out of frame, was a major land mark of the high sierra territory. the park gave up on maintaining a desert / gold rush theme and let the foliage and trees grow in.
omggg I am so sick of people hating on Green Lantern. Ive ridden 200 coasters and Green lantern is my 2nd at magic mountain, and 6th favorite overall. It is SO intense, yes it is painful but to me it is a laughing kind of pain. It is more intense than ANY coaster ever. That includes i305, dragster, skyrush, Steel Vengeance, all of them.

What regulation screwed with the cars on GLFF?
Apparently the cars were too light for Comifornia regulations so they had to add weights to them. Also according to CalOSHA apparently ride ops can't flip the cars if they come into the station upside down so maintenance would have to do it instead which took the ride out of action for 20-30 mins multiple times a day.
@@AdamSmith-gs2dv I don't get how there is legislated weight, shouldn't that be based on the engineering for what is best for the ride and the safety of the guests? This should be put forth as an example where said law detrimentally affected the safety of guests. I get really tired of this overlegislation kick in the last 10ish years here, I can't even order a burger medium rare at in-n-out anymore. (sorry that just really grinds my gears)
@@dark666105 welcome to California
There was a coaster like that wildcat one on the fair in my hometown when i was young. I did the coaster with my dad when i was 8 or 9. so it was late 80's. The thing had no restraints. You just had to hold on. Crazy when you think about it when nowadays the restraints are sometimes to the extreme. But thank god for the newer coasters with lapbars
I still really like Scream and have never had any issues with headaches or the like, so you can say what you want, one less person in my way of riding OneHand
If you hate Goliath so much then why did you put it so gosh darn High 😂😂 fruit, I'd rather ride some of the kiddie coasters 😂😂😂😂
It still gets a few points for being fast and smooth
I grew up at Magic Mountain, with Mountain Express and Gold Rusher my favorites as a kid. I was there for the opening of Revolution, which was revolutionary in its smoothness, and the opening of Colossus, my favorite coaster for a very long time. Fast forward to now, and my kids have to grow up with Washington State coasters, which means they grew up with Wildcat at the Puyallup /Washington State Fair. It’s the same model, as you point out, and if memory serves me right, the ride experiences are very similar. In fact, when I rode Wildcat for the first time as an adult, my first thought was that it reminded me very much of Mountain Express, and must be similar. I was so happy they could experience the same! My kids and I have about 150 credits now, and I love your analyses, as we seem to have pretty similar tastes for the most part. Except when you are clearly wrong. 😳I mean, except when our opinions differ 😀 Thanks for the fun!
The opening to this did not age well
what do you mean?
@@therealmacaron He moved to OKC
Fr takes seven seconds for the video to age badly 😂
I was there for 1 day 2 years ago (I live in Texas so it was a big deal for me) I got on X2, Tatsu, Twisted Colossus, Full Throttle, and Super Man Escape from Krypton! Not many coasters for a full day and only 1 ride on each but
I really enjoyed your home park! It was far better than my home park Sfot! In 2022 I will have enough money to visit again and it would be so cool if I could meet up with you if I do!This channel is amazing!
