    This is a showcase of Ms. Houston's vocal range during this live televised concert. The text in the middle of the screen represents the note(s) she is singing.
    Vocal Range: 2.5 Octaves
    Lowest Note: F3
    Highest Belted Note: F#5

    P.S. I created this video back when I was in grade 7, so don't mind the SD quality LOL.
    Enjoy :)

    Her mid-belts in "A song for you" are emblematic.One of her countless,miraculous live performances.
    Truly magnificent!
    And i like how she keeps her power all way up F#5's!Homogeneous sound throughout.
    Noothing more than divine head voice.

    Have this concert, thanks for the video! 3:58 caught me by surprise as it's probably the first time I've ever heard Whitney fall flat on a note

      Do you not find Whitney incredibly overated. Compare her to a woman who has a much larger range and has been singing for half a century, what is all the fuss about?

      Mary Dunne Bitch shut up you jealous ass. Why are you here if you think she is overrated? Her voice is AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL.......Whitney had one of those type voices with all the desired qualities. You are ignorant about voices if you can't see why all the fuss. No other singer had all the qualities in it as hers did. The girl could even sing opera. What the fuck is wrong with you. Find another voice with all the qualities in it as hers.

    Are you using the Hemoltz or English pitch notation? Your ranges don't match the American Pitch Notation, where Middle C is C4.

    • @bclislife
      @bclislife 8 лет назад +1

      +Darius Bennett Yes, these notes did match. You're mishearing the octave.

    • @TotalTennisGeek
      @TotalTennisGeek 8 лет назад +1

      +Lambily Loft No, the question was which pitch notation? Are you based out of the US? Germany perhaps? My ears are fine.

    • @bclislife
      @bclislife 8 лет назад +1

      ***** I'm American; I never said your ears were unhealthy or untrained, I just said you weren't hearing it correctly. You said this video didn't match your system of Middle C = C4, but it did. Compare some of her Head Voice C5s to a C5 on a piano and you'll see that there's little to no difference besides timbre. This video uses the American system.

      +Lambily Loft I just realized you are not the person who posted it. Sorry, my original question was addressed to C Penner. Thanks for weighing in though.
