I have one question: For the Hogwarts display, how did you remove the central panel and what did you use to cover the front? Because it looks like glass but Ikea does not have that I think
Question: the top one, I saw the dimensions in another comment. But how do you get it with the little glass shelf? For the bottom ones are they a different unit that have the glass shelves and if so which one?
you prolly dont give a shit but if you are bored like me during the covid times then you can watch all of the new movies and series on InstaFlixxer. I've been watching with my brother during the lockdown :)
Hi I need some help I have mostly all lego technic sets, bugatti, porsche, lambo, they are huge, what can I go for, I want a nice simple display case with lighting? Thank you.
Thank you for the comment! For PAX there are: TYSSEDAL and BERGSBO. I personally don't like them very much, I would make a bespoke glass door. Maybe made of plexiglass to be lighter and cheaper
Hello :) "UCS model on display stand measures over 17” (44cm) high, 43” (110cm) long and 26” (66cm) wide, and over 14” (37cm) high without stand". It's too big for every Ikea bookcase. I think you need a shelf, a big one :)
quick questions: 0:47 the first cm should be 120cm*40cm*64cm(128cm) (height times two for 2 besta) right? an second: are these glass fronts custom made or also from ikea? Hope it's clear what I'm trying to say ^^
Thank you for the comment! Yes for the first question. Yes for the second question. And yes it's clear :) It's a "double-besta" without the "separation" in the center. the glass fronts is custom made and it's in plexiglass to be lighter and cheaper. I also love that arrangement
@@Akitox97 sorry I mis explained myself, the front anti-dust glass is in plexiglass. I don't know more information about the glass that holds the weight of the castle
If you are talking about LEGO 10261, It's: 53x88x41cm. So you need a PAX: 100x58x201cm. The newest LEGO 10303 is: 92x85x34cm, so you also need a PAX. Because the lenght of the BILLY is maximum circa 77cm, so it's not enough :)
plexiglass+ side hinges ^^ Surely without the middle piece the ceiling of the wide besta becomes less strong so I wouldn't charge it with a lot of weight otherwise it will tend to bend
Hey there. For your long Besta, how were you able to remove the middle partition while maintaining the back board? I checked the manual, the back board can only be supported if there is a middle partition as they are 2 separate boards. Your wisdom would be greatly appreciated! Perhaps a construction video would be awesome. HAHA
Hey :) It's a single BESTÅ (120x40x38) without the central panel. They are not two single structures (60x40x64) side by side. I hope I have explained. I hope I was understandable :D
The creator told me it was a BESTÅ 120x40x38 without the central panel. I'm watching at the instructions on the IKEA website: the two back panels should be straight even without the central panel, with side connections and with the panel on top. Sorry I can't help you more. forgive me :,)
@@brickadvisor2475 The two back panels are straight no doubt, but without the central panel, there will be a small gap in between the two panels. the only Besta I saw that has the closest to closing that gap is the TV Bench version, but the top panel has a hole in it (for wires to go through) so it's not entirely suitable for my purposes too... sigh... Thanks anyways! Would be great if there could be a solution to this however haha
@@brickadvisor2475 look, the detolfs are real dust catchers, a real disaster ... But they have the best display skills. I have both billy and besta with their glass doors, but, there are several inches of space between glass and wood then also between the hinges ... you are forced to insert the foam rubber adhesive draft excluders that are used for windows and doors to try to insulate ... but still the dust gets everywhere ...
@@brickadvisor2475 I have a large liatorp display cabinet, but in addition to being very bulky and excessively expensive, it has the defect of being rather dark and having no modularity in the positioning of the shelves. However, always with draft excluders, it insulates from dust better than all the others.
Top tip, when assembling the Billy bookcases, you can add a washer to the shelves and allow for three baseplates wide.
Can you explain that?
Thanks mate. I am in the process of cleaning out my spare room for this exact purpose :)
Super thx 4 d tips magnifecent video. Dat gave me sme good ideas for UCS n Modulars... n Lego SW as well 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Hi :) IKEA BILLY 80x40x202 cm. LEDBERG for the lights. simple, clean, economical.

ÖVERSIDAN is perfect for Besta ;)

How do they do the detolf double or triple? Thanks
you have to buy a kit, the name is double-detolf. it's cheap but the effect is great" ^^
Which is best to display the big hogwarts castle
"Hogwarts™ Castle measures over 22” (58cm) high, 27” (69cm) wide and 16” (43cm) deep".
