Gluing the baseplates to the shelves seemed like a very unnecessary step and now they can't be used anywhere else. And those sand baseplates are expensive.
I’m thinking of using IKEA Lack shelves like you did, but I’m concerned about the weight bearing capacity of the shelves. Any idea how much weight is on your shelves? Thanks.
I dont know if you didnt talk about it and not show it but you didnt say you put finishing on that last tile you cut. you only said you sanded it. didnt know if it mattered to you if you missed that?
would you say sets about the size of the inquisitor ship would fit? and did use a custom stand for the razor crest? the way it sits looks awesome @@dadcrafted
8:33 Just wondering why you didn't slide off the big shelf, put the short shelf in place, and then put the big shelf back up?
😐 …that probably would have worked way better than what I did!
@@dadcrafted True to form, I’m really helpful a month too late.
Luckily, I didn’t cut that piece apart and then see this comment!

Well, I don’t plan to use them elsewhere and hopefully these shelves never move. And I used cheap plywood I bought from a big box store.
This is great! I need shelves like this for my collection
Go for it! It was a fun project!
Awesome shelves!!! Great way to display your Lego collection!
Thanks Bear! I really like how these turned out! 👊🙏🙌
How have they held up after a year or so.
Really well! They’re full of legos and still solid!
Ooh, first like and comment? Let's go! Sick shelves and Lego kits!
Thanks so much! Really happy how these turned out!

The website says 33lb max capacity on the big shelf. Guessing you can go beyond that but I’m just using Lego so should be solid!
@@dadcrafted I concur. Did my own research.
Another great build, Grant. Lucky kid! By which I mean you.
Thanks Daniel! I am a lucky kid indeed!
Great job!
Thank you! 🙌🙏
great idea, I will do the same. What height do you have between the upper and lower shelves?
Thanks! And I just did one foot between the shelves. Maybe should done more space for taller sets
Looks great! Way to stay on target!
Thank you sir! Alway on target with my Lego projects! 😃👊🙌

Probably forgot to film that clip? But yeah, I finished it.
Wow la mejor forma de darle un acabado lego a esas maravillosas baldas de ikea!!! Han kedado genial ❤
Thanks so much! 🙌🙏
That has no right to look as good as it does! Amazing idea and execution!
Appreciate that! Thanks for watching! 🙏🙌
Such an amazing idea, seems like a great idea for ikea to sell
Thanks! And ikea should definitely hit me up! 😂
1 Lego, 2 Lego. You won’t find Legos written anywhere.
Legos legos legos legos legos
Careful, your IQ is showing.
the depth of the shelf is only 10 inches how was it enough to display your bigger sets?
This is mainly for our ships. Bigger sets are gonna need another solution for sure.

@@bagduz6704 Razorcrest sits fine. And we have the big Light Cruiser set up there, just have to angle him a bit
What your measurements
There should be a link in the description for the ikea shelves I used. I used one big and one small so I think each combined is like ten feet or so.
Loved the shelves and great video well done man ❤
Thanks Steve! Really appreciate it! 🙏🙌
Those turned out awesome!!! Nice work!!
Thanks brother! Appreciate it! 🙏🙌
What a great idea!!!!!
Thanks so much! 🙌🙏
