Hi Colin. Your art is amazing! Thank you for sharing your time and talent! I am very new to painting and think I have learned much from this lesson alone. :) If you have a moment for a story, my six (about to be seven) year old great grandson asked me to paint him a forest scene with a bear "about this big" (just above his knee). It was a tall order and I thought it beyond my burgeoning ability, but then I found this video. A couple of attempts later, I think I have a not too bad version of your painting, but the bear was a bit beyond me. I found some simple bear outlines and painted them separately though I still couldn't find a good way to add them to the painting. In the end, they are still separate, but I thought I would make it a bit of a game for him and that way he can put them where he wants them. We are celebrating his birthday this weekend. I'd like to send the "finished" painting to you, but don't see a link for doing that so I hope this story gives you a smile. Thanks again for sharing your expertise! I look forward to doing more of your tutorials!
