    Just watched this one & the one on mist & reflections in mountains trees. This is sooo what I needed. I never know what to really do after the first layer and I am always unhappy with the results. Love your approach as I love this wetter or moist style all the way into the painting. I can’t wait to try a few of these soon. Funny I noticed your flower plate as I already had it on my amazon list for my next order. I like how the divisions separate the colors if you want to keep them clean & allow you to store a deeper well of color. This really helps me understand how to build the painting up in each succeeding layer.

    Hi Colin!!! I like so much your videos!!! This one in particular, is one of my first landscape that I made, when I started painting watercolors one year ago. Now I did it again and the result was better than the first one. I am happy about that. Thank you very much to teach your technics.

    Hello Mr. Walters, I am mesmerized by your beautiful painting and your way of teaching. Thank you for sharing. Could you tell us what kind of watercolour paper do you employ? It seems so great to paint on. Thank you again.

      Colin Walters. mine came out significantly different but beautiful! And I taught it to my students (crediting you) and they did it wonderfully. Thank you again for sharing this :) Question, you use Indian Yellow alot. What is a good substitute?

    • @colinwalters5281
      @colinwalters5281  6 лет назад +1

      Hi Katherine,glad things worked out well for you and your students,I like Indian Yellow in sunsets because it is a deep transparent colour,you could use Yellow Sophie deep (Sennelier Paints) or Gamboge

    • @katherinesimonds622
      @katherinesimonds622 6 лет назад

      Colin Walters Ty so much for answering. And I have new Gamboge.. A favorite color. P. S. I'm binge watching your videos and love them all! Does that make me a stalker? Lol

    • @colinwalters5281
      @colinwalters5281  6 лет назад +1

      Hi Katherine,ive got to admit i laughed out loud when reading you comment about being a stalker lol,ime still laughing now..Glad you have Gamboge in your arsenal of colours it will do the job very nicely,got to say you dont have to binge watch lol,.I am a little stuck for time at the moment so i can only manage to produce one video every two weeks, and i would like to thank you for your very kind comment.Hope you have a great day and happy painting

    I’m also wondering how much paint you take from the tube to make enough of the liquid paint in each well of the round palette. I haven’t done it this way before as I usually put my paints in a closed palette with wells & work from the dried paint in the palette which I need to spritz with water. Just watched the one with trees in winter & a frozen lake. I’m definitely addicted.

    • @colinwalters5281
      @colinwalters5281  5 лет назад +1

      I put some water in the daisy palette and wet the dry paint in the wells,transfer the paint into the daisy palette until i like the look of the strength of the paint.It also means if i do it that way and i can use any paint left over on another painting .Hope that helps Bonnie
